Another way to think about South Bay: Why Allow Protest, But Not Prayer? Mayors and Governors admit they think prayer simply isn’t as important

This double-standard demonstrates hostility towards religion, at a far greater level than the errant comments in Masterpiece Cakeshop. The Free Exercise of religion simply isn’t as important to these governors and mayors.

It seems the good retired general is good a witticisms and writing books but short in the result departments and slow to learn that lesson as well.

I certainly hope the President has a chance to view this train heist.
He certainly could make Jim Mattis eat his words that Americans should not be ”distracted by a small number of lawbreakers!”
The truth about Mattis is that he actually sounds quite banal, amidst all his arrogant, pseudo-savant airs. If you look at some of his ‘solemn’ pronouncements, you realize there is no ‘center of gravity’ to his thought process….all shallowness! No wonder he’s at home with socialists!
Before he was appointed by Trump, his ‘rep’ was that he was a voracious reader. My question is: did he actually read good books? And if they were, I suggest he go back and reread them!
The most notable case of a ‘thinker’ who is also a ‘doer’ is President Donald Trump.
A rare example of introspection and action. There will never be another like him!
        Mattis couldn’t carry his lunch-pail!

Ezekiel laid on his right side for 40 days to “bear the iniquity” of Judea’s sins

Goliath taunted Israel for 40 days before David defeated him

FORTY DAYS is always a testing period.

All who bow fail the COVID test by bowing to ANARCHY

Matthew 4:1-11 New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness
4 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[b]”

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:

“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[c]”
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[d]”

8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’[e]”

11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

Give Rosenstein, McCabe and Baker a lie detector test for starters or just set on your asses and do nothing?

Flashback: James Baker Testified Under Oath Rosenstein Plotted to Wear a Wire to Oust Trump From Office with 25th Amendment
    By Cristina Laila
    Published June 3, 2020

Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, the man who authorized Robert Mueller to rove around unchecked for a two year ‘Trump-Russia investigation’ testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday morning.

Rosenstein told Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI) that he NEVER discussed a plot to wear a wire to remove President Trump using the 25th Amendment.

However, there is evidence to the contrary.

    Somebody is lying.

In October of 2018, then-Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC) called for Rosenstein to step down following explosive testimony from Comey confidant former FBI general counsel James Baker.

James Baker appeared on Capitol Hill in October of 2018 for the second time to testify about Rosenstein’s plan to wear a wire and and the use of FISA warrants to oust President Trump from office.

Rep. Meadows emerged from the testimony and called for Rosenstein to “resign immediately.”

“Based on additional information we’ve learned over the last week, it is clear Rod Rosenstein should resign immediately,” Meadows previously said to reporters.

James Baker previously told Congressional investigators that Rosenstein’s plot to wear a wire and oust Trump from office was not a joke as the DAG claimed.

Rod Rosenstein in 2017 spoke with DOJ and FBI officials about wearing a wire and secretly recording President Trump to be able to build a case that Trump is unfit to hold office.

Rosenstein began plotting Trump’s removal shortly after FBI Director Comey was fired, The New York Times reported citing memos penned by then-Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe.

McCabe’s 2-page memo detailed a “contemporaneous recollection” of a meeting McCabe had with Rosenstein on May 16, 2017 — Just one day before Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller as special counsel to investigate ‘Trump-Russia collusion.’

McCabe detailed how Rosenstein offered to wear a wire into the Oval Office “to collect additional evidence on the president’s true intentions.”

It appears Rosenstein may have perjured himself this morning but he won’t be charged because he’s a protected Deep State actor.

Typical. This progressive rag can’t seem to fathom that the unrest is the irregular part, and The Market knows it. Yes, real damage was done by China Flu and the Riots, but the market is saying the impacts are surfacy, the world is not shaken to its core like the Progressives would want you to believe.

She rightfully says NO OTHER culture in our country will glorify a criminal – we all only uplift SUCCESSFUL people! The blacks glorify their lowest common denominator!! THIS is a huge difference and it LOWERS their average!

They martyr their criminals while everyone else says: “You’re a criminal – goodbye!”

