The destruction of the US$ has been going on for 40 years. When you have the world’s reserve fiat currency you can’t resist printing more and more for no cost, eventually people notice.
The rouble is a joke, Russia has sizeable gold reserves but you can’t exchange roubles for gold with the Russian govt, that’s not what they mean by tied. Russia and China might come to some rouble/yuan exchange mechanism but neither will ever be used by Australia or Canada or Brazil to sell resources to anyone. The US$ will eventually be replaced but not by Russia/China fiat.
