***Today’s WeBuildTheWall / Fisher Industries posts***
    (Previous posts: https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2020/03/24/march-24th-2020-presidential-politics-trump-administration-day-1160/comment-page-1/#comment-7970764)

Note: Most of the WBTW related social media accounts are covering coronavirus, politics, or illegal alien crimes. We will probably be in a quiet period regarding wall content until the next project(s) are near completion.
The praises (much of which are older news) have been provided for those who wish to give thanks for them before praying for the wall prayer requests. I may add to, trim back, or simplify from time to time as projects/events progress or come to completion. If there is any new wall news I’ll list them in the update below. Otherwise, feel free to page down or scroll past.
    – – – – –
    Tuesday night update – 3/24/20

    – Just posting the prayer post today.

    – – – – –
***Praise: 🧱 (Project 1: May/June 2019)… WBTW/Fisher Industries was able to build a half mile wall up the side of a mountain in 11 days (with zero safety incidents), cutting off 19 major drug cartel trails, and closing off one of the worst areas along the border… (Sunland Park, NM)
***Praise: 👍 (11/20/19)… DHS Secretary Chad Wolf & CBP Chief gave a huge endorsement to WeBuildTheWall while visiting Project 1. CBP Chief called it a “Game Changer”. It’s the only time CBP or DHS have ever endorsed a wall builder.
***Praise: 🧱 (12/2/19)… Fisher Sand & Gravel was awarded a $400M border wall contract to build 31 miles of wall in the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge in Yuma County, Arizona.
(Fisher receives $268M of this $400M project)(Estimated contract completion date is Dec 30, 2020.)

***Praise: (12/4/19)… Brian Kolfage & his family were given the opportunity to visit the White House.
***Praise: While the Temporary Restraining Order(s) were in place, Fisher Industries and crews were still able to keep working on some aspects of Project 2 from the Dec. 5th hearing to Dec 12th (after which they were off for the holidays).
***Praise: (Jan 3)… Judge Crane lifted/removed section 8b from the TRO so that Fisher was able to continue to “shave, grade, or cut the riverbank.”
***Praise: (Jan 9)… Judge Crane lifted/removed the TROs from both the Federal government’s lawsuit (on behalf of the IBWC) and the North American Butterfly Association’s lawsuit (on behalf of Marianna Trevino-Wright’s National Butterfly Center) against Fisher Sand and Gravel Co.
***Praise: 🧱 (Project 2 complete: Feb 17)… Fisher Industries was able to build 3.5 miles of wall along the Rio Grande River in Mission, Texas. Project 2’s “water wall” design is the first border wall that’s ever been built inside the flood plain.

***Praise: 🔍 (Reported on 12/18/19)… Senator Kevin Cramer was able to complete his in-depth review of the USACE’s procurement process and send a letter with his findings and recommendations to President Trump on 12/6/19.
***Praise: (Feb 6)… Rep. Warren Petersen’s (R-AZ) bill, HB 2084, making it easier to build border wall on private property in Arizona, passed AZ House on reconsideration with 31-29 party line vote. Next, it goes to the Senate.

🙏 Prayer for the work crews. 🙏
Heavenly Father, we pray in Jesus’ name:
    – for safety and health for the work crews and their families while they stay home during the temporary work shutdown; for safety and good weather for the work crews when they start up work again on Project 3 & 4; that they would be able to continue uninterrupted until completion
    – for WBTW/Fisher Industries regarding the ongoing lawsuits; that the lawsuits would be dismissed.
(Feb 5)… Judge Randy Crane granted a 60-day extension to all parties. The three sides will reconvene on April 8.
    – that WBTW would be able to find corporate sponsors for Project 3. (They already have a major construction equipment manufacturer and are looking for a solar LED security lighting manufacturer or supplier.)

