I was in a line at my local gas station today …. and while I was there, the clerk was putting up signs that they were out of mid-level & premium gas … all that was left was some regular & I was lucky to fill my tank. My mom drove past several other popular gas stations …. the lines were backed out on to some major thoroughfares. The Left (WH, DemonRats, LapDog Media) all LIE … if their lips are moving, that’s what they’re doing 24/7, 365.
I remember when Carter had us rationing gas. I was running two gas stations at the time.

Very few of the 100 or so pumps had cars at them. Filled up with diesel yesterday at my local WalMart for $2.49 per gallon with my $0.20 cent per gallon discount. I don’t believe the “Dark Side” hacking BS. Ransomware doesn’t work that way. I haven’t heard anything about a ransom being requested or paid, so how are they bringing everything back on-line? This administration has an agenda to get us to the new green deal and I believe we are seeing the criminals in action. Not to mention the infrastructure bill to pay off his buddies. After waiting in line for 35 minutes “fondly” recalling the Carter Administration, I made it to the pump to find that they only had Supreme at $3.69 a gallon. I bought it needless to say. Same here outside of Richmond Va. Went to 4 gas stations, first with lines next 2 with yellow tape no gas, last one only supreme was left at 4.00 a gallon. Two gas stations had hiked up their price of regular $.10 in about a minute before i circled the block it was $2.75, on the way back around it was $2.85.

Here in a port city in NC, where we have lots of tourists already, I went to get gas around 8:45 this morning. The gas station with like 6 or 7 pumps was full and three cars deep at each pump. I was able to get gas, but I had to get premium as the regular was gone. My husband tried to fill his car up about 30 minutes later, and he couldn’t get into the place. We have to meet some relatives about an hour away on Thursday and attend an outdoor funeral event three hours away on Saturday. My car can make the 6-hour round trip. Not sure we can do the Thursday thing unless hubby can fill his car up. We shall see. I hate to think what Memorial Day will be like– daughter and family are expected. Wow! Haven’t heard that about the fighting, but it doesn’t surprise me. We get folks from all over in the beach communities. Can you imagine renting a car and needing to refill it before you take it back to fly back? Or, coming from NJ, Texas, California etc (license plates from all over the USA), having a lovely time and then it’s time to go home and you can’t get your tank filled. Can’t find a place to stay. Can’t go anywhere or make it far enough on what’s left in the tank to do anything normal? I truly am not surprised. I never thought that I would live through Jimmy Carter days again, but here we are.
There are a lot of people nowadays who don’t keep their gas tank full enough to go a week, and they have to have a vehicle to get to work etc.
They see the supply disruption developing from the pipeline takedown, OF COURSE they will try to stay ahead of that by putting more gas in the tank immediately.
The talking heads in media say “If only people would not start panic-buying, supplies will hold”. Is it “panic” to take reasonable steps to continue doing what is necessary in life?
The talking heads are “teleworking”, they can just leave their vehicles parked for a while. But many don’t have that option.
There are things that require fuel and cannot be deferred for a week or two. I filled up 3 gas cans to take on a road trip that I cannot put off until next week, to ensure I have fuel to return. Is that “panic-buying”, or just resourceful planning?
