President Trump National Address on The Death of George Floyd and National Outcry – Video and Transcript…

There are a lot of people asking for President Trump to give remarks to the nation about the ongoing violence and riots in the aftermath of George Floyd’s horrific murder.

Apparently many people did not listen to President Trump’s address on Saturday afternoon about this exact issue. Or perhaps the media’s need to ignore the content of his speech has led to some confusion. Regardless, here’s the transcript:

.

[Transcript of Remarks] – “I want to say a few words about the situation in Minnesota. The death of George Floyd on the streets of Minneapolis was a grave tragedy. It should never have happened. It has filled Americans all over the country with horror, anger, and grief.

Yesterday, I spoke to George’s family and expressed the sorrow of our entire nation for their loss. I stand before you as a friend and ally to every American seeking justice and peace. And I stand before you in firm opposition to anyone exploiting this tragedy to loot, rob, attack, and menace. Healing, not hatred; justice, not chaos are the mission at hand.

The police officers involved in this incident have been fired from their jobs. One officer has already been arrested and charged with murder. State and federal authorities are carrying out an investigation to see what further charges may be warranted, including against, sadly, the other three.

In addition, my administration has opened a civil rights investigation, and I have asked the Attorney General and the Justice Department to expedite it.

I understand the pain that people are feeling. We support the right of peaceful protesters, and we hear their pleas. But what we are now seeing on the streets of our cities has nothing to do with justice or with peace.

The memory of George Floyd is being dishonored by rioters, looters, and anarchists. The violence and vandalism is being led by Antifa and other radical left-wing groups who are terrorizing the innocent, destroying jobs, hurting businesses, and burning down buildings.

The main victims of this horrible, horrible situations are the citizens who live in these once lovely communities. The mobs are devastating the life’s work of good people and destroying their dreams. Right now, America needs creation, not destruction; cooperation, not contempt; security, not anarchy. And there will be no anarchy. Civilization must be cherished, defended, and protected. The voices of law-abiding citizens must be heard, and heard very loudly.

We cannot and must not allow a small group of criminals and vandals to wreck our cities and lay waste to our communities. We must defend the rights of every citizen to live without violence, prejudice, or fear.

We support the overwhelming majority of police officers who are incredible in every way and devoted public servants. They keep our cities safe, protect our communities from gangs and drugs, and risk their own lives for us every day.

No one is more upset than fellow law enforcement officers by the small handful who fail to abide by their oath to serve and protect. My administration will stop mob violence and will stop it cold.

It does not serve the interests of justice or any citizen of any race, color, or creed for the government to give into anarchy, abandon police precincts, or allow communities to be burned to the ground. It won’t happen.

Those making excuses or justifications for violence are not helping the downtrodden, but delivering new anguish and new pain.

From day one of my administration, we have made it a top priority to build up distressed communities and revitalize our crumbling inner cities.

We fought hard with Senator Tim Scott and many others to create Opportunity Zones, helping to draw a surge of new investment to the places in our country that need it most. We must all work together as a society to expand opportunity and to create a future of greater dignity and promise for all of our people. We must forge a partnership with community leaders, local law enforcement, and the faith community to restore hope.

Radical-left criminals, thugs, and others all throughout our country and throughout the world will not be allowed to set communities ablaze. We won’t let it happen. It harms those who have the least. And we will be protecting those who have the least.

The leadership of the National Guard and the Department of Justice are now in close communication with state and city officials in Minnesota. And we’re coordinating our efforts with local law enforcement all across our nation.

In America, justice is never achieved at the hands of an angry mob. I will not allow angry mobs to dominate. It won’t happen. It is essential that we protect the crown jewel of American democracy: the rule of law and our independent system of justice. Every citizen in every community has the right to be safe in their workplace, safe in their homes, and safe in our city streets.

This is the sacred right of all Americans that I am totally determined to defend and will defend. My administration will always stand against violence, mayhem, and disorder.

We will stand with the family of George Floyd with the peaceful protesters and with every law-abiding citizen who wants decency, civility, safety, and security.

We are working toward a more just society, but that means building up, not tearing down; joining hands, not hurling fists; standing in solidarity, not surrendering to hostility.

Moments ago, as we witnessed the launch of two great American astronauts into space, we were filled with the sense of pride and unity that brings us together as Americans. That same spirit which powered our astronauts to the Moon has also helped lift our country to ever greater heights of justice and opportunity throughout our history.

