Wow, Good News – Latest COVID-19 Projections Show Peak on Saturday, and Total Deaths 60,000 (Same As 2017/2018 Flu Season)…

There was another stunning drop in projections by the IHME model; the current model being used by U.S. government officials on the coronavirus task force. [Model Here]

According to the latest projections the peak of U.S. coronavirus impact will take place on Saturday April 11th, ironically the day before Easter Sunday.

Additionally, the total projected number of COVID-19 related deaths has been dropped to 60,000.  That’s the same impact as the regular 2017/2018 flu season.

First off IMO we will not reach 60K deaths unless they are counting for 2 years.

But what is most disgusting to me is…..

Most likely at least 50% of whatever the final Death count are will be fraudulent IMO

    Think about it ………

If you die for whatever reason with a fever – You are recoded as a COVID death

If you die for whatever reason with a cough – You are recorded as a COVID death

If you die for whatever reason with pressure in your chest – You are recorded as a COVID death.

This fraud to help reach higher numbers because their projections were all about the narrative and fear mongering and now they need to get as many recorded COVID deaths as possible to be not totally laughed out of government.

It truly is disgusting and I’m shocked PT goes along with this.

There are going to be a LOT of after effects of this virus, we can already foresee.
Broadly, its obvious that if this had been a “Contagion” kind of pandemic, humanity would be wiped out, as responce way too slow and inept.

Specifically, even if we give the experts the benefit of the doubt, THEY figured “count any death as from Virus, to “be on the safe side, cause what could it hurt!”

Assuming they had ‘pure’ motives, they saw the danger in under-reporting, but didn’t recognise the danger of OVER-REPORTING.

This is just one of MANY things that will be reexamined in the light of this fiasco.

For instance WHO is supposed to be monitoring, LOOKING for and giving early alarm when there is a new Pandemic, and they are obviously corrupted by CHI-NA.

CHI-NA must be so thoroughly punished for covering up, that no country EVER thinks of doing it, again.

I doubt it could ever be proved they deliberately released it, but there is NO question they covered it up.

This debacle gives PDJT public opinion, world opinion on his side, to make CHI-NA pay, and I have no doubt he will.

The mechanism for developing tests is NOT new; it should be clear now that tests thatgive rapid results, and detirmine if someone has it (nasal swab) and has had it and so is immune (antibody test) have to be able to be quickly produced and distributed in large quantities.

That this late in, Dr birx was telling labs around the country that had abbott machines to get them out and bring them online,…in the daily task force briefing was,…pitiful.

Just as they have set up a military style logistics operation for ppe and ventilators, they need to know what the testing capacity is, and WHERE it is, at the outset.

So, I look at this as a good “practice” to know that our plans were totally inadequate to the task, and again, if this virus had been a real killer virus, mankind would be wiped out, while Fauci was still debating double blind, controlled studies.

I do believe there is guidance in the guidelines, that includes NOT using derogatory terms, and to avoid abreviations in the interest of CLARITY, but I have been commenting here for over 2 years, and have never to my knowledge been sighted by Sundance or Adrem for violating the guidelines.

Our intelligence services apparently knew that there was a virus afoot in China as early as late November. The CDC and NHC probably knew about this in December and the NSC had the information in late December or early January. They looked at the numbers and assumed it was just another flu bug; which it is proving to be. So, nothing major was done.

Then the media began hyping it as the end of the world. And hyping and hyping and hyping. So, to get ahead of the negative mews curve, Trump acts. And, incredibly the rest of the world begins to close down their societies and economies. None of which was indicated by the infection and fatality rate, which is little greater than that in a seasonal flu outbreak, Then the government’s medical advisors embark on a program of incarcerating nearly the entire population of the US and destroying its revitalized economy. Bogus studies and information is generated to maintain the fiction that COVID-19 is truly dangerous. And, as the smoke clears what we are finding out is that the initial assessments were probably accurate. COVID is only lightly more dangerous than the common strains of influenza, which killlo from 15,000 to 85,000 people every single year in the US.

Now I have to say this about social distancing being responsible for mitigating the effects of COVID. We have no idea if this is true ir not. No control group has been set up, outside if Sweden, which has not seen an apocalyptic outbreak of the disease.

        • Dutchman says:

So, is THAT the message PDJT wants to try to send? “I was CONNED! We were ALL conned, and NONE of this was neccesary!”?

          I don’t THINK so! How about this;
“Under budget, and ahead of schedule, thats me! The #’s are less than projected, less per capita than Italy or Spain, because I shut down travel early, because of the phenominal work of the Corona virus task force, the logistics they put in place, the wonderful responce of the private sector, and the American people!

