NBC revealed today an NBC poll conducted by Survey Monkey.  In part because the polling doesn’t lend well to the preferred media ratings narrative, NBC is bending over backward to say the poll is “not scientific“.  DATA HERE

POLL DATA
POLL DATA

The poll shows Donald Trump retaining the lead amid popular opinion, this is despite 29% of the same people polled saying Trump “lost” the debate (the highest losing margin).
When asked: who won the debate?

♦ Carly Fiorina 22%
♦ Donald Trump 18%
♦ Marco Rubio 13%
♦ Ted Cruz 12%
♦ Ben Carson 8%

When asked:  Who Lost?

♦ Donald Trump 29%
♦ Rand Paul 14%
♦ Jeb Bush 11%
♦ Chris Christie 9%

Generally, this polling information appears to be in-line with the overall sentiments of the majority of independent observers, myself included.
While Donald Trump didn’t do so well, in essence he lost; his loss was offset in large measure because of the blatant severity of the attack against him by the agenda driven Fox News Team of moderators. Consequently he lost because he was made to look bad, and he won because it was obvious they were trying to make him look bad.  In essence, it was a wash.
Carly Fiorina won because of her well rehearsed and precision tested arguments.  This also improves her overall polling numbers, and as previously outlined will most likely be reflected in national polling improvements which would put her on the “Main Field” stage for the next round of debates.   Both Fiorina and Carson gained the lift.
Ted Cruz also improved his overall polling because, like Carly, he was articulate and direct, however – the expectations for Cruz are also higher due to his national visibility and name recognition.
Scott Walker retained his place, but Megyn Kelly’s question about abortion was intended to take the shine off him a little, and expose his vulnerability (ie. position him as a Todd Akin like extremist) – and her mission was essentially accomplished.
Jeb Bush went into the debate with 12% support, and according to this single NBC snapshot, exited with 7%.    The larger electorate just isn’t into Jeb, they will never be, and the goal of the GOPe machine is to elect him despite that.
As a consequence The GOPe machine, Tom Donohue, The CoC, Wall Street, etc. might not be pleased with Jeb’s performance – but that doesn’t disrupt, too much, the overall strategy.  YET.
The GOPe, through the professional media spin machine, will just continue spending an inordinate amount of time pumping Jeb’s levels back up to pre-debate acceptability.
TRIPWIRE ALERT – Entering the race, pre-June/July ’15 Chris Christie was the anticipated attack dog for Jeb’s defense.  He really wasn’t supposed to begin playing the role until after Iowa in February ’16.
However, with Trump entering the race, and immediately starving all of the “establishment candidates of oxygen” the strategy needed to be adjusted.  They initially used Perry, but Perry just ended up sounding like an angry Texan, and his attacks rang increasingly hollow.
Hoping to capitalize on John McCain, Lindsey Graham tried to help Perry with Trump – but Trump outwitted him via the cell phone comparison.
Moving forward look for Carly Fiorina to take the point on attacking Donald Trump from behind.  Carly will carefully look for opportunities to aim arrows into soft tissue.  The media will enhance, highlight and paint the target.
Remember Carly is in this race at the behest of the GOPe strategy to add womens enlightenment to the race, and provide gender fracturing.  While Carly likes to paint herself as an outsider, she worked for the McCain election in 08′ and the Romney election in ’12.  Carly is every bit of establishment as the professional political class she claims to rail against.

Carly Fiorina supports: “The Dream Act”, Man-made Global Warming, Carbon Tax/Trading proposals, and Common Core ed.  In addition she’s aligned with Jeb’s position on immigration.   Yes, you’ll note these are all U.S. Chamber of Commerce specific policy agenda items.   That is not accidental.

The US CoC legislative initiatives above along with retention of ObamaCare and expansion of foreign trade deals, and Wall Streets interests via Federal Reserve policy (interest rates etc.), are what McConnell / Boehner et al are being paid to protect.

To summarize who is controlling who, and who is really trying to get to the White House via an actual honest run.
The control group is:  Candidate = Jeb Bush.  Facilitated by: Rick Perry, Chris Christie, John Kasich, Lindsey Graham, George Pataki, Jim Gilmore, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina and most importantly, Marco Rubio.
The honest, but still influenced, GOP candidates are:  Scott Walker, Ted Cruz and Bobby Jindal.
The goal of Tom Donohue (Wall Street) who orchestrates the control group – is to keep Walker, Cruz and Jindal from victory.  They represent a threat to the legislative priorities.
They also create an uncomfortable situation of excuse removal for the GOP.  That’s essentially like sunlight on stuff they do not want sunlight upon.  Example ObamaCare:

  • The GOP blamed Dem congress for ObamaCare, saying they were in the minority.  So we have them the house.
  • The GOP then blamed Harry Reid’s blocking strategy in the Senate.  So we gave them the Senate.
  • Now the GOP blame executive veto for keeping ObamaCare.  If Walker, Cruz or Jindal get in the White House, the GOP will have lost their excuse.

All of Donohue’s legislative priorities must be protected, including the retention of ObamaCare.
The Wild Card, who was NEVER part of the original roadmap, is:
Donald Trump presidential race
