Although these numbers sound “horrific,” and they certainly are if you get very sick, this progression is typical of contagion. If there is x% chance that any person will encounter y% of the population and there is a z% chance of transmitting a contagion in each encounter, then the natural cycle is exponential before it begins to flatten off.

We also continue to have the data-problem that “Coronavirus deaths” are being tabulated of people who died with the virus, not of it. Although we generally do the same thing with the flu.

What’s most disappointing to see, though, is that apparently our efforts at “social distancing” and of shutting down the whole damned economy … didn’t help. The self-important doctor was wrong, and so was PDJT. Mind you, I’m not suggesting that anyone intended to be wrong, and I won’t buy the notion that PDJT was intentionally deceived by his subordinates, but … they were wrong.

And I would just like to say, I’ve had flu/bug/whatever that have very similar symptoms as Corona. At least in my experience the last 10 or so years, upper respiratory and dry coughing type bugs have been the biggest issue for me and even developed into pneumonia once. I know there weren’t covid-19, but they were tough sledding.

I could easily see what I had previously taking out less healthy people.

I posted this in the Dr Fauci article. Just thought I’d let people know what’s going on in Ohio.

I have found out that Cleveland Clinic is NOT giving anyone the hydroxychloroquine and z-pack treatment. Staff said only teaching hospitals can run a trial so I asked what about OSU or Case? They said they don’t know of anyone doing any trials in Ohio. They said that only NYC is running trials and it is compassionate care only for those in NYC that might otherwise not make it. NO COMPASSIONATE CARE IN OHIO.

I mentioned about the studies out of France and the previous SARS and how other doctors are showing promising results of the medicine. They said there is no cure and they are only treating the symptoms of ALL their patients. They basically poo-poohed the medicine.

I may not be a candidate for the treatment due to my heart arrhythmia but I know of one positive person on the ventilator in downtown Cleveland Clinic that apparently is not getting the medicine. Then I think of anyone in my family getting it and becoming seriously ill and not getting the treatment.

They said, people were hoarding it and lupus patients couldn’t get their medicine if they give it to all the coronavirus patients. I said if someone is severe short of breath, on a ventilator, and could possibly die, why wouldn’t they give the medicine when it’s life and death compared to a lupus patient anyway?

They are completely dismissive about the treatment of hydroxychloroquine. I don’t know what kind of info they are being briefed with but I can imagine it is coming from the Ohio Dept of Health.

Amy Acton, a Democrat and prior Obama activist, is our director of health. I’m really starting to feel this is a conspiracy in withholding treatment from those sick. Perhaps they are stalling for Big Pharma to come up with a new expensive medicine.

But in withholding promising treatment and dismissing it, they will prolong this economy shut down and keep us locked up for who knows how long. In Dr. Fauci’s dreams, it could be years after the third cycle of this virus. Or just long enough to get Dementia Joe elected.

Won’t they work well together then in bringing this crisis to a head if that happens, and already practiced in corralling us, surveillance, taking away rights, which they know can work and will pull whatever out their hat at any time to keep us in our place and under control.

He asked her to tell me (due to my daughters having covid, but no medication is available to them in either NYC or Atlanta), that there is NO medicine/treatment available in Orlando, either. He said “there is a shortage” of the Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine).

What is going on???? Didn’t several countries give us MILLIONS of pills?? WHERE ARE THEY??

Our friend, a Cuban owner of a pharmacy told us that last week, the GOVERNMENT actually physically went into all the pharmacies in Miami (his included) and CONFISCATED ALL the Hydroxycholorquine/Palquenil everyone had in stock!!

WHERE are we living????? We are in such shock.”

There is no Cleveland Clinic in downtown Cleveland.

The closest Cleveland Clinic (Lutheran Hospital) to downtown is in the Ohio City neighborhood (West 25th St.)

The main campus of the Cleveland Clinic is near the University Circle area (from East 89th to East 105th, mainly on Euclid Ave.)

The Cleveland Clinic is world famous.

In the University Circle Area, near the very good Case Western Reserve University, is two other medical institutions:

          * University Hospital main campus (which some locals like better that the Cleveland Clinic.)

