AG Barr Appoints West Texas U.S. Attorney to Support Durham Investigation – Review Unmasking Before and After 2016 Election…

John Bash, the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Texas, has been assigned to assist USAO John Durham in the investigation of corrupt and malign activity by former USIC,  DOJ and FBI officials.  USAO Bash is in addition to USAO Jeff Jensen who is reviewing activity specifically as it pertains to General Michael Flynn.

John Bash is assigned to review the scale and severity of overall Obama-era unmasking to identify if laws were broken, and or if downstream leakers can be identified.

Tonight Sean Hannity invites Justice Dept. Spokesperson Kerri Kupec onto his television show so she could listen to him talk about it.  Within the interview: “the attorney general determined that certain aspects of unmasking needed to be reviewed separately as a support to John Durham’s investigation,” Ms. Kupec said. Declas has forced this, and little else. I have greater concern for what the Left is getting away with outside of DC.

Adding personnel to the examination of the bed of snakes in DC is wholly dependent on November, results-wise. I doubt media will change their tune, even if some of their own are locked up.

Taking schizoid’s lead… So Kupec says “we know unmasking inherently isn’t wrong”. Uh huh. Let’s just change the wording to “we know shooting someone inherently isn’t wrong”. Who would say the latter so cavalierly? Sure, technically both are true, but again there has to be a REALLY good reason in both cases.

That’s a good catch. If it weren’t inherently wrong, there wouldn’t be an extensive procedure with threats of criminal prosecution in order to do it. That’s because it is inherently wrong, but is sometimes necessary. Obama perverted “sometimes” to create a rubber stamp process that allowed him to spy on Americans.

Barr wants FISA, but he probably won’t get FISA until the people who abused it start going to prison for a long time.

She very specifically stated that “the frequency, motivation, and reasoning behind unmasking can be problematic”. She also stated, twice, that “who was unmasking whom” is a consideration. And, of course, it’s in connection to Durham’s criminal investigation.

Apparently there is no very good reason known, at least so far. So what’s with comparing (criticizing) what she said to shooting someone?

The talking point heard ad nauseam is that “unmasking isn’t illegal” or “isn’t wrong”. The point is that the seriousness of unmasking and violating the fourth amendment should be sacrosanct, perhaps not as serious as the right to life (murder), but a bit of hyperbole is utilized here to help us recognize the language people use. Shooting someone is “legal” and sometimes even “right” but only under extremely rare circumstances. The same should be true of unmasking. Yes, she did mention frequency and motivation, but I wish folks would be less cavalier with their general statements.

Lt.Gen Flynn is our example of the injustice of accusing someone of a crime when there was nothing illegal about his conversation with Kislyak. It would be an injustice now to prosecute those who legally just requested that his name be unmasked. That’s because it wasn’t the unmasking that was illegal. It was what 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 of them did with it 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 his name was unmasked.

Now 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘷𝘦 been unmasked…and their “motivation, and reasoning behind unmasking” is under scrutiny in a criminal investigation, as it should be.

So get Tom Fitton to FOIA the total number of unmaskings done by Obama from 2009-2016 and then compare that to the 8 years of Bush Jr., Clinton or even Reagan.

Let the facts speak for themselves.

By bet is during 2009-2016 100x more unmasking than thenothers.

Then if Barr would ever look at 2012-2016 NSA Contractors Spying and 2009-2012 Hammer Spying it would be more like IMO 10,000 times.

I repeat, who has as much HARD EVIDENCE of illegal spying done on Americans from 2009-2016 and doesn’t look back and conduct a deeper investigation?

    Who does that?

Those numbers are already known….but finding them on the internet now is a nogo.
This goes all the way back to Snowden, Unmasking exploded under Obama. Recall, Snowden knew what was going on under Bush and was alarmed by it, but held his tongue because he thought Obama would put a stop to it and instead he watched metastasize under Obama and he made his release.
If you read up on him, something else that few people know, Snowden took his leak to …Fox News, Wapo, NYT, CNN… all of who absolutely refused to even discuss the subject with him before he approached Glenn Greenwald. Remember that, the major American News outlets refused to even meet with someone who potentially had the biggest government corruption story of the decade.

I do know it was a 300% increase in unmaskings by Obama, and much of it after he changed the IC rules to disseminate that information more widely across agencies. It was all part of a scheme.

        • ms doodlebug says:

I don’t know about percentage of increase, but you are absolutely right. Disseminating it across multiple agencies was part of his scheme. For one thing, the more people who get the information, the more people they tell, the more likely it will be ‘leaked’, and the more difficult it becomes to find out who ‘leaked’ it. It could be any one or more of hundreds.

Yeah, Lou Dobbs does the same thing. They talk over the top of people who are ten times smarter than they are.

Last night Tucker Carlson showed Andrew Ross-Sorkin tripping off the line at Joe Kernan. Absolutely hilarious.

