Yup jx, Tom has been consistent, “a malicious seditious conspiracy” to take down the President and there has been ZERO indictments and no evidence that Durham has even interviewed the key subjects as far as he can tell. And every single agency/department has been giving Judicial Watch the stiff arm on FOIA requests, as he says, ‘it’s like they all are still working for the obamanation regime’. Because deep state. Sad.

Here in the wasteland know as Illinois, we’re now approaching Phase 4 (though I feel like we’re still at Phase 2). I’d like to be happy about an Illinois judge ruling against Fred Flintstone (aka JB Pritkster). But this was rural area judge in the state and the Illinois Supreme Court is heavily Democrat and in the pocket of 50 year politician Mike Madigan. Wherever Chicago (and a lesser degree Springfield, Champaign. and East St. Louis) goes, the rest of the state goes (willingly or otherwise). And with states like Texas, Arizona , Florida, etc. bringing back lockdowns, Fred Flintstone is licking his chops on the ideal of bringing back the stricter lockdown rules that have plagued this state earlier this year. I thought the warm weather was effective in reducing the Coronavirus?

NASCAR never appealed to me as I’m not interested in cars going around in circles in high speed but I never hated the sport. However, with their recent blunders centering around a noose hoax, they are dead to me. Speaking of dying sports. the NFL is really stepping in it with their recent actions. I have no problem with “Lift Every Voice and Sing” but it is not the US’s National Anthem! Only the Star Spangled Banner should be played (or in the case of the 3 other major sports, the Canadian National Anthem “Oh Canada” should be played if a Canadian team is involved).

There is a slippery slope regarding the Washington Redskins name. If they are forced to change, when what’s it gonna stop the woke/cancel culture crowd from going after the Kansas City Chiefs next?!
    – PETA will be more motivated to go after the Bears, Rams, Broncos, Colts, Eagles, Cardinals, Ravens, Seahawks, Falcons, Jaguars, Panthers, Bengals, Lions, and Dolphins. These sports teams demean animals and as staunch supported of Animal Rights, this must not stand!
    – Buffalo Bills? “Buffalo Bill” Cody probably hated the Native Americans like many of those evil white men did. And he hunted Bison! Buffalo must change its name!
    – Cleveland Browns? Browns may be misrepresented with Brown-skinned people and they would be forced to change!
    – Atheists may find the New Orleans Saints problematic and their name must be changed! We must keep religious symbols out of sports!
    – New York Giants?! Vertically-challenged people take offence to that! Name change now!
    – San Francisco 49ers?! Wasn’t there racism against Chinese immigrant laborers during the gold rush in 1849?! Now we can’t have that now, can we?! Name change!
    – New England Patriots?! The founding fathers were slave owners, committed genocide against the Native Americans and prevented women from voting! New England must change its name!
    – Dallas Cowboys? You mean to tell me that women can’t play on the Dallas team?! How sexist! And also how about our lovely transgenders and non-gender binary humans who feel excluded from a team called the CowBOYS! Name change now!
    – Houston Texans? America stole Texas from Mexico and the Houston team must change its name!
    – New York Jets? Private jets are contributing to global warming! (or climate change as we now call it). The New York AFC team must change its name!
    – Minnesota Vikings? Scandinavian savages who were probably racists! Also that logo is too masculine and we demand that they change it!
    – Green Bay Packers? add “Fudge” in front of their name and you’re inviting homophobia! Green Bay must change it’s name now!
    – What about the Steelers, Titans, Chargers, Buccaneers, and Raiders you say? Well, we’ll make something up that we deem offensive and force those teams to change their name!

BTW, the last Paragraph is supposed to be a satirical take on if the cancel culture/woke Marxist crowd had their way with changing sport team names. It’s not to be taken seriously!

You put a whole lot in that. I’ll be saving that quote, and crediting you, for when I need it.

You said a lot there, thanks!

