During a press question and answer period the dividing line inside the republican party became publicly clear again today. When responding to a question about whether President Trump should speak to the CPAC audience Kevin McCarthy said “yes he should.” However, Liz Cheney -who is the #3 leadership position- said: “I don’t believe he should be playing a role in the party going forward.” WATCH
Thus the ridiculous position of the Republican party is on display. Keep in mind the party caucus recently agreed to keep Liz Cheney in her leadership role after she voted to impeach President Trump. Her remarks today were intentionally antagonistic and intentionally public. She is sneering in the face of 80,000,000 voters and laughing while she does it. Ms. Cheney could have chosen to say nothing… but she made a choice.
The DeceptiCon wing of the party feels emboldened by the lack of the MAGA contingent to push back forcefully against them. There are times when it becomes necessary to separate from bad people and unfortunately the Republican party does not seem capable of getting rid of the conniving corrupt internal elements. It will be up to the voters of Wyoming to remove Cheney from politics. Let us hope a strong primary candidate will do the job.

Sorry but I gotta say it. We need zero parties
While that concept may sound good to some, it would cause many problems. The biggest would probably be that by having no parties it would be impossible for people of like minds to get together to work to get good candidates in office. Every issue would be cause for people to work to try to get a majority of people to support it and then push Washington to do what they want, and with hundreds of issues coming before the House and Senate each year, little would get accomplished. Things would be way too disjointed. In the end, it would allow the Washington politicians to just do what they wanted with no organized accountability. Yes, it is up to the voter to hold politicians accountable (and they haven’t for generations and that’s the reason we’re in the mess we’re in), but if the voters did their job they would also have control of the parties and thereby be able to use party power to hold politicians to the party platform and campaign promises.
Liz Chaney looks and acts like a very uncomfortable woman, not at all happy within. She wears all black, like ISIS. Maybe she is the terrorist.

McCarthy is the type to want to 1) Please his donors and 2) Mutter just enough platitudes to stay in the good graces of MAGA voters so he can keep his position so he can 3) Act as a puppet for his and the Republican Party corporate donors and the usual suspect Republican money dispensers (CoC and the rest of the PACs and think tanks we all know and hate). Cheney on the other hand seems to be willing to sacrifice her Senate seat entirely to please her donors – what lucrative future action does she have lined up? I shudder to think. Wyoming’s senators are John Barrasso and Cynthia Lummis. Cheney is in the House of Representatives.
Liz is the only Representative Wyoming has in the House because of it’s low population. WY does have two Senators, but Liz is not one.
in my opinion Kevin wants one thing: to be Speaker of the House. But he is a wimp. He looks like a wimp, he acts like a wimp and he talks like a wimp. He is not honest. He can be and has been bought, probably by Cheney money. And I don’t think he likes Trump very much but he’ll do what he has to do to be the Speaker. His dream job. But he’ll never have that job because he has no power.

CommonSense, such a law won’t pass with republicans in charge either, just as a term limits bill won’t pass. Why would these officials give the little people any weapon to hold them accountable?
A recall provision in the house is largely ineffective anyway since they have an election every 2 years. For the 6 year senate term, it would be very useful.
If Kevin McCarthy is this insufferable now, imagine how he will be if Speaker of the house. At least Paul Ryan had the nous to wait after becoming speaker to fully expose himself for what he he really was.
Paul Ryan made it clear from the start, he did not want the position, but Kevin had gotten himself ivolved with a lady not his wife, and the party thought that would become a big scandal if he had the position. So they kept harrassing Paul Ryan and finally he said he would take the position under two conditions; he would not be expected to be in Washington on weekends and he would not be expected to fund-raise for the party. SOLD AMERICAN! What I’ve always wondered is that, considering the number of men in the party, why were only Kevin and Paul under consideration for the position? And why is the vote “secret”, and likewise for Nancy Pelosi’s position?

R. Selvington, yes you begin the takeover at the lowest level. To run for office you need to have some support from people who are going to go to the polls to vote for you. The party apparatus is organized to provide that support. The precinct support is the foot in the door to get recognition at the district and county level.
Have you tried it? Where? When? Cochise County, AZ Republicans went from less than 30% of their PC slots being filled in 2018 to 100% filled in 2020. They focused on recruiting MAGA America Firsters into the vacant PC ranks via the appointment process (county chair can appoint volunteers to vacancies) and then taught them the little they needed to know, and do, to get onto the primary ballot to get elected via the 2020 primary election. Now they have a huge conservative majority “in” the county party organization working together to GOTV for the best conservative candidates in the 2022 primary elections. Thank you.

The problem, as Sundance has outlined, is that the Repubs will fund 3 or 4 anti-Cheny types that will dilute each other, leaving Cheney on top of the pile.
Each county party must pass a resolution with a press release stating that they as a group and as individuals will not support Cheney even if she wins the primary. That is probably against state party rules, but let the state party hacks try to stop all the county organizations. I’d love to see that fight.

This is why you as an individual must go to your county party meetings to get control and push this narrative. President Trump and other high profile MAGA leaders cannot go to every county in every state and do it for you. Get friends to go with you, most don’t realize this is where it begins. I am not a resident of Wyoming however I will be donating to Cheneys primary opponent. Imagine the war chest of her opponent if only 20,000,000 of Trumps supporters donate $5.00 to her challenger. Question—Can we legally establish Separate voting stations, with our own Voter ID rules and not use any voting machines for counting or tabulating votes and no mail in voting. Jane Marie, the party systems are private organizations, not established or run by the government. The state legislatures make your state election laws and the elections are run by the sec of state supported by the county’s circuit clerks.
The parties choose the candidates you are allowed to vote for. The states have laws on what a candidate must do to get on the ballot outside of the party choices.

Dominion software is everywhere. It doesn’t matter if Cheney got zero votes in that state, she could still carry Wyoming if that’s what the “CLUB” wants. It is no more up to the voters in Wyoming than it was up to the voters nationally in this past election.
Your right to have your vote counted in America has been taken away. The sooner people fully grasp the gravity of that and respond accordingly, the more likely something can be salvaged of our Republic.
