Tuesday Open Thread – May 26th

tomb of the unknown - memorial dayOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Awesome. Thanks czarowniczy. I have huge respect and admiration for the military, this video and the songs truly reinvigorate this respect. Wish I had to do it all over again, If I knew 50 years ago what I know now, I would have defied my mom and joined up.

Ohhhhhh – if I could only go back 50 years…hmmmm, never would have bought that Vega, would have eaten fewer fried fruit pies and most likely still have made the really stupid mistakes.

Does that bring back memories! They fought our wars, AND they also had outstanding voices. After WWII they gathered in the kitchen next to my bedroom, had a bit, shared some blarney and sang their hearts out. Really close, tight harmony. On a good night, one brought his bagpipes. We’d have been tossed out of our apartment except that my grandfather owned the place. Actually, the neighbors would drop by to ask for requests.

So this clip from close to my neck of the woods this weekend is making rounds. Some local low key SJW trying to make something of it. Woman clearly has a object (weapon…telescoping baton?) in her right hand as shes approaching LEO ignoring commands to stay back. She got tazed and dropped hard.

Yep. After Big Bad Mamma gets knocked down by her rival, she whips something out (I’m thinking baton as well). Note to thugs: when approached by officers, compliance is your friend. Good Taser shoot!

IMO, this is by design. Big Bird is just operating on orders from higher HQ. It’s hard to implement “federal policing” and “federal oversight” if all is quiet on the (New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia ….) front.

Just after his selection, roving gangs of feral black teens began moving into majority white neighborhoods, vandalizing property, smashing street and building lights, and harassing and terrorizing people, when previously, it was unusual to see a black – any black – in these neighborhoods. The timing, coordinated activites and escalating violence which Big Bird seems to incite rather than cool with his pandering rhetoric, would seem to indicate that this is all planned and part of a deeper “master plan”.

Most racist employer in the country exposed.

Fifteen point six percent of black men are employed by the government, while only 12.5% of white men are; 21.4% of black women work for the government while 18.2% of white women do. These figures are especially stunning because there are many fewer black than white people; to achieve this disparity, the government has to employ a lot more black than white people.

Considering that blacks make up less than 13% of the population this makes the U.S. government the most race biased employer in the country.

Well, that didn’t take long. Thad Cochran marries longtime aide. I guess they can’t axe him about the sweetheart deal he had for a room anymore. 🙄

    • Yeah, she’s the same “aide” that Thad denied having a relationship with while his wife’s health deteriorated in a nursing facility. According to his campaign staff, it was time to “move along, nothing to see here, folks!” when his ailing wife was photographed. Some politicians have figurative “skeletons in the closet” but Thad had something more substantial which he didn’t want the public to know about.

And it worked, too. The lo-fo black dems that he recruited and bused to the polls illegally voted to give him the Republican nomination. Oh well, that is Mississippi’s problem. But I can’t help to wonder how it was that Chris McDaniel failed to file his “challenge suit” to the run-off results in a timely manner?

      • Dixie says:

who in the world in their right mind would want to marry that pre Alzheimer victim who already displays senility. All he really wants is a nurse. But she deserves whatever she gets….or is the aide a man?

    • I never could understand how lawsuits (like that one) ever get filed in the first place. How can one reasonably ask for damages after using a product in a manner other than its intended purpose, to illegally refine a substance and into another substance that may, in itself, be illegal?

    Wake Up America!

A friend of mine is a small business owner who has been purchasing MATCO TOOLS since his automotive career began more than 40 years ago. Over the weekend he attended the NHRA Races at Heartland Park Topeka, as he has also done since he was a young man.

As usual, the treatment was royal, with several exceptions that really make me both sad and mad, and even more so considering it was Memorial Day Weekend and Heartland Park Topeka.

The first thing he was handed at the MATCO TOOLS Tent was a charging device proudly stamped “MATCO TOOLS”. A very innovative USB Power Pack. So why would I be upset?

Turn it over and it says “Made in China”.

The NHRA t-shirts he bought for the grandkids. “Made in Haiti.”

Maybe you care, maybe you don’t care. But you might want to think about this over the next year. That was most likely his last trip to Heartland Park Topeka for an NHRA Race, or any other activity. Look it up.

    Thank You!

    • ytz4mee says:

I guess it depends on your definition of “brightest and the best”.

There’s more to intelligence and being the “best” than just the ability to memorize well and perform well on standardized tests, which is why many schools look for other indicators of ability to think creatively and be innovative.

However, the Asians bringing it to the BGI at Harvard is highly entertaining.

    • John Galt says:

“the Black-over-Asian advantage in college admissions was equivalent to 450 SAT points on a 1600 point scale (e.g. an 1100 Black score, other things being equal, carried the same weight in admissions as an Asian score of 1550).”

40 IQ points. Explains things like Obozo and Baltimore.

  25. Obama thinks it’s time to “reassess” the allocation of US military assets (weapons) being sent ti Iraq. Makes me wonder if he has finally decided to simply give the tanks and artillery pieces directly to the IS fighters, thereby preventing injury (or even death) to the Iraqi government forces who regularly abandon them when they beat feet out of the “hot” zones.

Just another way that our Coward-In-Chief is saving lives in the Middle East.

  26. And HERE is a SCOTUS case to watch:

Supreme Court to hear challenge to Texas redistricting plan

The Supreme Court in 1964 ruled that states must divide electoral districts population-wise so that political power is equally shared. But it did not specify whether total population or eligible voters was the standard to use.

A shift from using total population would have an enormous impact in states with large immigrant populations, where greater numbers are children or noncitizens. It would shift power from urban areas to more rural districts.

Any bets on how the SCOTUS will rule? I, personally, used to believe that they would rule in favor of supporting US citizens, and allow for fair boundaries that would ensure citizens were equally represented. Now I’m not so certain.

Considering that political representatives represent all constituents, not just eligible voters, I would hope total population is the number to use. But the total population should not include illegals. Just legal citizens, as you state.

The ND Walmart shooter is black. No motive has been determined. He seems to have just randomly shot at the employees before turning the gun on himself.

It will be interesting to see if he has any links with occupy, BLM, FTP or Islam. Maybe he was just mentally unstable. I am guessing the media will just drop it now anyway, since he was not a white “homegrown terrorist”.

The suspect of the shooting incident at Wal-Mart Tuesday morning has been identified as Marcell Willis, a 21-year-old active duty Air Force, assigned to the Grand Forks Air Force Base.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Marcell Willis entered the Wal-Mart store just after 1 a.m.

He apparently encountered two Wal-Mart employees shortly after entering the store. Police say it appears he shot both employees; injuring one and killing the other.

Reports indicated that he continued into the store, and encountered another Wal-Mart employee.

It appears that he fired his weapon again, but the round did not strike that employee.

Willis reportedly continued through the store, and does not appear to have encountered anyone else before he suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
