This may be a pandemic, a scourge, a plague or however you’d care to describe what we as a Nation are enduring…

    A trial could also fit.

Christians, deep down, know of some, likely/often unknown at the time value in calling out to our Savior in times of need.

Even if that’s all we can do.

Like Joseph as his brothers threw him into a well, waiting for the slave traders to come and take their problem brother away.

So maybe the words of this song by my favorite Irish singers may help.

    WHEN TRIALS COME

When trials come, no longer fear,
For in the pain our God draws near
To fire a faith worth more than gold,
    And there His faithfulness is told;
And there His faithfulness is told.

    Within the night I know Your peace;
The breath of God brings strength to me,
And new each morning mercy flows
As treasures of the darkness grow,
As treasures of the darkness grow.

I turn to wisdom not my own
For every battle You have known.
    My confidence will rest in You;
Your love endures; Your ways are good.
Your love endures; Your ways are good.

When I am weary with the cost,
    I see the triumph of the cross;
So in its shadow I shall run
Till He completes the work begun,
Till He completes the work begun.

    One day all things will be made new;
I’ll see the hope You called me to,
And in Your kingdom, paved with gold,
    I’ll praise Your faithfulness of old;
I’ll praise Your faithfulness of old.

        You are welcome.

1 Peter 1: 6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

You see, per Eph. ch 6 The Armor of God, 5 of the 6 pieces of armor are defensive/protective. Only one is intended for us to pick and use against our Spiritual enemies…

So in our own small quiet way we can all do a little sword play with God’s word.

And watch the power of the Word, with the Spirit, do it does best. In our lives and the sin-broken world around us.

May God pour out Mercy on this Nation and this Treehouse Refuge.

            WhiteBoard,

            Thank you.

Having lived in NYC a good portion of my life, it was sad to see the state of the city at this point in time.

Knowing that the city recovered from the horrible Mayor Beeme’s regime, bankruptcy, the riots from the blackouts, and the Son of Sam in the 1970s…then Mayor Dinkin’s regime and the garbage strikes…then 911… and then the 2008 mess, I still remain hopeful that New City may be able to “get back on its feet”; the round is not over yet, best to keep punching.

What was interesting to me were the points made by the gentleman who was speaking about President Barrack Hussein Obama or Barry Soetoro (how ever we decide to refer to him; he doesn’t seem to mind either one) in the early stage of the posted video. Basically, I have been thinking similar to this gentleman for about a month now, even though I know Barrack / Barry is a “cutout” of an individual. Why has this President, who received a Noble Peace Prize very early in his administration, stayed so silent about PEACE?

Would it not be very easy for Barrack / Barry to visit Chicago’s “Silver Coast” (in other words the south side, below the university, where he may or may not still have a house) and ask for a halt to all the weekend, summer, violence, and a respect of the mayoral mask directives?

Perhaps he could ask for an end to the numerous block parties that have been going on since March of 2020, since real men wear masks and the weaponized COVID is living under every bed in America.

Why has he not visited Manhattan, where he has received so much fiscal support (both politically and privately)?

Isn’t this a city in which he evidently received a premier education and met many of his comrades (I mean long term friends) that he would cherish, as well as travel to distant locations with?

Why not visit during the perfectly planned / perfectly targeted riots to hold up his hands (as if slowing the rising tides) and simply say “Stop! I am here and we need hope as well as change ” sorry the teleprompter failed).

(Please note: It would seem that none of the major, billion dollar, fashion retailers remembered that they have small armies of security and the wealth to hire even larger [possibly foreign / more exotic] forces to their properties from the riots they no openly support.

Also consider that the CFR headquarters building, every other round table group’s offices, the Rockefeller offices / hospital, the Morgan library, all of Soros’s offices and the list goes on and on…remained perfectly safe at all times from the destruction of “white privilege” by domestic terrorism. That takes some real control and serious planning.)

