A 15-year-old Oxford High School sophomore shot 11 people Tuesday afternoon, leaving three students dead and 6 people injured. A press conference to provide early information was delayed by local authorities who were waiting for the FBI.
According to local media “the suspect, a 15-year-old sophomore student, was taken into custody within five minutes of the shooting, the undersheriff said.” One of the victims injured was a teacher at the school. Press Conference Below:
The identity or personal attributes of the suspect have not been released.
The perp is either Muslim, BLACK, or both. After all, why would the FBI get involved in what is a LOCAL crime event??
Which begs the question; why would local LE allow / invite the involvement of the FBI in a local crime for which the FBI has no jurisdiction?

I doubt they’re being given a choice. Besides, the idea is to either stuff it into the memory hole if the mass shooting perp is POC, or spin it into a White Supremacist Domestic Terror attack if it isn’t. The stories need to be coordinated from the top.
Not sure what is meant by not being “given a choice”: There is ALWAYS a choice, it just comes down to choosing what is easy or what is right. At this point in our history, local LE units need to start thinking long and hard about their willingness to be pushed around by the feds.

I have two girls in HS at Oxford and were in that end of the school at the time. Shooter is white, lives in town not far from me. I dont know his parents or upbringing though. Feds are probably involved because his dad purchased pistol on black friday and there are pictures circulating of the kid target shooting with the pistol from over the weekend.
Alright, so the shooter is white. But illegal possession of a pistol (or rifle), or illegal use of a pistol or rifle is still a LOCAL criminal matter unless that weapon crosses a state line.
Again, from what little information has come from this incident, it appears that–at least from what little we know–that no federal crimes were committed. Now, if someone can cite such a crime, then that would explain the presence of the FBI.
But in the absence of such an explanation, my original question /comment stands: Why is the FBI present (and why did local LE invite or allow them in) for what is apparently a local criminal matter?
I wonder where his parents work or if they have a connection to the feds? They seem to be on scene quick.

Hamtramck, Michigan, population 28,000, is just 36 miles down the road from Oxford and on November 16, 2021, Hamtramck, Michigan became the first and only Muslim-run city in the United States. There are 30 languages spoken in the 2 square mile multi-cultural town.
46 miles down the road from Oxford is Dearborn, Michigan. Population 90,000- 40,000 of those practice Islam. 80% are Shia Muslims, mainly from Lebanon and Iraq.
That information would suggest a possible reason for the FBI’s immediate involvement
46 miles is a long way. I doubt Dearborn is the problem here. You have no clue to understand that Oxford is pretty rural compared to bother Hamtramck and Dearborn. Actually Flint is closer, 36 miles.
