Has there ever been a candidate for the American presidency whom a foreign government was investigating for bribery, influence peddling, and general corruption?

    See:

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/joe-biden-under-probe-in-ukraine-for-alleged-link-to-top-prosecutors-2016-ouster-report

The video of Biden bragging about his corrupt scheme to help his equally corrupt son in the Ukraine scandal should have disqualified him from the candidacy. That he emerged as the choice of DEMS says much about their ablity to doublethink or simply force themselves to ignore this massive example of corruption.

When I see BIDEN signs in front of $2 million houses in the fancy suburbs around central Ohio, I feel like asking the owners if they 1. know anything about his role in the Ukraine scandal 2. and if they do, how they do not think that his role was legal or proper in any way.

Uh, Rudy risked life and limb to go to the Ukraine and get sworn affadavits from people the State Department (Marie Yovanovich) was blocking from coming to the US. He’s got several videos on his youtube channel, Common Sense, detailing everything. Also, Chanel Rion of OAN did basically the same expose as Rudy.

…and THIS is why Biden was nominated, to use the shield of being a candidate to keep the Ukraine investigation from prime time and exposing everyone else in the meantime. They would rather front this mindless wanderer than face the ramifications. The nomination buy s them time to provide cover up strategies. If and when Trump gets re-elected ANTIFA and BLM will burn the country down to keep Trump busy and the Ukraine investigation out of the news cycle.

What’s more important than Biden’s corruption to those liberals, is their T-time this morning for golf. Flynn? Wasn’t he an old time movie star? Kamala Harris? Where did I leave the keys to the Porsche? Try conversing with a liberal. Liberalism is a mental condition.

I am reminded of a supposedly Catholic colleague at my Catholic school: she rationalized her support for MAObama and the DEMS by saying that “they care for the poor.”

Yes, and the facts that the opposite was true – the DEMS kill the poor through their Abortion and Poverty Policies (and even more will die now through the idiocy of Defund the Police) – could not dissuade her.

The Nazis cared for the poor too!

I flipped past the ABC channel last night and Nightline had already prepped and was airing a fluff piece all about Harris. Daily Mail had like 7 fluff articles about her. Hillary now has too much baggage, with Bill being on the Epstein Flight manifest to president, so that leaves few possibilities:
          1. (my favorite) she goes back to being Secretary of State, the one cabinet position that actually controls the international TRILLIONS flowing out of and into the US. In return, all debts by DNC to Clintons absolved and Chelsea gets a seat in congress if she wants it.
          2. (long shot) Joe B said publicly, in an interview he would not last past the 1st year in office. Kamala is named President and Hillary VP. Then Kamala better hire some pretty darn security and a food taster. This still does not preclude item 1.
          3. (going really deep) Hillary wins a NY House seat and becomes speaker of the house, and Kamala stil needs darn good security and a food taster.

You forget 1 major bit of fact, the handlers of demented Joe B control 2,011+ delegates vs 1,991 required by DNC rules. That is the reason the last few primaries had to be conducted becuase the party committed an oops when they named Joe B presumptive and he did not have 1,991 committed delegates. 2,011+ is enough for a 1st round win or 2nd round win in a sham run-off for TV Drama ratings. They WILL allow whom ever they want to be nominated at the virtual convention. All the talk of Bernie (1,000 delegates for show) and the others (< 500 total).

All it takes is a rules change to the party by-laws and charter, which IS NOT CONTROLLED nor SUBJECT to FEC regulations to change the selections.

Why should we alter the constitution to regulate the behavior of a private organization? Let the Democrats choose whomever they want. If it pisses off their base and turns off voters, that’s their problem. Same as with the Republicans. The Founders didn’t envision or intend to institute the two-party system that’s come to dominate government. In fact I suspect they didn’t want to, considering the behavior of the Whigs and Tories in the British Parliament.

They are trying to opt for the Obama election play book. Get Americans to think they are voting for something historic if they vote for the first woman of color on a major party nomination. It worked once, so they hope it will be good to go this time.