  22. I think Barack & his 0bamatons activated the mob after seeing an economy reinvigorating once again, highlighting increased black economic opportunity under Trump AND Biden’s latest gaffe insulting every black citizen (0bama/BidenGate panic also played a big role).

After the Civil War and a Republican President liberating black folks, the KKK emerged from the democrat party to prevent former slaves from joining the American mainstream via segregation.

Today, after the Hope & Change” baloney failed and a Republican President provided economic liberation to a new generation of black people, Antifa sprang from the democrat party to keep the descendants of slaves from joining the American mainstream via agitation.

Democrats have declared war on America AGAIN because they see they are losing control over what they still consider to be their property – Black People.

    Some Facts Worth Knowing
Study concludes that if the U.S. “poor” were a nation it would be one of the world’s richest
    3 Jun 2020

A recent study by Just Facts, an excellent source of factual information, shows that after accounting for income, charity and noncash welfare benefits such as subsidized health care, housing, food stamps and other assistance programs, “the poorest 20% of Americans consume more goods and services than the national averages for all people in the world’s most affluent countries.” This includes the majority of countries that are members of Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, including its European members. The Just Facts study concludes that if the U.S. “poor” were a nation, then it would be one of the world’s richest.

As early as 2010, 43% of all poor households owned their own homes. The average home owned by persons classified as poor by the Census Bureau is a three-bedroom house with one-and-a-half baths, a garage and a porch or patio. Eighty percent of poor households have air conditioning. The typical poor American has more living space than the average non-poor individual living in Paris, London, Vienna, Athens and other cities throughout Europe. Ninety-seven percent of poor households have one or more color televisions — half of which are connected to cable, satellite or a streaming service. Some 82% of poor families have one or more smartphones. Eighty-nine percent own microwave ovens and more than a third have an automatic dishwasher. Most poor families have a car or truck and 43% own two or more vehicles.

Most surveys on U.S. poverty are deeply flawed because poor households greatly underreport both their income and noncash benefits such as health care benefits provided by Medicaid, free clinics and the Children’s Health Insurance Program, nourishment provided by food stamps, school lunches, school breakfasts, soup kitchens, food pantries, the Women, Infants & Children Program and homeless shelters.

President Trump just issued a tweet endorsing Mark & Debbie Meadows’ close friend Lynda Bennett—really Debbie’s BFF—for the ongoing NC-11 GOP runoff primary (early voting started today, election day 6/23). I can only believe the POTUS did this at Mark’s request because there is grassroots anger across the district for the way this campaign has gone. The young man in the runoff, David Madison Cawthorn, is the kind of Millennial conservatives need in Congress. The dynamic 24-year-old paraplegic, nominated to attend the Naval Academy by Meadows before a life-altering mishap, runs circles around Bennett. Who ever wins I will vote for. So I just don’t know.

I’ve talked with both Bennett and Cawthorn, and the fact he is not scripted shows. I assume you’re familiar with the details of Mark’s announcement not to run again and the “prepositioning” of Bennett’s campaign. Debbie enlisted Polly Jordan to join in the effort, and they were very visible before the “conservative“ yellow recommended ballot was challenged during the first primary. (Cleta Mitchell was called in to quell that storm with the FEC.) The Freedom Caucus love (Jim Jordan, Andy Biggs, etc.) seems to flow as a political favor to Mark. Too each his/her own, but there’s a reason Cawthorn is the only candidate endorsed by first-round challengers (e.g., Patterson, Osborne) as well as most county sheriffs. I had hoped backroom deals wasn’t part of our district.

        • Where is Cawthorn getting his money? I use adblock on by computer but not on my phone and all I can say he has some money backing him…lots of ads. Do you know his money source?

I was told by local Republican political pol (Buncombe County) that Debbie started a pac to elect more women to office and rules of pac money are that she has to run someone and this Lynda was the only one around. Yes, I know Freedom Caucus is doing this based on Meadow’s recommendation. Keep in mind, Meadows was not the favored candidate when he ran the first time…he is not a native, he is from Florida. Cawthorn is local.