          * The Louis Stokes VAMC, which is one of the three largest Department of Veterans Affairs Hospitals in the country (It is the largest research hospital in the VA system)

The level five trauma center for the area is located at the main campus of the Metro Health Medical Center, which is located on West 25th St.

Sorry, it took a University Hospital neurologist to finally confirm and figure out it was the Flagyl that was giving me the terrible side effects and that it was well documented. The Cleveland Clinic, who prescribed it to me, kept saying it was this or that, like thyroid (which was normal), they were absolutely dumb and obtuse. Also a University GI who even questioned why they gave me Flagyl as it was overkill in the first place. Even the CC hepatologist questioned why they gave me Flagyl. I am still suffering today from that Flagyl, hence, the heart arrhythmia is one of them. They can’t own up or care about adverse reactions.

I can’t tell you the disrespect given in the treatment of my father, who I had brought up here to be near me, too, compared to University cardiologists and hospital staff at SW General.

I talked with a driver who was transporting my father from rehab to the cardiologist follow up and I was remarking how Cleveland Clinic doesn’t seem to provide patient centered care and such and he was saying he’s heard CC only cares about good numbers for their stats, the iffy cases are treated dismissively..

I have not had good experience with Cleveland Clinic and they are very much corporate medicine.

I can’t believe the “world renowned” Cleveland Clinic has decided NOT to at least treat critically ill patients with the hydroxychloroquine.

I meant main campus and I know well enough where it is as I’ve been there plenty of times for tests and I have to see my hepatologist there.

I misspoke, sorry for the technical difficulty. You didn’t need to write up all that, it’s all downtown to me.

I was at a outlier hospital that Cleveland Clinic took over and it hasn’t been for the better. I thought we’d get more services, but instead they took services away. Got rid of the maternity ward (I had my second there) so there’s no child birthing ward in our county, I had to go “downtown” CC to get a stinking stress test that I did at this local hospital years back. Ridiculous. There’s not even a neurologist on staff anymore. Many people that worked under the previous ownership are pretty fumed about how they’re running things, too. It’s too bad, it’s only a couple minutes away from me.

And they keep building more and more downtown and making people go to main campus for everything instead of regular services at the hospitals where people live.

Cleveland Clinic, Case Western Reserve University transform academic building into coronavirus surge hospital
      Posted Apr 02, 2020
      https://www.cleveland.com/metro/2020/04/cleveland-clinic-case-western-reserve-university-transform-academic-building-into-coronavirus-surge-hospital.html

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University are transforming an academic building for medical, nursing and dental students into a coronavirus overflow hospital, to help care for the surge of patients expected.

The Health Education Campus main building within weeks will be filled with up to 1,000 hospital beds, according to a news release. The building was chosen because it is just across the street from the Cleveland Clinic main campus. Workers are now moving furniture out and running oxygen lines in the building to get it ready to go.

The four-floor, 447,000 temporary hospital will treat COVID-19 patients who aren’t in critical condition but do need hospitalization. These patients won’t require ventilators or large doses of oxygen. But the surge hospital will be fully staffed and identical to a regular nursing floor, with medical professionals able to care for these patients. Patients will be able to receive IV medications and fluids, and their vital signs and oxygen levels monitored.

If patients there need more involved care, the Clinic will be able to quickly transfer them to its intensive care unit at its main campus.

The Clinic says it’s not over its capacity yet, but it is seeing an increase in COVID-19 patients. It’s anticipating a surge of patients, and is preparing for that reality with the new temporary hospital. Its models show that it will need to have as many as several times its normal amount of hospital beds to care for coronavirus patients.

She’s tried several pharmacies and they are all out. At least that’s what she’s being told. Been waiting over 2 weeks. CVS here is back ordered on losartan. They are telling patients on bp scripts that the govt. is using the losartan for studies so it’s back ordered, but Walgreens and Rite Aid do have the losartan.

If true info, it seems weird that the Cleveland Clinic would not be using hydroxy/zpac as a treatment when everyone else seems to be doing that either off label or for studies. The hospitals here-at least one I know for sure-are using it per a Dr. friend of mine..

Imo, people who are exhibiting any symptoms should be tested and put on this protocol immediately after a positive test. It seems to be a drug easily and cheaply made in large quantities and other countries have sent large shipments, so I am puzzled as to why it is being confiscated and unavailable.