    – that the DoD IG’s office audit of the $400 million border wall contract which the USACE awarded Fisher Sand & Gravel would show everything is fair and above board; that the swamp in DoD and USACE wouldn’t be able to corrupt the process; & that Fisher would be authorized to proceed with the project as planned.

    – that Rep. Warren Petersen’s (R-AZ) bill,HB 2084, making it easier to build border wall on private property in Arizona would get passed.
(Feb 6)… The bill passed AZ house on reconsideration with 31-29 party line vote. Next, it goes to the Senate.

    – for the bi-national summit with the Mexican IBWC and American politicians that WBTW will be hosting; for open lines of communication/understanding; and that WBTW/Fisher Industries would learn what they need to know to facilitate the sign off and approval of their projects by the Mexican IBWC.

    – for 100% safety/health/guidance/direction for the work crews, security personnel, legal teams, CBP, DHS, Army and all involved in Project’s 2, 3, 4, and other projects; and for WBTW/Fisher Industries as they work with private landowners to secure more property to build on
    – that work would go smoothly with continual, innovative improvements in method/process/efficiency and quality of construction; and with transitioning as they scale up capacity(manpower, equipment, etc.) to build larger projects
    – that there would be no outside interference (cartels, IBWC, courts/judges, protesters, swamp, etc.) and that if outside interference takes place that it would only work toward WBTW/Fisher Industries/USA’s benefit (exposing corruption, raising awareness, fundraising, etc.)

    – that Project 2’s wall will prove that the design is sound and that WBTW/Fisher Industries are capable of safely and effectively building it on a large scale in the Rio Grande Valley, with a superior build, at the lowest price
    – that the federal government would provide funding for WBTW/Fisher Industries to build 250+ miles of wall on Private Property in Texas
    – that the Government would purchase all of WBTW/Fisher Industries projects so the funds can be rolled into future projects and Fisher Industries will be able to scale up with additional equipment and manpower as needed.

COVID-19 And Some Thoughts on Data Analysis

“The data we have sucks, and thus any conclusions we are drawing mostly suck too. The data is worse than just being incomplete or bad — if it was randomly distributed, we could live with that. But the lack of test kits and how we have deployed the few we have means that the data is severely biased. We are only testing people who are strongly symptomatic. If there is a normal distribution of outcomes from this disease, we are only testing on the right side of the distribution. We have no idea where the median is or how long the tail is to the left side of asymptomatic outcomes. The only thing we absolutely know about the disease is its not as deadly as the media is portraying as we are missing hundreds of thousands of cases in the denominator of the mortality rates. The media has also been terrible about reporting on risk factors of those who died. When a bunch of people died suddenly in Seattle, one had to read down 5 paragraphs into the story to find that they were all over 70 in an old-age home. Or when prime-of-life people die, facts such as their being type 1 diabetics — a known severe risk factor for this virus (and one that makes it different from the flu) are left out.”

I think part of the reason for the shift toward ending this shutdown soon is that he has enrolled Fauci and the other health bureaucrats in Trump University; it isn’t enough for them to come up with an answer, he wants to see their working.

Yes. One would think it would be reasonably prudent to apply another coronavirus strain (SARS) and outbreaks (H1N1) as a benchmark. Certainly not indicating that the virulence is the same…just is logical in taking this into account.

I talked to two people today on the frontlines.

1st, I went to the grocery store, and talked to the cashier. She said almost everybody had been very nice, the only people who were being mean to them were people who were angry something was sold out and that they couldn’t tell them when they’d have more. She said other than that, everybody has been really nice and some even thanked her for working. I of course made sure to thank her for coming to work today and she smillllllled.

I also ordered a pizza, then went and picked it up. The pizza hut has a little bell you ring when you go in because they’re usually in the back (it’s just a delivery or pickup place, no restauraunt). So I went up to the counter and rang the bell. 10 seconds later a 20 year old girl showed up, and said “I’m sorry, I was all the way in the back!” so I told her oh don’t worry about it, I just came in! So she got my pizza, and said “I’m not allowed to open it anymore to show it to you, do you want to check it?” she was very nervous and kind of humble the whole time.

