Tucker Carlson Questions Government Decisions Using Flawed Statistical Models…

Earlier this evening on Fox News, Tucker Carlson outlined a disconnect between dire national health models that predicted mass deaths and a reality not close to predictions.

[Review IHME Coronavirus Model HERE]

As Carlson notes there are few professionals explaining why there is such a significant difference. Additionally, if we have shut down our economy based on models that were incorrect, well, when are we going to re-open our economy? Lots of questions… and unfortunately no-one seems to be allowed to ask them.

.

In the final analysis this crisis is going to come down to a very tribal set of decisions about when to re-engage the operations of U.S. society. Additionally, what changes and rules will be instituted as a result of some areas wanting to re-open, while others demand the continuance of an extended shut-down.

Red states -vs- Blue states. Urban -vs- Rural. Tribalism making the rules for those within specific geographic boundaries. That part of post COVID-19 panic is inherently predictable.

However, the disparity will need to be reconciled; and for that solution the Administrative State will likely demand the application of science as a solution. We can already hear these arguments within the discussions.  Totalitarianism always shifts the discussion to science when disconcerting conversations are unavoidable. [See the Fabians]

The solution will be a COVID-19 vaccine; and to re-enter a full society everyone will be expected to get vaccinated to secure all other members of society. However, given the pesky issues with liberty, a mandated vaccine protocol will probably not pass muster.

Therefore those who wish to have unrestricted access to the entire country will be those who accept the vaccine. Those who do not accept the vaccine will have less choices.

Again, the solution returns to this outlook.

If you accept the vaccine, the state will register your compliance. Or not; it will be your choice. However, your access to society will also be based on your decision.

That’s what is coming at the end of this…

Choose wisely.

.

If you wish to cross between boundary zones you will need to carry a “vaccination passport” as outlined by State Advisory Minister Bill Gates.

There is no cause for alarm.

All of the best citizens will be doing it.

Your vaccination passport will allow you free travel throughout the U.S.

Mysterious no vaccine before the election. Don’t think so. there has never been a Corona Virus of any concoction they have discovered and create a Working vaccine. Holy cow the ones they make now, have never every worked because they can’t predict the outbreak.

          SARS no vaccine
          MERS no Vaccine
          HIV. no vacine

Sars was in Wuhan same area, this virus has Sars in its name
FauxChi and BiRX all worked on HIV, all promised a vaccine. NOPE, didn’t happen. And the way they went about it probably caused lots of death. We didn’t shut the country down for that and at one Time they claimed you could get it by shaking hands,

If the Doctor from New York who claims it looks like altitude sickness is correct. Well that connection leads to something known for a at least a few years.. I suggest you read this article, Its pretty documented, at is from 2018n no connection to current affairs.

          http://emftests.com/countless-studies-show-5g-frequencies-cause-illness/

And yes Wuhan is full blown operational

Verizon is offering some very high speeds 300-900 mps in certain cities and areas. Now to connect cities areas to known operational cities. SACramento does currently and they have a good size outbreak.

What did the doc say. Altitude Sickness, what was first reported as a sign to watch in elderly especially. Wear a finger oxygen sensor and at any sign of a oxygen levels dropping pay attention, if they really start to drop get thee to a hospital. So early on oxygen levels were noticed.

I quit getting any vaccines 10 years ago. Until 2019 hubby always got flu shots and at least 50% of the time got the flu afterwards. As for this CCP virus, I would trust an Israeli vaccine over anything from China but nothing connected to Bill Gates. If the above scenario does occur, I would foresee a loss of vitality in cities as liberty-loving people refuse to visit even for vacations much less work. Red states and areas would see increased interest and activity. This would be true all over the world if a patchwork of vaccination played out between highly populated red and less populated blue areas.

As for China, I honestly don’t give a flip what happens to it as long as we are insulated from it.

      • you mean like the vaccine for seasonal flu? you get the shot. you might not get the flu, then again you might. if you don’t get the flu, was it because you got a shot? maybe, maybe not. if you do get the flu, even though you got vaccinated, you’re told that there is a different strain this year. is this what kind of vaccine we need?

My apologies for re-posting. Bad form, I know, but to me, this bit of comedy (“It’s about truth, not facts – Michael Moore) is center stage on topic for this, and most everything else COVID-19 related, with all due respect to the even larger point being made by sundance in the core post.
          ————–
Another well compensated club member behind the curve, as usual. While an aggressive strategy to engage COVID-19 has placed all hands on deck in the fight for freedom and life itself, a new strain of the novel coronavirus has been identified, and the rate of infection for the mutation far surpasses the infection rates currently associated with the COVID-19 plandemic.

