Ted Cruz Calls For End To Syrian / U.S. Refugee Program Following Paris Attacks…

It would appear Candidate Ted Cruz is now aligning himself with the position of Donald Trump.  It was several months ago when Trump told media he would immediately repatriate any Syrian refugee taken by the Obama administration – the media blasted him for it.    This move by Ted Cruz has a particular whiff of political opportunism to it.

Ted Cruz Value Voters SummitTED CRUZ RESPONDS TO PARIS ATTACK – “America must stand with our allies against the scourge of radical Islamic terrorism. This is an evil that does not discriminate between French, German or American, Christian, Muslim or Jew, soldier, football player, or concert goer. Their only goal is to murder those who do not submit to their vicious, totalitarian ideology. Our deepest condolences go out to our French allies, and I know the government of the United States stands by to offer any assistance necessary.

“We must now face the facts. Between the downing of the Russian jet over Egypt and this massive coordinated attack on Paris, we are seeing an unmistakable escalation of ISIS’ ambitions and the scale of their terrorist attacks outside Syria and Iraq. Even as chaos rages in Paris, we need to take immediate, commonsense steps to preserve our own safety.

We need to consult closely with our NATO allies who may be targeted for additional attacks. We need to immediately declare a halt to any plans to bring refugees that may have been infiltrated by ISIS to the United States. We need to redouble our efforts to prevent ISIS agents from penetrating our nation by other means.

“Such steps, however, are defensive reactions to an enemy that will continue to try to attack us until they succeed once again. We must immediately recognize that our enemy is not ‘violent extremism.’ It is the radical Islamism that has declared jihad against the west. It will not be appeased by outreach or declarations of tolerance. It will not be deterred by targeted airstrikes with zero tolerance for civilian casualties, when the terrorists have such utter disregard for innocent life. We must make it crystal clear that affiliation with ISIS and related terrorist groups brings with it the undying enmity of America—that it is, in effect, signing your own death warrant.”  ~ Ted Cruz

I think a lot of people feel how Mark Steyn feels – we’ve reached a tipping point. If Obama won’t draw a real red line, then the American people must insist on it, and it’s this: No Syrian refugees. But will they find a workaround?

“To repeat what I said a few days ago, I’m Islamed out. I’m tired of Islam 24/7, at Colorado colleges, Marseilles synagogues, Sydney coffee shops, day after day after day. The west cannot win this thing with a schizophrenic strategy of targeting things and people but not targeting the ideology, of intervening ineffectually overseas and not intervening at all when it comes to the remorseless Islamization and self-segregation of large segments of their own countries.”

Steyn has been on this for a decade.

The trouble is, the elites never get touched. I listened as Geraldo- Mr. Apologist- spoke to his horrified daughter, who was at the stadium. That is the closest I’ve seen a talking head or an elite get to having their chickens roasted.

He is all about killing Muslims now. If the French President had been killed, the French “leaders” would feel they had to do something. Of course, the French taxpayer would be sending ISIS a thank you note- but that is a whole other discussion.

He was mugged by reality, but will it last. I’m afraid this will have to happen to a lot more liberals. Betting on a repeat by Christmas. Today in the paper (AZ Republic/USA Today) the headlines and lead paragraphs say nothing about Islam although at least they use the “t” word. Last night on Fox I saw the most tortuous efforts to talk about this without mentioning Islam: “We don’t know what the motive is.” I hope all the nationalists in every country prosper from this.

Cruz has no credibility in my book. No vision to see what most of us have and that Donald gives voice to = seal the borders, expel illegal aliens NOW. Cruz has a longer history. Trump new on the scene. If you’ll note Trump gave Romney a hard time in 2012 over deportation.

        Here’s the quote:

“…Real estate mogul Donald Trump recently reflected on former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s loss, telling Newsmax that the candidate failed to resonate among certain demographics in part because of his “maniacal” immigration policy.

“He had a crazy policy of self-deportation, which was maniacal,” Trump said. “It sounded as bad as it was, and he lost all of the Latino vote … He lost the Asian vote. He lost everybody who is inspired to come into this country.”

Romney first unveiled the “self-deportation” idea in a debate in January, explaining that he supported strict standards on employment that he claimed would force undocumented immigrants to return to their home countries.

