President Trump Now Saying the Next Supreme Court Pick Will ‘Most Likely’ Be a Woman…

Many reasons present themselves as to why the Senate should seat President Trump’s nominee to replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg as quickly as possible.  Heading into an election season without the full complement of justices could prove to be a nightmare scenario.  Nobody wants a split decision on the Supreme Court with the election in the balance.

Fox News – “It will be a woman. A very talented, very brilliant woman.” Trump said. “I think it should be a woman. I actually like women much more than I like men.”

The commander-in-chief opened his rally in Fayetteville, N.C., by paying tribute to the late justice, saying “you may disagree with her, but she was a tremendous inspiration to a number of people, I say all Americans.”

Trump told reporters before boarding Air Force One to North Carolina that his pick would likely be announced next week.

Trump said the current situation is different than in February 2016 when a seat was vacated by late Justice Antonin Scalia. “That’s called the consequences of losing an election,” the president said.

He noted her close relationship with late Justice Antonin Scalia, which he called a “powerful reminder we can disagree on fundamental issues while treating each other with decency and respect.”

Trump also asserted his right to nominate a new justice before the election. “Article II of the Constitution says the president shall nominate justices of the Supreme Court. I don’t think it can be any more clear, can it?”

A chant broke out among the crowd multiple times throughout the night: “Fill that seat, fill that seat.”

“It says the president, we’re supposed to fill the seat. That’s what we’re going to do.”

Trump also told the crowd he would now consider his rallies protests. “This isn’t a rally. From now on it’s called a protest,” he said. “Protest against stupidity.”

Trump said that a Supreme Court seat was vacated during an election year or prior to inauguration 29 times throughout history. “Every sitting president made a nomination,” he said.

President Obama nominated Merrick Garland for the seat, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., in 2016 used his caucus’ numbers to hold the seat open until after the election.  …MORE…

They don’t care about identity politics when it comes to conservatives. Look what joe Biden and his democrap cohorts did to Judge Thomas with his Anita liar Hill interrogation in front of the world. They totally humiliated Judge Thomas. They should have been ashamed but sociopaths are incapable of shame. They didn’t care that Judge Thomas was a black man. They trotted out their sex stories and once again, the media was in bed with them. They just brought in a black traitorous woman to accuse him. Shoot, knowing the demonrats and their love of porn, they’ll probably bring a lesbian out to accuse the judge, represented by Gloria Allred.

That being said, I’m tired of his propensity to keep picking women. Conservative women are not usually looking at identity politics. Their looking for people to uphold our constitution. We have sons and husbands too, that we don’t like to see sidelined for this insatiable identity crap.

Disagree. The Left isn’t deterred by sex or race. They’ll openly and unashamedly attack, denigrate and smear the character of any white or minority woman if she doesn’t wholeheartedly support either Roe or Obergefell, and especially if she’s a strict constructionist..

-Abortion is the Left’s #1 holy sacrament. (I’m talking “pentagram holy” here…)
-Gay Marriage is their second most “holy” sacrament.
-Acknowledging Critical Race Theory and Systemic Racism is their new litmus test
-Gun control is up there, but they know better than to attack it head on. They’ll sneak up on it until they get all three branches under their control. Of course at that point the USA as founded is gone.

I find it sad that so many of us on the “right” have bought into the left’s idea that sex, race, national heredity, etc. are of the utmost importance in judicial candidates, when their qualifications, judicial records, and philosophies should be the only things of importance. We decry politics in the courts and then apply political considerations to selecting judges – what do we expect?

It’s a chess move that pretty much hands the election to Trump. Three Supreme Court Justices in one term. An amazing record. RBG was counting on the insurance policy but that failed, Trump won and now he gets to tip the balance of the Court to the Right and wrest control from John Roberts.

And the GOP Senate? Does Collins vote against a Cuban woman nominee? Murkowski? Romney from Utah? I don’t think so. This nominee may very well get unanimous GOP support. Trump wins all around! No wonder he was in an especially good mood today! MAGA!!

I cannot help but sit here tonight and think about how opportunistic this SC nominee and appointment is for President Trump.

I personally hoped for another SC appointment during this first term- it transcends regular “politics” despite how the MSM wants it to appear (melting faces on cnn ALL day!).

I am worried about the cohesion among the “republicans”, but If there is none – this is not the fault of President Trump, rather RINOs in action! NOW would be the time to VOTE AT LEAST TWO OF THEM OUT! THIS should be apparent to those running again (collins, graham, et al) for “republican” representation – double speak be DAMNED!

A woman nominee makes “political” sense given the current state of affairs, but it also puts the liberals/democrats at a pronounced disadvantage of their own making. Trust a second term for the President will “auto correct” what ails the US.

Do IT! Bring IT! Nominate and then VOTE! – let the libs/dems run a female (OR a person of color lol) through the gauntlet – welcome it. And let the attack also TAKE OUT RINO’s all in one fell swoop!!

