NPR reports that once u need ventilators, odds are narrowed..“

The ventilator thing is a misdirection. Its a demand for a thing that

      1. cannot be supplied immediately
      2. sounds incredibly sciency and doom laden
      3. is used as a last resort (and that that an incredibly high death and injury impact itself on patients)
      4. is not a treatment, but a temp measure to try other treatments.
      5. act as a focal point for the scare propaganda.
      6. hugely expensive

It was chosen as it provides a proxy that can be used for maximal impact instead of masks, gowns, anti-virals etc which do not ramp the fear up. One only needs to examine the simultaneous NY hysteria and compare with having thousands of unused ventilators at the same time.

Whenever you hear ventilator one should replace it with unicorn.

What up? It may have needed to be a stand alone post but it certainly puts some things into perspective. There have been other posts about making sure people don’t GET to the point of needing ventilators. I wouldn’t say venitlators are a red herring, but the media will definitely use it as a weapon. Step back a minute A2, you are better than that.

          “”Yeah let’s just redirect,”
While the comment from Bjorn may have off point from her data/analysis, it just may be the bigger point. Far too often we argue the fallout and tactics used by the political henchmen and minions of the globalists, when we should be exposing and attacking their strategy.

We are in a zero-sum economic war between the globalists and Donald Trump with his deplorables. The intended virus scare around the Chinavirus is an exploitation/creation of a crisis by the globalists and their media. It was part of a misinformation campaign to trigger that war.

Both Bjorn’s points and the economist’s data, show that media/political/hysteria over shortages of life critical support equipment was self-serving. Like WMDs, it scared the American public into an irrational fear needed to go to war – this time the war is an economic one against us – not a military one on some distant land.

That mindset of fear has been accomplished by the globalist media and cannot be unwound. It is too late to argue numbers and facts. And time to face what they did and why. Understanding the tactics and manipulation used to start that war is helps open our eyes. Once opened we have to find a way to win. I believe Donald Trump is now fighting his way out of a very insidious trap.

Only 15 of 100 survive ventilator treatment… and there is an argument out there mortality rate may be lowered by not being put on ventilator. This virus is unique in that it reduces the blood’s ability to hold oxygen. Heavy breathing is not from lung issues, yet the ventilator is designed to address lung issues. The ventilator subject is a deflection. So while this economist is addressing a different point, she is addressing the wrong point, the deflection point. Why?

I’m not convinced that “it reduces the blood’s ability to hold oxygen” is not Fake Science News. If this virus could actually do that, almost no one would survive it. But over 95% of those infected do recover, and sometimes are asymptomatic. The observed pattern of nearly every case, I think, disproves the assertion that this virus somehow interferes with aspiration beyond pneumonia – when and if it “strikes hard.”

Report: 40K Land in U.S. from China Since Trump’s Coronavirus Travel Ban

Nearly 40,000 people have landed in the United States from China on almost 280 flights since President Donald Trump’s February 2 travel ban on mainland China, a collection of travel data reveals.

Since New Year’s Eve, about 430,000 people landed in the U.S. on direct flights from China — thousands of which traveled directly from Wuhan, China, while mostly arriving in California, New York, Illinois, Washington, Michigan, and New Jersey.

All of these states have now become highly affected coronavirus outbreak zones, along with New Orleans, Louisiana. Of those 430,000 people who landed in the U.S. from China since New Year’s Eve, more than 380,000 came in January on more than 1,300 direct flights.

The arrival of people from China … has continued mainly thanks to exemptions in Trump’s travel ban which allow chain migrants — some relatives of American citizens — to still enter the country with minimal screenings at airports.

… about 279 flights from China have landed in the U.S. since the travel ban took effect on February 2.

In the first half of January, before any temperature screenings were enacted, roughly 4,000 people landed in the U.S. from Wuhan, with 19 of those flights landing in New York or California.

I cannot comprehend why PDJT isn’t infuriated with Fauci Birx for their ridiculous 100-200,000 death projection which they continued to cite through the past week. The entire coronavirus response was based on a flawed model, resulting in massive unemployment, staggering debt, curtailment of civil liberties, national crisis. Those most affected are his loyal base, whose jobs may never return, and those with small businesses now in jeopardy. A government check could never heal the trauma the country has endured. If the President doesn’t present a convincing explanation of why he allowed these two “experts” to crash our economy, he may not be re elected.