Trump accused Democrats of not having anything meaningful to offer in the field of immigration policy, but said that the party benefited from at least appearing to have the interests of immigrants in mind. …”

Trump’s history contains a lot of circles that need to be squared.

Love your passion. But he won’t build a wall. It will be a fence. And fences, like the ones now, are being defeated by going over, through and under. It just is.

And it won’t be a thousand miles long. As I pointed out before.

Trump has changed parties something like five times- as it has suited him. I actually don’t mind that. Independence from party is a good thing. But he may find himself alone politically if he gets elected, neither side helping out. Which means any legislation he needs passed- like fence building funding would be griped about and he is going to have to cut serious deals.

I’m not saying Trump was wrong calling out Romney, I’m saying he’s going from a position that deportation- self or otherwise- was maniacal. But HIS idea of deportation task forces snatching people up is a better sell?

            How?

But as Coulter pointed out, after Paris, he’s President. IF he doesn’t shoot himself in the foot with his mouth.

Polish the immigration stance. Focus on “protecting” those Americans already here and their jobs. Even long time illegals, who have been working for ten years don’t want new illegals getting their jobs. Focus on the national security threat. For the love of God that idiot in the White House bringing in fighting age Muslims is a headline every day till Nov!

First off, if we were tough on the existing laws, that would help a lot. Throw the book at businesses and individuals hiring illegals, strictly enforce housing laws to prevent multiple illegals cramming into housing not built for the numbers living there, immediately return those caught, with no process or housing time. End anchor baby policy. As to the sending them home and it not being possible…..14 million Americans visit Mexico every year, a five year phased return of illegals, starting first with the criminals and unemployed/those on benefits and the eventual return of those who are working and not on the US dole should not be that major. Ten planes holding 200 a day would return 60,000 a month, 720,000 a year. When this starts and the tighter controls listed above, self deportation would also start to happen. The welfare savings along would go far in covering the costs of getting them back to Mexico. Also, holding the Mexican government accountable. They are like our top country of oil imports, what are they doing with all those profits? Those profits should go towards helping with the employment issues of their returning citizens. Time for HARD BALL with common sense.

With a defeatist attitude like that, I’m not surprised you’re doubtful. The wall Trump has in mind- as he has already expressed, will be on a par with Israel’s. If his past construction endeavors are any indication (Hello), we can can expect him to do exactly what he says he will do. Except for a part of Texas, the border is desert; not so much unlike the topography where Israel’s wall is built. I hope he puts TRUMP right on it in big, gold, BOLD letters. He’ll have earned it.

How? The American people is how. Maybe we can’t do it alone (although we did when they tried to ram amnesty through in 2007. Not so much 0bamacare because things had changed when the democrats took both houses of Congress & they went bat guano) & the president can’t do it alone (though 0bama has done it just fine. So would Cruz, so would Jeb- or any of the others. Don’t kid yourself.) Fighting Congress together would be, hopefully, a whole new ballgame.

Sorry, but bringing the canard of “changing parties” undermines your credibility, imho. That hasn’t got a blessed thing to do with this topic. I believe I’ve got your number, archer.

If POTUS, and the families of killed-in-action American Servicemen come to the Oval Office, Pres. Trump will be emotionally prepared. Years of thinking about it, weighing the gut wrenching emotions. A commitment.

Other candidates now piling on is cheap. I don’t like it, and I don’t trust them. They both would have to do a ton to convince me that they are emotionally committed to the very hard work of fixing this massive immigration problem.

My suspicious self agrees with the commentor last night on the Paris thread who said Obama was angry because they had jumped the gun, spoiled the surprise he had when his imported Syrians did the same thing, he declared martial law, cancelled the election, and became dictator. This is the recent wrinkle of a conspiracy theory that’s been around since 2009, that he never planned to leave, built the FEMA camps for dissenters, tried to raise a domestic force through TSA, DHS, BLM by arming them, etc. It fits his actions so well it’s hard to dismiss.
Those FEMA camps, though, could be a good place to corral the invaders…

      NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) –
The flood of refugees migrating from the terror in Syria and Afghanistan has begun to have a trickle effect in the New Orleans area.
As local humanitarian agencies continue to serve refugees from Syria who find their way here, *”there are multiple background checks that are done on these families and it is part of our Christian faith to welcome the stranger,” said Gutierrez.

