CBS Report: U.S. Had Predator Drone Over Benghazi As Attack Happened, “They Stood, And They Watched, And Our People Died”… […]
CBS News has been told that, hours after the attack began, an unmanned Predator drone was sent over the U.S. mission in Benghazi, and that the drone and other reconnaissance aircraft apparently observed the final hours of the protracted battle.
The State Department, White House and Pentagon declined to say what military options were available. (read more)

WASHINGTON DC - Across 166 pages of internal State Department documents – released today by a pair of Republican congressmen pressing the Obama administration for more answers on the Benghazi terrorist attack – slain U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and the security officers assigned to protect him repeatedly sounded alarms to their superiors in Washington about the intensifying lawlessness and violence in Eastern Libya, where Stevens ultimately died.
On September 11 – the day Stevens and three other Americans were killed – the ambassador signed a three-page cable, labeled “sensitive,” in which he noted “growing problems with security” in Benghazi and “growing frustration” on the part of local residents with Libyan police and security forces. These forces the ambassador characterized as “too weak to keep the country secure.”
In the document, Stevens also cited a meeting he had held two days earlier with local militia commanders. These men boasted to Stevens of exercising “control” over the Libyan Armed Forces, and threatened that if the U.S.-backed candidate for prime minister were to prevail in Libya’s internal political jockeying, “they would not continue to guarantee security in Benghazi.”
Roughly a month earlier, Stevens had signed a two-page cable, also labeled “sensitive,” that he entitled “The Guns of August: Security in Eastern Libya.” Writing on August 8, the ambassador noted that in just a few months’ time, “Benghazi has moved from trepidation to euphoria and back as a series of violent incidents has dominated the political landscape…The individual incidents have been organized,” he added, a function of “the security vacuum that a diverse group of independent actors are exploiting for their own purposes.”
“Islamist extremists are able to attack the Red Cross with relative impunity,” Stevens cabled. “What we have seen are not random crimes of opportunity, but rather targeted and discriminate attacks.” His final comment on the two-page document was: “Attackers are unlikely to be deterred until authorities are at least as capable.”
By September 4, Stevens’s aides were reporting back to Washington on the “strong Revolutionary and Islamist sentiment” in the city.
Scarcely more than two months had passed since Stevens had notified the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice and other agencies about a “recent increase in violent incidents,” including “attacks against western [sic] interests.” “Until the GOL [Government of Libya] is able to effectively deal with these key issues,” Stevens wrote on June 25, “the violence is likely to continue and worsen.”
After the U.S. consulate in Benghazi had been damaged by an improvised explosive device, earlier that month, Stevens had reported to his superiors that an Islamist group had claimed credit for the attack, and in so doing, had “described the attack as ‘targeting the Christians supervising the management of the consulate.”
“Islamic extremism appears to be on the rise in eastern Libya,” the ambassador wrote, adding that “the Al-Qaeda flag has been spotted several times flying over government buildings and training facilities…”
The documents also contain evidence that the State Department’s denials of requests for enhanced security in Benghazi in the months leading up to 9/11 may have contributed to the ability of the attackers to plan their assault on the consulate and annex grounds without being detected.
“I’ve been placed in a very difficult spot,” said Eric A. Nordstrom, the regional security officer who testified before a House hearing last week, in a February 12 email to a colleague, “when the ambassador [Gene Cretz, at that time] that I need to support Benghazi but can’t direct MSD [a mobile security detachment] there and been advised that DS [Diplomatic Security] isn’t going to provide more than 3 agents over the long term.” (read more)

I just reviewed this video of Ambassador Steven’s body in the Libyan morgue. (Warning)
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=4da_1347491314
What I just noticed is that you can see that he is still wearing the grimy t-shirt. Originally they reported that the Libyan doctor worked on him for 90 minutes, but that has now been whittled down to 45 minutes. I understand thier procedures might be different, but I find it hard to believe they worked on him for 45 minutes and didn’t cut off his t-shirt.
Hillary immediately said that he was brought to the hospital by the “Libyans”, but did she know that because she watched the video? Did they bring him to the hospital because a dead hostage was worthless to them?
It has been claimed that he was at the hospital by 1 am, and that they used his cell phone to reach other Americans by using redial. So who was it that they reached? Not only do we need to see the video from the compound but we need to see the video from the drone too.

It may be helpful to get a screecap of the hand print and smear down the wall of the same area as the bloody toilet. (3:00 mark)
What are the red marks on his chest where his t-shirt has been pulled away from his neck? (1:20)
I’m also curious why the unbuckled pants appear quite wet but not the t-shirt. (1:38)
Was he wearing shoes when pulled from the building?
LikeLike
You just made me recognize something. Those trousers he is wearing are suit trousers. They have a specific waistband buckle that allows the waist band to expand and contract. (think rented tux) This means he was in a suit, which makes sense because he just finished a dinner with the Turkish diplomats. However, when he retired to his room he never took off the suit trousers. Might be nothing – Then again, depending on his particulars, if he was a detailed guy he would probably retire the entire suit upon relaxing, not just the jacket…. prolly nuthin’.

It could be something. I’ve been wondering what he was wearing when summoned from his bedroom, and how much time there was to get to the safe room. What’s the emergency protocol?

