The President will be watching this weekend for flooding.

States along the Gulf Coast are preparing for Tropical Storm Cristobal:

“It looks like flooding will be the greatest threat from the storm and could occur over a wide area from Texas to Florida,” a CNN meteorologist said. “It could produce widespread heavy rain associated directly from the storm and from a lot of tropical moisture that is already funneling into places like Florida.”

The U.S. has around 3 million deaths a year. This year roughly 750,000 have happened during the lock down.

No visits to hospitals or nursing homes. Funerals limited to a handful if at all, no family gatherings, no neighbors bringing over food. There is an enormous amount of grief that people haven’t been able to process.

Then there is the spectacle of George Floyd’s memorial services and funeral. Enormous gatherings, people traveling distances to participate… when normal people had to watch on a likely shaky cellphone for their 95 year old grandmother’s. No hugs at the wake, no communal grief.

I keep hearing of kids being consoled over lost graduation and proms. Weddings postponed or happening with only a handful making the news. Birthday parties with fire truck drive bys.

No political pundit seems to have latched on to this pent up grief. People are stuck at home and yet they see protest crowds and rioting. They see their Governor who has made all these rules, breaking them to match arm in arm with protesters (wearing a mask). If they were lucky they got to video chat a loved one dying in the hospital. It shows that some people are more ‘equal’ then others.

I’ve seen an inkling of backlash about this when someone tweeted their sorrow of having to ‘go’ to their father’s funeral on Zoom, while George’s family was getting the royal treatment. What followed was an outpouring of similar stories telling what they had gone through with deaths in their family. It wasn’t overly political.

Out of respect for the departed I am sure that’s why it wasn’t. I am sure their eyes are fully open now.

Missing a funeral is very hard, can’t go to my brother in law’s brothers next week. We have two new babies coming this month and my sister, the grandma, has been told she can’t hold them, fat chance for me. Seeing part of that funeral the other day just made me rage, so freaking unfair. My mama passed last spring, and I thank the good Lord it was not this year. Sick!

Even at this late point? I start to blame the paranoid people. Some of my relatives game sh@t for daring to go on daily walks outside. I love spending time with them but I’m not about to ask to come over. I don’t need to be blamed for someone’s sickness. People just aren’t thinking. They accepted the premise now they’ll ride it out to the bitter end because to do otherwise would point out their sheep tendencies.

I watched my mother decline with dementia for over a dozen years – frankly I would rather go out at 75 full of life and enjoying myself than to survive until I am 90 but be miserable the whole time!

She and her friends are having the time of their lives – like a bunch of teens who just scored a case of beer. They’re getting their hair done at underground hairdressers. They’ve gotten their priest to say daily Mass for them in their parish basement like they live in Saudi Arabia. They’re meeting at each other’s houses just to hang out and enjoy each other. They are d-o-n-e being locked down.

Even the Never Trumpers at NRO have figured this out. FTA:
“Not a single governor or mayor has tried to shut down protests themselves, even though BLM marchers are breaking the very edicts they signed. Nay, many of these officials march themselves, and invite others to participate. The despicable mayor of New York who threatened to sic the police on a dozen peaceful Yeshiva students only a couple of weeks ago now invites people to march by thousands.

Indeed, the same politicians who destroyed your business and livelihood — and the pundits and reporters who called you murderers for wanting to save it — are now making value judgments on when and where you should be allowed to practice your freedoms. By fiat, they decide who has rights based on skin color or ideology, and who is not worthy of them. It is a massive scandal….”

That National Review article touches on another cost of lockdowns. Depression and suicide. There are so many negatives to a lockdown of healthy people. Medical appointments and screenings canceled. Schooling lost for the most vulnerable.

Domestic abuse increases, drug and alcohol abuse and subsequent ODs skyrocketed. Loneliness in the elderly. Fear in the elderly because governors like Wolf and Cuomo sent virus patients into nursing homes. In my county 81% of the deaths are in nursing homes. NY numbers are bogus.

That is before the destroyed businesses and all the money the country has committed to.

Napoleon, wishing you well. I understand what you are talking about and hope you have figured out a routine to organize the days. Personally I use a notebook where, as a daily routine, I track an activity that I do every day (actually several activities, but one in particular, and check it off when it is done).