Please not the lies right there in the first sentence — “migrating” — they are NOT migrating, they are being relocated and they aren’t “fleeing terror” — they are bringing terror.
Oh, and the “local humanitarian agencies” –that is CATHOLIC CHARITIES — a part of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. ISIS is literally beheading Christians in the Middle East and the so-called Catholic church is helping them come to the US.

I said don’t you get it? Talk about systematic racism, that’s what Catholics are facing, and it’s all good, b/c we’re nuts, right? I asked her, “you’re Jewish, think about all the things that Obama has said against Christianity, and replace that word with Jews…how would that go over with you? When it’s Passover, do people wish you happy holidays? When Obama takes to Twitter, does he offer Muslims happy holidays, or does he say, Michelle and I offer you our best wishes for a happy Ramadan?”

Walid Shoebat translated on his website the front page of a liberal Egyptian newspaper shortly after the Egyptian Army arrested Morsi and his ilk. What was said was that The Army had confiscated documents in Morsi’s office that indicated Obeyme and his entire Kenyan family were members of MusBros Int’l. and that Obeyme funneled $8 BILLION to half-bro Roy (Malik) for Egyptian MB to aid Hamas in taking over the Sinai Peninsula. Of course, Obeyme denied it. Didn’t that Russian plane that was bombed a few weeks ago depart from the Sinai?

The story is probably in Shoebat’s archives.

All fine and good, but what is he going to do about CAIR and all the islamo sleeper/lone wolves that are already here? Sorry, but all this is a day late and a dollar short. Many, many Americans know what is going on, and those in Washington do too, yet they have done nothing to stop it. Instead they welcome it, and pay w/our tax dollars to make it happen.

Hundreds of innocent lives have been taken yet again in the name of Islam, once again the world watches in horror, and once again nothing will be done because a handful will be offended, and the rest will be afraid of being called a bigot or islamophobe.

An islamophobe is someone who has an irrational fear of islam. I, for one, have a rational fear of islam, so I can not be labeled an islamophobe. Anyone who has that same rational fear, needs to denounce the attempt to label them, and make a statement to that affect.
A bigot has no reason for not liking another for whatever reason. I have a valid reason for my feelings about muslims, and therefore am not a bigot, and will state the same to anyone who calls me a bigot.
You can win the labeling bout with the truth, and maintain your beliefs without condemnation.
All muslims are one step away from becoming terrorists.

Cruz’s main concern from what’s posted here is about so-called NATO and “our” so-called allies. NATO should be disbanded. Ted is a disgrace to push NATO as if bombs can stop this. The only way to stop this from endangering Americans is to stop all Muslim immigration (this means no more Muslim enrollment in US universities), ban all Muslims from government, ban all sharia courts, and ban all other Muslim groups. US taxpayers are still forced to pay $9 billion a month for a so-called war in Afghanistan. Everyone including Ted Cruz knows that the $9 billion is going to organized crime that runs Afghanistan and to US military industry profiteers. Ted, why haven’t you gotten us out of that one?

islam is not a religion, it is a subversive government cloaked in the guise of a religion. It should be made illegal in the US. If anyone identifies as a muslim, they should be deported to a muslim run country. muslims is required to tell you what ever you will believe to promote the expansion of islam. You can not believe anything they say about islam. When the elite of the US get it through their thick skulls, that the muslims will eventually come for them, and their heads, maybe they will support the truth.

Just read Cruz’s immigration ideas. Great detail. Good points overall. I was disappointed his enforcement of employee violations were so tepid. But the penalties are ones easily used and enforced. Better than nothing.

I read the one Sundance provided. Not bad. I would say that we don’t need to do one a year. Walk and chew gum. Building a wall won’t happen for a long time- as I pointed out before. So much quicker and easier to go after the employers first. Take away the sugar. Take away the benefits- but get ready for the lawsuits and fed judges blocking that order.

The visa overstay abuse is easy money too. They know who they are already- pictures, addresses, associates, fingerprints, etc. It’s just finding them. And the violations are clear. No excuses. Take the now idle “Obama-air” planes that were bringing Syrians and use them to fly out violators.

No need to land, just fly low over the home nation, open the door and push
