Secession could be a peaceful alternative. It would take a lot of planning but could be done without bloodshed so long as no one loses control of their emotions like what happened at Fort Sumpter. States would need to reach out for allies in the event there is a resistance. The Constitution is not a suicide pact and there is no wording that denies the ability of states or counties within states for form their own country. The Constitution in no way supports an oligarchy which is what the former USA has become. And deport liberals from the states that secede.