Drop any of the people whining and crying about this stuff in the American wilderness circa 1750 or so and tell them they have to make a life for themselves and their families.

They’ll either WORK or they’ll die. Sure won’t be any time for whining and crying about the stuff they always whine and cry about.

Indians fought and conquered and took land from other Indians. If push came to shove, the whiners and cryers would either fight the Indians or be killed or captured.

Due to the positive response, here’s a sequel about the cancel culture sports team name changes (Remember, this is SATIRE!)

      MLB
      – Cleveland Indians – Getting rid of Chief Wahoo in 2019 was not enough! No to Native – – American-themed logos/names! Name change now!
      – Atlanta Braves – see criticism of Cleveland’s MLB team.
PETA does not approve of the Tigers, Cubs, Cardinals, Orioles, Blue Jays, Diamondbacks, Marlins, and Rays,
      – Milwaukee Brewers – promoting drunk driving and alcoholism! Name change now!
      – San Diego Padres & Anaheim Angels of Los Angeles – No religious symbols in sports!
      – San Francisco Giants – Offensive to vertically-challenged people! And their mascot is a seal! Animal Abuse!
      – Chicago White Sox & Boston Red Sox – Whites are racist! and Red is racist against Native Americans! Also “Socks” is incorrectly spelled Sox! New name please!
      – Cincinnati Reds – Red is a offensive slur against our communist icons Karl Marx, Josef Stalin, Vladimir Lenin, Che Guerra, and Fidel Castro! This team must change its name!
      – New York Yankees – Northern white men were just as racists as the southern white men! And the “Bronx Bombers” nickname is violent!
      – Kansas City Royals – How dare we worship monarchy! And they use a Lion as their mascot! Animal abuse!
      – Texas Rangers – Police Brutality! Law and Order is a code word for racism!
      – Washington Nationals – The city of Washington DC was named after a slave owner! And we hate American Nationalism!
      – Oakland Athletics – Fat-Shaming! Not every human is gifted with sports talent! Team needs a more inclusive name!
      – Phillies, Dodgers, Pirates, Twins, Astros, Mariners, Rockies, Mets – Well, we’ll make something up then!

      NHL
      – We encourage PETA to go after the Penguins, Panthers, Sharks, Ducks, Bruins, & Wild
      – Nashville Predators – using an extinct animal (Saber-tooth Tiger) as a logo! Offensive!
      – Tampa Bay Lightning, Carolina Hurricanes, Colorado Avalanche & Calgary Flames – Dangerous weather caused by men contributes to climate change!
      – Chicago Blackhawks – racists towards Native Americans!
      – Los Angeles Kings – How dare we worship royalty! And women cannot be kings! SEXISTS!
      – Ottawa Senators – The logo is a man! You mean to tell us that women cannot be senators?! SEXISTS!
      – Washington Capitals – The city of Washington DC was named after a slave owner!
      – Columbus Blue Jackets – Another example of American jingoism! The Founding Fathers were evil!
      – Vancouver Canucks – Johnny Canuck is too masculine! The whale on the logo is offensive to animals! We got rid of the Hartford Whalers for a reason! Vancouver must rebrand now!
      – Winnipeg Jets – Private jets also contribute to global warming!
      – Edmonton Oilers – Another contributor to global warming! Wind and solar power over oil and gas!
      – New York Rangers – Rangers are law enforcement officers. Police Brutality!
      – New Jersey Devils – No religious imagery in sports!
      – Buffalo Sabres – Sabers are dangerous weapons! And the image of buffaloes are offensive to animals! Offensive!
      – Maple Leafs, Canadiens, Blues, Islanders, Red Wings, Flyers, Stars, Golden Knights – Uhh…..We’ll make something up that we’re offended with!
      – Upcoming Expansion Team in Seattle – Ditto

