DNI Ric Grenell Declassifying Flynn-Kislyak Transcripts: “The IC doesn’t have all the transcripts/summaries….it wasn’t our product”…

Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard “Ric” Grenell announced today he is in the process of declassifying the transcripts of the calls between Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak and former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

Within a twitter response by Grenell, part of the riddle behind the transcripts gets a little more clarity: “The IC doesn’t have all the transcripts/summaries…. it wasn’t our product.”

The implication here is the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) did not generate one of the transcripts; that evolved into an FBI equity, and was later used in their case against Lt. General Michael Flynn. The December 29, 2016, intercept was not exclusive to the U.S. intelligence apparatus, and the call summary became proprietary to the FBI; the agency exploiting the underlying content.

This makes sense and explains how the FBI was able to manipulate the framework of the call and keep the remaining U.S. intelligence system away from their internal plan.

There was more than one phone call and conversation between Flynn and Kislyak.  Some immediately after the election and in/around mid-December 2016.  Reports of those contacts and communications WERE in the U.S. IC network and those reports led to unmasking requests.  However, the specific December 29th communication was not an exclusive intercept of the U.S. intelligence community and therefore easier for the FBI to shape.

When Susan Rice, and now all of the downstream politicians, are requesting the release of the Flynn-Kislyak transcripts, those specific demands do not encompass the Dec.29th call; and it appears from the political narrative being assembled, the democrats do not necessarily expect DNI Grenell to be able to release the transcript of that specific call.

Example:

DNI Ric Grenell is signaling that he intends to release all the call transcripts not just the ones obtained by U.S. intelligence intercepts.

The “CR cuts” are summaries of the intercepted communication and therefore subject to being manipulated or shaped by the FBI official doing the summary.  The call summary is subject to interpretation and shaping much like a 302 report would be.  However, Grenell doesn’t just want to release the FBI summary, he wants to release the full transcript.

This approach by Grenell seems to confirm what we have been assembling about the transcripts, the “CR cuts”, and how the FBI used them.

There are intercepted communications between Flynn-Kislyak that were part of the ongoing FBI investigation of Flynn and monitoring of Russian interests.  Those intercepts became reports, and within those reports Flynn was masked; and later unmasked by political operatives.

However, the specific December 29, 2016, call while Flynn was in the Dominican Republic was a third party intelligence intercept; transferred to the FBI exclusively as part of their counterintelligence operation.  That 12/29/16 intercept generated proprietary FBI “CR cuts” or summaries of that intercepted communication specific to the FBI investigation.  That call content remained outside the larger intelligence community.  Hence Grenell saying: “The IC doesn’t have all the transcripts/summaries…. it wasn’t our product.”

But Grenell is working to bring that specific FBI equity (call transcript) into the IC and release it -in total- along with all other transcripts that were already within the control of the IC; thus Grenell gives an honest presentation of the totality of the contact, not just the parts that have been manipulated and shaped by officials in their targeting of Flynn.

Combine what Grenell is doing along with the announcement by FBI Director Chris Wray today, to review FBI action in the Flynn investigation, and a more fulsome picture emerges.

As many have long suspected the FBI shaped the December 29, 2016, call content; the FBI biased interpretation of what took place on that call; specifically to target Flynn.  They were able to do this, in part, because they exclusively held the evidence they were shaping.

With U.S. Attorney Jeff Jensen now reviewing the background evidence, and with DNI Ric Grenell declassifying and releasing the underlying documents, the truth is being pushed to the surface….

Slick Ric Grennell is doing what Durham should be doing. Divide and conquer. Slick Ric is driving a wedge between Comey and the white house. And the media will immediately take Obama side and throw Comey to the wolves. Comey probably knew this day may come. Now it’s in Chris wrays interest to throw Comey to the wolves. Wray wants to keep fisa and 302s. Comey is a threat. He has outlived his usefulness. The country can tolerate a “rogue FBI director”. They will not go after our first Kenyan president. Watch the nyt and wapo. When they go after Comey it will get real….