Problem is Kamala is no likeable ‘Barry’ in personality and her past record is there for all to see. Unlike Obama’s hidden on purpose and sealed up, past. Plus, a sizeable amount of Americans saw what electing the first black Pres. got us. They won’t be suckered in again with this woman who just might be Pres. in short order if the Dems win.

The left always reverts to the same playbook, just different details.

The whole DNC playbook has me scratching my head. We all know how the DNC primaries went to keep bernie from winning the nomination, but the reason to make biden the chosen one was perplexing to me. The ‘anyone but Trump’ narrative just doesnt cut it here.

The choosing of harris makes no sense either. Sure the goal was all about gender and skin color, but choosing someone who dropped out of the primaries, didnt poll very well, and is not liked by many leftists is really bizarre. Even her final polling data in her home state of CA is just 7%.

      https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/08/11/kamala-harris-final-poll-number-in-california-7-percent/

Its almost as if they want biden to lose.

As I’ve commented before, when Biden’s image is plastered on every magazine cover, I will believe he’s the one; but this hasn’t happened yet (although I haven’t checked this last week).

I just saw a news story on Chicago’s Fox station about some research demonstrating that some masks actually increase the spread of SARS-CoV-2. https://advances.sciencemag.org/content/early/2020/08/07/sciadv.abd3083

We noticed that speaking through some masks (particularly the neck fleece) seemed to disperse the largest droplets into a multitude of smaller droplets (see Supplementary Fig. S5), which explains the apparent increase in droplet count relative to no mask in that case. Considering that smaller particles are airborne longer than large droplets (larger droplets sink faster), the use of such a mask might be counterproductive. Furthermore, the performance of the valved N95 mask is likely affected by the exhalation valve, which opens for strong outwards airflow. While the valve does not compromise the protection of the wearer, it can decrease protection of persons surrounding the wearer. In comparison, the performance of the fitted, non-valved N95 mask was far superior.

The Cloward-Piven strategy is an 8-step plan designed in 1966 by hardcore anti-America Liberal Socialists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven that called for overloading the U.S. public welfare system in order to precipitate a crisis that would lead to a replacement of the welfare system with a new national system.

The end of July the USPS received a 10 billion dollar loan from the feds – to run through March 2022. There are strings of course.

I’ve only heard pundits talk about closing POs, nothing official. There are many small POs inside small stores and very small towns (only a town because of the PO) that I suppose could be closed. Many of those are within 5 miles or so of a small rural PO. There will be wailing if that happens – but the PO cannot continue losing money like they are; 4+ billion in Q1 and 2+ billion in Q2.

Congress many years ago now ruled that they must fully fund their pension every year and that is the primary reason for the losses. Congress could change that but they don’t.

Actually, towns have to apply to the government to get a P.O. And the process is–or at least used to be–incredibly slow and cumbersome. That’s why, to this day, Norfork, Nebraska is incorrectly named Norfolk (which locals still pronounce “Norfork”). The P.O. thought the applicants just couldn’t spell, so they changed the name when they issued the charter. The town is actually named for the north fork of the Elkhorn River, on which the town was founded. Nothing like a bureaucracy, then or now. The applicants decided it wasn’t worth the hassle to correct the name and get the charter re-issued.

Trump also wants USPS to charge Amazon more for parcel shipments and not the lower rates. The USPS is running in the red and needs to reform. Trump is not ending the USPS, but wants it to be managed better. There is a new guy in charge of USPS who is a businessman and will probably make some great and needed changes.

Well now, I find this most interesting. Not to say that the USPS could not be run far more efficiently, but why is it seemingly the only branch or department of the US Government held to the standard of making enough money to support itself?

Using the same standard applied to the military it loses about $50 billion a month! How about the Judiciary, FBI, or Congress itself–do any of these Federal entities bring in the money to fund itself? How about welfare, SNAP, the State Department, HUD, the Education department, the HHS, the……….. whatever department ???

