“Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword
His truth is marching on, His truth is marching
Glory, glory, Hallelujah! Glory, glory, Hallelujah!
Glory, glory, Hallelujah! His truth is marching on
I have seen Him in the watch fires of a hundred circling camps
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps
    His day is marching on
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah!
In the beauty of the lilies, Christ was born across the sea
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me
As He died to make men holy, let us live to make men free
    While God is marching on
Glory, glory, Hallelujah! Glory, glory, Hallelujah!
Glory, glory, Hallelujah! His truth is marching on!
His truth is marching on! And on and on and on and on and on..”

Not just stand…we must speak out in defense of our country, now, or we could lose it..

We must not just stand….but Stand UP for America! It will put a spotlight on us, which makes us targets – but we must stand up now for America…and NOT be silent anymore.

Our dear president is giving a tremendous speech but he sounds tired. I hope he’s able to get some rest on the way home.

Lord, keep this man safe and well. We still desperately need him, and You, to lead us.

I don’t think he sounds tired – I think he is angry at what is happening and he is stating calmly and unequivocally that he will not back down and neither should we!!

He’s made more pronunciation and grammatical slips than he normally does and there’s something slightly off with his posture and the way he’s setting his jaw.

I listen to all his speeches and it was just something I noticed. I’m sure he’s burning the candle at both ends and working his tail off for this country with everything going on. He’s a tank With resolve of steel, but it seems like he could use a good nights sleep.

I love how his attitude changes when he speaks “as president.” He cuts up and can talk crap with the best of them as “The Don,” but when he’s acting as president he has always made sure not to tarnish the title.

The man takes his position VERY seriously and I respect him tremendously for it.

I think all of this chaos and anarchy has hurt his heart – he loves America and all of its citizens. He just had to give condolences yesterday to the father of the special needs 19 year old boy killed at CHOP, also. He has had many moments lately of extreme emotion, I’m sure.

Yes, we must not be the silent majority any longer.
It is time, past time, for real Americans to stand up for our country,
    for our freedom
    for our Constitution
    for our Bill of Rights.
    We will not be intimidated.
    We will not back down.
We will get in their faces and stand firm and unwavering.
We will fight them to our last breath.
What else is there, but to fight for our freedom
against those who would take it from us?
    They’ve tried before.
Let it not be said that ours was the generation
    that let them succeed.

When Rhode Island became the thirteenth state to ratify the Constitution in 1790, Washington went up there for a visit to thank them. The oldest Jewish congregation in the country, in Newport, RI, sent him a letter welcoming him. Washington wrote to the congregation after the visit:

To the Hebrew Congregation in Newport, Rhode Island

    [Newport, R.I., 18 August 1790]

    Gentlemen.

While I receive, with much satisfaction, your Address replete with expressions of affection and esteem; I rejoice in the opportunity of assuring you, that I shall always retain a grateful remembrance of the cordial welcome I experienced in my visit to Newport, from all classes of Citizens.

The reflection on the days of difficulty and danger which are past is rendered the more sweet, from a consciousness that they are succeeded by days of uncommon prosperity and security. If we have wisdom to make the best use of the advantages with which we are now favored, we cannot fail, under the just administration of a good Government, to become a great and a happy people.

The Citizens of the United States of America have a right to applaud themselves for having given to mankind examples of an enlarged and liberal policy: a policy worthy of imitation. All possess alike liberty of conscience and immunities of citizenship It is now no more that toleration is spoken of, as if it was by the indulgence of one class of people, that another enjoyed the exercise of their inherent natural rights. For happily the Government of the United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance requires only that they who live under its protection should demean themselves as good citizens, in giving it on all occasions their effectual support.

It would be inconsistent with the frankness of my character not to avow that I am pleased with your favorable opinion of my Administration, and fervent wishes for my felicity. May the Children of the Stock of Abraham, who dwell in this land, continue to merit and enjoy the good will of the other Inhabitants; while every one shall sit in safety under his own vine and figtree, and there shall be none to make him afraid. May the father of all mercies scatter light and not darkness in our paths, and make us all in our several vocations useful here, and in his own due time and way everlastingly happy.

    Go: Washington