Then there is the District of Columbia, where the Obama family

(Oh yeah, real quickly: “FREE SASHA AND MALIA!”…if they are going to pretend to be someone’s children then they should at the very least receive scale, and SAG benefits or be freed from their 24 / 7/ 365 contracts…I digress)

rents / quasi owns a home. Could he not have asked for secret service to escort him downtown so that he could sing the praises of peace in front of the White House?

Perhaps ask for a national dialogue; ask the BLM protestors, that probably would have warmed his heart since many resembled Stanley (his very own mother), to simply take a deep breath, put down the urine, as well as the feces, and simply join together in a song of peace.

Wasn’t this man a Community Organizer? If so, then I am left to ponder how one would organize a community if it is burned to the ground and many of the citizens are murdered? Maybe he knows something that I simply do not.

Thank you for getting me thinking about this matter White Board. Your post was important and I do appreciate it.

            Best,
            Simple Citizen

    • Recipe for Southern-style black-eyed peas:
1 pound blackeyed peas, soaked overnight; 2 quarts water; 1 onion, chopped; 1 stalk celery, chopped; 1 ham hock, ham bone with some meat, or bacon; dash cayenne
Drain peas and add the water. Add other ingredients and season to taste. Bring to boil, cover, and simmer about 2 hours. Serve with cooked rice (I like brown rice).

The Goya package also has a great recipe on it that’s more southwest/Mexican in flavor

In Illinois we still isolate spoiled ballots in a sealed envelope marked SPOILED & return to the county clerk. A new ballot is then issued & marked on the voters reciept.

If you request ballot by mail & screw it up here (Illinois), I would imagine you would call the clerk’s office to request a new ballot, write SPOILED across the spoiled ballot, return it with spoiled written on the return envelope before you could recieve a new one.
I am an election judge on Election Day at the polls. I don’t work in the clerk’s office, but knowing my clerk’s office, that is most likely what they would do here ( southern Illinois, we’re not Chicago).

And this is another reason the demonrats are all in on mail in ballots. If you vote in person, your paper ballot goes thru the optical scanner and that’s it. A mail in ballot goes thru the ballot counters at the court house and can be “fixed” by your local demonrat operative.

Easy fix to this is to have mail in ballots put thru a scanner too. Makes you wonder why that’s not the case already?🤔

In Franklin county Illinois, ballots requested by mail are returned to the clerks office & put through the Accuvote machine to be tabulated, the same machine used if you go vote early, in person, at the clerk’s office or at the polls. How they do it in Chicago, I don’t know.

The CDC now says that you might have COVID if you have a runny nose or nasal congestion. Now everyone with allergies or a common rhinovirus infection is going to think they have COVID.

A dry cough is one of the most common symptoms of COVID-19 (along with fever, fatigue, and shortness of breath). I don’t know how the CDC can simultaneously claim that a runny nose is also a common symptom.

I think this was a calculated political move by the CDC to get more people to think that they should get tested.

Her Memorandum ends with these words …
This memorandum confers no substantive right, immigration status or pathway to citizenship. Only the Congress, acting through its legislative authority, can confer these rights. It remains for the executive branch, however, to set forth policy for the exercise of discretion within the framework of the existing law. I have done so here.

An explanation of the difference between an Executive Order and a Memorandum.
        _https://ballotpedia.org/Presidential_memorandum_________________
A presidential memorandum is an official document issued by the president in order to manage the federal government. Presidential memoranda achieve similar goals as executive orders, but are not required to be published in the Federal Register or include a justification of presidential authority.

According to the Congressional Research Service, presidential memoranda have been used historically to “carry out routine executive decisions and determinations, or to direct agencies to perform duties consistent with the law or implement laws that are presidential priorities.” This historical usage contrasts with that of executive orders, which tend to be used in cases “that may benefit from public awareness or be subject to heightened scrutiny.”