And now lets PAR-TEE! Open it back up, and lets ROCK!”

He’s an upbeat guy, ALWAYS. I do think this virus is unique in several ways: Because with the flu, you are in bed or hugging a toilet w/in 24 hrs of infection, you ARE not continueing to infect others, for 14 days. And you are NOT asymptomatic, never having ANY symptoms, as you go around like a typhoid mary for perhaps up to 3 weeks.
It is PRIMARILY this unique quality I think, that enables it to overwhelm hospitals and hospital systems in an entire geographic area.

If an area gets the same # of patients as a normal flu season, but compressed into say,…1/2 the time, the hospitals WILL become overwhelmed.

Additionally, there early indications that what it does to the lungs is NOT ARDS, (acute respiratory distress syndrome) which IS,what happens to those who succumb to flu.
It is appearing it MAY be causing true hypoxia, or lack of oxygen at the cellular level, which explains both the other organ and systemic failure, and why ventilators don’t help that much.

However, another message this sends; those countries where such overwhelming occurred have SOCIALISED medicine, much like what Dems are championing.

This IS a unique virus, with unique qualities. It certainly tested our pandemic responce system, worldwide, and found it wanting.

If it had been a killer, we would all be dead by now, while the Dr fauci’s were doing double blind placebo controlled efficacy studies on,….who? Rats I guess, cause he would have no victims left to test.

I suspect PDJT will allow him and Birx to take there bows, and then after being lauded as heros,…after the election he will gratefully and grasciously accept their resignations.

We deserve it. We have a right to see individual politicians and areas named. This can never happen again under any President.

Doctors and other medical professionals are usually in the profession, to some extent, to save lives and help with the quality of life, and for that noble endeavor, I applaud them, but, we can never forget they’re human beings too, and can succumb to ideology, greed and corruption as well

In a situation such as we have with the virus, it’s crucial that our medical community is on the up and up with no other agenda but to heal and fix the problem. The weight of peoples livelihoods, quality of life and futures demand no less

Any medical professional found to be corrupt needs to have the harshest consequences brought upon them

    There is no excuse

    • thedoc00 says:

You used a key word worth focusing upon, “profession” and there are distinct parts of that profession that needs to be examined.

There are those in the midst of the problem practicing medicine, who give a perspective they can see in the location where they are working. I agree with you, those folks are the heroes and also deserve a pass for the perspective to respond in a manner that focuses on “saving” lives. After all that is the goal of those actually practicing medicine.

Then there are those who set policy, do research and in essence provide the guidelines for action to be followed by the those actually practicing medicine. It is the key leadership of this segment of the medical and health services profession that caused the damage and deserve NO FREE PASS nor special considerations. This segment of the profession is subject to politics, professional jealousy and arrogance due to title or position. This is the part of the profession where the leaders of the CDC and WHO reside that have caused allot of damage to saitfy the arrogant feeling of importance or for political gain.

Yes, by all means lets have an examination of how CV-19 was handled but be sure separate out the examination into its proper set of varied contexts.

Probably the worst part of this fiasco is that there are some very bad people watching it his whole thing play out.
There are lots of people who believe NBC warfare is an easy way to bring us down.
New York has soaked up Federal Emergency Management money and claimed that they were prepared for the worst. Turns out that money was going into politicians pockets.
The next virus or plague that is introduced to this country will make CV19 look like the common cold.
And there are people working to make it happen.

NJ is getting even more restrictions from Governor Murphy now! He extended the stay home order by another month into May! Now within this last hour, he directed that ALL Construction work cease tonight until further notice!

This is going to kill me because since I was getting ready for the summer vacation rental season which may not even happen now! I had a construction company removing all exterior trim to replace with PVC trim and replace any broken cedar siding damaged by Hurricane Sandy! The insurance company refused to pay any Homeowner’s Insurance claim, after they made a mistake! Now I am stuck with half the trim ripped off and no weather barrier on the exposed plywood/OSB Board for who knows how long!!!

The summer is when we make the rental money to be able to pay the mortgages and property taxes for the year! Doubt there will be any programs for us which means many homes will go into foreclosure here at the Jersey Shore! I just continue to have such bad luck! I hate Nazi Jersey!

Well if Murphy is going to extend then we know that Cuomo will be doing the same thing. I don’t know about anyone else here but this house arrest thing is really getting to me already, I can’t imagine another month. I also have an essential business that is going no where and I am in a group that isn’t eligible for any help.

The peak already hit, or we are technically at peak, and deaths are unlikely to break 25-30K unless counted over a 15-month span. We’re in mop up mode. The data lags by about a week based on everything I’ve read.

