The Anger Games – Friday Night Riots – Open Discussion Thread

The riots, arson, looting and related violence has spread from Minneapolis Minnesota to several urban areas around the nation.  From ground reports it appears Antifa groups have organized and infiltrated activist and protest groups in Minneapolis and beyond.

Democrat strongholds in Atlanta (GA), Washington DC, Houston (TX), New York City (NY), Los Angeles (CA), and other deep blue metropolitan areas are now seeing organized riots, anti-police violence and chaos.

Many people are calling for federal intervention; however, that type of confrontation is the intended goal of the social anarchy crowd.  The leftist chaos is purposeful bait.

Politically speaking, the merging of Antifa (revolution communists) & Black Lives Matter (sub-text political Islam), has a purposeful agenda unknown to the standard brick thrower. Suburban white liberals, essentially modern affiliates of the former Bill Ayers Weather Underground, are the organizing entities.  Most of the people on the street are oblivious.

Local authorities in/around the urban danger zones have the primary responsibility to maintain domestic tranquility.  Federal intervention to replace local political ineptitude, and lack of desire to confront a crisis of their own creation, is short-sighted.

If local officials and/or state governors are not going to take action; factually they do not want to take action because they are fearful of backlash from their own tribe; then federal assistance doesn’t work.  It is better for President Trump to watch from a distance and keep reminding the U.S. electorate how he supports, but will not replace, local officials.

The 2020 Anger Games were predictable.

When a white police officer kills a black man in a totally justified killing, as in Ferguson, and a white police officer kills a black man in an unjustified killing, as in Minneapolis, the reaction, violent rioting and looting and burning, is the same, which must tell any sane people left that none of this is about justice. It is about something else almost entirely.

Members of Royalty of Old could strike and even smite other members of royalty, but a member of the serf class could not even raise a hand, or even a word, to them no matter what. Think of all the blacks who kill other blacks, and every single day, it’s an epidemic, and all the whites who are killed by blacks (5 plus times as many as the other way around), and not a word out of Obama, Holder, Sharpton, BLM, etc., etc., etc.,but let a non-black (especially a white person) kill a black person, even in self defense, as in Ferguson, it makes no difference to them, it’s a capital crime anyway to be shouted to the roof tops to beat all whites over the head with. This is a very bad very one sided “marriage” and frankly, at this point, I would not much mind a “divorce”.

    • The autopsy in Minneapolis stated he did not die from asphyxiation.
He had a heart failure of some kind.
I have a buddy who is a police officer and I ask him when I saw the picture of Freddie Gray being held down about the knee on the back thing.
He stated if done correctly, you are balancing and only applying the pressure to keep them down.
He was taught to rise up a bit with them but it took very little pressure down .
He said it looks worse than it is .
      .
We know he was breathing for at least 3 or 4 minutes and there is no indication that pressure was increased.
The charging documents stated they discussed his condition and thought he was suffering delirium and should be kept in that position.
The shop owner said he was extremely intoxicated.

I would say with these facts ,it may not be a slam dunk case.
Especially if toxicology comes back in the Freddie range.

The parallels with Rodney King and Eric Garner are clear: three large and scary men (yes, black) who fought back (resisted arrest) and the cops over-reacted (understandably). Garner and Floyd stressed themselves and had medical episodes.

Like Rodney King, we’re not seeing the early portion of the fight. King was hit with tasers and continued to fight. The cops assumed with King and Floyd they were seeing the effects of drugs or alcohol.

Garner announced he was not going to jail. To me, his case is the most tragic. Selling loose cigarettes? So what? Who was he hurting? The authorities were most reluctant to pursue that case: I bet complaints about selling loose cigarettes now go unanswered.

The need to restrain is part of the ‘excited delirium’ event. It is necessary so that the arrestee and arrestors are not injured. The underlying illnesses that plagued this man are more likely the cause of death. Not the actions of the officers.