Dr. Lawrence Sellin: Evidence Indicates the China Coronavirus “Most Likely a Product of Laboratory Manipulation”

      Published July 12, 2020

Dr. Lawrence Sellin provides a video and summary of reasons why it is important to know the origins of the China coronavirus crisis and information on the dangers of these viruses.
A friend of the Gateway Pundit, Dr. Lawrence Sellin, provides this important information on the significance of understanding the China coronavirus pandemic (note there is no volume only slides):

      Summary

After over six months of intensive investigation, no one has been able to identify the naturally-occurring source of COVID-19.
In contrast, applying the principle of Occam’s razor, the simplest explanation for the unique structure and properties of COVID-19 is that it is the product of laboratory manipulation.
The laboratory techniques for making the artificial modifications in COVID-19 are well-established and known to Chinese scientists.

He asserts that justice logically involves destruction or taking of property since black slaves were property. He is an engaging speaker who presents some very interesting and granular examples from our nation’s history. Watch the whole thing then reflect on where he was leading his largely white, probably big-hearted audience. After his soothing tones fade away, decide if you have not heard a call to action in which mass insurrection and violence would be excused.

But if you go just beyond there the property taxes are very reasonable. Chicago is a beautiful city and lots of people want to live there and they’ll pay the high property tax rate. I see you are thinking the way they want you to.
So far we haven’t made it to 2x worse at 119,000.

But don’t let facts stop you from panicking.

In June 2009, the Obama-led CDC abruptly stopped nationwide testing for H1N1. Why? Because the fatalities hit 60k and it was bad optics.
If POTUS did that, he would have been reviled as Satan incarnate.

The reason we aren’t seeing a super high number of deaths is because Trump and others implemented measures to “flatten the curve” which also spared a lot of lives.

‘Flatten the curve’ is theater designed to obliterate the economy in an election year. It’s working.

Testing facilities in Queens, NY, are seeing antibody rates of 70 percent. If NYC added these to the national tally (which they ARENT) and extrapolated this to the population of NYC, the fatality rate would be a third of what it is today and the conversation would turn once again toward MAGA. That’s a reality the media will NEVER accept and CANNOT allow to happen.

It was not theater in the beginning. It was necessary to slow down the progression of the pandemic so we didn’t overwhelm the health care system. More people would have died if the health care system had been overwhelmed. Flatten the curve worked. Trump saved many lives and spared us a crisis like Italy had.

If someone dies from COVID-19 pneumonia and if it weren’t for the COVID-19 pneumonia the person would still be alive, then it’s proper to attribute the death to COVID-19. It doesn’t matter what other conditions the person had. If COVID-19 took them out then they are a COVID-19 death.

      Misused statistics here.

Fatality rate for COVID is about 0.26% overall. The 4% probably is an attempt to refer to fraction of all disease deaths due to COVID, not fraction of those who get COVID who die (0.26%).

It is thrown around because the criteria for an epidemic is having more than 5% of all deaths due to a disease qualifies the particular disease as an epidemic. If/when COVID drops below 5% of all disease deaths, it is no longer considered an epidemic.

So if you are going to die of some infectious disease, the likelihood is 95% it will be something other than COVID-19.

Simple math … 3,336,425 positive COVID cases and 134,560 COVID deaths. That’s a fatality rate of 4.03 percent.

As the cases are ballooning, but deaths are declining, the fatality rate is falling.

To obtain the fatality rate of people who die from bee stings, you don’t add people who have never seen a bee to the denominator. Sorry, but that’s not how it’s done.

Contagious or not, to determine the fatality rate of SOMETHING you don’t combine people who have that ‘something’ with people who don’t have that ‘something’

~30-50 million Americans get the flu each year on average. The fatality rate is determined by assigning the total deaths as the numerator and putting the ~30-50 million as the denominator. Not every American in the denominator, just those who have been considered infected (by testing or other means)

Insofar as COVID is concerned, more cases are being tallied (or presumed) and this results in a larger denominator, which pushes the fatality rate DOWN.