So today, as we mark a renewed commitment to America’s future in space, a tremendous commitment it is. Let us also commit to a brighter future for all of our citizens right here on Earth.

When Americans are united, there is nothing we cannot do. From day one of my administration, we put America first.” (link)  [Video Available Here]

in the 20th century, the media did not ignore launches of astronauts and even satellites into space. It was always a big event, lots of news coverage, and TV shows were interrupted to show the launches.
We took pride in the Space Program. It was important, it was thrilling.

        • Yesterday’s launch was covered on several cable networks simultaneously. Sadly, a lot of the pre-launch programming was the very same commercialized, scripted material that was broadcast on Thursday, prior to the scrubbed launch. The.Exact.Same.

I received flak for saying that America needs to rekindle its OWN space program, instead of hitchhiking on Russian or SpaceX launch vehicles. But, I’ll Double Down on that sentiment, regardless.

It’s not that I’m trying to take away from what SpaceX is achieving, or saying that it should be “Regulated” by government. It shouldn’t be. More power TO him. It’s Musk’s kind of adventurous, entrepreneurial spirit that stimulates civilizations to greater heights.

          BUT

How can WE “Take Pride” in Elon Musk’s commercial venture? Instead, WE should note that America’s former glory as leader of Space Exploration withered on the vine under successive administrations that failed to maintain, let alone expand, our launch capabilities.

By all means, I congratulate Elon Musk for his (often innovative) achievements, most notably his reusable, self-landing first-stage components. But, I have ZERO feelings of “Ownership” for those accomplishments, and only a sense of sad dismay that our NATIONAL Space Program was finally abandoned under Barack Obama. We.Can.Do.Better.

What you’re saying is that it’s more important that the government do the space program than that it get done well and now.

Why do you think the GOVERNMENT program withered on the vine? Why is the Postal Service such a joke while doing so much right? The state DMVs? Why can extremely well paid and equipped municipal police departments not maintain order in our cities?

I think some things MUST be done by government. But that’s not because the government’s worth a crap at doing stuff.

Structurally excellent too, in that it moved from the expected recognition of the launch to an in-depth discussion of the malfeasance of both the accused policeman and the rioters. The subsequent transition back to the American character and our destiny to lead the future of space exploration was so smoothly woven to together, I found myself unable to say exactly how it happened. Pretty well done for an orange man with small hands! /s

Ps. NASA said 10 million people watched the launch. Take note, politicians.

Yes, the media is trying to hide this speech. CNN and MSNBC did not show it live, I believe. And many people won’t know that much of it was spent discussing George Floyd and the aftermath of his death.

From what I can see online, it looks as though tonight (Saturday night) was the turning point in Minneapolis. Looks like law enforcement is starting to get a handle on things. I hope so. Once that situation is handled, others can start to be handled.

Drop a pin on a protestor as COVID infected, and see how many iPhones and Androids show up in the network.

It would be yet another unfortunate by-product of obama’s corruption. The ability to do as you stated would be a boon to a LAW ABIDING fed LE agency, assuming the will was there to actually hunt down (finally) prosecute and punish the anti-America Left. Murder by neglect is the issue here. The Irony too. The cop was attending with a duty of care. Medical extremis was apparent. The rest is recorded history.

The video seems to tell the tale of a tragic cardiac event and desperate inability to breathe. All was heard but materially ignored which demonstrates an apparent depravity of care. That’s Murder 3 in Minnesota. The EMS response was even more bizarre.

This all happened in a town run by people like Klobuchar and their thug union cohorts who are used to receiving party immunity.

I does seem possible there’s an underlying motive that somehow may run from the possession/use of counterfeit money, recent evidence of significant counterfeiting operations (a train car full of same) and the pair working together as bouncers at a club notorious for money laundering; a club allegedly involved with foreign national owners.

If a significant operation, they will buy protection as far up the chain as possible. They will likely operate from a defensive posture that is well understood and well rewarded.

All this raises big questions about Democrats in charge, Klobuchar and what money is going where to whom and with what reward. Cui Bono.

And then we are left with The Radical Assholes.

Radical Assholes — malignant apolitical pretenders acting out their personality disorders in a grand display of Protest Theater. It’s all one big self immolation as they try to provoke and unleash the criminality in nearly everyone else.