Data that tracks a new set of symptoms not consistent with the Wuhan Flu first emerged in New York and New Jersey about three weeks ago. With the media focus on the COVID-19 plandemic, almost no attention has been given to what appears to be a much more dangerous contagion, with the potential to incapacitate those affected at least as profoundly as the previously identified COVID-19, if not more so. The new contagion has actually spread at exponentially faster rates than has the Wuhan Flu, which was recently imported from China.

Information is scarce. Pending a formal announcement, sources have said the CDC has tagged this extremely viral contagion SKDRO-20, with the associated disease currently referred to as the Cuomovirus Flu, so named for the first outbreaks, which occurred in New York/New Jersey before rapidly spreading throughout the Nation. This new pandemic, what some have dubbed an anchormandemic, is spreading much more aggressively than the associated Wuhan virus, with potentially far more serious consequences for those infected.

          Get tested immediately for SKDRO-20.
Cuomovirus is highly contagious, and life threatening.

Yep. I think the Soviets had a name for that. Lysenkoism, which didn’t actually catch on until countless rubles were spent on a set of scientific principles which were dreamed up by its namesake, and immediately endorsed by the brain trust in Moscow as official policy, failed to produce any significant increase in the much needed crop yields that Lysenko confidently predicted would be forthcoming. He had the models to prove it too.

In the end, I think the science went something like,”Don’t argue with science…or policy, or else.”

Another case of “Don’t ask questions. We know what we’re doing.” ending up in the dust bin of famous last words.

Both Lysenko and Stalin ate quite well while the peasants continued to starve. Stalin, if I recall, decided at one point that it was time for the overworked Lysenko to take a long vacation, “and maybe you should go on a diet, too. You’re looking a bit pudgy.”

The bi-product of cancelling all elective surgeries has hit drs. & hospitals hard. Coronavirus patients never showed up. If everyone were smart, the drs. would get staff to call all their elective surgery people and line them back in for May. Even just office visits would be good.

Sadly, even if they were to call and invite people in to go ahead and have their surgeries, you might be surprised to find how many wouldn’t go.

Our upstairs air/heat unit went out at the end of summer last year and we didn’t have the funds to replace it. The kids were fine though through the winter because we had several space heaters (that and heat rises so most of our heat from downstairs went up). We ordered our new system 3 weeks ago and the guys installing said it would be at least 2 weeks before they could get it in, then that following Monday we were put on ‘stay home’ orders here in NC.

I ended up getting it installed last week, a week ahead of schedule, thanks to the stay home order. The guy called and said that 98% of his appointments had cancelled and that as soon as they were done on the job they were in they could come straight here *IF* I wanted/was willing to let them keep working. I told them to come on being my husband and our oldest daughter both work in ‘vital’ services (her an accountant at a gas station/grill and him in the prison system) that if we were going to get it then we were meant to get it. They came and worked all day and came back the following day to finish up.

Even our son’s speech therapist kept coming up until our county had it’s first case and ended up coming each day for the entire week to take care of some appointments missed due to him being sick because all of her other patients were too scared to allow anyone in the house. Since we’ve had 3 cases in our county now, they’ve been forced to ‘try’ to do online speech therapy, which our 2 year old is only partially down with doing.

Bill – you are right. We are seeing this in NY which is or was the make believe epicenter of the Chi Com Flu.
Here’s another question- why aren’t any of the media sending crews of cameras and reporters to the actual hospitals that are supposedly so overwhelmed? Why aren’t we seeing daily LIVE reports that show what’s actually happening on the ground?
The answer is because reality has nothing to do with their BS narrative.
The hospitals are not in crisis, most are half empty. There are people on the ground with cameras, filming in NYC. Their videos show the reality which is that there’s really not much happening at the hospitals including the ones that supposedly couldn’t handle all the patients.
They are LYING to us. The Models are a lie. The numbers are exaggerated or false.

Its not a mandatory vaccine but you will starve to death or be forced hermit if you do not have one.

TBH I think that is what all the focus over a vaccine is. It is prep work for then as obviously its not a factor for now.

High up on both of my shoulders. Never again.

Obviously, gender doesn’t matter. It’s location, location, location.