How can you KNOW how many people were infected unless every single human being who had any chance at all of being infected is tested? Just comparing people who are symptomatic to those who recovered will give you a survival rate that is misleadingly low. Using people who NEVER had it will skew the data as well. The Diamond Princess showed us that 20% of those exposed, tested positive, and only half of that 20% even became ill. Out of that 10% of the combined crew and passenger total which was 3,600, 7 people died. The average age of everyone on board was 67. What is the death rate for 7 out of 3,600? This cruise was the first week in February. Wikipedia keeps adding people to the death toll because they’re Wikipedia and they can.

Re Goya “buy-cott”: it occurs to me that, in general, conservatives tend to be more traditional and family orientated, probably cooking most of the meals at home. Leftists, on the other hand, eat out more often than not. Therefore, leftists “boycotting” Goya is nonsense because they don’t buy their products to begin with while conservatives are now actively supporting the company. I won’t be surprised if Goya’s sales actually pick up!

Arabella Advisors, part 2 ( continued from 7/11 presidential poltics post).

Arabella, depending on country of origin can translate to
“Beautiful Lion” or “A Beautiful Altar”. Will dig deeper. These individuals
are all into symbolism, inside jokes.

Eric Kessler ( the founder) is rich. As in filthy stinking rich. By way of
money obtained after the generations long Chicago family auto parts
firm was sold off. Not sure how many were involved in the after the fact,
but the grand total was 750 million. So, he grew up in Chicago, obviously
a child of big time wealth. Also, very liberal. Who else do we know from
Chicago that came from a position of great family wealth ( daddy was a
higher up at the local power company). Why, that would be one Bill Ayers.
Wonder if they met? If you read up on Arabella advisors , their way of
doing things sounds wayy similar. Oh, and he worked for the Clintons.
Global initiative or one of their pay for play schemes.

Arabella advisors has 13 different orgs. Look them up, get a feel for them.
The weird thing is that if you look around for articles about how they operate,
you find lots of ones about how the orgs seem to shift shape, and replace
each other when people are paying attention. Some of the names linked to
Arabella advisors read like a Globalist hall of Shame. BIll and Melinda Gates?
Why yes!! Rockefeller Foundation? Uh huh. Also some interesting articles
to be found on how they tried, tried, tried to get their Wikipedia page changed
to sound a lot more flattering.

And, then we have Brian Fallon. Remember? The guy that was first in line
to tweet “Defund the Police?” What was Brian up to prior to the current time.
Why, he worked for Schumer back when. So he could learn all about being
ruthless, untruthful, and nefarious. And, then he went to work for Hillary so
he could put that type of knowledge to work.

Remember the articles, pictures Sundance had of Fallon in action back in
2016. Action Brian barking orders into his phone, directing the show when
Hillary had her “throw the side of beef into the Scooby van” moment. Action
Brian, on the press plane, showing Andrea Mitchell his cell phone. Basically
saving her the effort of trying to figure out what to say to support his narrative.

Action Brian tweeting damningly about oh, so many things Trump. Action Brian
showing up to Kavanaugh’s private party and showing home movies on the side
of a truck with Chritine Blasey Ford’s testimony. Anyone on Twitter? See if you
can find what Action Brian was tweeting about recently. Before the “Defund the
Police”, out of nowhere tweet. Is there anything else that might have some
    marching orders attached to it?

Last few days, have been encountering stores who no longer accept cash. Supposedly a shortage of coins “due to COVID” (“is there anything COVID can’t do?” .. bats eyes seductively).

Some say the extra will be donated to an unspecified “charity” (you have to assume it will be the DNC and Biden Campaign).

Coin shortage from the treasury sounds like something the President could get on and fix.

Otherwise, it seems like a step toward a “digital” economy, where every purchase is tracked and controlled … with your ability to buy things turning on and off according to political dictates. “We see you didn’t donate to Black Lives Matter” … no soup for you!” … or you can only buy at an approved store that kicks back to the politicians controlling the money flow).