Why is the USPS the only one that should at least break even and have enough on hand to pay 10 years of retirement fund or it is “costing” the American people by losing money? Don’t they all “lose money” to supposedly provide the tax payer a service?

If they were all self sufficient there would be no reason for any taxes at all—but then you would not be able to afford any of the mandatory “fees” to get any of those inefficiently run “services” by those departments and they would still be operating in the ‘red’.

There are lots of ways to improve the USPS, but having the expectation of them to break even when no other federal agency does is just a wee bit interesting to me. The House Democrats want to spend $3 trillion dollars for the next round of “Covid funding”. Will it pay for itself? Will all the States and entities bailed out of their debt pay it back to the American taxpayers?

So CNN is suggesting Joe Biden could step aside for Kamala Harris. Yes, it sure didn’t take long.

The best team the Democrats could put up against Trump/Pence in November would be two women. Kamala Harris for president and Tulsi Gabbard for VP.

That combination produces the woman vote, the people of color vote, plus it covers all the identity politics bases and the moderate independent vote, assuming Gabbard puts on her phony face-of-a-moderate mask and is able to fool enough centrist voters with her scam.

The Democrats might as well do it before November, because Kamala Harris will be carrying the greater burden by far of the day-to-day fall campaigning and she will be all but acknowledged as the Democrat’s true choice for managing the country in 2021.

Did anyone catch this last night on Tucker?
The Somali-born Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who has left the Muslim faith and is now an atheist, explained that Sharia law is based on the concept of “commanding right and forbidding wrong,” which she told Carlson she “cannot believe” Biden is promoting in the year 2020.

“I understand Joe Biden doesn’t know what he’s doing and I think most Americans don’t,” she said. “But he does have a campaign team… Joe Biden should come out and apologize profusely to the American people, especially to those American Muslims who have adopted and embraced the foundational principles of America.”

If he did so, she added, he would show a “great trait of leadership” and she added “I WOULD VOTE FOR HIM ( Biden)”.

Ms. Ali was not at her best in this Tucker’s segment explaining her issue and by Tucker’s non-facial expressions, he was also confused by her comments but did not delve in as he usually does.

I think many Americans could live with simple teachings of “ commanding right and forbidding wrong” as it is not done enough in these times of looting stealing and destroying lives.
Sharia Law has NO place in our American culture and certainly does not “jive“ with our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
But teaching right from wrong is what is needed more.
“Forbidding Wrong” in our Western society is usually meted out by punishment from mild to severe. There is absolute nothing wrong about that.
I could have an issue however with the word “commanding” right.

Or am I one of MOST of the Americans who does not know what Biden is doing per Ms. Ali?

Ayaan Hirsi Ali, — Her focus was upon the language that has been scripted in Biden’s comments…His muslim brotherhood staffers have strategically placed certain phrases that come from the Koran and Hadiths into some of his statements…. …They instruct the core tenets of sharia law… She is not in conflict with Sharia… It was her upbringing. The KORAN AND HADITHS SAY WHAT IS RIGHT AND WRONG… and the penalties for doing wrong. Sharia law spells out the rules…. All other laws, rules, governments are moot and can be ignored… only the Koran, Hadiths and Sharia have any meaning.

In a speech to Muslims — Biden quoted Koran…. directing the enforcement of sharia law…and he didn’t even know it….
“‘If you see something wrong’ — and he quotes the Prophet Muhammad — ‘use your hand. If you can’t use your hand, use your tongue and if you can’t use your tongue, use your heart.'” What he’s basically doing from that point onwards is enforcing Sharia law and it is vigilantism on steroids.

That’s stupid. Africans were brought to Jamaica as slaves and endured some of the most vicious slavery in the New World. If her dad has slaveowner heritage, he clearly also had enslaved ancestors who toiled cutting sugar cane, etc. It’s not like her black ancestors applied from Africa for slave master jobs in Jamaica on Monster.com. Obama’s ancestors on his mom’s side (and probably his dad’s) owned slaves. That didn’t stop him – nor did the “he’s not really black” argument. It’s a total waste of time and a distraction from better issues. Does she support reparations now? Yes or no? If yes, who gets them? Who pays? Let’s hear the details from her.