To put things into a little perspective, since POTUS took office 6.7 million jobs have been created. So according to latest stats we’re back at square one. Think back to January 2017, were we in the great depression?

I’m not trying to minimize what is happening and I’m not sure economically businesses can hang on for 45 days of zero income, with or without federal $. I felt like the initial 15 days most would recover, I’m far less confident with the extension. I support re-opening less impacted areas. I haven’t however seen stats that say 30 million UE.

We don’t know if President Trump is infuriated or not. President Trump runs an entire nation of 360 plus million people. He uses expert to advise him on various sectors of the business of running the country. The doctors he has advising him are the top doctors in their professions. Should he ask someone who is not a doctor on how a pandemic spreads. When asks for advised he wants to know the best and worst outcomes. He then decides what his cause of action should be. These same doctors were saying in late January that Americans had nothing to fear in regards to the Coronavirus ravaging China at the time. President Trump listened and then placed a travel ban from China. The doctors, at the time, disagreed with that decision. Later they changed their tune. When President Trump decides he has had enough of the expert input, he will make his decision of what he wants to do. Any attempt to try and “understand” why he doesn’t do this or he does do this, of why he doesn’t feel this or does feel this, is just wrong. We are not in his shoes and will not bear the responsibility of his decision. Although we will experience the results of that decision.

My sense is The President has a feel for where “the point of no return” is for the US economy. He frequently creates win/win situations. My guess is he knows May 1 is a date from which the economy can soon recover with proper economic stimulus, and he also knows if this virus dies off more quickly the shutdown can A) be touted as a success B) have reduced risk if things were actually has bad as doctors forecast C) Expose all the shills, driving them further into irrelevance.

How many people in the past have died when the medication was not given to them because Our taxpayer employees had not approved it’s final test. Talk about the power these people have! Why is this so hard for people to understand?!? Gloves often provide a false sense of security.

For purposes of shopping, the only way gloves are helpful is when they’re donned before entering the store and removed before getting into your car.

But think about this…were you wearing those gloves when you got into your wallet or purse to pay, or grabbed your keys, or put on your sunglasses?

      Liked by 3 people

      • Exactly Peoria Jones! It’s about damn time that someone spoke up and use some common sense!!!.
I use gloves at home for much of my cooking, because I wash my hands so much everyday, while doing household tasks that I have cracks in palms, so I use hand-cream after washing my hands. I put the gloves on because my hands are clean and moist with the cream. When I am interrupted while creating meatloaf (as an example), then I have to WASH MY GLOVED HANDS and dry them with a towel and then wash again before I play in the meatloaf, or whatever….
This idea that a gloved hand cannot get dirty and that germs do not go on it, is the most ridiculous theory I have EVER heard, or witnessed.
And when I’m done with my cooking task…the gloves come off and go in the garbage…

        • As a former restaurant manager ,I can tell you ,gloves are not pushed for sanitation reasons but for PR because idiot customers demand them .
I constantly had to get after employees who would wear gloves for multiple tasks.
If you use hands they feel the mess , and naturally you will wash them off or use your towel from your quat sanitizer bucket to wipe( not optimal) your hands, but still much more sanitary .
Anyone who has had firs aid knows the laborious process of properly using and discarding gloves. The general public will not take the time to do it right.
Also hand sanitizer was not allowed at that time because the antibacterial properties wore off and the residue is a massive bacterial feast.
With hand sanitizer if you are not thoroughly washing it off soon it is counter productive.
Since hand sanitizer generally are only for bacteria not viruses, proper hand washing and RINSING is more important.

I take one the the plastic produce bags from the store to put my hand in when I take the produce or other items. Turn it inside out afterwards and throw it in the garbage can outside of the store. In the car I cleanse my hands and wipe my phone and handbag bottom and do all these obsessive things germophobes do. ( I have wipes and hand cleaner in my car) When I come home I truly think I have picked up the virus and start taking my fever. I am now wearing my self made mask.
I just cant wait to have my sanity returned to me as I do not recognize myself.
And soon. As for the reporter who proposed to close the grocery stores I say: Go ahead, we’ll die of starvation or the virus. The virus gives us a bit more leeway.

