White House Coronavirus Task Force Briefing – 5:00pm ET Livestream…

Unfortunately, with President Trump effectively communicating the latest information on the federal efforts to mitigate COVID-19, more corporate U.S. resistance media have decided not to carry the live broadcasts from the White House task force briefings.

Today at 7:00pm ET the White House will hold a briefing for the public and media on the latest mitigation efforts against the coronavirus. [Livestream Links Below]

Not. Ask Boris Johnson. This is like a Super Duper Flu. Hopefully it stays localized and burns itself out. Social distancing may be having an effect in that it prevents carriers from passing large doses of virus to uninfected people. Not having the data to isolate and quarantine bad cases and hot spots really hurt, too many major decisions had to be made on the fly. Thanks China!

for some people yes , Boris is a little older and going by his face not in the best of health anyway … for most its a flu and apparently for many its not even noticeable …

Boris Johnson is not a statistical trend. He’s a person…. not from America.

Zika killed 900,000 Africans. That was a super virus. Did it affect Americans in substantial numbers. Sure, about the same as a mild flu.

The Health and Human Services Department’s watchdog will investigate the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.

A spokesperson for the HHS inspector general told the Washington Examiner that investigators will carry out at least five reviews “related to HHS’s planning and response of the COVID-19 outbreak.” The inquiries will scrutinize issues such as nationwide hospital responses, quarantine procedures, the training and protective gear provided to front-line health workers, nursing home standards amid a disease with an exponentially more deadly effect on the elderly and the already ill, and the ability to care for illegal border crossers and refugees during a public health crisis.

The HHS watchdog will also draw up recommendations for dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.

The investigative effort will be spearheaded by Christi Grimm, the principal deputy inspector general who leads HHS’s watchdog office. The office compromises 1,600 auditors, investigators, lawyers overseeing dozens of programs run by agencies, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Administration for Children and Families, the Food and Drug Administration, and the National Institutes of Health — all of which have played a role in the government’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak that has rattled the U.S. health system.

    https://www.weaselzippers.us/446065-hhs-ig-now-investigating-trump-administration-response-to-coronavirus-outbreak-after-dem-request/

From 2014 to 2019, Ms. Grimm was the Chief of Staff and Deputy Inspector General for the Immediate Office. She directed OIG’s strategic planning, was responsible for effective execution of OIG’s priorities, and advised on a wide variety of policy and operational matters. As Chief of Staff, Ms. Grimm created and chaired OIG’s Engagement Committee, a senior executive forum that deliberates on OIG investments. Prior to becoming OIG’s Chief of Staff in 2014, Ms. Grimm served in leadership roles in the Immediate Office, including Director of Policy and Programs and Senior Advisor for Program Oversight. Ms. Grimm began her career with OIG in 1999 as a Program Evaluator and later served as a Senior Program Analyst in OIG’s Office of Evaluation and Inspections. She designed and conducted groundbreaking work to improve quality and safety in hospitals, stop unqualified providers from enrolling in Medicaid, and improve the process for appealing Medicare payment decisions.

Grimm started in her position in 1999. Clinton/obamabot.

If clueless Birx keeps it up, the grocery store employees will start thinking the same thing and not go into work.

Of course, the clueless Birx thinks everybody should sit in their home compounds and have everything delivered. If the food production, packaging, transportation, distribution and/or delivery people listen to her, they’ll sit at home too.

She MIGHT finally get a clue when everyone sitting at home can’t get anything because the food markets are closed, nobody has anything to deliver, and nobody would deliver anything anyway.

And some people don’t have enough money to buy 2 weeks worth of groceries. I’m thinking of the guys I hire to do odd jobs around my property (paid by the hour).

Right now their regular jobs are kaput. I try to come up with work for them to do so they have some cash. People who used to live paycheck to paycheck, received weekly, are now running out of cash sooner than that. They try to get grocery money with odd jobs here and there.

I was in two nearby grocery stores yesterday and the only thing they had were the big carts. No half carts which I like nor hand baskets. They want families to get a big order and not come back for a week or two. They tried to tell me that they couldn’t keep up with trying to keep the baskets clean. Why would they. One employee even told me that all of the smaller carts and hand baskets were stolen!! I didn’t see anyone outside wiping down the big carts. I hate being lied to. My grocery stores have gone to hell in their hand baskets!

States are responsible for their stockpiles. The Feds are responsible for theirs. China would not allow many of our US companies to ship these goods out of China.