You have absolutely no clue whatsoever.
This pandemic is nothing like the flu.
For a start the “flu” is caused by 4 different virions, not just 1 like COVID19.
Next when were Doctors and nurses being killed by the flu all over Asia, Europe and the US?
Since when did the flu directly attack the lungs giving you “ground glass” lungs when xrayed?
Since when did the flu cause over 1000 deaths a day in the US when there was a lockdown and social distancing in place?
In fact when did they even consider it necessary to have a lockdown and social distancing all over Europe and the US for the flu?
When did the flu totally overwhelm health care systems in Europe and the USA within 1 month of the exponential curve starting?
Take a look at the worldometer Coronavirus website here to see the curves for yourself.

      https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

Please do not mention Sweden as an example of what the USA should be doing, their whole population is hardly more than New York City’s, their population denisty is only 24 people per square Km compared to the US 36 people per square Km.
But their capital city stockholm only has a population density of 4,800 people per square kilometer, compared to New York of 10,194 per square Km.

While at the worldometers site check out Czechia where they wear home made face masks.

And that was the H1N1 virus that is still alive, well, and active today, 11 years later. But of course it, as usual, has been morphing a wee bit every year. Around 50% of “Type A” has been H1N1 this season. (What? Did you think that H1N1 vaccine in 2009 was the cure?)
And what is the efficiency of the flu vaccine this year for all “Type A” ? Less than 50%.

Yup, let’s wait even 8 months for that expensive, patented vaccine for COVID-19, that’s the ticket! And just what do we think this country would look like in 8-16 months of shut down? We will be struggling in 8 months just trying to mitigate the damage to our country from the 4-8 week shut down that we are in currently.

The local workmen are already very restless and openly laughing at DeSantis and his Safer at Home b.s. People are ANGRY. Big Stupid Government has meddled in people’s private lives and ability to make a living. Willing, capable people are undeservedly being financially destroyed. Families are being ripped apart from elders in care homes. This HAS to stop.

I am restless myself and considering a 1983 action against the fedgov and state or maybe a habeas corpus, still checking into it, just to liberate my dad from the care home. He is INCARCERATED. He was not charged, tried, or convicted of anything, but yet he cannot leave an area on some idiot’s say so? He is not ill. He is not adjudged incompetent and is still capable of managing his living conditions and social interactions as he sees fit. He, a USAF vet from the Korean War, is a prisoner held unlawfully and against his will and against the will of his family. Let’s see “deprivation of civil rights under color of law” seems to fit this.

Just like the workmen and small business owners I speak with every day, my family is enraged. We’d like to hit a reset button that would echo through time and prevent this from EVER happening again on these shores.

I see it happening. Their schedules and routines are all messed up. Parents try to keep their child’s routine as normal as possible. It is IMPOSSIBLE! Parents who have diligently tried to limit screen time for their little ones so as not to interfere with their developing brains are having to put their children on computers to visit with their grandparents, play games or see the lessons their preschool teacher is doing with their friends who are still allowed to go to preschool because their parents are “essential workers”! I taught school for 35 years. I know what this is doing to these kids. I love the idea of homeschooling, but this is not homeschooling. This is chaos. Please pray for our children!

He is hard of hearing and mumbles so as not to speak too loudly, so I can’t hear him and he can’t hear me. I can’t see to his needs. I don’t know how he is doing.

My mom, his wife of 64 years, has not held her husband’s hand in over 4 weeks. She cannot comfort him. He gets no hugs, no comforting hand on his shoulder, nothing to soothe him at all.

He is clearly distressed and concerned for his wife. He is trying to hide it, but I can see that he is afraid. I can see his functioning going down day by day. These are days we will NEVER get back. There is no turning back the clock on dementia. There is no extending life to gain back the days you lost with your elders due to a HOAX!

We are indeed seeing tribalism in our body politic, Sundance. That, of course, doesn’t come as any great surprise to us here a the CTH given the obvious long-term objectives of the “progressive project” (h/t Victor Davis Hanson). Listening to Fauci attempt to sandbag the president on when we should re-connect American’s economic engines and return to our familiar everyday life is a good indication of the progressive mindset. But, as Tucker adroitly points out, the Deep State appratchicks crunched their numbers wrong—the doomsday predictions of tens of thousands of infections and deaths aren’t appearing, the navy hospital ship sits empty as does the emergency hospital set up in Central Park.