Think about it…we’re at 14,000 at the END of geometric growth.

Pres Trump can now credibly claim to have saved 2.18M American lives. Only the most bitter, hateful, sack of excrement Liberals will vote against him.

OBTW, the Dow was over 23,000 today.

What is the duration time line for that total number of 60k deaths projected? Some chicken littles prefer to panic and will say There have never been 60,000 deaths from the Flu in the USA…in ONE MONTH!

  41. AndrewJackson says:

Guys, this virus is a hoax beyond all our imaginations. Is it dangerous to 80 year olds with underlying conditions? Sure. Is it dangerous to the general population, absolutely NOT! Here is the proof with sources!

    US Under 65 Population – 84%
    US Under 65 Covid Death – 22.5%
Total US Deaths Today – 14,604
Total US Population – 327 million.

    Under 65 Population Death Rate Per 10K People – 22.5%*14,604 / (327 Million * 84%) * 10,000 = 0.119.
Even if there were 100X the deaths, we would still be looking at 11.9/10K people.

Under 55 Population Death Rate Per 10K People = 0.059. If deaths were 100X what they are, the death rate would be 5.9/10K people.

  42. Tl Howard says:

Sundance, sorry, but I feel you often try to minimize the virulence and the contagiousness of this virus by always comparing it to “the flu,”

Apples and oranges again. Imagine the effect that such a national/state/local responses as “shelter in place” in virtually all the states to one degree or another would have had on “the flu.” The numbers would NOT similar at all.

    • Tl Howard says:

Because I just read this Steve Sailer piece a few hours ago, I’m including it here since it touches on the topic of a town’s deaths in 2019 v. 2020:

    • hokkoda says:

If the states hadn’t gone into lockdown, we’d be looking at maybe 50% more fatalities…but still well below all of the worst case projections. Just like during flu season, people would be more careful…on their own.

The only people who ever needed any kind of stay at home is people over 65 and people with severe comorbidities.

Give everyone over 65 or whoever actually medically needs one a red carnation to voluntarily wear. The carnation just means step back and priority in lines. Everyone else could go back to work tomorrow.

Huge over reaction. No, it’s not the flu. No, it’s also not the plague. Not even close.

    • Max says:

Remember something about the “flu”. We have both prophylactics and therapeutic treatments for most strains of influenza. Vaccines for influenza are from 25-40% effective and we still have over 4 million cases a year in the US and the number of deaths ranges from 15,000 to 65,000 every single year. We have no vaccine and no proven therapeutic treatment for COVID and we still only have about half the deaths we have had from the flu this year.

Remember the joke about the man standing in Times Square wearing an elephant hair bracelet. Another man asks what the bracelet is for. The first man says it is to keep wild elephants away. The second man scoffs and says there are no wild elephants for 10,000 miles. The first man says, “See how ell it works?”. That is what is happening with claiming these stay home orders are reducing the effects of the virus. Now, maybe they are. Then again, maybe they aren’t.

      • Tl Howard says:

Thanks, Max. Yes, but the point is that 300+ million people have never separated themselves from one another as we have NOR have we ever exercised the simplest and most effective blunts to the spread of pathogens in our own homes. Were we to do this w/ our seasonal flus, those numbers of deaths and hospitalizations would look miniscule.

I just got done listening to an interview with one of the best epidemiologists in the world dr. Knut Wittitowski. He’s spent his whole 35 year career studying viruses. He says that the only thing that all of the mass quarantine and social distancing has done is just incubate the virus and delayed the end of it. The virus must be allowed to spread through the nonvunerable population so that herd immunity can be achieved. This is the way that all virus epidemics end (the common flu virus does it every flu season). The only people who should have been quarantined were the elderly and people who had compromised respitory health. But everyone should have allowed to go about their normal lives and get it and recover in order to develop immunity since they would show little to know symptoms. This is the only real way to stop the spread.

He said that the reason flu season always starts in March is that we are transitioning from winter to spring and everyone is moving from spending all their time indoors- which incubates the flu virus- to spending more time outdoors and around each other thereby spreading the flu and then recovering from thereby creating herd immunity against it. This happens every year.

My fear is that as soon as the mass quarantine is lifted and things go back to normal that new cases will inevitably spike since the virus will be back to following it natural course (a necessary step that needs to happen in order to get to herd immunity so that spread can really end) that the deep state will then use it as another crises of opportunity and order another draconian lockdown that will involve more and longer totalitarian measures. They will then say that Trump is to blame for having to take these steps because he mishandled things to begin with.
