Final Presidential Debate: President Trump -vs- Former VP Joe Biden – Belmont University, Nashville, TN – 9:00pm Livestream…

Tonight is the final debate between President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.  The venue is Belmont University in liberal enclave Nashville, Tennessee, and the start time is 9:00pm EDT.  The debate will air live on all major broadcast networks and cable news channels. Candidate Biden has been in isolation with his debate prep team since last Sunday while rehearsing responses to his newly exposed bribery scheme.

As customary for the biased Commission on Presidential Debates, the moderator is NBC News White House correspondent Kristen Welker with deep ties to the democrat party.  Welker deleted and closed all of her social media accounts to avoid scrutiny. The debate commission also announced the topics: “Fighting COVID-19,” “American Families,” “Race in America,” “Climate Change,” “National Security,” and “Leadership.”

  1. one overlooked part of the debate where PDJT scored big, subtly, but big (esp w/ the law and order issue, which has become bigger what with the rioting, etc). When asked to defend a comment he had made about BLM being bad…. PDJT, off the cuff, goes back to what triggered his BLM is bad comment – to paraphrase ‘when I first saw BLM they were out in the streets chanting Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon….. that’s horrible’…. then he repeats the chant and horrible commentary.

this truth bomb brings all viewers right back to the core of BLM’s radical hateful rhetoric. The moderator drops this like a hot potato. There’s no defense of it and it crystallized the issue.

Yes, the “my first impression of BLM was when they said….,” is easy for people to understand. No need to dance around about all lives matter or black lives matter, just cut all that discussion off in one beautifully effective line.

I wanted Biden demolished in this debate because he will be a disaster for America. President Trump had the ammunition with Bobusliski and the emails to do it. He failed. Yes, Biden told many lies and it wouldn’t matter if the media reported his lies and corruption, but there is media and Big Tech blackout on Biden’s lies and corruption and it was therefore essential that proof of his corruption be laid out before the voters in no uncertain terms. It was wasn’t.

We learned years ago as a result of the studies of Elizabeth Loftus that more people are impressed with how something is said than what is said. This is sad, but true. President Trump was much cooler yesterday and that may be enough for him to win the election. But, he had the opportunity to put Biden away and because he didn’t prepare, as I feared he wouldn’t, he failed to do so.

My opinion won’t gain much support on this site because most people aren’t objective. We are just supposed to cheerlead for President Trump. I admire him greatly. He has made great personal and financial sacrifices to lead America. He is a force of nature who loves America and most of his policy decisions have been terrific. This is why I wanted him to prepare for last night’ debate so that there would be less risk of him losing this election.

Overall, I think President Trump won, but we didn’t hear statements like. “You claim that you have never discussed your son’s foreign business dealings with him but his former partner Bob Bobuslinski is here tonight and he says you’re not telling the truth. He says, and the emails on your son’s laptop, which were printed in the New York Post say that you are getting 10% of the money generated by your son’s influence peddling. You support the Green New Deal, but it will create higher energy costs and destroy our economy. The notion that fossil fuels can be phased out over 15 years without destroying our economy is crazy.”

This is true. The President was cool as a cucumber and got his points in, without jumping across the stage to strangle the biased moderator (I couldn’t do that). He even complimented her.

The President hit home on many points we patriots might take for granted: He highlighted
their stark differences in foreign policy, energy policy, immigration, BLM and law enforcement, our economy, Dow Jones = 401K, and OPEN UP OUR BUSINESSES.

Joe was all over the place. He came out the gate blaming Trump for implementing a devastating lockdown, but then started babbling about plastic sheets in restaurants and teachers “threatened” by China flu. Biden was disorganized and it showed.

The President was clear and concise. Biden couldn’t stay on point to save his life! And POTUS even called Biden out for the China headfake when he pivoted to that folksy “dining room table” political doubletalk.

Way to avoid the topic Joe! Lol

But she couldn’t bail him out of his befuddled mental state. Joe was a soup sandwich, all night long.

When he was unable to muster enough synapses to make a relevant comment he resorted to finger pointing and unstable ranting and tried and the true dem/Lefty bromides. It bordered on elderly abuse.

Even with the corrupt debate commission and the partisan moderator stacking the deck against PT it was a bad move for slow joe to even show up.

