(Examiner.com)…Sarah Palin:  “Don’t retreat! Reload!”
Arizona’s Senator John McCain is a time tested war hero. He has seen more than his share of horror on the battle field. You would think that with his experiences he would have preserved his killer instincts for the  political battle field. Something has happened though and he seems to want to compromise at every corner and throw in the towel with every fight. Raising the debt ceiling was his latest surrender. He told us if we did not raise it disaster would come. He voted to raise it and disaster has come anyway. It just seems like there is no more fight in him to do the right thing.
Sarah Palin on the other hand, his Vice Presidential nominee of the last elections, has the steeled resolve to win that McCain wishes he still had.
If you watch Sarah Palin’s Alaska  you walk away with two major ideas. Sarah is firmly anchored in reality and she carefully weighs the consequences of ignoring reality. President Obama has ignored reality for the last 3 years and he is getting a whipping from its consequences that he will never forget as long as he lives.
Sarah knows hunting and fishing very well. She knows how to go after her prey. That is the ultimate lesson in dealing with reality. Right now she is hunting her predatory rivals and assessing them. The same skills she learned out in the Alaska wilderness she is using against her rivals. That includes Obama. This is obvious.  These skills should in no way be underestimated. They are formidable.  Her rivals have no such real time killer skills like this.  If you are going to hunt something the last thing you do is announce when you are going to slaughter the animal. Sarah is not going to tell her rivals how she will slaughter them even though that is precisely how she is thinking. You just watch her shoot a caribou on the Alaskan tundra and you watch her skin the animal. She does it without hesitation.
The second thing you walk away with is something she said during Sarah’s Alaska. She said it over and over and over again and this is the cornerstone of her approach. She even lectured her daughter with it when she was teaching her how to shoot skeet with Todd in one of the episodes.  She kept saying:” Don’t retreat! Reload!” Throughout everything Sarah is doing that is her approach. If she gets clobbered by something that happens, she simply reloads and starts firing again until she hits her target. That three month hiatus she recently took on her bus tour was a reloading session. They thought she had retreated. The news stories were saying that her bus tour was a failure, but she did not retreat. She just reloaded all her guns and swooped down on Iowa blasting away.
Add to all this that she is tremendously talented and you see a very disciplined approach. She reminds me of when the colonialists fought against the British. They fought gorilla style whereas the British fought in formation. The British complained the colonialists were heathens with no war etiquette as if there is such a thing. The colonialists won in the end because they were fighting a guerilla style war something the British did not know how to deal with. Sarah fights guerilla style in an unconventional manner with the establishment politicians and with the establishment press. She comes unannounced. She keeps the media always off balance and ineffective.
She leaves her tour bus in plain sight for all to see as a decoy when she is miles away meeting and greeting people while the lazy press is sitting there watching the bus looking like fat, lazy fools.  In hunting parlance that is called a decoy. What pathetic little neophytes these press people are. They fall for it every single time hook, line and sinker.  No one knows what she will do next and the results are always the same. Record breaking crowds. Ordinary Americans get a kick out of Sarah’s ability to crush the establishment and make them look like amateurs.
At this point we have to let Sarah be Sarah and trust in her instincts and see where they lead. She is sizing up her prey. If it is too much for her to go up against like a good hunter she will do the right thing. If she smells a good clean kill too bad for her prey. She has a very strong sense of self preservation the way a hunter does. You can tell that she is carefully, carefully assessing what she is up against. This is very refreshing. With most of the candidates you get the impression that they are in the race so they can boast about the race in their resumes. She on the other hand is taking this very seriously. She does not want to win for the sake of winning. Obama won for the sake of winning with no consideration for the country and look at the results. Sarah does not want to win without a clear plan. How refreshing. She actually cares about the country!
We are having a wonderful time watching her turn Obama, the establishment, and the main stream press into hamburger meat. They simply do not know what to do.
Romney on the other hand is waging a conventional campaign predictable in every way and he is getting skinned alive by the establishment opposition and by the press. He is a sitting duck. Not Sarah!