“Lets also figure out how we can accommodate and help President Trump…”

Not really going to need too much help. The course of events kind of took care of it by default.

1 – Carona Virus….Just took a back seat to the SCOTUS issue & will become the number 2 factor in voters’ concern.( following the Economy).

2 – Biden’s “talking points” just evaporated & he will now need to “learn” a complete new set in record time…Good luck with that…LOL

3 – The Trump “Military Insult” news cycle lasted a week & lost ALL steam…Pretty much a dead issue with voters at this point.

4 – With the debate coming up fast in the rear view mirror, Slow Joe will have to go into “overdosing” of cognitive drugs to maintain 1 1/2 hours of what I’ll call non stop drilling from Trump….This is going to be classic… Biden , I predict, will have a melt down on National TV…LOL

5 – Biden’s only “out” from the debate is to somehow become a no show…HOW?… Well maybe this upcoming week, someone on his staff tests positive for Covid – 19 & the Dems claim to have yo put Joe in quarantine. perhaps…? Watch for something really sneaky to occur next week. IMHO just too many variables here for Biden to cope with. He will not be up for it. The Dems will need to sacrifice some City to divert attention & give them a bit of breathing room.

6 – The Economy is literally booming….A very positive point for Trump.

7 – When the SCOTUS selection process gets going, we all need to keep all eyes on the RINO’s…You all know who they are. IMHO, Turtle, judging by his rather quick response to RBG’s demise, probably has this in hand & will control Romney & Collins, & perhaps have a “back room” deal brokered with Manchin…JMHO

Going to be a very interesting 45 days…Stay frosty Treepers…..

Regarding number 5: I believe that you are correct – Biden “will unfortunately contract covid” right before the debate, but will “bravely” agree to a debate via video conference. The video conference will use haze filters and camera angles to allow a body double for Biden to do the debate.

They may even have the body double wear a mask during the entire debate.

“Hard breaks” will come to the rescue whenever the body double falters.

It will be a tightly controlled video charade.

Yes, I believe that it is possible, but I think that will be unlikely, unless they implement a video delay. In the real-time deepfakes that I have seen, there are sometimes obvious glitches and they would need to be able to edit those out. It would be a risky thing to do.

I believe that they used at least one and maybe two body doubles for hillary when she was running in 2015 and they will probably do something similar for biden.

From everything I have read (which is admittedly NOT much) I think the Miami born judge would be a better pick, simply because it will be VERY hard for the Senators to indulge in OBVIOUS bias against a Latina, and it will probably cement the state of Florida in November, if there was any question.

Also, my one concern with Barrett all along has been her absolute devotion to the teachings of Rome above all else…with the increasing leftward bent of each successive Pope that could present real issues in the future, IMHO!

One thing for sure, we’ve all learned you can never really count on conservative judges, with the exception of Judge Thomas, to rule conservatively.

His global warming, anti guns, open borders, anti capital punishment and pro Muslim views are just that – his views – and ignored by any Catholic with a brain.

      • mac says:

Don’t take offense where it is not intended. I don’t think the intention is to smear Catholics at all. It is a legitimate issue given the stated political preferences of the current Pope. What we need to know about ANY potential SC Justice is that they would adhere to the Constitution over any other loyalties they might have. A lot of Catholics are like you. However, you yourself know there are some that aren’t and would follow Bergoglio’s teachings/admonitions because they see him as the Vicar of Christ on Earth. The American public needs to know just how a Catholic nominee would act in a situation where the Constitution and the current Pope’s beliefs/teachings were in major disagreement. It is neither biased or unfair to insist on an answer to that question.

For what it is worth, any potential LDS SC Justice could, and should be, forced to publicly state their position on that possible conflict of conscience.

      • vikingmom says:

Patrick – I have many friends who are “staunch” Catholics as well – some are conservative Pro-lifers but also love their church…others are strident Leftists who revere their Pope far too much, IMHO. As with ANY religious tradition, there are people who claim a title but it doesn’t actually change the way they live their life.

I meant no disrespect to your faith so please don’t read something into my words I did not say. My concern with Amy Barrett is that she has been very vocal about her Catholic faith and therefore might feel pressured to recuse herself from any vote that dealt with any kind of “religious” question, such as abortion, gay marriage, immigration, etc.

Do I think that is right? No, absolutely NOT, but do I think it could happen? Yes, I absolutely do!

While I agree with the necessity, the possibility of a “Bush v Gore” scenario is ludicrous. Biden has no support! Like Hillary in 2016, no one shows at his appearances!!! I saw more ants on the sidewalk than people who attended anything of Biden’s. Why are we not making ballot-harvesting and mail-in voting (not absentee) ILLEGAL???? NO MAIL-IN BALLOTS PAST NOV3rd!!! WT…??!!!

