President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump Impromptu Presser – Joint Base Andrews – Video and Transcript…

President Trump and First Lady Melania will both be campaigning today.  Our first lady is traveling to Pennsylvania to continue the Keystone state surge (lucky PA), while President Trump heads to the Midwest (Michigan, Wisconsin, Nebraska) and Western states (Nevada).  Arriving at Joint Base Andrews the president and first lady take questions from the assembled press pool prior to departure. [Video and Transcript Below]

[Transcript] – THE PRESIDENT: So, thank you very much. Melania, as you know, is going to Pennsylvania. That’s very exciting. I’d like to go with her and be with her. She’s going to make a speech in Pennsylvania, and that’s great. And she does very well. Very popular.

And I’m going — we’re starting off in Michigan, and we have a full day of rallies, and they’re very well attended. We have thousands and thousands of people at each one, and we’re doing very well.

Our poll numbers are phenomenal — our real poll numbers, not the fake numbers that — that the media gives. But the real poll numbers are very, very strong. Many states are doing very well. Florida is doing great. You probably see it, but we’re doing very well.

And we’ll be traveling with you people, I guess, today. Is that a correct statement? We’ll be traveling.

Any questions?

Q Mr. President, we’d like to ask you about Google. Would you like to see Goggle split up?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, I think what is going on with all of those companies — I think they’ve hurt themselves very badly because they’ve been so restrictive. And, you know, when they don’t want to show corruption, like you have with Biden — that’s totally corruption and everybody knows it — and they’re trying to protect, because he can make them wealthier, whereas they understand me. They understand where I’m coming from. It’s very unfair. Nobody has ever seen anything like it. It’s not freedom of the press; I mean, it’s the opposite. And, of course, the media is in the same bag.

But nobody has ever seen anything like we’re witnessing right now. It’s a very — I think it’s a very sad time, and it’ll go down as a very sad era for the media and certainly for big tech.

Q Do you expect any other countries to join for —

Q — Middle East peace? Is there interest?

THE PRESIDENT: We have — you mean to join the three countries?

Q Saudi Arabia for instance.

THE PRESIDENT: Yeah, I do. We have 5, but we really have probably 9 or 10 that are right in the mix. We’re going to have a lot. I think we’ll have all of them, eventually.

Q Before the election or after the election?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, it’ll be largely after. We’re doing a lot of work right now, and I’m involved in all of those deals. The beauty is it’s peace in the Middle East with no money and with no blood. There’s no blood all over the sand. And it’s happening.

No, we have five definites. And I think we’ll have another five, pretty much, definites too. And all of them — the big ones, the smaller ones. And the three that we got, really, I — I have great respect. UAE — Mohammed is a very highly respected warrior. He’s a warrior. And then Bahrain, likewise. And Sudan — that was a great — that was a great get, because, as you know, there’s been tremendous hostility with Israel.

So, yeah, we’re very excited about it, and we did it a much different way than they’ve been working over the last 30 years. But we’re very excited.

Q Are you disappointed by Armenia and Azerbaijan? Armenia and Azerbaijan. The ceasefire has collapsed.

THE PRESIDENT: Well, they’ve been at it for years. They don’t get together. But they’ve been at that for many, many years. Yeah, it’s disappointing to see that, but that’s what happens when you have countries — countries that have been going at it for a long time. It’ll get back together.

Q Are you worried about Nebraska? Why are you going to Nebraska? Are you concerned about —

THE PRESIDENT: Well, you have Omaha, and we’re right next to Iowa. And I’ve done well in Nebraska, and I’m doing well there right now. But you do have — you know, you have Nebraska too. You have Omaha. And that’s something that a lot of Republicans don’t get, and I’d like to get it.

Nebraska 1, you know, I’m way up. But Nebraska 2, I’d like to get it. And it’s something that a lot of Republicans don’t get. At the same time, I’m right by Iowa and the farmers. You know, we got the farmers $28 billion. So we’re very — we’re doing very well, as I understand, in Iowa and in Nebraska. But we’re looking at that Omaha region. That’s why we’re doing.

Q When was the last time you spoke to President Xi?

THE PRESIDENT: It’s been a while. It’s been a while.

Q Do you want to speak with him?

THE PRESIDENT: What they did — not particular. What they did was a very bad thing to the world. Not only to the U.S., but to the world, what China did.

Q To follow up on that: When you say you want to punish China, how do you expect to punish them?

THE PRESIDENT: I’m not going to tell you, Jeff. I’m not going to tell you.

Thank you, everybody.

Melania—who is very articulate and relatable as a public speaker—doesn’t even need to say a word to bring herself, POTUS and those around her credit. Massive credit. She is just white-hot, admirably FIERCE. Godspeed, Ms. Melania.

