The Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015 enhanced the U.S. Marshals’ authority to assist federal, state, and local law enforcement with the recovery of missing, endangered, trafficked or abducted children, regardless of whether a fugitive or sex offender was involved. The U.S. Marshals Service established a Missing Child Unit to oversee and manage the implementation of its enhanced authority under the act.
Recently USMS operation “Autumn Hope” rescued 45 missing children (Ohio). Operation “Not Forgotten” rescued 39 children (Georgia). Operation “Safety Net” recovered another 35 (Ohio).
The total number of rescued and recovered children by USMS this year exceeds 440; and today Operation “Find Our Children” rescues 27 more children in Virginia:

Finding people has been a primary job of the Marshals for many years, mostly for escaped or running criminals. It is wonderful seeing them focus on these missing and exploited children. They are working with other agencies but they seem to be the lead agency.

Seneca: I can understand how it is that chidren go missing, but, I do not understand the reason we are now hearing about these rescue operations by the US Marshalls. Perhaps, these rescue operations have always been happening, but have never been disclosed as part of a concerted publicity effort by the US Marshall Service, or whatever federal authority is ultimately responsible.

There are unfortunately some children who are trafficked by their own family members but more often than not they are run-a ways, usually lured by predators through various online sites. They THINK they are meeting a “new friend”, someone their own age, or someone who “understands them better than mean ol’ Mom and Dad” But once they sneak out for the meet-up they are usually drugged and immediately moved to a different state, where they are then forced into horrific acts of prostitution, often in local homeless encampments. The police usually have an idea what is going on but since all the SJWs are out to “protect the privacy and dignity of the unsheltered” it’s almost impossible for the police to get enough actionable intelligence to get a judge to grant a warrant and by the time they do, the kids have been moved to another location. Just another horrible consequence to our country’s current obsession with protecting criminals while endangering innocent victims!

I don’t think so…it’s pretty common knowledge as far as I know among law enforcement agencies and charities that work in foreign countries which is where many of these kids come from. I am personally involved in both communities, which is where I have gotten my info. There are good organizations that are doing what they can to rescue kids being trafficked but they are usually privately run, as the ones with ties to government funding are often not actually trying to fix the problems because then their income source would dry up!

No, kids that have run-away or kids who were lured or kids who were brought into the country illegally are taken into homeless encampments where they are sold to various customers for short periods of time before being moved to another location. Since the police are often prohibited from entering the camps, and especially a specific tent within an encampment, without a warrant know that it is happening but the kids are moved to quickly for them to rescue anyone most of the time. And if someone IS eventually rescued, there is no way to track back where they were abused in order to collect evidence.

In reading the various press releases as these stories are made public it seems to be a combination of all of these reasons for why these children are missing.

And, at least a PART of the lack of details, frustrating as it is, is because there are EXTRA protections, both on what LE can disclose, and on what the media can report, when juvenilez are involved.
Actually, this is one of many unreported and underreported stories, and its been going on for many years.
A lot ARE “runaways”, and “walkaways” i.e. leaving home before age 18, and parents let them go.
A significant percentage of the “homeless” are minors, and to survive they gravitate to prostitution, theft and drug dealing.
One would think they could release SOME kind of aggregate data, that would give some indications of the percentages in the various categories asked about.
I guess spending time and personelle on RESCUEING the kids, is more important than compiling data?

Those of us in Law Enforcement also know many are still living at home and are victimized.

That’s a blessing. But what about accountability for the parents?! Unfortunately being rescued will not end their pain. They will be scarred FOR LIFE. When I worked in a Christian bookstore I came across a book written by an ex-porn addict also a Christian. He mentioned that the images are imprinted in the brain and one needs to actively shield one’s eyes. Like avoid even looking at a couple kissing as it would trigger images. Also it is good to avoid the movies which promote violence and sex. According to the author with these active precautions in time the brain will clear itself.

I am a staunch supporter of capital punishment to the extent I think SCOTUS got it wrong. It is a proportional punishment for many things they have deemed it does not apply. My Plan. There are 94 Marshal’s Districts in the U.S.. There is a Director in Washington with 94 appointed by Congress Marshals.Each Marshal is responsible for his district and has a given number of Deputies. There are sub offices overseen by Chief Deputies.
Break FBI positions up into each of these offices. Lay all employees off and make them reapply to the districts. No one above Field Agent is eligible. This will eliminate the centralizing of power.

This is in partial response to many posting about who these kids are and where they are coming from. I saw a documentary not long ago regarding the horrific numbers of young people on the streets in Atlanta, GA. They interviewed a lot of them and they are oftentimes teenaged gays who were kicked out by their evangelical parents when they “came out” to them. They had nowhere else to go but to the streets.
It is sickening and incredibly heartbreaking what some “Christian” parents do to their children. No matter if the kids decide to be atheists, Muslim, trans, or admit that they are gay to you, and you didn’t “raise them that way” you are still the parent who is responsible for that child! Maybe you didn’t expect them to come out or to chose a different religion, but for heaven’s sake, love them! They are your flesh and blood. You don’t turn your back on that. Never, ever turn your back on your children. If they are in an identity crisis and don’t know where to turn, you should be the first place they turn. And you should be able to listen carefully, react rationally, and offer support and comfort as the “adult in the room.”

Praise God for this. I pray for these children to be saved, to be healed and made completely well, spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally and that they will receive all the love and care and support they deserve. God bless them and those who rescued them.

If she were a democrat, young women would be dying their blonde and wanting to be like her. She would be like a Kardashian.

He is who brought my attention to human trafficking years back when his charity Mercury one became involved in the issue. I remember when he traveled to Haiti and the stories he came back with and the video, absolutely disgusting and heartbreaking. HRC did NOTHING to help these children.

Whenever I read one of these articles I think of those YouTube video montages of liberal reporters like Bill Maher, Anderson Cooper, Rachel Maddow, and Brian Stelter mocking the “QAnon conspiracy theory” as being all about “nonexistent child sex trafficking rings”.