What if Tucker’s right and the world-ending mega virus turns out to be as much shuck-and-jive political theater as it is serious illness that makes people sick? What if it’s really just a particularly bad, dangerous for us old folks, influenza-like illness that has been intentionally hijacked by dishonest political hucksters? Tucker nails it – Critical Thinking (Tuckers strong suit) is NOT a Conspiracy Theory.

We do NOT need a vaccine to keep people “safe” when drugs are working – this is but another attempt to bring on forced vaccinations against the will of the American people, and in direct violation of the Constitution of the United States.

Vaccines have repeatedly proven to be more harmful than good – just look at the lawsuits or the damage done by the H1N1 vaccine (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vY11w5_0ar0&feature=emb_logo) . When people are forced against their will, then we will no longer have a Republic – we will have only tyranny. And I think the nation knows how Patriots react to tyranny!

This whole thing has turned into a slow-motion train-wreck. The dead-in-the-water Big Idea is globalism—the 3M interviews have exposed just how compromised American corporations are. The ideology supporting globalization is now effectively dead. Now that we’ve sampled what it might be like on a permanent basis, the “meaningful climate-change solutions” of the Green New Deal is every bit as dead as globalism. When people see what the reality of “commonsense sacrifice for the greater good” actually feels like, the appeal of making totalitarian mandated “sacrifices” to “save” the environment suddenly doesn’t seem so attractive. I mean, really, the Europeans are already happily forcing people to ask permission for traveling to other towns. That ain’t gonna’ fly here.

now I have heard a bunch of bull sh**t.. the R0 number is such..obtained From China..at the beginning… next we will get a better idea once we get some data…next … we won’t know what the R0 is up till the pandemic is over.. next ..the R0 is unique for every location…next The curve/R0 is calibrated on 100 percent of the public maintaining social distancing..next we only expected 50 percent compliance on social distancing.. this is pretty bad press for supposed professionals

When I started watching the data I thought that the deaths would be about 20,000… looks like some old engineers don’t need all the high cost expert Bullsh**t..

Our collective liberty is not uniformly defined. There exists those whose highest aspiration is to be indentured.

All of these mega-rich people that want to control the populations — would they each individually fund their own socialist system such that whomever they ‘provide for’ pledges some sort of ‘servitude’ in exchange, would that satisfy their need to be in power? Could several of these socialists systems exist side-by-side within our capitalist system such that:

-Each system is closed and funds whole life of participants.
-Each system is incorporated and as a whole thus have that one ‘corporate’ vote.
-Each system can devise their own digital currency for use within their system.
-Each system will pay the ‘credit card operating cost’ percentage as ‘taxes’ to the treasury, be that legally described as a fee, permit, license.

Those that are natural slaves and enjoy that type of life-style can have it. Those who think they’d like it — but after trying it out, find their individual liberty needs wanting — can always switch back over to the free-man capitalist system.

My family is going in search of a brave church that is open Easter Sunday. If we find one, we will worship there regardless of their denomination. If we don’t, we have hymns on our phones and Bibles and will worship outdoors in some public place. Hopefully, we will draw a crowd that seeks to worship freely as well. Like the “Walks” that started in Dresden, Germany, to halt unbridled third world immigration, maybe open-air churches will catch on like wildfire.

The six feet thing may not be perfectly valid, but the social distancing has clearly “worked”. It’s a truism that hunkered down people won’t infect or become infected. The Orthodox Jews in NY and Israel who refused to stop gathering have spurred infection hotspots. Mardi Gras in New Orleans begat a rise is hospitalizations. The questions are whether the number of immune people is large and when things can be loosened up – and under what conditions. We need to know the damn denominator.

Seems it would help if the efficacy of the HCQ-zinc cocktail was not being kept such a big secret. If it is relatively easily treatable, seems herd immunity would kick in at some time w/o a vaccination. It will not work for everybody but possibly for the vast majority. Anecdotal results make it sound like a miracle drug. Side effects, maybe, but once you have the virus and get over it you are immune, Again for some reason it is not being pursued aggressively. I suppose because there are trillions at stake and we ain’t part of the club.

When PDJT discussed the effects of CCPvirus on the African American community, the first question that came to my mind was whether they had the same access to the treatment. If not, problem solved. It’s a flu that is highly transmissible but also maybe easily treated. Heck, at this stage frontline doctors are still determining exactly how the virus attacks the body and now think ventilation is not such a good idea and patients should be oxygenated instead.

