Sure you understand, destroy the economy or every death is on President Trump. Even though we now have medication that will stop it in it’s tracks, we are not going to use it unless you can’t fill your lungs with air and are at death’s door. My goodness, if they would use the medication as soon as you test positive if would be wiped out in 2 or 3 weeks. They have known this from the first.

They can’t make money from this medication as they would make from a vaccine. Vaccines are the biggest threat to health and people should wake up and research history. What they want is mandatory vaccinations- are we going to say yes? No government should be able to mandate what goes in our body, no matter what. If we lose that right, we are doomed. http://www.learntherisk.org .

Forced vaccinations are an abomination. If someone is scared of getting sick, let them tinker with their own immune system instead of someone else’s. On a positive note, North Dakota has outlawed mandatory vaccines. To be clear, vaccines are available for voluntary use. But parents aren’t forced to subject their kids to it.

We are already forced and have complied. Every kid that attends school-public or private- has to have certain vaccinations or they don’t get to go. That ship sailed a long time ago. It just will be all inclusive for adult vaccines now too. You can bet mandatory flu vaccines are at the top of their wish list.

Blue Wildflower, I’m not sure they’ve known about the drug cocktail from the beginning, in fact they didn’t. If there was widespread testing so we knew every positive AND we had enough doses, then yes we could probably pretty much wipe it out. We don’t have the capacity at this time for widespread testing of everyone or enough doses of the medications for everyone.

In 2009-2010, H1N1 infected 65 million people in the US. If the same happens with SARS-CoV-2 we’re going to see a high number of deaths. I don’t know why Christian Lamar thinks it’s supposed to happen within the next 31 days, it will happen over the course of months. The H1N1 pandemic started in Apr 2009 and wasn’t declared over til Aug 2010.

He is going by what was said at the Presser yesterday. We were told 31 more days to practice social distancing. Yet, Governors are going beyond that and issuing stay-at-home orders and some with very strong restrictions.

31 days (so they tell us now, subject to revision/extension) for social distancing. That’s not the time limit for all deaths to occur. Sheesh, it can take 4-11 days just for symptoms to show up and then 7-15 days to kill the patient.

That guy needs to go back to grade school. Fauci and Birx aren’t saying that there’ll be 100,000 – 200,000 dead within a month. They’re saying we’ll probably have that many dead before this thing is over – which will be multiple months, even if the controls are lifted sooner. And those figures could easily be on the low side. Furthermore, you wouldn’t expect the deaths to happen evenly throughout the period in question (a month, three months, whatever) when the rate of infections is increasing rapidly. That tweet is beyond idiotic.

      • Marc says:

It’s not idiotic at all. If the pandemic ends the same time as H1N1 around August, then that gives us at most 5 more months for the virus to infect people. 150 days is about 5 months and that would mean 1333 deaths must occur daily in the US to equal 200K deaths from CoVID19.

If you have been watching the task force briefings, they are looking at all three waves of the pandemic when they discuss numbers.

We are in the first wave now. The second wave will, most likely, be in the fall, and they are developing therapeutics for it now, and also working on the vaccine (which will probably still be in trials at this time).

The third wave will be in 2021, and they are hoping to be able to utilize the new vaccine to prevent illness in the third wave.

That may be true as we have a friend who works in an NYC hospital and last week he said this was happening. He still may be incorrect but it is unlikely. However, when he mentioned it, the death rates were still low, so I don’t know how the morgues suddenly got so full, unless they were planning ahead.

Death rate is not calculated from deaths per KNOWN cases.

Over 80% of CV positive are asymptomatic and never get tested.

So divide that death rate you calculated BY 5 and you would get a much more accurate CFR.

This thing is infecting quickly but killing slowly in most cases. That’s why you can’t just divide the dead by the confirmed cases. If it were possible (it’s not, which is why incidence fatality rate has to be estimated), you would divide the deaths by the number people people who had gotten infected (whether confirmed or not) AT THE SAME TIME as the dead. That’s not a knowable denominator yet. Pending random serological testing (particularly in the U.K.) will help tighten up the estimates.

      Wrong, IMHO.

“Voters” have seen the garbage hyped by the MSM every day and know that the President wasn’t given a choice by ANYONE in the medical hierarchy. President Trump has made very smart, excellent and wisely calculated choices with his MAGA strategies thus far. There is ZERO chance he suddenly became stupid and made a huge miscalculation that ruins three years of his successful effort because of this viral pandemic..

The MSM would excoriate him if he had ignored this and allowed the country to continue operating as if the virus was not a problem. God knows how many deaths we would be seeing. Likely more than last years flu season, but the MSM will excoriate him REGARDLESS of what he does either way.