Don’t take the bait. Round them up. Gather the facts. Map the networks. Identify the foundations, corporations, trusts and foreign agents and governments involved and lock them all up for the rabid animal predators they have become.

Find them. Get them. Remove them. For good.

Don’t dignify this with politics (even though the are just acting like Democrats.)

Radical Assholes. They are what they are. Their politics doesn’t matter.

Their deranged incivility does. They don’t just need removal from our streets and institutions, they need to be excised from our society, — without malice or fanfare.

These actors, their enablers, handlers and funders are first order enemy combatants with no intention of behaving reasonably. They intend harm. They are utterly malignant.

We will politely agree to disagree as to your legal conclusion. The behavior was abhorrent and very probably criminal but “murder” can only be determined by a duly constituted court after a fair trial. It is truly disappointing to see those who espouse the “rule of law” acting as judge, jury and “executioner” on the sole basis of a smartphone video. It is exactly what the enemies of our Constitution want us to do and the reason the “news reporting” of it is cast the way it is.

THANK YOU! It seems entirely possible that Floyd was the victim of a heart condition that led to cardiac arrest in a situation of severe stress. Such conditions can feel like shortness of breath as a substitute for chest pain. No cop is going to figure that out when he can see that the guy is breathing okay and talking.

There are plenty of doctors who don’t recognize such ‘anginal equivalents.’ It’s even possible that Floyd had such a condition without knowing anything more than “I get short of breath when I exercise a bit.”

IMO armie you are right he started to complain of breathing problems when they tried to put him in the police car and he started saying he was claustrophobic (classic air way distress feeling) I have watched allot of videos and I suggest others do the same at times the officer had his knee between his shoulder blades. Just my personal observations that mean nothing)

      • Not in the medical field but It looked like the cop had his knee on the guy’s carotid artery, which blocks bloodflow to the brain….This is different than cutting off airway(i.e. asphixia).

As a former amateur wresstler/coach, I’ve seen guys black out, even with legal holds when this happens. An example is at the :32 second mark: https://youtu.be/p21PxT_TZqo

That’s why cops always pull them up immediately and set them up. FWIW

Trump very carefully avoided characterizing the incident, and you’re seeing equivocation pretty frequently now among other politicians, so the word’s getting out. It has been obvious since the first moment that this wasn’t a murder, and as the body camera footage comes out, that will be more evident. The M.E. report made that clear. We should have tox info early next week, which may also be a factor, but basically intense physical exertion will trigger any defects your own body has. One of the officers commented on his concern about excited delirium, and he was most likely right, though his proposed solution probably wouldn’t have helped.

By an interesting coincidence, during one of today’s arrests in L.A, the rioter was violently acting out, and the arresting officer got him under control by the ole’ knee on the neck/shoulder move. None of the commentators remarked on it.

This is how desperate the media and the left are to win. They’ve tricked many Black Americans into falling for it and there is even video poof that Antifa has paid blacks to join the riots but most now are seeing through this.

This is what POTUS and AG Barr were referring too.

Yep. And I don’t trust Barr to investigate either. Remember, he was AG at the time of the Rodney King incident. Original state jury acquitted and in one case hung because they had seen all the evidence, not just the snippet that the media had on a loop tape. Then Barr jumps in with Federal charges, jury shops and sends at least one cop to prison. Clearly railroaded the guy for political reasons.

People can be revived if CPR is performed and done quickly. The police on the scene should have been monitoring Mr. Floyd’s vital signs and taking appropriate action in an attempt to keep him alive. It’s not optional, it’s a requirement of the law.

As a corrections officer with 33+ years experience I’ve performed CPR on inmates and staff several times in my career. Not only is it the right thing to do, refusing to do so would result in department and likely criminal/civil charges.

The witnesses told the cops that the victim was bleeding through the nose AND THEY DID NOTHING. Bad Cop continued to put his full weight upon the neck of the victim. EVEN IF the victim died of an underlying condition does not mean that they do nothing and continue with their bad behavior. They showed no humanity.

For over 4 YEARS we’ve watched our Gov officials (Fed & State) run amok. We’ve seen innocent people PERSECUTED over politics/opinions, while criminal illegals live ABOVE the law. We repeatedly see parasitic Fed officials REWARDED for UNLAWFUL activity: retirement$ (off taxpayers) + book deal$ + private contract$.