PDJT says we cannot allow the cure to be worse than the disease, I’ll take him at his word. If we don’t significantly open up the economy by the end of April, we may not have an economy to open. I have said before that it will be a tough, risky decision but Trump is the right person to have in the position to make the decision. The buck does stop with him. I don’t see him giving in to a pesky virus.

  29. Hi All

The update from London where I work is that new cases in the community have definitely peaked and seem to be on a decline. Our ‘Health Authority’ were gearing up for a very busy 2 weeks and had ordered us to cancel any statutory leave and also redeployed recently retired doctors as telephone triage personnel to man the phones via a central organisation (NHS111) and book appointments directly to GPs for Covid-19 patients.

Well I took a look at the source data for NHS 111 call volume for Covid-19 patients and also the public use of the NHS111 online triage tool. The source data is here:

    https://digital.nhs.uk/data-and-information/publications/statistical/mi-potential-covid-19-symptoms-reported-through-nhs-pathways-and-111-online/latest

The data shows that for my area, calls and use of online tool for Covid-19 have declined over the past 7-10 days. The Government will claim that the draconian lockdown measures caused this and it is likely that they did contribute. However, London hospital admissions started flatlining 5 days after the lockdown, when we would expect the effects of the lockdown to appear from 10 days after it first began.

I believe the epidemic is burning itself out in London. The lockdown is not that effective anyway because it is not isolating infected individuals from other members of their households.

By my calculations, the hospitalisation rate for the Wuhan virus is between 0.6% and 1.5% in London which is an order of magnitude less than that projected by public health officials everywhere (though still significantly higher than the flu). Unlike the flu, the Wuhan virus places a disproportionate burden on O2 facilities, ICU and ventilator facilities and younger patients (like our PM). I also believe that there will be significant health consequences for those that needed hospital.

    China must pay for this.

When listening to the covid press conference on the 6th it made my spidy sense go off the chart . The admiral was speaking about anti body tests that were being developed and would be available soon to be used for testing. In the tens of millions, but they had to determine the tests would be accurate. Now in order to keep others and yourselves safe, this vaccine would be a good tool in determining who had the virus or who was asymptomatic. A perfect test for someone who worked in an nursing home and may not had the virus but was asymptomatic and could give it to others. As he kept talking I heard the word surveillance several times. Intuitive take away was that in order to re-enter the workforce these tests would be necessary. Also a date of June 1st stands out I can’t be sure, was watching the WH feed and now not available Fox is close at about 1:23 but a lot was edited, not as in-depth as the WH feed. Sorry for the rant, this really bothered me at the time I heard it, and still does. Tucker just reinforced what I thought I was hearing. God be with us.

I also firmly believe the DIMs have purposely pushed for this “pandemic” shutdown under a Republican President so that every time in the future that a DIM President attempts it and we say we will not comply, they will hit us over the head with it for compliance.

The DIMs now have rules of engagement they never had before. They can pull all sorts of stuff and they have and did. Every wet dream they ever had can be a national emergency.

Here’s the questions? Can the federal gubt say the schools will reopen on x date period? If they are federally funded they have to comply, correct? IF that is the case, then that is the impetus to MAKE sure everyone reopen their economies. Just tell them that school starts back up on April 20th, get ready! What are they gonna’ do? Strike? While the kids are coming through their doors wanting to finish their school year? It’s either that or they can go all summer in the heat of the summer.

This whole shutdown crap was to “slow the spread” so as not to overwhelm te hospitals when they don’t have what they need. To overcome THEIR TOTAL LACK OF PREPARATION!

It’s slowed all right, but it will never be over. When we start mixing it up again there will continue to be cases, maybe lots of cases, but the hospitals now have what they need and more. They have protocols, PPE and drugs thanks to President TRUMP & VP Pence being all over it. Tehre is no excuse not to reopen.

The more I hear the “doctors” on the stage espouse their pandemic guidelines, the more I realize that this is nothing new. All of these rules were taught to us by our parents when we were sick, and we passed them on to our children and grandchildren. We just didn’t have fancy terms like “social distancing”.

I remember telling my elderly father when he showed up on my doorstep unannounced to turn around and go home, I was deathly sick with the flu and did not want him in the house or anywhere near me to catch it.

It is as old as human history that tyrants sought to seize power by making the people “afraid.” Hermann Göering correctly said that “it works the same in every country.” The seeds of totalitarianism are scattered thickly on the ground, waiting for the waters of fear to enable them to sprout.