Dr. Zelenko in New York who has successfully treated covid-19 patients with hydrochloroquine and Azithromycin stated that this virus is 5 times as contagious as “regular” flu virus. And he observed that it kills roughly 50% of the patients who have to go into ICU care because of severe lung congestion due to the virus. He was not playing games with his descriptions in the interview with Rudy Giuliani. That doctor is on the front lines dealing with this, not some pointy-headed geek running numbers on a computer.

Need to be very suspicious about the hospital information coming out of New York City. There is a big difference between public hospitals and private hospitals. All of the doomsayers are quoting only public hospital data. Even the doctor on Tucker the other evening failed to tell you that he works for a public hospital. The public hospitals as one would expect are the hospitals woefully unprepared for Coronavirus. Obamacare has decimated the public hospital preparedness, exacerbated supply shortfalls and put their own healthcare providers at risk, suck as the garbage bag trick. Private hospitals are doing well.

The ties to China are many and strong. It’s not hard to imagine that Queens (and NYC metro area in general) could have similar experience as N. Italy. I pray for everyone’s safety. There will be time later–and should be–to assess how this all happened and point fingers and assign blame if necessary.

West Coast cities have huge Chinese populations too, without the high Covid #’s of NYC.

The main difference seems to be that West Coast cities shut down the Chinese New Years Festivities and Parades (which are *huge* citywide affairs lasting more than just one day), while NYC Mayor DeBlasio and City Council Members and Health Commissioner actually ENCOURAGED the “show must go on” .

Ditto for New Orleans Mayor and Mardi Gras.

It was actually pretty encouraging to see the leaders of West Coast cities do something RIGHT for once. You’d think DeBlasio et al. would have taken a clue from his Lefty buddies on the West Coast.

The garbage bag story was at Mt Sinai, which is not part of the HHC, it’s a private teaching hospital. They sent out an email the other day with some myths about the virus; one being that you can only get treatment at the hosp. Apparently people think that you must go to the hosp to get treatment. I believe that there a ton of hypochondriacs who ran to the er to get tested, which of course, puts a strain on things. Also, they might be treating Medicaid people since the test is completely covered, so that adds a strain to the system. A couple of people at my firm were infected and their doctors are telling them that if they are asymptomatic 7 days after their positive test, then they are deemed clear and there is no re-testing.

As a former clinician of many years, I offered my patients hope based on known facts whenever possible. I myself, within my profession, lived in a world of FACTS and probabilities based on those known facts. As a dentist in the 80’s, I treated AIDS patients, mostly pediatric ones, when no one else would. The fear that ANYONE could contract the disease was the standard belief. I contacted those in the know for the facts. I eventually spoke to the then acknowledged godfather of retrovirus research, Dr. Peter H. Duesberg, and obtained the facts. I treated because I now had viable facts. It was my ethical duty to search for them and act accordingly.

Which brings me to this present ‘crisis’. I have been pondering many issues regarding said pandemic but for now I have 2 questions.

    1) In regards to hydroxychloroquine usage, there are roughly 1.5-3 million individuals within the US that presently take plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) for rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and other medical conditions. Knowing this, why were not some of these patients, having been on the medication for say 6+ months, contacted for an updated medical history looking for recent hospitalizations, reason for, and recent illness with their symptoms. Followup could than include COVID-19 testing on a smaller group, following those positive and an antibodies test on those negative to determine possible seroconversion. This could have been done rather quickly and provided a wealth of useful data. Yes, I know hydroxychloroquine has now been temporarily approved, but why was the above not done sooner?? How many suffered and died, possibly needlessly??

    2) Why has there not been an urgent plea for the development and deployment of a readily available antibodies testing kit. I’ve not seen any such plea from WHO, CDC, NIH, or any free world leader. Why? Results from such a test could relief the stress and tension of millions of individuals. It would also give credence to current epidemiology projections. According to Dr. Birx last Thursday, there is a possibility that only 1 in 1,000 infected individuals have actually been counted for COVID-19. The possibility exists that there could be 10’s of millions of individuals who have seroconverted and are now NOT at risk for infection or become infectious to others. Why no push for such a kit?? I sincerely hope it’s not for the reason that such knowledge would morally, ethically, and legally free such individuals from nearly ALL lock-down mandates and edicts, restoring their personal and constitutional rights……..

      – Shorten the length
      – Restrict number of attendees per service
      – Alternate pews
      – Sit 6 feet apart
      – depending on the area, the size of church, etc., establish maximum numbers per service

I don’t know if those are valid assumptions.

i would assume the death rates are lower in Germany, US, and other countries except Italy and China because we had a head’s up and we were able to implement mitigating actions to slow the spread. Italy was totally caught off guard, and if they have a high number of travellers from China, higher than other countries, that too worked against them.