Quite possible. I thought about that, but the pants are saturated in back and side, but only slightly wet in front. (Why the unbuckled pants?)

Ok wow, this is first time ive seen this video “uncut”. It looks like Stevens is wearing shoes when coming thru the window (feet looks shiny) and his pants are definately wet in back area. I’m wondering with the red mark on shoukder blade, the bloody toilets and wet clothes could he have been electrocuted? Also with the heavy smoke those trapped could have taken refuge at the water source. Didn’t Bret Beirs report reveal that the men were laying on the bathroom floor where could get some air?
What i find even worse is that the video clearly shows the attackers faces yet still after 5 weeks there has been no justice or answers and IMHO will never be because the Obama administration including State, DOD, CIA & the FBI don’t care. For the families and the rest of the country to be forced to wait until after the election is just plain treasonous.

When you use a tazer you cannot restrain the receipient because the shock would carry through to the person doing the restraining. The shock itself depending on length, duration, and number of times done would lead to immediate rapid convulsions and violent muscle constriction. In essence the victim would be thrashing about uncontrollably….. up to and including bashing their head on the fixtures. Repeated Tazer shock would also induce loss of bowel control etc. etc.

You and me too…. :( He ain’t dead – he could quite possibly be unconcious, possibly from shock. Wetness on back and side from bathroom floor water. Set him on toilet then release from restraint by cohorts as taser dart fired. He convulses, body falls to floor, seems unconcious. Use sink to splash water on him to revive – repeat again as needed…. til shock induced coma makes him unable to be reawakened ?????
Then body abandoned, no longer useful…. just take the damned safe with them instead of trying to open. All of this takes time…. up to hours….. plausible.
What I can say wth 50% confidence is your suspicion about that collar bone wound does align with a moderately penetrating taser dart. Modest blood trickle, and burned tissue around the area of dart entrance.

Defiant insider: Benghazi attack clearly planned
The Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, was planned and “not spontaneous,” a U.S. intelligence official has told The Washington Times.
The official’s statement rebuts news reports that there is no evidence the attack was planned, even as the intelligence community says al Qaeda-linked militants carried out the deadly assault. The official, who is not authorized to talk to the news media, asked to remain anonymous.
…
The U.S. intelligence official, who has access to a wide swath of reporting from various spy agencies, told The Times that a few days after the attack, “We looked at it and said, ‘There is enough information here. There’s a body of evidence here that we resolvedly say, tells us, that this was not a spontaneous attack.’ We adjusted our assessment.”
…
Bart Bechtel, a former CIA operations officer who supports Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, said Mr. Clapper’s immediate assessments “stretch credulity.”
“Clapper had to have known the true situation,” Mr. Bechtel said. “However, the White House and State [Department] went out ahead of the [director of national intelligence] and put out the official administration propaganda signaling the line they intended to take. Clapper could follow along or look for another job.”

Gunfire erupted shortly before 10 p.m., according to a Libyan-American witness who was among the patrons at the popular Venezia restaurant across the street from the compound’s rear entrance. He asked to not be named for fear of reprisals.
The witness said he watched a group of eight to 12 men armed with automatic weapons and a rocket launcher gather at the rear gate, displaying the black flag of Ansar al-Sharia, a Benghazi Islamist militia.
“Some people with beards and Kalashnikovs were standing there,” he said in an interview. “The guys from Sharia were there; they had their flags.”
Shortly afterward, the witness said, shooting began at the compound’s main entrance, which he couldn’t see, and then a Libyan guard employed by the Americans opened the rear gate. After some shouting, several attackers opened fire with Kalashnikov automatic rifles and a rocket-propelled grenade.
“Another guy used an RPG,” he said. “Ansar Al Sharia guys, they fired the RPG, no doubt; I saw it.”

The Venezia cafe, Benghazi’s plushest nightspot, sits across from the bullet-riddled back gate of the burned-out consulate compound. Since the attack the diplomats who used to eat there are gone. “They used to come every day,” says Mahmoud Ged, an Egyptian waiter with a nervous smile. “I don’t know when they will be back.”

I got to Benghazi on the 13th, as the first reporters began picking their way through the detritus, and stayed on to watch the anger against the militias build among the population — along with indignation over the failure of police to show up and investigate the crime scene. (The image above shows the deserted consulate building as it looked last week.)
Plenty of people had a view of the dozen armed men gathering outside the back gate just prior to the attack, and all were adamant that there was no protest. The first the witnesses knew of the attack was the sound of gunfire from around the front of the embassy, followed by an attempt by a Libyan guard to escape through the rear. He was ordered back inside by the armed men who, say the witnesses, then fired through the back gate.

So far review plausibility leads to conclusion of unconcious but not dead when dragged out of window. Unconcious or shock induced coma. What is absolute is the guys pulling out the body ain’t good samaritan Libyan peeps trying to help. No way. Their might have been some later, but these window dragging guys are regarding Stevens unconcious(?) body as a trophy…. of sorts. Some of them appear creeped out thinking he is dead. Others seem to confirm he ain’t dead yet.
Maybe these tasers were what actually killed Sean Smith? Tortured for Safe Combo? He dies, they turn to Stevens for same and overdo it? He dies as a result of a shock induced coma… body shuts down organ by organ, system by system, over time…. I know this sounds gruesome but unfortunately all dots align as plausible.
