Benjamin Crump on AC360 last night.  Anderson Cooper asks him a question about “Dee Dee” (whom everyone assumes is witness #8) and his involvement in finding her – Watch Crump strategically parse words to deflect the “media evidence” onto the phone records.

Dee Dee  (16 year old, hospitalized, minor child, with extremely concerned parents) becomes known as a phone number.   A phone number is not a person.

Why?

Because then the owner of the phone number, whoever she is selected to be, becomes Dee Dee.

If the ownership of the phone number is changed, Dee Dee can evolve, and the phone number owner can, presto, become 18-year-old, non hospitalized, Witness #8 Rachel Jeantel.

Hence Dee Dee and Witness #8 become one person so long as no media team asks why she was described as 16, and hospitalized etc.  No-one has ever demanded he reconcile the description.

Watch.   He is very careful to choose his words and avoid direct answering of any questions around “Dee Dee” / Witness #8 “Rachel Jeantel“.

…..And this “Rachel Jeantel”  has about as much a chance of being Trayvon’s “girlfriend” as Ray Charles shooting skeet.

How to say it politely?…. well, she um, doesn’t *fit* the Trayvon Bae profile.