I take it for RA and have begun to wonder if it provides me some protection from common cold and flu because I very seldom get a cold and extremely rarely have had anything close to flu. I do take immunosuppression also.
I do realize that covid is much more infectious but it’s just a curiosity to me. Just some musings I’ve done. 😀

Supposedly the FED is a privately held entity. If so, who owns the FED?
Is it the descendants of the people who created it? Who knows?

Supposedly the FED asks the Treasury to print money so it can be “lent” to “member banks” and then collects interest on the money that they lend to it’s members.
Do the FED’s owners actually receive any interest payments? If so, to where and to whom does it go? To the FED’s owners?
If so, what do the owners do with the money they receive? Do the FED’s owners have any liabilities, do they have any assets? Who knows?

Seems like It’s a great racket IMO – everything to gain with nothing to lose.
    How do they do it?
…order Treasury money from thin air, lend it to “members” and collect interest payments while controlling the country’s entire money supply…plus have no accountability to anyone.
AND as an additional bonus, they never have to pay anyone back!
… Because when a member bank fails to pay back their FED loans, somebody other than the FED’s owners are on the hook …

The FED is a house of cards waiting for a breeze to knock it down.

Antibody testing is a great idea, however I take exception to the whole plasma – IGG push. If hydroxy chloroquine and z-pack are effective, IVIG therapy should be saved for the few HCQ+Z-pack is not an effective treatment for.

I’m familiar with IVIG therapy. It is VERY expensive. It carries risks, it is a blood product. It is dubbed “liquid gold” in the medical community, but trust me cost much more per ounce than gold. Depending on the mix, a pediatric dose of it ranges from $11,000 to $25,000.

My daughter had to have it due to a rare side effect from chemo, (long story) so I’m real familiar with it. Initially insurance refused to pay, but eventually did. We paid out of pocket for the first couple of doses, took out a second mortgage.

Unless what they’re talking about is different, I don’t see the viability of this as a wide scale treatment going forward. It would bankrupt insurance companies and/or the government.

This is a very thorough analysis by an obvious expert in the field. A must read, Treepers!

Key quote (from Germany but also applicable everywhere): (emphasis theirs)

It is a fact, however, that a rapid increase in the number of cases has recently been observed in Germany as the volume of tests increases.

It is therefore reasonable to suspect that the virus has already spread unnoticed in the healthy population. This would have two consequences: firstly, it would mean that the official death rate – on 26 March 2020, for example, there were 206 deaths from around 37,300 infections, or 0.55 percent – is too high; and secondly, it would mean that it would hardly be possible to prevent the virus from spreading in the healthy population.

One of the questions I kept asking is how do they KNOW that most people have only mild symptoms or maybe none if they aren’t testing those with mild symptoms? How’s come some go into ARDS and others not? It can’t be just because they are old or such. My mother in law has had flu almost every winter, if she should get coronavirus and go into ARDS, it is NOT because she is old. It is because this is a wicked virus. Just like my sister in law’s friend’s father. Something is not adding up.

President Trump had little choice but to go along with the worst-case models presented to him. The down-side for his administration would have been disastrous had they come true. The American people see who is politicizing this virus despite the gaslighting of the MSM.

Democrat governors overreaching with their mandates of quarantines and imposing curfews. Whining about the federal government about supplies that they neglected to maintain.

The President allows Dr. Fauci to make his doomsday predictions until they are proven false and then he will be gone. Had the President not shutdown our country every grandmother that dies of cancer, diabetes or old age will be blamed on COVID-19 and President Trump.

The shutdown will end soon, China has lost face and trust that they will never recover. They intentionally allowed this virus to spread worldwide and businesses will flee China ever more rapidly.

When the shutdown ends our economy will rebound tremendously and President Trump will get the credit. Voter fraud is the only thing preventing a Trump landslide in 2020.

The government has known about the Hydroxy-Choloroquine and Choloroquine solution for some time.
The government have been hording this medication for themselves and the military.
The government has directed some of this medication to hospitals.

Food supplies for the public are growing shorter slowly.

So while your concerned by that lonely chair. I would be more concerned about that man with no money to buy food for his family. Many, people get paid by the week Mike with little or no savings.