There will be many who, having literally crushed the world’s economy through the abstract fear of a largely non-existent cold virus, will not want it to start up again except in their own image.

I have waited for this moment to arrive, but see that it is (amazingly …) still not quite here: “WTF?!?!”

I’m waiting for the moment when it truly sinks in that everybody has just been had. That they have been lied-to from the beginning – that the President especially was lied to. That “social distancing” doesn’t do anything. That the odds of getting sick are the same as for any cold, and the proper and completely non-disruptive hygienic precautions to be taken are the same. That the odds of serious illness if you do get sick with this, are also extremely small but not zero. That the mathematical models were utterly and completely wrong. That the virus(es) were likely already here. That we reacted, extremely, long before we actually(!) knew what the proper and balanced reaction actually should be.

Also, another vaccine for COVID-19, Johnson and Johnson, is using fetal cell lines.

Why is it that Sanofi-Pasteur can develop a COVID-19 vaccine without fetal cell lines, but these other companies must use them? Guess which vaccines will be mandated in the USA? Just like with kids MMRs and chickenpox, the only ones you can get in the USA will be the aborted baby ones.

The Dr. wrote a letter for my son after he was vaccine damaged stating that further vaccines could irreparably damage his brain. Luckily, he was never given anything with a dead baby in it before the flu shot that nearly killed him.

Fake science. Lord, save us from the models.

We are hearing it already. The models have been revised down because our mitigation actions are working. It’s the same con that was run on us with manmade global warming.

The global warming con predicted the end of life on earth unless we transfer all the West’s accumulated wealth to third world dumps, stop eating meat, stop driving and flying, stop heating and cooling our houses, and sit in the mud eating bugs until the “scientists” declare the climate emergency has passed. If we had done all that, and the world didn’t end, our new self-enforced poverty would have been declared to have saved the planet. But we DIDN’T do it. And the global temperature stopped rising anyway. Uh oh. You would think we would have learned from that. But no.

“Scientists” (our betters) at some university announce a “model” that predicts, with accuracy they themselves assess at near 100%, that the world will end on Tuesday. Our only hope to avert it is for all of us to all stand on one foot and jump up and down continuously until the predicted time of apocalypse. In a blind panic, we do it. We stand on one foot and jump up and down. Tuesday comes and goes. We’re still here. Early Wednesday a revised “model” comes out predicting our demise on Friday instead. The conclusion the “scientists:” draw? Our mitigation strategy worked! Well done! But all could still be lost unless we continue hopping until Friday. So we hop.

If you actually put a person on a ventilator, (s)he is probably going to die, no matter what you do. You’re blasting air deep into the lungs without the protections offered by the trachea – fungal and bacterial infections swiftly follow.

Fact is: only a tiny percentage of COVID-19 patients ever get that far. And, if they do get that far, then it probably isn’t COVID-19 that actually put them there. Their lungs are probably “already trashed” due to other pre-existing conditions.

Forecasting, no matter how rigorously scientific, is an attempt to predict the future: Nobody has a crystal ball. Once actual results are available to compare against the forecast it will be revised to more accurately track to results.

The preliminary results suggest that COVID-19, while it is a terrible disease with high mortality, isn’t quite as bad as initially feared. It is either not as contagious or else not as severe and deadly in most cases. A lot of people will get sick, a lot of people will die – more than even a strong flu like H1N1 – but in the end we may discover this was excessive and unnecessary.

Of course, that’s easy to say in 20/20 hindsight. And who’s to say what might have happened had the mitigation NOT been taken? Maybe we would have seen Spanish flu level death toll.

As you hint, the backcasting may be more significant than the forecasting, and it will be equally murky.

It wil take years to count the “true” death toll from COVID 19. It will have to be done statistically, and as with all statistics there will be a hundred opinions for every fifty statisticians. Consequently observers will select the statistics they like best.

I can predict with confidence though that by the morning of 3 November 2020, the statistical models favored by the media will be able to conclude :

      (a) that Trump reacted too slowly and caused thousands of unnecessary deaths
      (b) that Trump over-reacted with the shutdown and caused millions of unnecessary job losses
      (c) that Trump re-opened the economy far too quickly risking millions of deaths
      (d) that no treatments suggested by Trump did any good
      (e) that the US federal government performed far worse than any other government anywhere
      (f) that the crisis is by no means over
      (g) that Trump may have profited financially from prolonging the crisis, and