NBA (the most woke of them all)
      – We hope PETA will go after the Bulls, Hawks, Hornets, Pelicans, Grizzlies, Bucks, and Timberwolves
      – Toronto Raptors – The Dinosaurs are extinct and it was man made even though man wasn’t on earth when the meteor struck!
      – Miami Heat – Global Warming alert!
      – Utah Jazz – Those Mormons stole jazz music from the African Americans from New Orleans. Cultural Appreciation alert!
      – Philadelphia 76ers – The founding fathers were racist white men who colonized the Native Americans and enslaved Africans! And they didn’t let women vote!
      – Washington Wizards – We hated their previous gun-related name (Bullets) but this name is still problematic because the KKK call their high ranking members “Grand Wizards!”
      – Golden State Warriors – At least they got rid of their original Native American roots!
      – Boston Celtics – evil racist White Irish men!
      – Detroit Pistons – Car parts are contributing to global warming!
      – Houston Rockets – Spaceships are also contributing to global warming!
      – Portland Trail Blazers – Lewis and Clark expedition from Oregon stole the land from the Native Americans!
      – Sacramento Kings – How dare we worship royalty! And women cannot be kings! SEXISTS!
      – Lakers, Clippers, Knicks, Pacers, Thunder, Mavericks, Spurs, Magic, Cavaliers, Nets – Uhh…..We’ll make something up that we’re offended with!

If this doesn’t wake the nation up to just what type of insanity we are dealing with here and what their intent is, they torched an Elk statue in Portland that has been there for 100 years. I guess the Elk was racist.

No arrests, no police sent in to stop it, officials let it happen and removed the offensive Elk the next day.

Found an Article on the Elks: The Benevolent Society of the Elks or BPOE was originally an all-white organization. In the early 1970s, this policy led the Order into conflict with the courts over its refusal to allow blacks the use of its club and leisure activities. In nearly all instances, the all-whites clause was made public after someone was denied the use of the Elks’ dining or leisure facilities. The clause was revoked at the Grand Lodge of 1976, with the proviso that it could be reinstated if the law allowed….

There is likely a research arm of the DNC advising on targets for the assaults. Pick a popular social organization, research it and declare it a target if anybody in the organization used the N-Word or owned a slave. Does not matter if said organization recanted and has done great deeds … no forgiveness, no exceptions, except for democrats, progressives, et al.

    From 2013:

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/9689220/redskins-name-change-not-easy-sounds

“I definitely don’t know how I’ll tell the athletes at Wellpinit (Wash.) High School — where the student body is 91.2 percent Native American — that the “Redskins” name they wear proudly across their chests is insulting them. Because they have no idea.

“I’ve talked to our students, our parents and our community about this and nobody finds any offense at all in it,” says Tim Ames, the superintendent of Wellpinit schools. “‘Redskins’ is not an insult to our kids. ‘Wagon burners’ is an insult. ‘Prairie n—–s’ is an insult. Those are very upsetting to our kids. But ‘Redskins’ is an honorable name we wear with pride. … In fact, I’d like to see somebody come up here and try to change it.” Boy, you try to help some people …

“And it’s not going to be easy telling the Kingston (Okla.) High School (57.7 percent Native American) Redskins that the name they’ve worn on their uniforms for 104 years has been a joke on them this whole time. Because they wear it with honor.

“We have two great tribes here,” says Kingston assistant school superintendent Ron Whipkey, “the Chicasaw and the Choctaw. And not one member of those tribes has ever come to me or our school with a complaint. It is a prideful thing to them.”

“It’s a name that honors the people,” says Kingston English teacher Brett Hayes, who is Choctaw. “The word ‘Oklahoma’ itself is Choctaw for ‘red people.’ The students here don’t want it changed. To them, it seems like it’s just people who have no connection with the Native American culture, people out there trying to draw attention to themselves.

