Subtle as a Brick Through a Window…

For those paying close attention, it appears the background geopolitical economic cold-war between President Trump and China has intensified.   As a consequence, all U.S. entities who have cemented their affluence in a partnership with Beijing are now in a position of considerable risk.

The executive order signed yesterday by President Trump supports the liberty of Hong Kong yet accepts an unfortunate reality; a full communist movement to control HK is a foregone conclusion.

[…] I therefore determine that the situation with respect to Hong Kong, including recent actions taken by the PRC to fundamentally undermine Hong Kong’s autonomy, constitutes an unusual and extraordinary threat, which has its source in substantial part outside the United States, to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States. I hereby declare a national emergency with respect to that threat.

[…] Sec. 4. All property and interests in property that are in the United States, that hereafter come within the United States, or that are or hereafter come within the possession or control of any United States person, of the following persons are blocked and may not be transferred, paid, exported, withdrawn, or otherwise dealt in:

(a) Any foreign person determined by the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury, or the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State:

(i) to be or have been involved, directly or indirectly, in the coercing, arresting, detaining, or imprisoning of individuals under the authority of, or to be or have been responsible for or involved in developing, adopting, or implementing, the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in the Hong Kong Administrative Region;

(ii) to be responsible for or complicit in, or to have engaged in, directly or indirectly, any of the following:

(A) actions or policies that undermine democratic processes or institutions in Hong Kong;

(B) actions or policies that threaten the peace, security, stability, or autonomy of Hong Kong;

(C) censorship or other activities with respect to Hong Kong that prohibit, limit, or penalize the exercise of freedom of expression or assembly by citizens of Hong Kong, or that limit access to free and independent print, online or broadcast media; or

(D) the extrajudicial rendition, arbitrary detention, or torture of any person in Hong Kong or other gross violations of internationally recognized human rights or serious human rights abuse in Hong Kong;

(iii) to be or have been a leader or official of:

(A) an entity, including any government entity, that has engaged in, or whose members have engaged in, any of the activities described in subsections (a)(i), (a)(ii)(A), (a)(ii)
(B), or (a)(ii)(C) of this section; or

(B) an entity whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order.

(iv) to have materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, or technological support for, or goods or services to or in support of, any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this section;

(v) to be owned or controlled by, or to have acted or purported to act for or on behalf of, directly or indirectly, any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this section; or

(vi) to be a member of the board of directors or a senior executive officer of any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this section.

(b) The prohibitions in subsection (a) of this section apply except to the extent provided by statutes, or in regulations, orders, directives, or licenses that may be issued pursuant to this order, and notwithstanding any contract entered into or any license or permit granted before the date of this order.  (read more)

The confiscation of wealth and property for any entity, including Americans, who support the efforts of the Chinese Communists is a very significant up-tick in the Trump administration position toward China.

Simultaneously Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted out this rather tongue-in-cheek picture of his pup’s favorite chew toy:

      Yes, the goods shipped are important and allot of money. The actual damage done via any agreements with respect to HK were the terms and conditions in export licenses and banking agreements that used HK as a cover. The value of the technology, manufacturing know how and capital sent through HK to China Inc LEGALLY was worth trillions of dollars. This is also how the major tech companies in the US were able to merge with China Inc. as business entities. Killing off any and all benefits derived from using HK can essentially nullify the damage done via the export agreements.

      The actual theft of I/P by China Inc. is so small as to be a myth. It was all done legally via State Department approved licensing. When Wilbur Ross said at the end of his interview, last week, the licenses were going to be reviewed, that single sentence was an additional RED FLAG in addition to removing HK advantages.

    The CCP is the scourge of the world. They harbor delusions of one day controlling the world, and all of their actions today are in furtherance of that goal.
    Right thinking countries of the world must band together to completely cease all trade and business with the CCP, and work toward bankrupting their economy so as to encourage the removal of the CCP from power. They have used, and continue to use all profits from world trade to build weapons and technology that are intended to destroy the western world, and increase their power and wealth.
    Failure to stop the CCP will likely result in war.

