    • Because you want to understand it! Comey doesn’t want to, but he too also understands it as you know. My least favorite part of all of this is all of this.

So they have just decided to reinsert the russian interference, leaving out the part about several anti-American Americans did the recruiting for this bullshit dossier and the alleged russian interference is a jackwagon russian guy living in the DISTRICT OF CRIMINALS.

Sorry, not shouting, I just find that the last part of the second paragraph kind of important. I find lindsey’s latest display of fake anger and incredulity to be just as sickening as the last time too.

The purpose of this hearing is to:
    1. Get re-elected. Graham is in an unexpectedly tough race, so he will be tougher on Comey
    2. Protect the status quo. In the end, he will have no follow-thru on anything revealed today.

This hearing will be a nothing-burger.

    As I’ve said before – Jim Comey hides behind “I can’t recall…”
Though I think he just said an explicit No to a question. Can’t remember what it was. Should look at the transcript – that may be an explicit lying to congress charge right there.

Funny that as soon as Chi Fi Di starts in with her crap, he suddenly gets his memory back.

Comey appears to me to be answering several questions by referring to Horowitz’s report instead of straight from what should be his (comeys) own knowledge, makes me wonder if Horowitz purposefully worded it to provide “outs” for perps.

    • cboldt says:

Horowitz put TONS of gratuitous and unnecessary remarks in his report. The one I refer to is “found no documentary or testimonial evidence that bias affected …”
Horowitz job is to find a fall guy and otherwise protect corruption. When the system is corrupt, he must, at all costs, protect the system. He is skilled at this. He knows his part in “the system” very well. He defended ICIG Atkinson working out of his jurisdiction in order to advance a sham impeachment.
Comey disagreeing with Grassley’s preamble, so won’t answer. Similar to Biden, Pelosi and others refusing to answer.

Good switch up. Did you have any obligation to look into allegations Hillary was colluding with Russians?
Comey answers that he doesn’t understand the Ratcliffe letter.
Feinstein uses Manafort as justification to open counterinelligence investigation. This is change from Papadopolus and Page as justification.
Fienstain says “O’Biden.” Deep state working on the myth that FBI is a fourth branch of government, independent of POTUS.

If memory serves, the history of the FBI is rooted in organized crime that local and state officials were unable to bring to heel. And much of that organized crime was rooted in “vices” such as alcohol. While prohibition is long gone, we continue to wage other “wars” that, while noble in principle, have resulted in very serious tradeoffs for individual and property rights.

They were corrupt when J Edgar was in charge, and they are much worse now – just another unaccountable bureaucracy working for its own survival and growth rather than for its original mission. Except they have a lot of guns and an entire judicial branch standing behind them.

Long way of saying – I AGREE, they need to be abolished. we have other ways of dealing with criminal elements now, IMO. If we really need some entity to fight enemies within, terrorism, etc… reconstitute and restrict its mandate into a new agency.

This hearing should have been a home run for our President. The evidence of Comey’s criminal conduct is overwhelming. This could have been professionally scripted but no- the Repubs just let the Dems walk all over them.

They aren’t on our side. They are globalist hacks in it for personal enrichment. They play an acting role, and by golly it works to fool quite a bit of the public that the federal government is a healthy functioning set of institutions.
In the context of your remark, the “dopey GOP” do this in part to give their fake oppoents a venue to attack the common outsider enemy – Trump and the public.
Those forces are stifling the plunder that the government could otherwise accomplish.

Graham is doing a decent job. The other uniparty commie pubs are useless.

Same will happen at the SCOTUS hearings. The whole confirmation process by the commies will be a campaign rally to bash PTrump and promote Biden and their agenda. I don’t think they will attack Barret that much. They know she is going to be confirmed. So, they will use the process to their advantage. Just like this show we are currently watching.

Durbin and Comey cooperate to slam Barr as Trump’s todie.
    Graham admits he protected Mueller.
He goes on to restate that his focus is to protect the FISA system. He is astounded that Director of FBI is unaware of mistakes below. Give me a break – that is not a realistic position give 4,000 FISA applications per year. Minions can of course get away with shenanigans. So can the people at the top. Decision by committee, nobody is responsible.
He asks how can we trust the system. Idiot. We can’t. That’s why there are checks and balances, and no matter what the system is, people will skirt it.
Senator Lee – this guy is a big phoney, senator Google representing Punjab, India. The power exercised under FISA exists independent of FISA, and the make-work tracks left by FISA are rarely used for the purpose the system exists – to facilitate export of counterintelligence snoop to prosecution of a crime.
Lee working from same fallacy that top guy has the power to control the minions in charge of 4,000 warrants a year.
