An 18-year-old High School basketball player was arrested for having sex with a 14-year-old.    The 18-year-old claims the sex was consensual.   The older student took the younger into the bathroom where they had sex.   The younger student’s parents became aware of the relationship by monitoring their daughters social media accounts.
The adult-student was expelled from High School, told not to have contact.   They violated that condition, and were subsequently arrested by police.
Should be no big deal right?   I mean, beyond the obvious sexual assault issues, really no reason for the media to be involved…
Wrong.
The media went into a full frontal advocacy position because both the older perp and the younger victim were female.
I thought the “gay rights” movement was all about “equality”?

Apparently the left-wing gay advocates see themselves as more equal than others.  As in, above the law.   They even made petitions and hundreds of thousands of people signed them.   There is an entire “Free Kate” movement, based around the premise the relationship was consensual and they are “in love”.
It is not funny how that “love” angle is used to excuse to gay pedophiles, while other heterosexual adult-minor relationships are frowned upon.  Well, at least they should be.  The application here is toxic regardless of sexual orientation.
Two media reports to showcase the narrative.
The first is the warm and fuzzy media version where the self imposed job of the media is to introduce the older, Kaitlyn Hunt, as the victim of wrongful prosecution.   –READ THAT STORY HERE-  Its replete with supportive parents, and marches, and demands….
Civil rights? Kaitlyn Hunt's parents took her case public after they claimed she was targeted because she is gay
The Second report is more recent update where the media-positioned adult victim would not stop contacting the 14-year-old, kept sending text messages including naked selfies, and had a plea offer withdrawn after the police found over 20,000 continual text messages. –READ THAT STORY HERE