A book you might find intetesting:

The Coming of Neo-Feudalism: A Warning to the Global Middle Class

Following a remarkable epoch of greater dispersion of wealth and opportunity, we are inexorably returning towards a more feudal era marked by greater concentration of wealth and property, reduced upward mobility, demographic stagnation, and increased dogmatism. If the last seventy years saw a massive expansion of the middle class, not only in America but in much of the developed world, today that class is declining and a new, more hierarchical society is emerging.

The new class structure resembles that of Medieval times. At the apex of the new order are two classes—a reborn clerical elite, the clerisy, which dominates the upper part of the professional ranks, universities, media and culture, and a new aristocracy led by tech oligarchs with unprecedented wealth and growing control of information. These two classes correspond to the old French First and Second Estates.

Below these two classes lies what was once called the Third Estate. This includes the yeomanry, which is made up largely of small businesspeople, minor property owners, skilled workers and private-sector oriented professionals. Ascendant for much of modern history, this class is in decline while those below them, the new Serfs, grow in numbers—a vast, expanding property-less population.

The trends are mounting, but we can still reverse them—if people understand what is actually occurring and have the capability to oppose them.

      This is an interesting premise.

I have often wondered if we are headed to a second “Dark Age” (can’t call it that anymore, it’s now called “Middle Ages”).

Here is my line of thinking:
      1) History repeats itself
      2) The last great western Empire or Republic was the Roman one
      3) It was after it’s decline and fall that we entered the first Middle Ages (or “Dark Ages”) marked by a reduction in the spread and use of knowledge and sciences and spread of feudal governments
      4) Benjamin Franklin noted that, historically, great societies last about 200 years
      5) The U.S. is approaching 250 years old
      6) Using only historic patterns, one might predict that we are about to enter a second “Dark Age” marked by reduction in the spread of knowledge and science and spread feudal governments

It’s hard (or was just a couple of years ago) to imagine how this might be possible with the wide distribution of information via the internet. However, instead of the library of Alexandria burning (several times) destroying information what if the reduction of the spread of knowledge was accomplished through censorship? What if instead of the lack of knowledge in sciences, there was politicalization of science such that it wasn’t true science? And what if our freedoms were curtailed through globalization such that instead of a functioning Republic, we were operating in what functions as a Feudal system?

To your point 3 – the slow in the spread of knowledge is a direct result of the rise of Islam and their control of the waters: trade was stopped because of their piracy.

As a side note, we haven’t left our home today and plan to hunker down until this madness is over. I spoke to a relative this morning who went shopping for toilet paper and masks. The shelves were already emptied. My wife and I went to Sam’s Club two days ago and they had huge supplies of toilet paper, even stacked up in the center aisle. All gone after King Abbott’s order. Here we go again. Sure will be glad when the election is over and this all goes away.

This looks like testimony for a Senate committee. https://www.hsgac.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/Testimony-Kory-2020-05-06-REVISED.pdf

I will highlight some pieces, some may recognize the name Dr. Paul Marik. “I want to start by saying that I am part of a group of physicians which include several of the most highly published and well-known critical care experts in the country and world (Drs. Paul Marik, Umberto Meduri, Joseph Varon and José Iglesias). In response to the COVID crisis we formed the Front-Line Critical Care Working group, our protocol can be found at covid19criticalcare.com”

“Finally, we want it to be known that with the support of several physician colleagues and members of the media, we have tried to share our protocol widely. In fact, we know that it reached the White House for review on at least two, and soon to be three, occasions — the first a month ago via a member of Jared Kushner’s COVID response team. We understand that it generated considerable interest until supposedly the N.I.H. and C.D.C. pushed back against it, instead seemingly favoring antiviral and vaccine therapy. Later, Dr. Paul Marik was interviewed by former Speaker Newt Gingrich on his weekly podcast, Mr. Gingrich asked me and Dr. Marik to write a document outlining the rationale behind the therapy so that he could bring it to the White House for review. Still no response. Now this week, the editor of the American Spectator, Emmett Tyrrell, after publishing an article about our group and our protocol, asked us to write a letter to President Trump. We hope it gets to him.”