Here is the crux of the matter: we must get business and jobs moving forward again by May 1st or we risk an economic catastrophe. I’ve been trying to point this out all weekend, along with the faulty models compared to actual hospitalization data. Some support, but some unreal panic-driven reactions from generally intelligent people.

A depression level event would be devastating. Now economists are speaking to this. President a Trump must get this done despite the blowback.

      • Not to be snarky but what is the plan to reopen the economy? I think that is a fair question and one which needs to be addressed ASAP. I support this POTUS, voted for him in 16 and no doubt willl do it again but I do have two criticisms
        1. Extending the date from Easter till end of the month was based on faulty science. At this time we were supposed to have 100k not 9100 deaths. This 17 day extension will guarantee the closing of more businesses and many Governors took this and extended thier bs lockdowns.
        2. POTUS does a great job understanding who America is. Case in point his text about LL baseball was so spot on yet the ones who are taking a beating are (as many on here have illustrated) his base. The small businesses and their employees. Economics needs to be front and center moving forward. I understand federalism but President Trump needs to speak from the bully pulpit and urge every Governor to open up where its feasible. Besides NY/NJ The rest of the country should be open. This approach would then put the onerous of closing squarely on the Governors for thier decisions.

POTUS getting blamed by msm/left no matter what but he is not above reproach. The left is dogmatic with their leaders, we should never be.

PT has not said exactly when he will end this. There is a battle between himself alone and the deep state medical community, governors and media to use HCQ as a viable treatment.

A corner was turned in yesterday’s briefing. It become clear to me that PT was taking control of this battle. He spent a lot of time explaining the positives of using HCQ along with no downside. He also was quick to prevent from letting Fauci put a damper on it.

PT let the genie out of the bottle. Once that took place, it cannot be put back in without hard facts to dispute what isn’t there. He makes opposed governors guilty of negligent homicide for preventing those doctor that want to honor right to try.

I felt that was a scare you tactic because President Trump continues to talk about the cure. Only ill people are being tested, she didn’t tell us the number tested just the %, how sick are these people, how many in the hospital, how many at death’s door before they got the virus. This is a numbers and charts scare. I think the FDA, the CDC, and the WHO will never be trusted in America again. President Trump is allowing them to expose themselves to everyday Americans. POTUS has potent weapons against these resistors:

        (1) Pull Federal Emergency Funding from any State Tyrant refusing to open (or continuing draconian, dictatorial, unconstitutional infringements on our freedoms). Watch the State potentates scurry when they have to tax their own citizens/voters to pay for resisting.

        (2) Define larger and larger swaths of citizens’ activities and businesses as “essential” under federal law and forbid the States to interfere.

        (3) Use the incredibly expansive definition of “interstate commerce” our Courts have adopted to forbid the States from interfering.

He has other such remedies available. But he needs to select supremely capable legal advisers (e.g., Ted Cruz, not Bill Barr) to design his moves to “open the country” while States Tyrants resist. I’m hoping he already has such people working feverishly behind the scenes, ready to implement the strategy when he says, “Go!”

      GREAT CATCH!

Worst part, CDC and FDA are getting in the way!!:

“… DR. BIRX: It is disappointing to me right now that we have about 500,000 capacity of Abbott tests that are not being utilized. So they are out. They’re in the states. They’re not being run and not utilized.