He wasn’t up to the task. The weight of his diminished mental state and the non-stop bad news about his family’s corruption hollowed him out.

Hmmm…,in your 3rd sentence, 1st paragraph, you said: “He failed.”

If President Trump had taken your advice – offered a day late and a dollar short – the moderator would have jumped all over him, and that would have been the totality of the after-action reporting.

Did you forget? THEY HAD THE CAPABILITY TO MUTE HIS MIC – which they would have done, without impunity.

They were waiting for him to give them the opportunity to shut down the Free Speech of the President of the United States. And they would have done it, gleefully.

He did not yield to the temptation.
He claimed, and retained, the high ground.
          He’s that good.

POTUS had a well placed “visual” of the Biden corruption, on premises, as his guest. The “Debate Commission” flunkies were not expecting this move in such rapid response to brand-newly released evidence of this particular pay-to-play corruption scheme.

He beat them at their own damn game, using their own rules.

True. The Bobulinski Blockbuster only came up yesterday, on the day of the debate. The FakeNews were suppressing it by not talking about it. Only the focused people like the Treepers and others got a hold of the story. The majority does not know yet. Note that the debate had CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC viewers who were deprived of real news. Throwing Bobulinski in will make these viewers only scratch their head.

I understand this take, but not sure if I agree. If he pushed too hard, the media would have used it against him, and possibly successfully tie and taint the witnesses as well. Since there has been no reporting, just making these statements are gonna get people asking questions. Even if there is a blackout on media, there is still enough reports out there that can come through. Plus, as this continues to grow and grow due to daily releases of info, which I imagine are designed to get worse and worse, people will not ignore this. It’s hard to tell, but this may have been the best approach.

Dr. Fauci has stated publicly on 3 occasions that I followed each and every one of his recommendations. So these criticisms of me are dishonest and unfair. Am I supposed to know more than the experts? Well actually I did know more about whether there should have been a travel ban from China and Europe. I got nothing but grief for making that decision but it has saved an untold number of lives. As a result of factors beyond our control such as density of population and co-morbidities this virus has had a devastating effect on America, but we can’t surrender to it as Mr. Biden proposes.”

It wouldn’t do any good for President Trump to hire me unless he followed my advice. Chris Christie said that the President Trump who argued the first debate was not the President Trump he prepared. I am sure that President had people giving him advice to prepare for this debate. Unfortunately, he obviously didn’t follow that advice. President Trump may well have won the debate anyway, but I am sure that the Democrats were relieved when he didn’t mention Tony Bobulinski by name. The media will do its best to ignore Bobulinski’s statement but President Trump could’ve made their malfeasance much more difficult and less likely to succeed.

I agree that it’s late but the White House has access to the best forensics and it may have been the last chance for this to receive wide public attention before the election. Mybonline search just now shows that the media is basically ignoring Bobulinski’sc statement. And there is not a shadow of a doubt that despite the obfuscation of Chis Wallace and 50 corrupted former intelligence agents the New York Post is in possession of a true copy of the hard drive from Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Bobulinski just had made his statement a few hours before the debate, too late for most people to be familiarized with it (and that it’s not being reported). I think PDT was better served by just using “emails.” It strikes a negative chord because of Hillary’s. PDT was VERY similar to his second/third debates with Hillary. Focus on emails and “you’ve been in government X number of years and you didn’t do anything.” If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

@ Terry, the debate format doesn’t allow for homing in to dissect any particular topic. “We have to move on now to (blank)..” is the strategy employed by the moderator to change topics before a more thorough discussion can be had.

Her pivoting from topic to topic didn’t matter to the President, who can think on his feet.

Sleepy Joe, however, was visibly exhausted. He even looked down at his wrist watch at one point. I’m surprised his beddy-bye alarm didn’t go off at 9:30!

I have not trusted Fauci since I heard him say that he did not recommend wearing a mask initially because there was a shortage of masks. In other words he lied. In addition,
he claimed that HCQ is dangerous. Fauci is wrongly regarded as the expert on Covid-19, but opportunity to fight that battle has long since been passed. So President Trump could have played the cards which he had in his hand. Fauci was saying as late as March 7 that COVID-19 was no big deal. So President Trump deserves a great deal of credit for imposing the travel ban from China five weeks before America’s leading expert was regarding it as serious.