          What’s the back room deal?

          • emeraldcoaster says:

Lynda Bennett was shopped around the district by Debbie Meadows last year as “someone we need to get to know”. Debbie stopped shopping Lynda when questions were raised about conflicts with her PAC. My wife was introduced to Bennett more than once at county functions, and she was puzzled when Lynda told her she was from Maggie Valley. From Mark’s brother setting up Bennett’s website in October, to the prearranged Asheville TeaPAC involvement, the Meadows’ intent to handpick Mark’s successor was pretty obvious.

As with other candidates, Cawthorn’s receipts and disbursements are available at FEC.gov; the data is posted quarterly. Cawthorn’s donors are from all over the district while Bennett’s donors are from all over the country (especially D.C.). You might note Bennett’s campaign made no payment to Cleta Mitchell’s law firm (Foley and Lardner LLP) for cleaning up the issue with a problematic sample ballot. But there are payments to the firm reflected on last quarter’s Meadows for Congress report.

Oh, contrary to the PAC ad this would not be Madison’s first job.

            • It boils down to: vote for someone who, if elected, owes her win to POTUS, Meadows , and the Freedom caucus..or someone receiving money from “all over the district”…why don’t you say who from? I heard he received money from a pro-abortion group. So, if elected, he owes his election to various special interest groups but, all from the district. This district is somewhat diverse, includes Asheville.

I have no clue what Madison did for work; not the issue for me. His age and how easily manipulated he can be by BIG money…that’s the issue. Maybe in 10 years I will take a second look at him.

              • FYI, I have no idea who Cleta Mitchell is or what you are talking about. I am an unaffiliated voter who votes Republican and have no interest in getting involve in small time politics, which is what the Republican party is all about where I live. They have no interest in attracting new people and pretty much diss anyone who wants to get involved. They were all Ted Cruz supporters…probably glad the GOP convention will not be in NC.

              • emeraldcoaster says:

I mentioned the FEC.gov website because every candidate is required to file with them. Cawthorn’s contributors and disbursement recipients are listed, as required by statute, and available for all to peruse. The individual contribution amounts are noticeably smaller than his opponent’s. Pro-abortion organization support? Not hardly. Madison is adamantly pro-life.

Time to grab the narrative with statistics. Somebody good with numbers, and access to data should pull some stats, by state:

    # police murdered
    # police assaulted
    # civilians murdered
    # civilians assaulted
    # businesses looted
    # buildings burned
    # cars burned
    # police cars burned
    # of arrests
    # of detainees released from custody

Data could be rolled up into nationwide stats, or parsed out by state to show (my instinct) highest incidence of murder/assault/larceny/arson is in states controlled by Democrats. I’d bet that in those states, you’d also find the highest incidence of detainees being released to go commit more mayhem.

Roll the data up into some telling one liners, put them on a PowerPoint slide(s), and open a press conference with that. Ask the press corps if they were ever gonna get around to reporting on this.

Their goal is to get the nationwide violence tamped down, and, as much as I dislike Wray, I think both he and Barr are saying what the nation needs to hear.

Not that it will make any difference with the forces whose agenda is to intentionally cause strife and anarchy, but maybe some of the “peaceful protesters” who are just plain gullible will hear what they need to hear.

With tax revenue down perhaps this can be marketed as an insomnia cure on late night TV 🙄 Better, send Wray out on the lecture circuit to speak at insomnia clinics. Ric Grenell can take over his 7th floor office while he’s gone.

Ugh. Christopher Wray. Spends 5 seconds talking about Antifa and 2 minutes talking social justice nonsense. ‘Communities of color’. Dang, I didn’t know I was made of plastic and see through? One of the great hypocrisies of language in this country- “Colored people” is racist because white people used it to exclude non-whites. But “people of color” isn’t when it’s used to exclude white people??

I will give the progressives credit for how they have used linguistics to their utmost advantage. For instance “systemic racism” or “inherent bias.” The construct of those terms are diabolical because of course if you argue neither exists, then it proves their point. I am sure on of our treeper debaters/latin experts know the logic construct of such arguments.