If you notice there is a wet spot where his face was on the ground. Excited Delirium causes the body to sweat profusely and body temperature to spike. The wet spot is a good indication he was sweating profusely and that he was in excited Delirium.

There is no boot or knee on the throat at any time. The other 3 officers were holding his body so he could not injure them or himself. Therefore, the pressure needed was not excessive. The officer’s face is relaxed and does not indicate he was being threatened. So why would he need to press down with the weight of his body?

If you notice on the video, one he and the officer arrive at the police car, he lounges to the ground Towards the police Car on the sidewalk side. In the next images he is on the street side of the police car. HOW did he reach the street side. Was he resisting arrest? Did he crawl out of the car? Most likely excited Delirium took over his mental and physical capacities and the officers had to restrain him.

Excited Delirium happens often especially when there are underlying drugs.

The video of the lady in the NY park strangling and choking the dog as she make the 911 call shows a person completely unhinged and unaware of her surroundings. So much so that she was killing her dog. Police are trained to be aware of surroundings and to handle these very stressful situations.

That is not to say this officer acted properly or was not negligent. That conclusion must be based on facts. The forensics report and fellow officers testimony will serve as evidence. And if and only if the elements of the crime are met should he be found guilty.

That is our system- that is what we agree to do in all cases. It is called due process. We should not change the rules just because the optics are bad. No one should be charged, tried and convicted in the court of public opinion as this officer has been.

I dunno. Too many weird circumstances surrounding this incident.

Sundance announcing that he’s waiting before reporting any conclusions or opinions is a big red flag that he also smells somethings not adding up.

I’m waiting on this and not making any speculative accusations.

The charges were a vain attempt to avoid public backlash given the widely viewed video. But it didn’t quell the rioters. That was obviously already planned.

            This ain’t organic. It’s pre-organized.

The lady In the park with her dog is another bad story. Having lived with a Schizophrenic, it jumped out at me.

She was not afraid of the black man. She was deathly afraid of being filmed. She may have believed saying she was being threatened by a black man and calling the cops would stop the threat. The man happened to be black. She would have acted the same with anyone else filming her, calling the cops to make the threat go away when all else failed.

She has a mental condition that is easily treated with medication that will stop the madness. Instead, NYC human rights has to investigate her.

The restraint no doubt contributed to problems with the underlying medical conditions. One thing we cannot know when we first encounter a person is what medical conditions he/she may have. The optics here are horrible, and one wonders why the officer did not desist at least once Floyd was quiet. Clearly, as is often the case, there may be more going on here than meets the eye. But it is a shame George Floyd died as he did.

The thing is that the people rioting have a lot of legitimate grievances and no way to address them. Where they live, the corrupt democrats run everything. Just like Obama turned federal law enforcement into enforcers of corrupt tyranny. Same thing but never any Durhams, ever. Now you can make the argument that they vote for that, and maybe that’s true. Who knows, the way dems run elections. It’s all very strange, the way the left is torching their own cities. This is a rerun of the Eric Garner case in Staten Island for a 300-pound diabetic black man with major heart problem decided to have a fight with three cops trying to arrest him and have a heart attack. So the heart attack killed that guy … but the leftists kept screaming that the choke hold used to control him suffocated him. That was also a LIE.

Remember, they are children of the Father of Lies.

The Medical Examiner of Minneapolis said the man had heart issues, coronary artery disease; also, he was seen and heard on the video complaining “I can’t breathe” BEFORE the cops got him on the ground. In other words, the cop kneeling on him didn’t kill him at all: unbeknownst to them, the guy was dying of a heart attack.

But the cop will have to be lynched nevertheless, to appease the racists who want his scalp and a cause celebre.

Medical examiner concludes George Floyd didn’t die of asphyxia
    By Mica Soellner
    May 29, 2020 – 5:37 PM

“In the charges brought against former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin on Friday, a new finding shows the county medical examiner concluded the death of George Floyd was not a result of asphyxia or strangulation. An autopsy of Floyd was conducted Tuesday following his death on Monday after Chauvin restrained him for nearly nine minutes by pressing his knee on Floyd’s neck.