If the moderator had interrupted President Trump while he was referring to Bobulinski or the New York Post, it would have been even more obvious that she was biased and protecting Biden. Re-read my comments. I never said President Trump should be rude and aggressive. I said he should be factual. When people were complaining about the mics being muted for 2 minutes I said this would actually help President Trump as it would prevent him from talking over Biden as he attempted to speak.

I know a lot of otherwise intelligent people who oppose President Trump mainly because of his manner. I think that their approach to this election is insane, but it is what it is and it must be dealt with. I point out that President Trump’s manner will have absolutely no effect on their lives but Joe Biden’s insane policies of open borders and phasing out fossil fuels will. So yes, I wanted President Trump to come across as nice, but I also wanted him to use what facts we now know to plant doubt about Biden’s corruption, which goes to his character, which is very defective.

You might well be right, but why take the chance. I believe in being prudent. Contrary to WhiteBoard’s opinion I do not overestimate the intelligence of the average person. If I did, I would not be as concerned as I am that President Trump did not do a better job raising the issue of Biden’s corruption. This may in fact sound nasty but I think average intelligence is a scary thing. How could anyone overestimate the intelligence of people who elected Obama twice? In this debate he sealed the deal by appearing Presidential at all times while at the same time smashing giant holes in Biden’s credibility. The news cycle will take care of the rest. Biden is toast. President Trump did fantastic. He seemed “presidential” and nailed Biden with his corruption and 47 year record. But the best part was when Biden straight up admitted he plans to transition away from fossil fuels, and get rid of the industry altogether.

    That. Was. Awesome.

One commentator described that as Biden “punching himself in the face.” And it was President Trump who pinned Biden down on it, after Biden had just denied wanting to do any such thing.

I went to urgent care twice in late January-Feb (NY). There were signs at the receptionist asking if patient has traveled outside the country. Doctors were seeing something but obviously they didn’t think it had yet taken hold *inside* the USA.

I couldn’t breathe and thought I had pneumonia at the time. The doctor loaded me up with four prescriptions, including an inhaler. Still, nobody mentioned the China flu. No testing. It wasn’t on the radar.

With Nanzi encouraging the Chinese New Year parades and Fauxi/CDC downplaying the pandemic early on, even criticizing Trump’s China travel ban, I think they WANTED it to spread to the USA.

Although I am left with residual asthma, that doctor probably saved my life. Now, of course, there are better treatments available.

President Trump is a capable executive. He was listening to the experts from CDC, who were listening to WHO, who was listening to the Chinese communist party, which was downplaying the threat of COVID-19.

BUT President Trump was also looking at the intelligence and what China was DOING in Wuhan (full lockdown, makeshift hospitals, mass graves, crematoriums running at full capacity, embargo on internal travel) did not gibe with their happy talk. He took strong action, shutting down travel from China and later Europe which was roundly criticized and condemned as a xenophobic overreaction unsupported by science. Now the same political enemies say he didn’t act soon enough.

And, the sad truth is, the time to act was in December, not January. But the Chinese communist party lied and cost the world precious time to contain the epidemic insuring it went global. Which many people think was the purpose. Take down the rest of the world so everyone suffers the same setback as China. Evil.

President Trump was excellent last night. The exact performance we needed from him. Calm but firm. He was the very thing these pundits keep harking him on (“presidential”) while still landing crushing blows to Biden. All the polls said he won decisively (except the CNN poll but they don’t count anyway). The debate overall was much better than the last one (due to Chris Wallace’s horrible performance as moderator). Biden, on the other hand, defensive and had no answers on Trump’s biggest blows. He tried to appease both the radical left and the moderates that he claims to be and ended up falling flat. Biden also still tries to fool people with his “working-class guy from Scranton, PA” schtick while being a 47-year swamp creature from Washington DC. The moderator, Kristen Welker, was surprisingly decent. Even Trump during the middle of the debate said a nice thing about her. She was still biased with some of her questions and interrupted Trump a lot more than she did Biden but was far better as a moderator than Chris Wallace was during the 1st debate.