At some point that family man will do what it takes and daily speeches and promises will mean nothing. Add to this, that people know this hording is taking place.

So our president needs to do two things. Put people back to work and release the medication to the elderly with a high potential for infection by the virus. Stop wasting time on studies.

I would recommend that the elderly remain in self quarantine until the supply of Hydroxy-Choloroquine and Choloroquine catch up with demand.

Over 3.4 Million People Poured into U.S. as Coronavirus Outbreak Began
    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/04/02/over-3-4-million-people-poured-into-u-s-as-coronavirus-outbreak-began/

Millions of travelers entered the U.S. during the early months of the coronavirus outbreak — December, January, and February — before the general public realized the threat the virus posed to the world and their local communities.

… 759,493 people entered the U.S. from China during that critical three-month period. The number includes “228,000 Americans returning home and hundreds of thousands of Chinese nationals arriving for business, academics, tourism or to visit family,” according to ABC News.

While Trump’s orders to stop international travel from key areas certainly helped lessen the spread, experts say much of the damage was already done, given the reality and ease of international travel in the modern era:

“This is an astonishing number in a short period of time, illustrating how globalized our world has become. Just as people can hop continents with amazing ease, the infections they carry can too,” said Dr. Vinayak Kumar, an internal medicine resident at the Mayo Clinic …

“I think this was bound to eventually happen,” Kumar said. “The high volume of international travel, the lack of screening, the inconsistent hand-washing and cough control … these laid down the perfect conditions for a disease to spread. Add that to a virus that is both largely asymptomatic and has a prolonged infectious period, and you have got a perfect storm of factors for a pandemic.”

A large Chinese trade delegation also were present at the Whitehouse mid January, formalizing the trade deal and shaking hands with our President, VP. and other cabinet members. I have a feeling that at least one or more ChiCom reps had to be infected, with the full knowledge of the Chinese Govt. If this is true then we are in an intractable state of war with China that will eventually escalate.

First off, Fauci runs the agency (NIAID) who’s mission it is is to PREVENT infectious disease from entering the U.S. (massive fail there). Then, a month ago Fauci was running around saying the risk to U.S. citizens is “extremely low”. Then he swung to the other extreme accepting the doomsday UK model and says 2 million will die unless we imprison our citizenry in their own homes. Recently he backed off to 100-200,000 deaths. Now he says we cannot be allowed out of our cocoons until there are ZERO new cases and hydroxychoroquine…Meh, not proven effective. I think that President Trump has developed a case of “expertitus.” It’s understandable. Medicine and biology are not in his wheelhouse. He either turned to the first and most obvious source of official authority — the CDC — or delegated Pence to do this. President Trump has previously shown a tendency toward poor personnel decisions, and in this case he may have erred on the extreme side of caution knowing the sensitivity of the issue.

He’s now kind of stuck, as firing either of these two establishment stiffs would bring media hell raining down on him.

But this can’t go on. The idea of not returning our economy back to normal until ALL corona cases stop is absurd and impossible.

Doctors are starting to do antibody tests on themselves. This one came back positive, meaning he already had the virus (says it was back in the first week of January). This is why Fauci says antibody testing is “not a priority”. When done across a wide swath of Americans it will likely show millions of us have already had this virus, recovered from it, and are now immune. It will completely DESTROY Fauci’s lock down approach and doomsday projections making him look like an utter fool. What will happen to Tony when we find out tens of millions of American’s livelihood was destroyed because he was WRONG? Probably NOTHING…but the President WILL be blamed.

“If your job description is POTUS, you will get blamed. Period.”

I do think that it is reasonable that this coronavirus has been circulating for a lot longer than people thought – and I openly suspect that there is more than one strain circulating besides the one that came from China. But, while it does produce severe pneumonia in some cases, most people recover and some are asymptomatic throughout. Thus, I think that the true danger of this virus was vastly over-stated.

We can also see from the data that our “social distancing” and economic shutdown didn’t ameliorate the spread of the virus. As we do more tests, we find more “cases.” If we were to do random antibody testing, we would probably find a very large number of people who already had it – whether or not they caught a cold.