        Either in a fit of rage or pure incompetence they just unleashed a virus on the world, then told (and continue to tell) hilariously obvious lies about it. Thinking ahead 100 years? I think not.

      I don’t think it’s a delusion seeing the Left in the US and the Chamber of Commerce controlled GOP pre-Trump! Our political and business leaders sold their souls to China, the devil for a few pieces of silver or short-term wealth! They allowed China’s infiltration and exfiltration of the US over the past 20 years.

      Thankfully, the American people sensed the change in the wind and deep down suspected what was afoot and hired Donald J. Trump for the job against all the odds to put a stop to the Chinese menace! And he’s doing just that.

            Even now, city after city is adopting “contact tracing.” You can’t enter a restaurant without providing your name and phone number.
            You can’t stand in line to be tested for Covid19 and have an emergency and leave after two hours without getting counted as testing positive. Yes, that happened in Memphis and probably was a product of “contact tracing.” Someone in the waiting pool probably did test positive so everyone in the room did.
            People in America are seeing higher than ever numbers of positive Covid19, and that’s with us all breathing back down the carbon dioxide we just breathed into the mask. How crazy are Americans? v….e….r….y Crazy and the Communist are coming for our land. People need to get their heads out of a mask, breath some oxygen which God put here for us to use, and get a grip on reality. Fight Covid19 if you get it, and thank God if you don’t get it. We are showing weakness to our enemy!

          I have a sneaking suspicion that Biden is actually, quite discretely, quite a powerful almost mob-like figure.

          The background events surrounding Ukraine, illicit spying on George Papadopoulos, dealings with Burisma and China, and the US inability to do ANYTHING that made any sense in the energy sector over the past 20 years all lead me to believe that Globalists sold out entire sectors of the US economy and that people like Biden were largely facilitators of the deals.

          Trump has spent the last 3.5 years dismantling these deals and networks, leaving people like Biden (if my suspicions about him are true) in a very highly vulnerable position.

          We’ll see.

            One of Biden’s old Speech writers…. ended up being an extremely wealthy energy executive in the midwest, where he owned massive natural gas pipelines and the gas transported in them. He was also a big Clean Energy guy in his later years. I had never heard of the guy, until my friend told me about his massive house which was being marketed for sale, after the owner Dennis L. passed away in 2017??? I think it paid mighty well to be connected to Biden for the most part…. especially if you were there in the early days, where corruption could be hidden easier. Seems similar to all the rich folks connected to HRC. If normal folks only knew how many filthy rich and crooked billionaires they are connected too, not only here, but in the UK, etc, many of whom got rich from outsourcing directly to China, while slashing jobs and manufacturing in their home countries.

            I wonder if the Dennis guy, or his company was dealing with Biden and Obama when they were selling Natural gas to EU? That might be interesting to looking into. I also wonder if he was a competitor to Aubrey McClendon energy executive whom had a mysterious death in 2016?

              Posted from an old News article on Dennis Langley whom was the chairman of the Kansas Democrat Party and former Biden Speech writer. Funny thing is my relatives who live in the state of Kansas had never even heard of the guy, until his wife decided to sell their house after Dennis’ passing.

              “According to The Wall Street Journal, the estate cost as much as $30 million to build, which makes sense given its extravagant amenities and enormous size. However, the property has an appraised value of about $3.8 million, according to the Johnson County appraiser’s office.

              The 17,755-square-foot house is designed in the style of European mansions. According to the listing, the 18-acre grounds also includes a 35-foot-tall grotto and a 30-foot-tall outdoor waterfall as well as indoor access to a 30-foot deep pond, which boasts ledges, waterfalls, sunken treasures and scuba diving tunnels.

              Click through the attached gallery to see photos from inside the 17,755-square-foot mansion as well as a few outdoor features on the 18-acre Lake Quivira estate.