    Coronavirus
I’m burned out by this topic and the media’s constant fearmongering. Trump scored some good points on how the country shouldn’t have to be locked down like a basement (referencing Biden always hiding out). One of Trump’s best statements of the debate. He also countered Biden’s claim that Trump didn’t do anything sooner when the virus broke out and pointed out that Pelosi was partying in San Francisco’s Chinatown and also called out the liberal governors (Cuomo, Newsome, Whitmer, etc.) for continuing to lock down their states. All Biden did was scaremonger about the virus and suggested that he would shut down the whole country to fight the virus. He warned of a “dark winter”, which will likely happen if he and Kamala Harris are in the White House next year. Biden believes in a “one-size-fits-all” approach as he assumed every state is to be like New York and California. This was also seen in the minimum wage argument between the candidates.

    Healthcare
Biden lied that people didn’t lose their health care after Obamacare passed. My mother had Access-to-Care prior to Obamacare and was fined because she couldn’t afford Obamacare. I had other members of my family who were fined because of that law. I also noticed Biden renamed Obamacare “Bidencare” (will it renamed again to “Kamalacare” if Harris takes over as President should they somehow win the White House?)

    Foreign Policy
Thought the commission had removed this topic as it was strongpoint for Trump and not Biden. Anyway, Trump went after Biden over the his corruption, how his family got rich with their shady deals with China, and the Hunter Biden emails, even briefly referring to him as the “Big Man”. I was surprised that Welker even asked Biden a question about that. Biden had no real answers and claimed that it was Trump that was dealing with China, Russia, etc. And of course, the Russia-Russia-Russia stuff. Did Biden really compare the North Korea leader to Hitler, when Trump mentioned that getting along with world leaders was a good thing? Biden also mispronounced Rudi Giuliani’s last name. Overall, Trump was strong on this topic though I wished that Trump had mentioned his Middle East peace deals.

    Immigration
One of Trump’s best KOs “Who Build Those Cages, Joe”, debunking the “Trump keeps kids in cages” story. Biden had no real counter and played on emotion about families being separated, which happened while he and Obama were in the White House. Meantime, the Trump haters are triggered by the word “coyote”, not realizing that Trump was clearing referring to child traffickers and not the actual animal.

    Race
Trump mentioned his achievements on Criminal Justice Reform and funding Historically Black Colleges while hammering Biden on his 1994 crime bill. He also hit Biden hard on his nearly 50 years in Washington and why he and Obama couldn’t get Criminal Justice Reform done while they were in the White House for 8 years. Biden claimed that the GOP controlled congress. But they (Obama/Biden) had a super-majority in 2009/2010 (the Dems won the House & Senate in 2006). Trump countered that he got it done with working with an often-hostile Democrat-run congress. I also liked that he called out BLM’s hateful, anti-police rhetoric (“Pigs in a Blanket…”) Meanwhile, Biden bizarrely referred to Trump as “Abraham Lincoln.”

    Environment
Biden declaring that he would shut down the oil industry and his flip flop on fracking won’t sit well in states that realize on it, such as Pennsylvania and Texas. Trump also tied Biden to the Green New Deal and Harris’s support for that deal.

    Leadership
Biden lecturing Trump on decency considering the things he and his family have due regarding their sleazy deals with China, Ukraine, Russia, etc. Character counts and Biden doesn’t past the test.

If Trump’s masterful performance doesn’t convince these swing/undecided voters and those suburban soccer moms that the media loves to talk about into voting for him over Biden, I don’t know what will. All the real polls and momentum is treading in Trump’s favor. He’s on path to have a bigger victory than he did in 2016 I still worry about voter fraud, though. In a fair election, Trump & Mike Pence crush Harris/Biden in a landslide. The shy vote/monster vote/red tsunami better show up on election day. Don’t take anything for granted.

He knew Trump had that opening, but instead of bringing it home, Trump let it go by answering an unrelated question. Biden had a visible full-body sigh of relief. He knew he was safe at that point and all I could do was seethe in anger.

I know Trump was calmer, and I respect that. But being hard on Biden is not synonymous with the boisterous anger Trump had in the first debate. A man who can be calm, cold and precise with the truth, undeterred, commands just as much, if not more respect than the performance given.

Maybe I expect too much of Trump in that regard, but truthfully I feel he’s more than capable of meeting that middle ground.

Today, my anger has been abetted compared to last night. Trump still has my vote, but I can’t lie and say I’m 100% proud of how he did.

Why did Biden say ” It is going to be a dark winter” ( I think that is accurate)? Was that a veiled threat or some kind of reference to Operation Dark Winter which was a bio-threat war simulation?