Especially if you are on meds that you must have, it’s good to have a notebook tracker where you record each med. Health aides working in care homes must initial a block for every medication AFTER it has been taken, and if it is a “desirable” med, they also have to count the tablets/capsules at shift change/handover. It’s a good habit to develop for your safety (or if you are taking care of a loved one, for their safety also)

        God bless and keep you

You are so right. Another imagery the left failed to think about. Thousands of Americans are watching creepy and the demonrat party hold four state funerals for a criminal while they were demanded to “abandon” their loved ones in the hour of greatest need. They could not see them, hold them, touch them, kiss them. They could not say good bye. Many could not get visitations or last rites from their ministers or priests. All these families now get to watch this veneration and re-live their pain and grief all over gain.

Found this this morning which is an excellent take on what is going on in Judge Sullivan’s circus, er court:
Cliff’s Notes version of Judge Sullivan’s brief:
“I find it unusual that a defendant railroaded into a guilty plea should find themselves in a position to withdraw that guilty plea”.
“We made him cross his fingers and hope to die, stick a needle in his eye, eat a horse manure pie, should he tell a lie by threatening to put him or his family in jail if he didn’t.
    So, no take-backs.”
“The lawyers who made it possible to do all of this were totally awesome and the defendant agreed after we made him say as much.”
“I really don’t like this guy. But that is irrelevant because the defendant said himself, that he is very unlikable.”

It’s a cautionary note issued by respected industry leaders who say unseen interests are exerting enormous control over research and what is– or isn’t– published. Their startling claim: that a large percentage of articles in prestigious medical journals are simply not to be believed.

…From 1992 to 2012, taxpayers shelled out $58 million to scientists whose papers were later retracted due to misconduct.

…applied due diligence to the many studies submitted to the New England Journal of Medicine, it started to feel like a losing battle.

…we often rejected things because it was clearly biased, but anything we rejected always ended up in another journal.

…Be skeptical about everything. Be skeptical about every study that you read, whether it’s in the New England Journal of Medicine or some journal you’ve never heard of.

…there’s an unwarranted campaign against hydroxychloroquine.

…Some of these decisions did not seem to be rational.

…You think lives were lost because it wasn’t used?

    …Yes, lives were lost.

…that VA report casting doubt on hydroxychloroquine as little more than a list of cases with crucial details missing. It turns out one author of the report received research funding from Gilead, the maker of remdesivir, including a 247-thousand dollar grant in 2018.

When it comes to money, we checked financial ties among experts on the government panel devising coronavirus treatment guidelines— which had the effect of dialing back hydroxychloroquine use and giving an edge to remdesivir.

We found that of 11 members reporting links to a drug company, nine of them named relationships to remdesivir’s maker Gilead. Seven more, including two of the committee’s leaders, have ties to Gilead beyond the 11 months they had to disclose. Two were on Gilead’s advisory board. Others were paid consultants or received research support and honoraria.

Nobody reported ties to hydroxychloroquine which is now made by numerous generic manufacturers and is so cheap, analysts say even a spike in sales would not be a financial driver for the companies.

There’s no big profits made in hydroxychloroquine. It’s very cheap, easy to manufacture, been around for 70 years. It’s generic.

We wanted to hear perspectives from from Dr. Fauci and Gilead, the maker of remdesivir, but they declined our interview requests. We also contacted numerous scientists who have criticized or are skeptical of hydroxycholoroquine, but they also did not want to be interviewed for this report.

Officers Aaron Torglaski and Robert McCabe are being charged with second-degree assault, according to prosecutors. Both were arraigned on Saturday, but released on their own recognizance after pleading not guilty. They will return to court on July 20. Both officers have already been suspended from duty.

He was told numerous times to leave the area. Curfew in effect and he was a known agitator who apparently had sued the police before. He approached marching riot police anyway and put a hand on one who was told to move the man out of the way by a superior officer as the contingent was moving to clear an area for curfew.