She’s vulnerable on actual issues. If you want to bring her Jamaican heritage into it, find out if her dad even supports her in this race. Word is, they don’t even see eye to eye. Maybe he even supports the president.

Actually, Jamaicans owned Irish slaves too. You may want to educate yourself…black people were not the first or only people enslaved in the world and slavery is rampant throughout the world today. Just not here!

While that is clearly not a proud time in our history, it was however the practice all over the world. We did not start the concept of slavery in the US, but hundreds of thousands of Americans were injured and died fighting to end it in the US. And again, it still exists worldwide. But not here!

I suspect that, like much of Europe, India confers citizenship on someone whose mother (not father) was born in India, regardless of where the child was born. E.g., if you are born in Germany, but your mother is French, then you will be considered a French citizen by France, even if you never live there. In the past, the United States did not recognize dual citizenship, so that solved that. Now, who knows?

Ohio State Representative Nino Vitale (from the same area Congressman Jim Jordan) remains on fire: The Death Rate for Restaurants is 54% in Ohio!

“54% of Ohio’s restaurants and bars could close permanently.

COVID has a 98.7% survival rate* and climbing, if you even believe their numbers.

Almost 20% of ALL WORKING OHIOANS are employed in the restaurant and bar industry. If half close, that means 10% of working Ohioans will lose their jobs forever. This also means they will lose their ability to pay their house payment and buy food for their families.

“The Ohio Restaurant Association has conducted weekly polls over the past several months across Ohio to “gauge the impacts of COVID-19 on the industry, and the results continue to be devastating.”

“Half of Ohio’s restaurant and bar owners are concerned they will be forced to permanently close within nine months.”…

“The COVID-19 pandemic and capacity/curfew limitations continue to dishearten the majority of Ohio’s restaurants,” President and CEO of the ORA John Barker said in a statement.

“Most restaurants are operating at 50% or less of their normal capacity. Given the current guidelines, most restaurants do not anticipate breaking even in 2020. Only 17% of respondents believe they will be able to reach break-even sales in 2020.”

This is why I have been saying, government should be about the radical protection of our liberty and freedom, not our safety. …

When will the people of Ohio rise up and say, NO MORE!

    Source: The Ohio Restaurant Association

    * In Ohio the death rate is c. 0.027% I assume Mr. Vitale is using the national number.

I am sure things are similar in other states with an unnecessary “lockdown.” I read this morning where Manhattan is more than wrecked economically by Cuomo and DeBlasio.

I suspect the permanent closures of many, many restaurants will be the reality in all states with Democrat governors.

      This is tragic.

Actual (real) numbers in ALL categories surrounding this ‘pandemic’ are not available in Pennsylvania.

Ohio restaurants are in better shape (at 50% capacity) than those in Pennsylvania, where The Honorable Governor Tom Wolf is ‘allowing’ them to operate at only 25% capacity. Yep – 25%.

Restaurants in PA cannot & will not survive.

95% of Pa is very rural … corona was never going to be a problem … but Wolf shut down the entire state hard … he has destroyed the restaurant industry in the state … at least the mom and pop joints …

      • oldersoul says:

In PA, most established restaurants are offering enhanced takeout/takeaway services to muddle through the closure and reduced capacity. We have used these services frequently for places we want to survive. Many will survive.

The smallest mom and pops and new ones will not survive, however, as it requires strong internal organization to get out the word to your customer base and operate a remote order system. The corner greasy spoons are often not built for that and/or they don’t know how to do it.

The irony is that many restaurant workers are lower wage immigrants (legal) and minorities. Democrat base voters. The Democrats in these shutdown states are intentionally inflicting pain on their own base. Do not think for a minute that these workers are not unaware of this. Wolf and his unqualified health director are causing their demise.