The full report by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office is pending but so far has found “no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation.”

Floyd’s underlying health conditions included coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease. The report says the underlying health conditions, combined with Chauvin’s restraint and any possible intoxicants in Floyd’s system, likely contributed to his death.”

It may be that when all the facts are in, we will conclude that George Floyd died as a result of negligence on the part of Minneapolis policemen. The cops are in a no win situation. The politicians create this chaos and then the cops are suppose to go in and put their lives on the line, for what? If they have to shoot somebody, the whole establishment is going to turn their backs on them and throw them under the bus.
I have a son in law enforcement and on a stop, he was shot. He shot back and killed one and injured the other. When I got to the hospital, the place was storming with law enforcement. I was stunned and angry that everyone I heard talking was saying “thank God they weren’t black”. I said so what if they were, they shot my son. It was just understood by all that if they were black, there would be chaos. The establishment (media, education, politicians) is creating this special class who seem to be getting away with anything. If they wanted to stop this crap, they could, but it would take tough love and they’re either too cowardly and/or it’s serving their purposes.
As I’ve told many of my law enforcement customers during the covid debacle, you better walk lightly in how you treat people. Mary- many people, including myself, have lost respect for the police as a result of their behavior during the Covid Lockdown. If you don’t live in a Blue Slave State, then maybe you’ve seen the videos of people being arrested for not wearing a mask or social distancing properly, or even trying to reopen their business.
There was one incident in NYC that was especially horrible where the cops took down a woman with a child as she was leaving the subway. It was 6 cops with guns and badges vs. a mom who was crying and screaming trying to protect her kid.
These Blue State LEOs have become a veritable Gestapo that enforces the illegal and unconstitutional decrees of rogue governors like Cuomo. Just like the ones that stood by and watched a man get murdered on nationwide tv, they refuse to take a stand and do the right thing. Instead they are armed bullies who get to harass their neighbors for not obeying the insane orders of a tyrannical governor.
In the Westchester suburbs, I personally have been hassled by the local cops while walking in the riverfront park with my granddaughters. The way they treat law abiding citizens is unbelievable.
As far as the riots- they have nothing to do with the Lockdown and our loss of freedom and liberty. People like me and the other law abiding citizens who are being abused by our Government would NEVER do such a thing as we abhor violence and mob rule.
So why the he’ll don’t the police do their jobs and arrest the actual CRIMINALS instead of going after innocent people? It’s so much easier to take out an unarmed woman than deal with the riotous thugs that are burning down our Country.

Seneca the Elder I tried to ignore your rant, but in the end, I couldn’t. You say YOU are “losing respect” for law enforcement officers because they are going to work doing what their superiors tell them to do? Did it ever occur to you that they may have no choice?

The vast majority of police offices are young, with families, mortgages, car payments, etc. They aren’t in any position to refuse to follow orders or challenge their bosses. If they are fired, there is very little chance they will be hired by another agency. Police departments are mostly run by mayors and city council’s. The voters in any area are responsible for electing people that understand the role of police officers, and will let them do the job they are trained to do without political interference.

Your sympathetic portrait of the woman being arrested, contrasted with your description of the police officer as an unfeeling, hostile bad guy, made me sick. All of us here at CTH know how phony the covid19 shutdown is, but all that officer was doing was following the orders his superiors gave him, hoping he could get through his shift and go home.

Salaries for police officers in a medium-large city range from $40,000 to $60,000/year, before taxes. With a bachelor’s degree, it may go to about $72,000. Not a lot for risking your life every day, but there’s a career path & retirement so not a bad job for a young man/woman with a small family. Not much incentive to be idealistic and challenge your boss’s politics. Anyway, I’ve got your number now, so will keep it in mind from now on.