So true, so true, Publius. Trump knows quality and knows how to find it. Marla Maples was, say, the Jeff Sessions of that particular endeavor (marriage); he is far from perfect! But even then, its/that marriage’s legacy–Tiffany Trump–cannot be said to be anything but a true Trump. Melania, however, is my favorite of his choices, by far. I am positive I am amongst millions with that opinion. Have you ever watched the HM the QEII greet Melania at their second, official visit to London? Now, there is a tough customer and shrewd judge of character–and Melania clearly ranks in HM’s book. Anyways, Melania is solid and a FLOTUS worthy of the praise.

The contrast is striking. Our President just full of energy, passion and confidence while Joe Biden…well just watch closely at any media clip. Sleepy Joe walks like a very old and fragile man who has lost his mojo. His walk is that of a aged grandpa…..something the media cannot hide.

Yeah, I just stole the Molon Labe FLOTUS image.

    And, I’m not sorry.

It’s a great tragedy that the only “media” we have in this country at that level is just a bunch of Democrats upset that everybody isn’t a Democrat. I hope when Trump wins that these startups like RSBN get some traction. I try to stream as many rallies as I can just to drive traffic numbers to their site. Financially, they need our help too, so something to talk over with the Mrs.

In other media news, isn’t it interesting that audio tape of Hunter Biden saying that the NYT wouldn’t stop calling him about the DOJ criminal investigation in SDNY for which both he and The Big Guy were/are witnesses? I find that fascinating, and look forward to people calling the NYT to find out why the NYT has not talked about the fact that they seem to have known for quite awhile that Joe Biden is caught up in a criminal probe involving his son’s business partner…something he has lied repeatedly about.

Yeah, this gets you back to the Google/YouTube problem. Ultimately this is why they’ll be broken up and I would bet in a 2nd Term that the President champions investment in start-up competitors to take down Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc.

          “broken up”???

I see more that they will have to allow open platform which is actually even better for their BUSINESS!

probably new independent administrative commission to review redress…especially throttling shadow banning miscounting etc…

Twitter platform is super powerful…look how 45 leverages one RETWEET

I am quite confident that Trump is going to be getting more votes from registered Democrats than he did in 2016. In fact, I think quite a lot more Democrats are going to be voting for him.

I can second that prediction, many who are in the belly of the beast are registered Democrats. Especially if you need some things done in the neighborhood. Also, they supply you with a Great list of positions, especially judges to vote against. Anything that they endorse one has a score card to vote against 🤗😁🤔. Just Saying.

    • Fake Nametag says:

      Anecdotal report:

In my workplace, which is mostly conservative (military-related), not one person who voted for Trump in 2016 has changed their opinion (pretty much everyone is way more motivated to vote Trump this time). We have about 10% liberals, who are not going to vote for Trump but who are not excited at all to vote for Biden. The real measure is the independents. About 10-20% of the office is non-partisan. All of these people are voting Trump. One of them doesn’t like Trump but voted based on taxes and his 401k. He convinced his lifelong democrat wife to vote Trump and his newly eligible to vote daughter to vote Trump. The rest of the independents have been saying things like “we have to win this election”. They are basically on the Trump Train and also bringing their spouses with them.

I can’t imagine there are many conservatives who will cross over for Joe with the democrats’ radical lurch to the left. There are quite a few democrats and A LOT of independents who are moving into our camp.

      • marmocet says:

There are other signs the Left is in for a major rebuke in this election. Movie and television franchises that decided to go woke have all tanked. The NFL and the NBA decided to go woke too, and they’re going broke.

I also know lots of people now who have been forced to sit through “unconscious bias” and “racial sensitivity” training at work and they don’t like it one bit. People understand that this moralizing corrosive BS woke ideology is a left wing ideology and they see Democrats adopting it.

Because wokeness is a morlizing ideology that insists it occupies the moral high ground and instructs zealots to seek out and figuratively burn heretics at the stake, most people don’t stand up to it in public, but I have a feeling lots of these people are waking up to the danger these ideas pose and are about to let their feelings be known at the ballot box.

I could be wrong, but I’m usually not.

The press’ questions seem to be much more straightforward and appropriate. Wonder why that is?

  10. no-nonsence-nancy says:

Melania spoke about 5 miles from where I live. I was asked to attend but by the time I got the invite it was full. I was disappointed. A friend and I drove there to see if we could get a glimpse of her but we couldn’t do that either.
But we were at the Trump rally in Lititz yesterday and it was very exciting.

  11. Raul says:

Reporter asks why Trump is heading to Nebraska. Trump responds that he would like to win Omaha. Maybe he knows that the electoral college is in the bag and he’s hoping to additionally ensure a popular vote victory. He could potentially flip every state that entered into the national popular vote compact.

Just a tiny little question about the Middle East?
Three great accomplishments, and it’s yeah, but NOW what’re ya gonna give me?

Armenia and Azerbaijan – They want our Prez to wade into the mess spun by Turkey, with Russia and Iran snarling on the borders?

  14. GB Bari says:

Presstitute: “How are you going to punish China?”

VSGPDJT: “I’m not going to tell you Jeff…” (while thinking, “because, as even a moron should know, that would be telling Xi and the CCP. But you obviously don’t realize that, Jeff.”)
