I suspect that all this “free” covid-19 testing is going to get you put in a database that can, and likely will, be used against you at some point.

This Big Brother type of crap was rampant in the sci-fi novels of the 1960s. They were so depressing, I stopped reading sci-fi because if it. Now it has moved from novels to reality..

I personally am NOT wearing the “mask of submission” and I am not going for the “free” test.

Yes, in my county they set up free testing at local schools, offer $10 food vouchers or free lunch to get people to come get tested. Flyers state “no symptoms” required. A federally funded health group is involved (TrueHealth), the county govt and I guess the state govt.

It’s crazy town. IF, AND I DO MEAN IF, these tests are accurate, I am thrilled. There’s nothing better than the 18-30 somethings getting this and building our immunity in the community. We have got to get back to living. I’m ready to get it and move on. I’m in Florida, by the way.

Are they testing for active cases or doing the antibody tests, do you know? Seems to be a ton of confusion around the numbers because they are being reported simultaneously which is really counterproductive because they measure two totally different things!! More positive antibody tests is a GOOD thing but the media is only reporting “increased numbers” as if it’s a BAD thing!!

I knew it! The other day, I said that after free testing, they’ll start offering additional free swag to try to entice more people to bump up those numbers!

Yes. Some employers are requiring all employees get tested, and anyone who is getting any type of surgery done (that was delayed during the quarantines) has to be tested before the surgery. These people have no symptoms, but many are testing positive.

You’re right, FL Guy. Look at all those “ancestory” personal home tests. Good way to turn over your dna to the government for future use against you.

      Like

    • Eric C. says:

You go for an elective surgery, you get tested.

An asymptomatic person tested positive before surgery. The discharge instructions were go home and self-quarantine for 14 days, come back for a test. If the test is negative, you can get the surgery once you have another negative test (it was around 3 days later I believe). Also, you you continue to not have symptoms you can come back for a test in 7 days (remember from just above: “self-quarantine for 14-days”…..how do you go get the test while you’re “quarantined”)

So a positive test takes 3+ weeks of your life away, since the need for 2 negatives, but 1 positive and you’re locked up.

Now we know why the President always alluded to he was one of the ones that wasn’t keen on testing, testing, testing as a necessary solution but solved a problem everyone was complaining about.

My problem is how do we know the first positive, wasn’t a false positive. You should also have to have 2 positives in a row to be a “positive” if you’re not symptomatic. The only reason doctors test for the flu when you go in with symptoms is to confirm their clinical diagnosis and rule out other serious issues based on a positive test.

If testing is the gold standard now, just have testing clinics, + flu quarantine for 5 days, + COVID-19 quarantine for 14 days and comeback.

Why do we need doctors if tests are the gold standard in determining a medical diagnosis???

Plus, the pharmacist knows best, so just take the positive test slip to Walgreens and they’ll give you what they think you need (now they don’t have to waste time arguing with pesky doctors who don’t know anything about writing prescriptions!!!

It seems Switzerland thinks the China virus may not even be as bad as the common flu.
Swiss Policy Research…just a sample but check out the link

According to the latest immunological and serological studies, the overall lethality of Covid-19 (IFR) is about 0.1% and thus in the range of a strong seasonal influenza (flu).

In countries like the US, the UK, and also Sweden (without a lockdown), overall mortality since the beginning of the year is in the range of a strong influenza season; in countries like Germany, Austria and Switzerland, overall mortality is in the range of a mild influenza season.

Even in global “hotspots”, the risk of death for the general population of school and working age is typically in the range of a daily car ride to work. The risk was initially overestimated because many people with only mild or no symptoms were not taken into account.

Up to 80% of all test-positive persons remain symptom-free. Even among 70-79 year olds, about 60% remain symptom-free. Over 95% of all persons develop at most moderate symptoms.

Up to 60% of all persons may already have a certain cellular background immunity to Covid-19 due to contact with previous coronaviruses (i.e. common cold viruses). The initial assumption that there was no immunity against Covid-19 was not correct.

Colorado candidate campaigns with doctor who shared coronavirus conspiracy theories
      April 7, 2020

      -snipped-

Victory helped spread conspiracy theories that coronavirus-related closures are a Democratic plot, coordinated in conjunction with the “deep state” and the press, to defeat President Donald Trump in November.
She also alleged an over-reaction to the pandemic is a Democratic plot to steal the 2020 election via mail voting and shared a tweet accusing Democrats of stealing elections that way in 2018.

Victory is a critic of Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the nation’s leading expert on infectious disease.
She shared a tweet calling for him to be criminally prosecuted and another calling him an idiot. Fauci has drawn the ire of some on the far right for supporting closures.