Ozero’s 2012 “win” was so obviously with a massive amount of fraud and I personally doubt his 2008 “win” Dimms or prolific and proficient at cheating. Not that the GOPe does not engage in it at times but the Dimms are so much better practiced at it.

Funny, the DIms are threatening to pack the Supreme Court, make states out of PR and DC, nuke the filibuster, plus riot and burn in retaliation for RBG’s seat being filled before the election.

I could just be clueless but…aren’t they going to do that anyway? (or already doing it)

Yep. It is a complete game of crying “wolf” at this point. My mother in law texted me last night saying “The left is already threatening riots if anyone is nominated for her seat before the election” and I immediately responded with “So? They have been doing exactly that for months. No one cares anymore. So, what, they will burn their own cities…further? Yawn.”

Like everything else they’ve flailed their arms about for the past 4 years, the left has overplayed their hand with the riots and no one is paying attention to their cries for attention anymore.

Nominate Merrick Garland. Tough for the Dems to attack but moderates the Ginsburg seat. Probably get results similar to Kavanaugh.

To clever by a half, but interesting thought.

When I realized RBG had passed last night, and found myself saying unkind things, I decided that from now through the end of the year I should mostly stay off the Internet. I’ll (try to) watch from afar, praying that Justice will prevail in all cases. My way of managing #2020Stress.

I really don’t understand the posters here claiming that Coney Barret would place Church teaching above the Constitution. If she’s a good judge she will go with the Constitution. That should be evident already. Being Catholic myself and well versed in Catholic teaching, I really can’t see any Church teaching that conflicts with the Constitution. And the Pope CAN’T change Church teaching, no matter how ambiguous his comments may be. Neither can any bishop. The teaching comes from the Bible and Tradition. Look this up in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. These accusations in effect say that a good Catholic can’t be a good judge. Horse pucky.

The Garland seat was never meant to be filled at that point. That narrative is political theater to keep the fake Republican/Democrat paradigm going. We have a globalist uniparty or someone here said the hate American party and the sell America out party.

They never thought Hillary would lose.

Hillary was meant to win and RBG to retire. Then Hillary could appoint a historic justice in payback to Loretta Lynch.

Don’t forget it was Bill Clinton who appointed RBG. So his historic appointment would be replaced with another historic appointment by his wife, the first female POTUS.

See what a nice narrative that builds for the history books?

It’s all political theater and they think we’re all too stupid to see it for what it is.

The President will need to nominate a female judge that has already passed through the Senate confirmation process -:that will show she has been thoroughly vetted previously. I have a feeling he will either choose Lagoa from Fl or Eid ( would be the first Egyptian-American on SCOTUS) from CO – both states he needs support from.

Are the names on the President’s first list of possible Justice picks still in the running? There was a man, one of India-American heritage that seemed in the running last time, which would certainly go against the whole Trump is a Xenaphobe narrative; and the President said that his choice may well be a woman, not a definite will be.

Whoever the choice is, am sure both the nominee and the President and White House vetting staff will be ready for whatever nasty attacks the Dem’s will come up with.

Judge Lagoa’s father in law is a US District Judge who was appointed by President Clinton. Just wanted to point this out.

  45. Jeepers Treepers says:

If SCOTUS judges would just make judgements based on the Constitution, we wouldn’t have to worry so much about politics from the court. However, it is only conservatives who are strict constructionists. Liberal judges believe they can legislate from the bench.

I assume it’s to preempt some fake rape allegations and take away some talking points about sexism, but yeah, I don’t like this either. That said, the value of not letting them steal the seat is pretty damn high, so I’m willing to give a pass on this particular one, even though I’m very much against the practice of biasing seats in general.

It’s because the leftists already have 20 women lined up to claim they were sexually assaulted by (fill in the blank). And because he was already holding one back for this. RBG or Sotomayer who has serious health issues. President Trump is a master strategist. He’s not focused on gender because of his ideology, he’s beating the dems at their own game, forcing them to live up to their own rules. It’s anti Alinski 101. And the timing is in a way great, because once the leftists try and destroy a married mother of 7 from the suburbs, the dem strategy to target that group (suburban women) will collapse on itself. Even more than it did after Kenosha.

      • The Demon Slick says:

A little nuance…. if the seat remains open on election day, it will drive the dems to turn out to vote far more than Tapioca Joe ever could. But it will also motivate conservatives, although they are already enthusiastic. Advantage leftists.

Roe x Wade is the issue right now.

50 million in donations to Democrats since RBG died.

They are scaremongering women, saying men will get rid of abortion to enslave women, they will also end women’s right to vote etc.

Dems are making women’s “rights” the issue to scare people into voting for them.

    • Markelito says:

I disagree with you; you have to look at the politics of this. If President Trump chooses a man; Democrats want that so they can ride the confirmation for a possible 8 justices in case there is a dispute over the election.

      You forget John Robert!

Women would also be mad if the pick is not a woman.