Future statement by Christopher Wray, dated 10/20/20:

“After thorough review of the Crossfire Razor investigation, we have determined that Comey and his loyal associates in the FBI all did everything “by the book”, just like Obama wanted. And that none of this was at the direction of Obama or Lynch or Rice. We have also determined that there is not even one example of any kind of political bias in the investigation, and every action Comey, Brennan and Clapper took to prosecute Flynn was legally predicated. Given that our main objective in this matter is to bring justice to the angry citizens of this country, we are recommending that the DOJ take no further action.”

What intel? Obama ejected the diplomats to get Kislyak to call Flynn, and timed it for Flynn’s vacation to the Dominican Republic. Any intelligence revealed will be debatable, and CNN will happily debate it in their non-debate style of debating the facts.

It was December 29 that Obama announced publicly the expulsions and closing of Russian diplomatic facilities in the US. The timing of the call, who initiated it, and the time of the Obama announcement need to placed into context. The substance of the call will go a long way towards showing what a thin reed this entire investigation rested on.

We’re rapidly moving into the Orwellian world where truth is purely subjective, and what happened is whatever the government officials say happened. Judge Sullivan, the government official, clearly subscribes to that definition of reality. Evidence, like audiotapes or transcripts, will soon be trivia.

What matters is to be in the good graces of the State: to have a good social credit score. Which is, by the way, the system China has just adopted. Which is, by the way, the paradigm the Democrats want to adopt.

Innocent until proven guilty is on the critical list. They won’t tolerate that insult to the State much longer. And what Flynn did – pleading guilty then trying to withdraw it – is spitting in the eye of the Left’s God, named Government.

I actually think we’re going to see that Flynn’s conversations with Kislyak were totally appropriate for his role as incoming NSA. We’re probably also going to read that he communicated things that made it clear that Obama’s policies had an expiration date. (That’s probably what pissed off the Obama sycophants.)

I also think that what I’ve been saying elsewhere is probably true: whoever wrote the “summary” manipulated the transcript in some way. Kind of like how the FBI modified their 302. Since nobody has actually seen it, the FBI could claim whatever they wanted. If the transcript/summary were actually material and helped the government’s case, it would have been printed word for word in the NYT and presented to Flynn and his lawyers already.

Don’t get fooled by all the smoke and mirrors, and the diversionary actions/yactics of the coup plotters/sympathisers. If the call had been bad for Flynn, then:-

        (i) the FBI would not, on 4th January, have been wanting to close the investigation on Flynn, becuase they had not found any derogatory information/evidence; and
(ii) it would have been set out in the Mueller report, as evidence with which to hit Trump and the Russia collusion/conspiracy; and
(iii) it would have been released by the DOJ when Ms. Powell was pushing for documentation.

It is almost certainly the case, that the call was entirely appropriate, and Flynn acted properly in the best interests of America.

Was Flynn under an FBI criminal investigation parallel to a counter-intelligence investigation? If so, that would make sense the 29th call transcript not being an intelligence product as that would be a domestic criminal investigation under the purview of the FBI. BUT…….

If Flynn was in the Dominican Republic at the time of the call, that is outside the United States, and that would fall under the purview of the CIA. Did Brennan, bring this transcribes back to Obama or Clapper? IC includes the FBI and CIA. So, GCHQ to Brennan.

IMHO, One more significant problem for the crooked judge, and his band of merry clerks and lawfare hangers-on, is sullivan’s ethical failure to confirm ‘materiality’ of the Flynn plea, after sullivan unethically denounced General Flynn as a traitor and proposed a treason prosecution. sullivan admitted on the written record, that he actually had questions about ‘materiality’, so knew he violated his judicial ethical obligations.
These ‘materiality’ questions were required to be asked of the DOJ/FBI prosecution, because the answers were unknown to General Flynn. Had the required ‘materiality’ issie been investigated, the whole corrupt scheme would have been exploded right then.
Extreme judicial ethical failure issue, waiting for sullivan in the wings….