This is the Catch-22 that the President now finds himself in, and I suggest that he’d better immediately declare that people should get back to work and stop this nonsense. This “treatment” was far worse than the disease.

The ‘lockdown’ is on to the end of April. At that time there will be a window when meaningful antibody testing can take place nationwide.
This will show the number of people, (such as the Dr. Antevy in the tweet) who have actually had the virus and thought it was just a bad case of regular flu.
The chances are that this will be a substantial portion of the population and thus give validity to the prospect/discussion of going back to work etc.

One thing I’ve noticed throughout this episode is the near-total silence from Congress. Other than Pelosi and Schumer – and now recently, little Pencil-Neck – nothing. Crickets. This is highly unusual behavior from this gang.
Isn’t Rand Paul an MD? One would think that he, at least, has something to say. Bupkus.
No words of praise, no words of condemnation, nothing. It’s as if they’re leaving our President all alone out there; leaving his cheese hanging in the wind.
This is not normal for these folks. What gives?

    • The repugnants are quiet because the democrats give cover to the UNIPARTY. This is just how the repugs like it.

The repugs are the spineless group of the UNIPARTY. That is how politicians decide if they will run as a D or R.
      No spine = R.
      Spine= D

There are very few issues on which they differ. It is an illusion for the voters.

They do all agree on destroying the us, the little people. So there’s that.

Though I believe that this WuHan Flu is the latest attempt by the swamp/globalist cabal to take out our Great President Trump, at this point he/we have to see it to the other side. I know with certainty that President Trump has his hand on the till and will at the appropriate time flip on the “start button” and will reengage the Trump Train. This time with an absolute certainty he/we has won the argument that “globalism sucks”.

I’m just as angry as anyone about this latest dangerous stunt, but I trust President Trump he’s earned it. He sees what we see, he knows what we know and then some. Even some of the evil cabal are chirping, Barry the Mistake of 08, Bill Gates and Adam (Pencil neck) Schiff et al.

So “for now” we must endure this latest coup attempt and understand that our Great President Trump has got this and when he determines the time is right will rip the band-aid off, in keeping with the medical metaphor.

We must remember that nothing is out of bounds to this small group of people who really control the planet “for now”. We hold it together, stick with our Great President Trump and we will crush them eventually. We know “trillions are at stake” then ask “what wouldn’t they do?” …the answer: NOTHING!

What’s going on right now is no coincidence it checks off to many boxes that the swamp/NWO/cabal was having trouble with, we’ll know very soon.

Hang tough, be cool and be prepared.

Viruses are part of nature and humans do not have control over nature, despite what arrogant liberals seem to think. My namesake (Charles Darwin) established the “survival of the fittest” theory of species development almost 200 years ago. Consistent with that, this virus is almost exclusively taking the weak and sick as most diseases do. It seems cruel and inhumane but the fact is most of those who have died from COVID-19 were probably going to pass on due to their poor health within a rather short time anyway. We cannot destroy the lives, livelihoods, freedoms, and aspirations of 99% of us to protect the 1%. It does not pass the logic test but it is exactly what is happening to our nation. This is more ridiculous by a factor of 1000x than thinking we can control the climate.

Proof the Press has ZERO critical-thinking skills, or self-awareness…

DeSantis defends his position that Church Services are considered essential, & makes this point:

“I mean you guys are spread out, you know, here in this press conference. There’s no reason why you couldn’t do a church service with people ten feet apart,” DeSantis noted. “So we definitely asked them to absolutely abide by the social distancing guidelines.” [You can be certain the Press of mouth-breathers met this with only blank stares- they don’t get it.]

    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/04/02/watch-florida-gov-ron-desantis-defends-deeming-churches-essential/

Now PDJT needs to call out his team of “experts” that don’t practice what they preach! Instead, they crowd around him & repeatedly take turns touching the podium– day, after day, after day… NO MASKS, NO GLOVES. Are they tested daily? Not likely.

Why isn’t PDJT coming to these Pressers in a Hazmat suit? Godz only know where these Presstitutes have been at night! And we all know they’re at minimum rabid with TDS, often fuming from their ears, & shoot daggers of vitriol from their soulless eyes. They also tend to “spray it, not say it,” while seething with anger. Spit FLIES!
🥴Ewww… the Press Room is chock full of Cooties!