CHANGE the example that’s clearly been set… or it’s it’s “Welcome to the Wild, Wild West”. ~JMHO

How do you end a war? Destroyed their supplies…money… and disrupt their communication. Then arrest these white liberal terrorists called antifa who are burning cities. The Germans before WW2 just stand by when the Nazi pillage their fellow jewish community. The whole the community has to fight back and organize to protect their cities.

pluck a couple quietly out of the crowd and interrogate them like the terrorist they are. Hold them for a month if need be. They are upping their game to assaulting business owners. The Floyd rioters are opportunist but so is the Secret Service and US Marshall’s if they would be given the order to do so. IMO I would like to think we have a new sheriff in town and his name is President Trump

Anybody else catch that part about “throughout the world?”

That jumped out at me – almost like he was saying “I seeeeee you” to some offshore globalists with their fingers and money in this mess….

I would LOVE to see someone like Soros finally go down…

Antifa is a domestic terrorist group. It must be crushed by law enforcement. Anyone who has participated in this criminal violence against the innocent and defenseless citizens in these communities must do serious jail time. Any politicians who have encouraged this criminal violence or have been silent in the face of it, or have failed to protect their citizens and communities, must be defeated and forever removed from any position of public trust. Any media figure or figure in the popular culture — actor, athlete, comedian, etc. — who has encouraged or excused this criminal violence should be forever condemned by the American people. There must be no excuses or exceptions for this violent mayhem and anarchy, endangering the lives and destroying the livelihoods of innocent citizens.

He called the cops when he panicked after taking cocaine. Cops mocking him as he was cuffed on ground. “Is he dead?”

This situation is very similar but IMO, with the story & video, worse. Victim white.

The FBI and DHS are supposed to stop stuff like this from happening. This operation was planned and carried out right under their noses and, as far as I can tell, they haven’t done a damn thing about it.

Fire them all and start over.

The looting will continue until the looters are stopped. Why would they not continue? As other thugs see that you can literally get all the goodies you want and no one is even trying to stop you, the mobs are going to increase and stores are going to be looted every night.

The wonderment is, why hasn’t this looting already become common? It’s so dang easy.

I admit I’m mad right now and I want to see the law applied and consequences happen but that is why PT is president and I’m not. I know he is planning something and that he will come out on top of this.

And I can honestly say thank God Obozo or Shrillary aren’t in the WH because all one would do is play golf and hold a gala with Beyotche and JayZ today and the other would be too ginned up to move.

While George Floyd’s death was not planned, at least as far as could be told at this point, the protests were hijacked by Antifa and BLM and any other subversive group to become riots. These are not spontaneous events, they are planned, supported by big money, organized. People bused in to direct the actions, supplying the “Comrades” of Illhan’s daughter with the means to burn things down.

This is domestic terrorism being disguised as a protest of a wrongful death. I hope the DOJ is following the money. I suspect it comes from Soros, or some other leftist group looking to overthrow our government. Never let a crisis go to waste, even if it was one manufactured, or especially if it is one that was manufactured.

The organizers know they just need to push the spark, then direct the mob and push the looting which a large part of those “protestors” are really there for.

Great timing too. Just when the light is being shone on the coup efforts, and the country moving toward opening up after this useless shut down. Keep the news of Flynn being framed, and success of restarting the space program which was dead for 9 years.

I expect Kayleigh to have a field day at her next Press Interrogation. .

If elements of our government can go after criminal regimes or actors of these regimes financially why does it not freeze and clamp down on George Soreass and his NGOs and financial doing ? BLM ? Why doesn’t someone revoke every single one of his many 401c tax exempt organizations which are many ?

Will the MSM ask dementia joe why his staffers were bailing out anarchists, BLM, and antifa thugs?
Will the MSM ask the Minneapolis mayor why his daughter was passing along Natl. guard movements to thugs, and perhaps where she got them?
Will the MSM ask 0mar why her daughter was encouraging violence?
Will the MSM as AOC why she was giving directives to thugs on how to thug and get away with it?

I have a feeling that this is just the tip of the iceberg of what the dims have been doing, and how many have been doing it.

The police officer in the photo is the new Vladimir Putin and George Floyd’s death is the new Russian collusion hoax. If you can say “I can’t breathe” then you are breathing just like the Eric Gardner hoax. The Minneapolis medical examiner ruled that George Floyd didn’t die from suffocation or asphyxiation by the police officer. His death was caused by a combination of being drugged out and having chronic heart and artery disease. The official COD is pending a toxicology report.