Thank you for the link. I read the PDF type link and completely agree with the need for clinicians to report to colleagues the success and failures found on the “front lines”.

One exception I will make is that “hyperinflamation” kills. What the paper does not mention is the hyperinflamation results from the primary process that causes the other more progressive symptoms of the COVID illness. THAT PRIMARY PROCESS is the inability for the each RBC (Red Blood Cell) to bind with Oxygen in the exchange of gases in the individuals lungs.

As such, what appears to be “fibrotic lung damage” on imaging results is simply lung tissues grossly devoid of oxygen. Once the COVID illness processs is reversed, and the blood once again carries oxygen throughout the body’s circulatory system, the cytokine storm, blood clotting and hyper inflammation are reversed.

Early us of Hydroxychloroquine cocktail and even in the advanced stages in the ICU reverses the primary illness process. Early enough and the progression of the illness is avoided. After COVID has progressed, the reversal the primary illness process decreases the time for ventilatory support and provides a lessening chance that mortality will occur.

Such dramatic exits have become a signature of McEnany’s brief tenure as press secretary. Since taking the job in April, the former Trump-friendly CNN pundit and spokeswoman for Trump’s reelection campaign has often waited until the briefing’s conclusion – that is, the moment when she determines the briefing is concluded – to unload on the assembled reporters.

The failure to do these things sends the opposite message about a relationship – that one party has disrespect for the other.

McEnany’s scripted walk-offs point to “how adversarial the relationship between the press secretary and the press is at present,” said Mercieca. “The abrupt ending signals a lack of respect for the press, especially after she has berated their reporting.”

That hydroxychloroquine study result out of Detroit result isn’t nearly as compelling as the actual trial out of the UK. But at least what we can say from the two is that it probably doesn’t hurt to administer hydroxychloroquine and it might help. The steroid dexamethasone actually shows more promise. If I were a COVID patient with severe symptoms not responding to routine treatments, I’d choose dexamethasone, but I think some portion of the population cannot take it so HCQ might be a better choice.

I am eating my crow sandwich with cheese and mayo as I type. Others here on CTH need to have a helping as well.

The following is an Excerpt from TX Gov Abbott’s Mask EO. It is the lead paragraph detailing the requirements. Read it very carefully because businesses actually have a loophole if they can be sure their patrons keep “social distancing”.

“Every person in Texas shall wear a face covering over the nose and mouth when inside a commercial entity or other building or space open to the public, or when in an outdoor public space, wherever it is not feasible to maintain six feet of social distancing from another person not in the same household; provided, however, that this face-covering requirement does not apply to the following: [List of 11 exemptions]”

If businesses and patrons just use a little common sense and courtesy for the most part not many, if any, businesses should require a mask.

At this point the most onerous and idiotic part of the EO is the 20 “declared cases” rule. It may be there as window dressing but its is a stupid gambit to put in this EO.

It was just a retrospective study, not a trial. Nobody should be using this as proof that HCQ is effective. 267 patients were excluded from review because they hadn’t been released from the hospital, this could have skewed the result even as much as proving that HCQ wasn’t effective at all. To date, the best we have is the UK trial which showed HCQ is not effective at treating COVID. Dexamethasone appears to be a more promising treatment. I think HCQ should be made available to patients who want to try it, but they have to understand it might do nothing for them.

Super, Methlprednisone is effective in treating the “hyper inflammation” that effects bodily tissue after some period of lack of Oxygen supply.

The primary pathophysiologic process of COVID illness is the inability of Red Blood Cells (RBCs) inability to bind with oxygen in the lung during inhalatuion. The body’s cells, tissues and organs become starved for Oxygen. HCQ cocktail reverses this process. HCQ cocktail early in the COVID illness and progression will prevent the ill person’s progression to the status that systemic inflammation occurs.

Tools of the medical business are applied to respond to specific pathological processes. HCQ is simply upstream to the portico steroid.