These Pressers are HYPOCRISY on display! This so-called “social-distancing” ONLY applies to us peasants. Wake the H up!

I’m 49 years old. Old enough to remember the day the cold war was won when President Regan said to the Soviet union, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.”

This past Tuesday, a part of me died. My company gave everyone a personalized letter on official letterhead vouching for us that we did indeed work for an essential business and the letter went on to defend company’s essential status by citing the National Infrastructure Protection Plan 2013: Partnering for Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience (NIPP 2013).

They told us to keep these papers in our cars just in case we got pulled over for not being at home.

Treepers, this is Tennessee, not California or New York, and governor Lee has MANDATED everyone be home and the Mayor of Nashville is encouraging people to tattle on businesses and individuals who are not in compliance with the Executive orders.

If we think it’s bad now wait until the States start demanding federal bailouts. Income, sales, and other tax revenues have fallen off a cliff for all states and cities. Most states and local jurisdictions have balanced budget mandates in their constitutions/charters meaning the only way they can deal with the shortfall is to cut services and staff since most have already burned through their “rainy day” funds. It is so sick how the media is relishing all of this.

So now the CDC “experts” are saying they may mandate we all wear masks while out in public. They had been telling us for many weeks that masks DON’T PROTECT US. CDC “experts” are nothing but bureaucratic hacks with a dartboard. As much as it pains me to say, if the President keeps listening to these “experts” his Presidency is doomed.

Perhaps you didn’t notice (I get it, I have to watch the briefings piecemeal too) that our President said he doesn’t intend to wear a mask, and made it clear that he considers it entirely voluntary.

Remember how many normal but low-political-info people are stuck home watching our President in person for the first time. They are seeing how his in-your-face authenticity simply screams honesty, and how he contrasts with the slimy bureaucrats around him.

FTA “The account that Fox News obtained the video from has also pushed other coronavirus misinformation, claiming that videos of people fainting in the streets are signs of the virus’ effects — even though fainting is not a symptom of coronavirus….
Despite the unreliability of the source that Fox News ran with to fearmonger about the outbreak in China, Fox’s News Corp.-owned sister outlet the New York Post also posted a credulous article about the sensationalist video, not mentioning the credibility issues with it.”

The date of this Media Matters article is 1/27/20. On that date the CDC issued a level III travel health notice urging Americans to avoid all nonessential travel to China due to the coronavirus. Two days later on the 29th the White House announced the formation of the Coronavirus Task Force to help monitor and contain the spread of the virus and provide updates to the President. Two days later on the 31th President Trump announced travel restrictions on China. Almost a month later 2/24/20 Pelosi walked through San Francisco’s Chinatown attempting to quell fears about the current outbreak of the coronavirus that has kept customers out of shops and restaurants and tourists away from the streets. See how leftists and the corrupt msm have it both ways without a hint of hypocrisy! President Trump and Fox New were fearmongering in January and now it’s he didn’t do enough. Little more than a month after her visit to Chinatown on 3/29/20 Pelosi goes on CNN to say the President was in denial about the virus and “What did he know, and when did he know it?” the famous Watergate question. How I loathe Democrats and the corrupt msm! God forgive me! Godspeed President Trump!

    3,711 passengers 7 deaths

One case is that of the cruise ship Diamond Princess, which achieved some notoriety from the well-publicized outbreak among its 3711 passengers and crew in January and February of 2006. Held aboard in constricted quarters, the population was subject to 3068 polymerase chain reaction (pcr) tests, which identified 634 individuals (17%) as infected, with over half of these infections (328 ) producing no symptoms. Seven infected passengers died, all of them over the age of 70. Adjusting the data for age, researchers at the London Institute of Tropical Medicine have estimated a fatality rate per infection (IFR) for the epidemic in China of 0.5% (95% CI: 0.2-1.2%) during the same period. This is far below the earlier estimates of 3.4% or greater that were promoting panic over the epidemic. See Russell et al, Estimating the infection and case fatality ratio for COVID-19 using age-adjusted data from the outbreak on the Diamond Princess cruise ship, MedRXIV 2020 at https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.03.05.20031773v2.full.pdf.