In an online bio, Victory says she is “a member of” Harvard’s National Preparedness Leadership Initiative, or NPLI, and “served for many years” on a leadership council at Harvard’s public health school.
A Harvard spokeswoman says Victory went through a 10-day NPLI program about a dozen years ago and only briefly was a member of the leadership council several years ago.

Pay attention to who you elect for County Judge, that’s the real power in whatever City/Town you live in according to Texas Law. Governor Abbott steps in when these Mayors & Judges overstep and that is the way it should work.

Trump: Powerful message more important than flawed messenger
    10/28/16 10:20

    -snipped-

He was easy to mock. He spoke in simple platitudes without the cadence of a trained politician. His words sounded more like a truck driver than a lawyer. He spoke of making America great again. And oh, how he was mocked.

Yet, in the Republican primaries Donald Trump dispatched over a dozen highly qualified experienced politicians. It was not just his celebrity status. It was not just the 2 billion dollars in estimated free media some have suggested Trump received. Donald Trump has a real message.

A raw American nationalism, dedicated to rebuilding not only a depleted manufacturing base but also committed to renewing American cities, improving decrepit infrastructure and looking out for American workers. Trump’s message is more than the man delivering it.

    FYI —-

FTA: People have no idea that the government can already track your movement and can determine if you are a protestor or not. A company named Mobilewalla released a report titled, “George Floyd Protester Demographics: Insights Across 4 Major US Cities.” It produced 60 pie charts detailing what percent of protesters in these demonstrations were male or female, young adult (18–34); middle-aged (35-54), or older (55+); and “African-American,” “Caucasian/Others,” “Hispanic,” or “Asian-American.” This data is available now and can provide a questionable practice constitutionally.

You better get a burner phone and leave the smartphone home if you are getting near any protest, for you can be determined to be part of it.

    1 Peter 5:8

    1 Peter 5:8
Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does.

Same verse but from a different translation –>

Be careful—watch out for attacks from Satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry, roaring lion, looking for some victim to tear apart.

FTA “Powell began by saying it is extraordinary that Judge Sullivan has not complied with the order. In her experience, this would typically occur within 24-48 hours. The briefing and hearing schedule have both been canceled, but the case has not been formally dismissed. She added that the full court could review the case, but in this circumstance, it would be unprecedented….Powell was not aware U.S. Attorney Jeff Jensen from the Eastern District of Missouri had been appointed by Attorney General Bill Barr to review the case. However, she began to receive Brady material as a result of that investigation. She also indicated it is her belief that some of what she has received came from the investigation of the U.S. Attorney John Durham, who is looking into the origins of the Russian collusion investigation….The biggest bomb Powell dropped is regarding documents she knows exist because of the government’s Brady filing that she has not yet received. One example is a set of text messages between Lisa Page and Peter Strozk discussing the press around the Steele dossier. Apparently, they planned to use the dossier as a pretext to question General Flynn….
Another document she is aware of is a memo inside the D.O.J. from January 30, 2017, that exonerates General Flynn of any wrongdoing related to Russia. This fact is stunning because they created an obstruction of justice investigation into President Trump for a conversation he had with former FBI Director Jim Comey on February 14, 2017. During that conversation, Trump indicated he hoped the Flynn investigation would end soon. Comey should have informed the president then and there that Flynn had been cleared. Instead, he documented the conversation and leaked it to the New York Times.”

Comey once again demonstrates he was the worst FBI Director in history. FBI Director Wray is currently challenging him on that title. I wonder if Judge Sullivan is waiting on confirmation from the deep state that Chief Justice Roberts will support/side with the liberals if the case is taken to the Supreme Court? Wouldn’t surprise me one at all I don’t know if I’m being paranoid or using common sense? Godspeed Sidney Powell and Gen Flynn!

All those stadiums are not going to get their revenue, no food sales, all those cities are not going to get their tax revenue and those woke 1% percent owners will be holding worthless teams..

Looks like the US citizens will go back to basics.. the things we really need made in America. Food Electricity transportation.

You just described the Achilles heal of the professional athletes.

No fans in the stands does not hurt the paychecks of the athletes, very much. Athletes derive their income from the TV Money and Sponsoring Sports Gear. In fact, the Team Owners derive significant income from TV money.

However, no fans in the stands in the stands makes the venue worthless to the city, who holds allot of the bonds for the stadiums and the team owners who also own significant shares in the stadiums. No fans in the stand can REMOVE the stadium where these over paid morons actually work.

I’m sorry, but it’s hard for me to respect the police who are “just obeying orders.”
They want support from people like me, a law abiding citizen who pays my taxes, yet I will be the first one arrested for not wearing a muzzle.