Why aren’t the tests being utilized? The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are standing in the way. On its website, the CDC has extremely restrictive criteria regarding who should be tested. The only ones with high priority are:
      Hospitalized patients.
Those who are in long-term care facilities with symptoms.
Those who are 65 years of age or older with symptoms.
Those with underlying conditions with symptoms.
      First responders with symptoms.
Additional people can receive testing, but only if resources allow. These include:
      Critical infrastructure workers with symptoms.
Individuals who do not meet any of the above categories with symptoms.
Health care workers and first responders.
Individuals with mild symptoms in communities experiencing high COVID-19 hospitalizations.
The CDC criteria must be eliminated immediately. A substantial line of infection spread involves people who don’t have symptoms (yet) or have mild symptoms and can communicate the disease. Allowing the general public to access tests on a mass scale will help identify the many people with moderate, mild, or nonexistent symptoms who are now spreading the virus to others.
But the CDC is not the only problem. On March 21, the FDA shut down the at-home testing for COVID-19, which was being conducted by several companies including Everlywell, Carbon Health, and Nurx. Some of those tests had already been submitted to FDA-approved COVID-19 labs when the FDA intervened, even forcing conducted tests to be thrown away without analysis. None of those companies has been permitted to resume at-home testing….”

Here’s another story out of S. Korea:

“So how is it that the South Koreans got a handle on this virus without stopping the economy or shutting down the country? South Korea has a crowded population of some 52 million people crammed into a geographical location about the size of Indiana, a perfect situation for a pandemic to spread – but it didn’t. And yes, when I flew in and out of Korea, it was also very apparent they took communicable diseases seriously, particularly at airports. Health is a very much part of their daily routine.

My contact friend went on to point out, “Yes, I feel very blessed to be living here in South Korea during this time. There are several factors, I think, that have made South Korea so successful in how they’ve handled it. They started screening for fevers, wearing masks, putting out hand sanitizer everywhere, and just trying to make the public aware of what was happening. They were also very proactive, in testing and separating anyone who tested positive for the virus, whether they were showing symptoms or not. Because as you are correct, the majority of the cases are quite mild. It’s just very contagious. So South Korea ended up turning some factory warehouses and training areas into large quarantine centers for anyone who had mild symptoms or no symptoms, but still tested positive for the virus. That saved our hospitals only for the small percentage that were actually seriously sick.”

This is not a time for pessimism; this is a time for optimism. Fear and doubt is not a good thought process because this is a time for tremendous hope and joy and optimism and action.

But to embrace the possibilities of tomorrow, we must reject the perennial prophets of doom and their predictions of the apocalypse. They are the heirs of yesterday’s foolish fortune-tellers — and I have them and you have them, and we all have them, and they want to see us do badly, but we don’t let that happen. They predicted an overpopulation crisis in the 1960s, mass starvation in the ’70s, and an end of oil in the 1990s. These alarmists always demand the same thing: absolute power to dominate, transform, and control every aspect of our lives.

We will never let radical socialists destroy our economy, wreck our country, or eradicate our liberty. America will always be the proud, strong, and unyielding bastion of freedom.

One article that starts with the bar charts showing increasing cases mentions the Henry Ford trials in the 10th paragraph down.

It’s not just the National MSM that doesn’t want POTUS’s HCQ idea to work.

  18. The Wuhan virus is a disease that attacks the blood not the lungs so much. Some think we are dealing with 2 diseases. The a malaria drug like hydroxychloroquine is the answer and not ventilators. You can inflate the lungs all day but the blood won’t hold the oxygen. If there is 2 diseases we may get rid of the Flu like problem with a vaccine, but people will still die because the blood disorder is still there.

That is what the antibiotic is for. This is why the hydroxychloroquine works so well when given at the first sign of symptoms. The blood disorder must be the sepsis that follows quickly in some cases. Clever Chinese. sarc/

  23. imagine it is 1944 and there was something that’d been around for 15 years, and suddenly it was saving the lives of our hero’s winning on the battlefields… and we were getting word of it and it was giving us some semblance of hope within the storm… just imagine that, and having NBC refuse to call it penicillin by name to us back home, maybe routinely calling it ‘some untested treatment’, for fear that calling it by name may help our duly elected leader, lead us.
    Imagine that.
HEY NBC, it has a name. HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE.

Penicillin was first mass-produced for D-Day. My uncle’s interned crewmate was saved by penicillin smuggled into Switzerland in August 1944 by the French Underground and US Embassy in Bern. He was badly wounded and spent 9 months in a hospital and made full recovery after several major surgeries.