Last week Neil Cavuto and Lou Dobbs both went berzerk over different topics. “Shelter in your cave” policy must be giving them bat crap fever…hee hee hee…

To Be Fair, John Bash Clerked for Justice Scalia in 2006 and Wife with Justice Kavanaugh and now with Texas AG Paxton. President Trump Appointee to US Attorney in Texas was also hired by Eric Holder’s DOJ in 2012 serving as an Assistant to the Solicitor General in the United States Department of Justice until 2017, and argued Cases before the SCOTUS on Holder’s DOJ Routinely Backs Officers’ “Use of Force”!

Clearly, AG Barr wants an Honest Investigation and Evaluation as well as from someone that Lectures on how to make Oral Arguments before the Supreme Court. I respect John Bash will do a Proper Investigation on Unmasking while Durham and Jensen proceed on their other Investigations Pathways of Revelations as to what Happened.

Judge Sullivan’s Answer to DC Circuit Court Panel and The Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing all start in June and that will bring forth many questions, as to Answers if anyone will be held Accountable? While President Trump Veto on FISA Renewals is Stayed or Overruled as well. Plus, whether New ODNI Ratcliffe will disclose more SCCI Documents.

Everything is connected all before the Elections and Reforms are still the End Goal?

gda53, I get a kick out of how adamant some of these posters are about absolutely knowing what the outcome is going to be. Know one on this board knows what’s going to happen yet we are to believe that they somehow know, for sure. It’s one thing to have strong opinions, but to be absolute? I don’t know what’s going to happen and neither do they. Lets just see if these posters have the guts to show up if they are proven wrong. I kind of doubt it.

You need to post a picture of Durham on your refrigerator. That dude is scary and I don’t think for a moment that he is going to sweep anything under any rug. Like Grant, who refused to retreat, Durham will go unfettered where the evidence takes him. My guess is we see significant indictments and maybe the predicate for a subsequent Special Prosecutor that can look, post election, into the political mess that is the overall role of Obama and key White House aides (Ben Rhodes) and political appointees (Samantha Powers)

Durham IS a “special prosecutor”. If he recommends another special counsel that takes another 2-3 years we’ll know with absolute certainty that he’s dirty. And you’re judging his toughness off….a picture? Seriously?

Here’s one way to break it down. We all know Mitch is dirty. Mitch loves Barr which means Barr is dirty. Barr loves Durham which means Durham is dirty. It really is that simple. I’m absolutely stunned that so many people are falling for Barr’s con.

Must be finished before the elections. Must be. The Resistance will use the Covid confusion to throw the November elections into chaos. If they can’t steal votes by harvesting, mail fraud or computer hacking, they will file lawsuits in each state with a close vote tally that favors the President. They will attempt to prevent any Trump actions, including Supreme Court nominees, because the election “will be under investigations” for years to come. It’s coming. They will destroy the Country to prevent another Trump Supreme Court nomination.

I feel we already missed the timeline for that. Now anyone who is indicted will claim Trump is just using his office to eliminate his political opposition. Any trial will be delayed past the election and the corrupt media will use it against Trump. Many voters will believe it and vote against Trumps tyranny. I think Barr is well aware of this yet is moving at glacier speed. If this goes past the election there is no justice. Mueller hid it for the midterms and Barr is hiding it for 2020.

The only way it works is to get convictions or someone like a John Dean who spills the beans publicly.

The Bondo con rolls on. Notice how all these attorneys that are supposedly investigating the deep state all appear to be conservatives(Huber, Bash) or someone who has stood up to the government in the past (Durham, Jensen)? Yet when it comes time to expose the fraud NONE of them do a thing. I mean, Huber tried to tell us that the Clinton Foundation was clean. LOL Barr is a total slimeball but you have to give him some credit, he’s REALLY good at being one.

Also, what ever happened to his supposed investigation of Epstein’s death? That story just….vanished. I’ve been saying it for almost a year now, do…not…trust…Barr.

Hey Jeffsn4 – appreciate recognizing FUBarr 1 year ago, but this swamp monster has been around a long time – He started in GHW Bush CIA before Ruby Ridge, Iran Contra.
AG FUBarr is the best to cover for all these spy vs spy m-peach-mint criminals.
FUBarr was GHW Bush IRAN CONTRA cover AG – while Reagan ate jelly beans.
Reed’s book – “Compromised – Clinton, Bush & the CIA” – ID’d FUBarr had practice
to cover & protect all the deep state criminals. No politician prosecuted @ MENA.
Now FUBarr’s DOJ slow walks it all. Nothing to see here folks!
      So “fuhgeddaboudit”.
Fighter Sidney Powell is blocked by FUBarr’s DOJ to free General Flynn.
Deep state “ball-of-worms” is too complex for Joe 6-pack to connect dots.
God Bless Trump trying to expose them all – too many criminals to catch.
The election clock runs down – no charges – spying continues in the USA.
Where’s Rudy’s Ukrainian charges on crooked ole dementia Joe and Jr?
Sorry, too many political snakes to kill – they all go free!
      It’s a travesty – Think about it!
Wake me up after the 1st spy gets prosecuted in a DC court.
I wish and hope they ALL get convicted before we check out.
