OAN/GRAVIS have published an exclusive poll based entirely on the results from last night’s CNN debate (full pdf below).  The poll shows the majority of those questioned viewed Carly Fiorina won the debate and reflects a predictable surge:

According to this result, both Fiorina and Rubio gained status and favorable opinion amid those Republicans polled.

This visible outcome was the specific intent of the GOPe strategy (previously discussed).
You might remember from our pre-debate discussion “Operation Hummingbird” was based around the following Karl Rove strategy:

The angle of intellectual superiority, and thereby vulgarian diminishment, will come from two specific sides, Carly Fiorina and Marco Rubio.  Both acting as shields and swords for Jeb.

Rand Paul will be the muckraker, assigned to go grab Trump, pull him into the mud, and be the visible representation for those amid the electorate who have not yet seen Jindal and Pataki’s pre-debate assault…..  Christie and Kasich will be Rand Paul’s relief and relay team once Paul reaches the point of overkill.

Chris Christie doing the same number on Trump that he did for Romney on Gingrich ’12. And Kasich at the pearl-clutching ready to highlight all this horrible division and non-productive “polarization”.   The goal of the three amigo’s to paint Trump is an “extremist, racist, crazy, vulgarian, nativist, sexist, only-worthy-of-reality-TV ” etc.

This paves the way for the “high-brow” tag-team of Rubio and Fiorina to step in with their well rehearsed 30 second sound bites the cocktail class republicans know and love.

Carly with her pursed lips and condescending tone, a fave of the elites when encountered; Rubio with his pontifications explaining what skill sets are demanded for the most important job in the world, and how Donald Trump doesn’t have them…. etc. (link)

The impact results in the OAN/GRAVIS poll reflect a successful outcome exactly according to plan.

Rove Inc. (funded Super-PACs) now shift to embed the narrative.  Again, understanding the RNC/GOPe beast is vitally important.  Wall Street financiers have paid Rove to strategize the road map, eliminate the hurdles (Trump) and get back to the common goal, Hillary VS Bush.
Karl knows that U.S. politics is downstream from popular culture; therefore he knows to use Hollywood, K-Street and Park Row media as well as Madison Avenue to sell his meme.  The 36 hour shock and awe campaign to up-sell Fiorina and create the book end approach (Carson and Fiorina) is aimed to squeeze out the risk, Donald Trump.
[*Note* It appears from Rove’s talking points that Jeb’s protege’ Marco Rubio is becoming a more essential part of the program.   Rubio has always been an integral part of the Jeb plan, it’s important he remains well positioned to provide the needed influence.]
Ben Carson showed his weakness last night.  As a result his use as a stop-gap against the surging Trump is now diminished.   Before last night Fox News president Roger Ailes was a willing participant in the promote Carson angle:

According to multiple Fox sources, Fox chairman Roger Ailes has been impressed by Carson, a former Fox pundit, and is promoting his candidacy inside the network. However, as a direct consequence of weakness we are now entering a transitional phase where Rove will slowly move out Ben Carson and replace him with Marco Rubio.  The GOPe bookends then become the more well skilled Rubio and Fiorina.
With Rubio and Fiorina both central insiders to the professional party apparatus, and part of the GOPe road map to nominate Jeb Bush, it is simply brilliant Rovesque strategery.  He’s repositioning assets as a direct result of the success from Operation Hummingbird.

To assist with the overall goals/objectives, and within 24 Hours of the CNN debate, Fox has now moved James Rosen into position to shadow the Fiorina Campaign.

It will be much easier to remove Trump’s visible polling advantage by emphasizing Carly Fiorina.   If Rove can get Rubio on the other side of Trump he will have pulled off the perfect optical contrast to aid mission #1 – eliminate Trump.  As much as we dislike the manipulative intents of Rove, you have to admit his campaign prowess is brilliant.

What you get with Carly Fiorina is a very well rehearsed set of talking points which come as a direct result of her being Chair of the CIA and NSA Advisory Board under Michael Haden.
Carly likes to portray herself as the “DC outsider”, however she’s been a consummate member of the GOPe party apparatus for years extending back into the Bush administration.
Fiorina worked on John McCain’s ’07/’08 team, and then attempted to win a California Senate seat in ’10 (against Barbara Boxer).  After failing in both endeavors she worked on, and was a spokesperson for Mitt Romney in ’11/’12; another failure.  Romney talked Carly into running this campaign season in order to benefit the party apparatus and assist Jeb’s chances.