    B) their own monitoring of Kislyak knowing the expulsion of the diplomats would trigger the 29th call?

Sundance, is it A or B

If they the FBI did get removed by Grenell from spy work the the CR cuts just ended. But the whole access to the database should be shutdown because, apparently, many, many people have access to it.

Per McCarthy, the FBI can intercept the phone call of an American (on the auspices of intercepting a foreigner) and not minimize the identity of the American, 4th amendment rights be dammed. And pass the darn thing all around the Government and the media. Is this distinction between the transcripts as an “FBI product”, and the latest round of articles citing an anonymous WaPo “sources say” that “Flynn was never masked to begin with”, a potential part of the effort to construct deniability/scapegoat Comey as “acting rogue” when he was acting “tasked” by Obama to spy on Flynn?

Something seems very fishy about Rice and DNI wanting to release the transcripts at the same time. I can’t help but think the endgame is to scapegoat Comey, defend Obama.

How much would it really matter if the FBI and IC produced two identical products (ie transcripts) of the same call? Does it matter if the FBI leaked their proprietary product, compared to leaking an “unmasked” name from a standard FISA collection product — when both transcribed the same call?

If Flynn were “never masked to begin with”, why did so many people (including Biden and Powers) request that Flynn be unmasked? Were they also set up to create deniability for Obama?

The FIB swamp would have been drained from the likes of Comey, Lias Page, Peter Strozk, Baker, etc. without this whole Mule-err investigation façade?

I am having a feeling that the answer might be “NO” to my questions.

I am also having another question – General Flynn is portrayed as the man who knew where bodies are buried. Now how in the world, a man who does spying for living, will not be aware that his phone calls to Russian Amb. would not have been recorded?

I see only two answers to that last question – General Flynn was a bait by President Trump and he willingly fall on his sword so that eventually sunlight is shed OR, General Flynn – the legend, is a myth and he had no clue that his conversation with Russian Amb.is recorded.

If the second part is true then that may explain why he chose Covington as his first attorneys, unless, again hiring Ms. Powell was again going to be the ultimate goal to shed the sunlight on all the corruption going on in D.C. This though seems more like twisting ourselves into pretzel to eventually see what we want to see.

Given the extreme slowness of government actions, obtaining and transmitting a spy-call recording from the brits to comey in just a few days, between governments, seems remarkable.

IIRC, it is taking several years for the government to process hillary’s emails, just a few at a time, according to sworn FOIA case representations. It takes 2 years to investigate fake FISA Warrants. And years to produce records in the Flynn case. It took several weeks just to write the ‘302 form about the FBI attack interview of General Flynn.

And they got the British government and spy agency at very high levels to agree to spy on incoming PDJT advisor Flynn, record his phone conversation from a foreign location, transcribe it, approve it internally in the british bureaucracy, and then get it to comey, who then gave it to clapper, all in just a few days? With all the ‘clearances’ and approvals?

Maybe they could process the FOIA and Brady material productions faster !!!

Isn’t it convenient that Gen. Flynn was in the Dominican Republic and Kislyak was likely in Moscow on December 29, 2016. If either had been in the USA, our IC would likely have intercepted the call and NSA and ?renell would have the transcript/summary. Apparently we are relying for the transcript on a Five Eye partner. That is rather convenient for the Comey FBI. They were the only member of the US IC who had access to the transcript/summary. Of course we all know that the Comey FBI would never manipulate a transcript/summary for political purposes.

Why did the call occur on December 29, 2016? Obama chose that day to toss 35 Russian diplomats out of the USA. Obama knew that doing so would likely trigger a call from Kislyak to Flynn. How convenient that Flynn just happened to be out of the USA at that time. Was it intentional? Why would Obama wait until December 29, 2016 to punish Russia for their “election interference.” Did Obama intentionally wait until Flynn was out of the country?

Does Susan Rice want this transcript released because it will make Comey look bad and therefore protect Obama?