The man earlier had apparently confronted black protesters and agitated them with his attitude as they were solemnly trying to honor Floyd. One black man on a video was besides himself with this guy who was also on the video talking back to the black man. He apparently at one point told the black man he had come down to the square from his home in a suburb to “have some fun.” That did not go over well with the black man and woman standing there talking to him.

So take it for what it’s worth. The guy shouldn’t have been there and approaching police especially when they were preparing to do their job. Should he have been pushed? Judgement call, but now this guy will pursue a lawsuit if he recovers or his family will if he doesn’t. Bet on it. And the officers will have to fight in court to keep their jobs and their reputations and maybe lose their financial reserves too. What sad days we are seeing occur for our leos and for people in general.

The generating of hate by the left using the black community as their tool to try and unseat our Pres and govt. is just a terrible, terrible occurrence for all of us.

FTA “There are numerous issues with the deployment of FBI special agents to work on crowd control issues. One example occurred several days ago and was recorded in a TikTok video that showed 10-15 FBI Special Agents, patrol the streets in Washington D.C. Those agents were confronted with a much larger group of protestors who asked the special agents to “take a knee.” The FBI special agents did just that. All of them….Inside the Tactical Operations Center, the tensions are also high, as Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray have had numerous disagreements with the use of FBI agents out in the field, noted the source….Tactically, FBI Special Agents do not receive any training in riot control, crowd dynamics, or crowd-based non-lethal force tactics….However, when you now have video of FBI Special Agents taking a knee in solidarity with protestors protesting against the police charged with Floyd’s death, the perception of objectivity is now completely gone.”

Whether or not the FBI should be used in these Antifa riots is a legitimate debate. Not being trained for crowd control, without proper riot control equipment etc are real concerns. But the willingness to take a knee is a political statement. Once again the leftist leanings of the FBI have been exposed. It’s a corrupt leftist agency all the way down to field agents. I believe our military and LE should never take a knee it’s the universal sign of surrender. Time to get rid of Wray and the FBI in my opinion!

This is the direct result of the FBI being subordinated to the INTEL community, which started after 9/11 as well as political activism and then dumping the majority of their law enforcement jobs and investigationss on the local and state level police forces.

Even if the FBI survives the next few years, they will require years of retraining and retooling just to get back to law enforcement.

Probably also a result of at least eight years of promoting and hiring for a specific ideology (progressives) during Obama’s administration. The FBI has been deeply infiltrated. Wray is part of that infiltration IMO. Firing Wray and hiring a patriot is a good start but as you indicate it will take years to overcome what Obama, Mueller and Comey did to the Agency. Their entire mission needs to be re-evaluated, along with the rest of the IC. Grenell would be an excellent choice.

    PRESS STATEMENT

MICHAEL R. POMPEO, SECRETARY OF STATE

    Excerpt

The Chinese Communist Party’s callous exploitation of the tragic death of George Floyd to justify its authoritarian denial of basic human dignity exposes its true colors yet again. As with dictatorships throughout history, no lie is too obscene, so long as it serves the Party’s lust for power. This laughable propaganda should not fool anyone.

The contrast between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) could not be more stark.

In China, when a church burns, the attack was almost certainly directed by the CCP. In America, when a church burns, the arsonists are punished by the government, and it is the government that brings fire trucks, water, aid, and comfort to the faithful.

My guess 90% of those young people marching have no clue what the real truth is and probably don’t care about racial injustice issues either. They are being used for political fodder by the worst of the worst of us.

Time to reteach what needs to be known and take these young people back into the real world and what it has to offer them if they just learn to understand and reach for it. Plenty of us can reach right back and help them.

What? Sanders was on the ballot as was Gabbard. The Bernie bros want their delegates at the convention, so they came out in relatively strong numbers despite Bernie being out of contention.

The numbers in PA have become skewed due to dicatotor Wolf giving 6 mostly demonrat counties an extra week to get their paper ballots in. They won’t get away with that in November, though they may try. PDJT was up by 25000 votes over the combined Biden/Sanders tally two days after election day.

The dimms need to have their people do mail in ballots due to not being able to hit the straight line party button anymore. These paper ballots require every oval to be filled out for each candidate you vote for. Much more time consuming, which will be difficult for the LIV to handle at the polling place. Much easier to have a canvasser fill out the ballot for them.