              The house includes commercial-grade kitchens, a butler’s pantry, a two-story office, library, conference rooms, recreation room with billiards and projection screen, wine cellar, wet bars, a heated garage and multiple living and entertaining areas. The listing also says that the property includes various imported and antique features, including doors carved with dragons, stained glass windows and a pulpit from Salem, Mass.

              In addition to the main house, the estate includes a 2,288-square-foot detached four-car garage and carriage house, which includes its own bedroom and kitchen.

              The property is currently owned by Lynette Shaw. She is the former owner of Ice Midwest.

              Shaw’s husband, Dennis Langley, died in 2017. Langley, who became the chief speechwriter for Sen. Joe Biden after graduating law school, went on to become the CEO of E3 BioFuel LLC and chairman of the Kansas Democratic Party. “

          By nature, the hair of black people is very brittle and not very stable in strength. I have worked with many black women who would overnight become a short haired person and they would say my hair broke off from chemicals or whatever. So, they do the dumbest thing and weigh their hair down with long extensions to get the look. Whatever…..I never understood why anyone would want to sleep with heavy mop strings on a nightly basis.
          I’m not really trying to be ugly, but that is what they resemble.
          As for white women’s hair, some have curly, some straight, and some thin. I used to get a permanent every three months or so and then I started to color my gray. Well, that doesn’t mix well, so you have to decide if you want color or your want gray. Otherwise, your hair begins to be harmed. Hair is only fun when you are young….that’s what I always say and after that, it becomes a chore.
          And, then there are those who are bald in spots. Yep, import hair from China. What could go wrong with Chinese produced hair?

    This becomes a very slim tightrope to walk in the run-up to a national election, people may see these moves as a lead-up to a hot war and decide to vote in the appeaser Biden.

          since 1945 the american military have been involved in many “hot” wars. unfortunately, the politics has always gotten in the way of victory. i fail to see how this puts the u.s. in a position of superiority over china. we spend countless billions/trillions to have a first rate military force. then we refuse to use this superiority to its fullest. if hostilities broke out between the u.s. and china, the chinese are in the better position. numerically, they would win the war of attrition.
          without a commitment of our nuclear power to level the field, the battle could go on for decades and the chinese leadership knows this.

            And THAT depends on NOT engaging in sustained military operations, but just sword rattling THREATS.

            OUR weakness is political/social, and thats why they are and have been exploiting it, to the max.

            So, I guess the real challenge is can we exploit their financial vulnerability and bankrupt them, before they can exploit our moral social vulnerability, also a type of bankruptcy?

            We’ll see what happens,..

            If our leaders would let us fight to win.. it would have been over
            in less than a year. BUT we had LBJ… who wanted the war to
            distract and divert our money. Contractors got rich, money
            laundering was easier, MIC makes money… new equipmnt…more
            jobs…everyone wins…. except the families who lost members
            forever.

            More than 50,000 soldiers died in Vietnam alone…
            for what LBJ ( D-Tx )?? What exactly did we gain? Genocide?

            Look at ISIS…Obama’s ROE lead to American deaths and 8 years of BS. In comes Trump- new ROE. Our soldiers were finally permitted to kill bad guys before they killed 6-7 of our guys. We no longer had to call in and get permission from a political General in DC. Poof- ISIS is now not a threat.

          The Chinese realized that Americans like to escape reality. So, they used drugs on tired and weary soldiers in Vietnam and they have perfected that weapon with precision. Look at our drug addicted population and what it has done to the genes of their offspring.

            Having experience with addictions, I know drugs is only ONE route to addiction, and there are many.

            Addiction is, IMHO NOT a disease of body or even mind; it is a disease of the soul.

            This is why neither medicine, pharmacology nor psychology/psychiatry has developed an effective treatment, despite MANY years of trying.

            The most effective treatment begins with acknowledging the existence of a higher power, and asking that higher power to intervene to remove the addiction, and later steps involve FORGIVENESS, both of self and others.

            Thats not a coincidence! Addiction is a malady of the soul, and CCP is souless, they and their minions are Satans forces, loosed on earth.

            And Satan knows how to exploit every human weakness.