THIS^^^. Penicillin was a miracle then and antibiotics still are miracles from heaven. Anything that can kill a virus will be far better than a vaccine. Perhaps that is why Bill Gates/ Fauci are so determined? Get the US to be microchipped and the other little nations will have to fall in line?

I watched one of Gov. Cuomo’s presidential election speeches over the weekend and noted several times he referred to the 17,000 ventilators he ordered. His oral gymnastics inferred that he had ordered and received them. If he did order 17,000, after turning down purchasing 15,000 in 2015, I doubt a single one will be delivered in time for this crisis. I suggest this is a reverse projection. One claimes to have solved a problem when they were the problem, yet they are still there.

Our leftist governor here in CO, Polis, claimed that a mask supplier didn’t sell to CO but to the feds instead, saying it was hard to get PPE because the state is competing with the federal government, who would pay more.

Later in his press briefing he let the real story slip out — CO had a “lead” on masks available for purchase but when they followed up on the lead, FEMA had already purchased the masks. There was no bidding war, no competing for purchase, simply the normal business practice of ‘first come, first served’.

Guess which version the media used?

New HCQ study to start soon at POTUS’s alma mater and results this week and some results within 2 weeks!!

“…The trial is set to start next week and will study 400 people in three different substudies.
The first will compare HCQ against a placebo for infected patients who are quarantined at home to see if it can reduce the number of days that people need to be quarantined. This substudy will take two weeks, Amaravadi said.
The second will study a high dose of HCQ against a low dose for patients who are infected and hospitalized to determine if it can reduce the amount of time it takes to discharge a patient. No placebo will be used for this substudy, which will also last two weeks.
The third substudy will last two months and will compare the drug with a placebo for health care workers treating infected patients, the goal being to establish whether or not HCQ can prevent infection.
Both the first and third substudies are “double-blind,” meaning neither the patients nor doctors know if what is being used is the drug or the placebo. However, if patients start getting worse, both substudies will allow them to be “unblinded” and treated with HCQ.
The trial will focus only on patients and health care workers at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania or at Penn Presbytarian Medical Center, which Amaravadi said will allow for closer control and faster results.
Once the results are published, the FDA will need to evaluate the data along with other studies and decide whether to approve hydroxychloroquine as a COVID-19 treatment. Amaravadi, though, cautioned that even if the drug is proven to work, it can’t replace a vaccine….”

    3/31 54%
    4/01 27%
    4/02 28%
4/03 2% (yes two point zero)

    Anatomy of a Scam:
A Very Wealthy Couple (“VWC”) has this sort of odd obsession with eugenics, population control and global pandemics. VWC speaks at a lot of big global “forums” and such about it. People kind of nod their heads and fawn over them because they are a very wealthy couple, but then mostly ignore them. So one day VWC is discussing how they can sound more authoritative on the subject and Mr. VWC declares: “We need a model!! Models lend a ton of credibility and will force people to pay attention to all these risks we keep spouting about.”

So the VWC goes down to their local public university with checkbook in hand to meet with a Statistics and Math Professor (“SMP”) to ask him to build them a model. After VWC explains what they are looking for, SMP thinks to himself: “Well, I can’t build anything that would be actually accurate because there are way too many external variables such as weather or people reacting to the news by washing their hands more or staying home from work/school if they feel ill, so it would simply be using averages of averages…but…I get 30% off the top on any grant money and being associated with VWC and the publicity they would bring about my work would make me the Jay-Z of my small academic peer group…” SMP responds: Yep, I can build you a model, I will need a $2MM grant please…..

So VWC goes around the world with their model and now sound more credible. SMP goes to his academic conferences and his peers all ask for copies of the model so that they can use it to get grant money locally from various hospitals and local governments. VWC makes SMP give it away because it will help further spread the credibility of the model. Nobody questions whether its actually accurate because, well, that would cut off the gravy train…

Then one day an actual pandemic hits and everybody in positions of authority call up their local smp using the same model and asks: “Hows it look” and the local smp sees their opportunity for local fame and fortune and starts spouting about the model and these dire outcomes to scare people into taking actions that nobody would ever think imaginable. But it fits with the original VWCs world view.

Until the world realizes the model sucks…