And in yet a further twist, one restaurant in this area that had been closed well before the shutdown (from poor management) just reopened under new Korean ownership. And the parking lot is suddenly full of diners.

Korean and Vietnamese restauranteurs are fighting through this, and actually finding ways to prosper.

These 20 or so states then form a New Union and immediately adopt the original US Constitution

And if so, could millions of their citizens and businesses move into Red States and thus destroy the economy of the blue states leaving Biden and his gang holding a bag of shxx?

I have no problem with Pence. He has been a good, solid VP and always supportive, in public anyway, of the Pres. and his policies. He works hard, is a man of faith and loves his country and family.

I will be interested to see how he handles debating the ‘loud mouth’ one who interupts constantly and has a large Gucci purseful of snark to hand out. Refer to her Kavanaugh hearing remarks. It will be a big contrast in style, I imagine and Harris might have been training to tone down her snippy attitude which will still come through under pressure, imo.

Pence is knowledgeable enough, is certainly experienced enough, but will he come across as passionate and forceful enough in defending this administration’s actions and policies? Will he grab the audience so to speak and will they remember his words and how he delivered them? Some people are so fickle, so easily drawn in by the ‘loud’ and they gravitate to the meaningless sparks instead of seeing the solid, but not flashy, steady flame.

It should be interesting how Pence goes over with the people observing and listening to him versus Kamala the ranting one. We shall see soon enough.

I listened to Hewitt interviewing Sen. Ron Johnson and Rep. Mike Gallagher. My impression is that they are hoping their voters accept strongly worded letters and indignant harumphing as a response to the coup d’etat sufficient to get them re-elected. They have no intention of doing anything else and they want to be re-elected. If not re-elected, they’ll get rich. Either they get re-elected for harumphing or they get ousted and get rich. That’s fine with them. They’re sitting pretty.

What the congressional GOP don’t want to do is to stand up to the Democrats in deed as well as in word. This is because the Democrats terrify them in the way that Mrs. Iselin terrified her son Raymond and her husband Sen. Iselin. Sociopaths get a grip on people who do not have spines.

We’re being ruled by spineless worms and sociopaths. I guess I keep voting for the spineless worms because this is preferable to giving all the power to the sociopaths.

Hewitt’s point was that those of us who usually vote for the Senate worms are not going to show up for them this November, in order to punish them for not doing anything about the coup. He said that this will give the Senate to the sociopaths.

Anyone else heard this info. Daddy didn’t like her pot statements and claiming since she was a Jamaican it seemed like that made it all right. Dad was POed at the slur on Jamaican’s, and it appears voiced it publicly when she was running.

Second why do her records show no record of a Social Security number registration.

I have access to a public resource for looking up information on people in the US. Anyone can have these. It is not the next step where you can pull plates etc. Those require a PI license (active) and a chunk of change.

I use instantcheckmate. I have used many others and have found this one overall to be pretty accurate as they can be. Not a promotion just my observation. I have found things at other services not found at instantCM.

I looked up K D Harris. The profile I viewed is her.

They did not show a Social for her. Why,.. who knows. I have not seen that before and I have looked up a lot of people. There is little info for her, and I guess with her pull she can have a lot of it pulled.

Though no social is weird, they don’t give the whole thing of course for security reasons., just last four if they have it. It states clearly they have no record of a SS#, nothing shows.

You can’t be an employee without a social. How can you work for the govt without a social.

Concerning the masking of America: we have recently gone for dental check-ups and Mrs. Ausonius saw her doctor today.

Our dentist said that the profession is seeing a rise in gum disease…which started back in June, and has continued to rise. The only reason for such a nationwide rise across all demographic levels…Masks!

A similar rise in recent months in another disease – according to my wife’s doctor – is being seen by dermatologists: Acne outbreaks and infections on the face are on the rise among teenagers and others with the condition.

Again…what could be the only culprit? 😉

My wife’s doctor was much against the mask mania: “The governor and anybody else who thinks masks will make a difference are fooling themselves. The results of the research are so mixed and contradictory that nobody should have ever recommended them!”