            Sorry, I should have clarified. I knew what,I meant, forgot to put it in context, sorry.

            China has had ongoing conflict with Viet nam, for 20 years, it has gotten ‘hot’ several times and many watching think China has been positioning to start it up again.

            Shows just what a-holes CCP are, they don’t get along wit ANY of their neighbors, even Conmunist ones.

            They just don’t “play well with others”. They bully everyone they can, corrupt everyone they can’t.

        Not to mention our military has had what? 20+ years of constant war practice in the Middle East?

        At least on paper the CCP military is the type of military ours is specifically designed to take out efficiently. It’s not desert non conventional warfare. And, unlike some the Muslim extremists the whole of the CCP military may not be behind what they are being ordered to do.

  20. in my opinion the u.s. military is also overrated, until we allowed to do something with it.
    nearly 2 decades in afghanistan and still no decisive victory. this against an opponent with extremely limited offensive capability.
    the potential adversaries of the u.s. look at these inactions and wonder why we are still there. they are then left to speculate with regard to their own chances should they engage the u.s. militarily.

    Interview: Kyle Bass On The Economic And Ideological Battle With Communist China

    https://thefederalist.com/2020/04/20/interview-kyle-bass-on-the-economic-and-ideological-battle-with-communist-china/

    “So when we’re told that their economy is a 13 trillion dollar-based economy, it’s NOT, because less than nine-tenths of 1% of all cross-border currency transactions, settle in Chinese currency. They purport to be 15% of global GDP and yet less than nine-tenths of 1% settle in their own currency. Now, how can that be? You can’t be a real global economic power if you have a closed capital account and a contrived FX system.”

    Kyle Bass has pointed out in another interview that we could absolutely, positively D-E-S-T-R-O-Y them at any time of our choosing by unilaterally ejecting them from an international currency exchange whose acronym I don’t recall. Since no one wants their fraud-based funny money because they can’t be trusted on ANY issue, without dollars they are D-E-A-D. This is the nuclear option we should take while we still can. It would cause a major worldwide reset, but COVID-19 is going to do that anyway and it would have the effect of bringing more industry back to the US.

    Of course this won’t be done even by the Trump administration.

  30. China has NEVER been affected by Tariffs. I contacted China and offered to purchase solar panels KNOWING there was a huge tariff on them. The China company said they would ship the panels through INDIA, or other countries to avoid the tariffs. OR they said they would lower their price on paper to lower tariffs. In other words, they would put the price on import documents at 10% of their value. These people are scum and want to rule the world.

    If one reads the EO slowly and allows the repercussions to many in the USA to sink in, I do believe that President Trump has just made a preemptive strike on many Democrats in Congress, on some Democrat governors, on the mainstream media, and on SOCIAL MEDIA giants such as TWITTER and Facebook! Think, people, think. What happened to Twitter yesterday? It was hacked! Whose accounts were allegedly hacked? Were they Democrat or Republican?

    These clauses in the EO should be quite chilling to Twitter’s Jack Dorsey:

    (C) censorship or other activities with respect to Hong Kong that prohibit, limit, or penalize the exercise of freedom of expression or assembly by citizens of Hong Kong, or that limit access to free and independent print, online or broadcast media; or
    (iv) to have materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, or technological support for, or goods or services to or in support of, any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this section;

    Perhaps that hack of Twitter was really a planned inside job to get Dorsey out of trouble!

    I can’t believe so many people are that afraid of the virus. There is ample evidence that kids aren’t getting it, aren’t spreading it and are safe – yet, all the elementary and high schools are not opening.

    Red China has a huge potential problem the media commies here are ignoring. the 3 gorges dam, the worlds largest, is on the verge of a major breakdown to to recent heavy rains, and several major Chicom ciites, including Wuhan and Shanghai, lie in the path of the wall of water that would come with a breakdown. 400 MILLION Chicom citizens would likely be underwater if the dam cracks. Id say poetic justice, since the Chicoms were more than happy to use biolgical weapons on everyone else.