The reason Germany has a lower death rate than Italy is because Germany include in their numbers ONLY people who have died AS A RESULT of contracting the Wuhan China virus. In other words if a 95 year old patient with advanced cancer tests positive and then dies, the Germans do not attribute that person’s death to the virus. The Italians and NY however, counts that death as a Wuhan China virus death. Even though the patient displayed no symptoms. They need a high death toll. They don’t care what they have to do to get it. These people are evil

      Excellent read fro Dr. Lee.

Of particular note is Iceland which has the widest testing of any country (see Dr. Lee’s March 26 article):
      Up to March 26 – Mortality rate 0.3% (648 cases, 2 deaths)
      Up to March 29 – Mortality rate 0.18% (1,086 cases, 2 deaths)

Iceland has a relatively small population, so may not represent an ideal example. With so few deaths, their results are quite ‘granular’.

“Colleagues in Germany feel sure that their numbers are nearer the truth than most, because they had plenty of testing capacity ready when the pandemic struck. Currently (Mar 29) the death rate is 0.8 percent in Germany. If we assume that about one-third of the recorded deaths are due to COVID-19 and that they have managed to test a third of all cases in the country who actually have the disease (a generous assumption), then the death rate for COVID-19 would be 0.08 percent.”

As they say, “it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity”. Or, in this case “it’s not the mortality rate, it’s the infection rate”.

We have to crush the curve (and we are – see https://covid19.healthdata.org/projections)

Just listening to Alex Jones and he had a trucker call in . He says the small mom and pop truckers have been left out of this stimulus , since they don’t meet the minimum requirements and they need access to lines of credit to buy equipment and maintain their standards . Also all the truckers are working up to 90 hrs a week and they are not getting relief due to not enough testing and being able to get new drivers through the DMV . The guy was in tears . Literally he says they are the backbone , if they collapse we’re done . Please get the message to President Trump he says . Careful here. The current conditions are pushing the trucking companies that were marginal to begin with over the edge. Understand though there has been a shortage of drivers for quite some time. Even before Trump was elected trade journals were saying that the shortage was about 33,000 and growing and then came the economic boom. So any qualified trucker with a decent record can find work if the company they are working for goes under.

Heck the reason why was teaming for a month recently was to help the company hold on to a darn good driver until he found a new team partner.

Another example of DOJ FBI withholding evidence of the Seth Rich murder. We didn’t investigate it. When sued by Butowsky, we searched our central filing system, showing no investigation was opened, therefore responded we had no records. When Stzrok and Page emails to each other about the Rich murder surfaced, the answer was, there was no investigation, just non-substantive communucations about a non investigation. Now an AUSA swears under oath that the FBI did examine the laptop, but any information is redacted due to ongoing investigation.

It is ever clearer that the DOJ FBI continue to use their power and authority to hide all evidence of their own great crimes during the 2016 election cycle. To the Trump administration and reelection campaign I would ask, why should your supporters re-elect you if you cannot clean out the witch hunt you spent more than two years complaining about? You didn’t clean it out, so now it’s your witch hunt. It leaves the appearance of weakness and incompetence.

This is wrong, all that protective equipment that nobody could figure out how NY was using so much, Cuomo just said its in a warehouse and they are stockpiling it, hoarding it. Arrest Cuomo for hoarding equipment and supplies. He lied, hospitals across this nation had to give up their own equipment so NY could “stockpile” it. Cuomo just made himself the person who decides what states get what, but NY will get everything first. This is so disgusting and wrong. Arrest Cuomo today.

Interesting, the Madison County (AL) agencies (cities, county gov, hospitals) did their daily briefing. The CEO of Huntsville Hospital said they can’t get enough supplies from Rousch to do the testing they need to do, he said they should be doing 500 tests a day and have the lab to process them. Huntsville hospital is the busiest hospital in the state, yet they fall below Quest, LabCorp, UAB (University of Alabama) in priority for testing supplies.

Huntsville Hospital has 800 in-patients currently and 8 COVID pt’s in the region with 2 on ventilators and I think he said 56 in-patients were waiting test results. 1 out-of-100 i–patients are COVID-19 patients

79 confirmed cases in Madison county, so 10% of confirmed cases are hospitalized and about 0.4% of confirmed cases are on ventilators.

They did 250 tests yesterday when he said they should be doing 500. They had to close their “flu” clinic today that filters and tests up to 250-300 people a day. They’re hoping to have supplies by this afternoon so they can open it tomorrow.