So I told her no, don’t worry about it… then she said sheepishly that the pen (to sign the receipt) had already been sanitized. I told her I wasn’t worried about it and she seemed a little relieved (?)…. then I said “Thank you for coming in and working for us!” and she kind of anxiously said that she was just so happy that they hadn’t shut her job down yet.

This kind of stuff, especially the pizza girl, kind of pisses me off. It’s infuriating that such a nice girl, and young, doesn’t have much money, working a low level job, has to worry about the government destroying her life. She’s like 20, she’s very low risk and they’ve got her literally scared to death about everything from whether she took too long to get to the register, whether the pen is clean enough, and whether she’ll have a job tomorrow.

They just announced today in Mecklenburg county we’re on lockdown starting Thursday. I don’t know if that means she can’t go to work or what. Absolutely infuriating.

The only person in the government that I’ve seen that even ‘gets’ it is President Trump. None of our local leaders get it. Not one of them would know why I’m pissed. I don’t even know that pizza girl. All of our leaders are completely out of touch with normal people.

There is a hierarchy among these weirdo globalist CEO’s. At the top is Elon Musk. He’s a generally good guy, very smart, trying to help. He’s a leftist, a globalist, but he’s still an inventor at heart so he’s still pretty ‘normal’.

Then there’s somebody like Bill Gates, he’s actually a pretty good guy too, complete globalist shill but he thinks he’s saving the planet.

Then Tim Apple, etc. and all the way down at the bottom of the list is Bezos. The guy is a complete scumbag, is actively exploiting anybody and everybody he can for whatever sick reasons he finds.

So my point is, the type of bullshit Bezos pulls someone like Tim Apple would never pull because he is at least still trying to be decent. If you move up to Musk he’s generally a good soul who when given the opportunity will generally do the right thing.

Sorry but this isn’t rational. Catturd is comparing final results of 2009 H1N1 with our current SARS-CoV-2 situation. Wait until the final numbers are in for SARS-CoV-2.

      Addiotional factors:

      1) Trump’s early monitoring, testing, and travel restrictions saved lives
      2) The hard push to get people to stay away from each other has had an impact, though certainly not as big as it could have because some people are stupid
      3) The H1N1 pandemic really started in the US (via a small number, was it one?, cases incoming from Mexico), compared to SARS-CoV-2 starting half way around the world so we had a heads up before it arrived here.

Actually, the odds of winning are far greater:

Catharine Paules and Kanta Subbarao presented in their Seminar (Aug 12, 2017, p 697) the clinical features, therapeutic options, and controversies regarding treatment and prevention of seasonal influenza infection.
Although they acknowledged that influenza can impair different organ systems, little attention was given to cardiovascular consequences. Ischaemic heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide and influenza vaccination could reduce cardiovascular mortality, particularly in patients with coronary heart disease for whom cardiovascular mortality risk has been reported to be halved (!!!!!!) by influenza vaccination.
Although this conclusion relies on moderate-quality randomised placebo-controlled trials enrolling a small number of patients followed up for up to 1 year,  the possible reduction of cardiovascular disease burden in patients with coronary heart disease is huge.

Laura Ingraham’s interview with Anthony Fauci tonight did little to inspire faith in his decision making ability in a crisis. As he talked with Laura it was clear that he completely locked into a “empirical trial” mindset which, simply put, means that he is intellectually incapable of moving beyond his hard-data mindset—he may or may not come up with an effective treatment for the Chinee virus in a year or so . . . Even worse, because he is so locked into his bureaucratic-empiricist mindset, he will never approve a proven medication like Hydroxychloroquine despite its clear track-record for combating the Chinese virus. People are going to die because of this guy. Trump needs to get rid of him ASAP.

The reason doctors no longer take chances is because they get sued by just about everyone who has an outcome less than perfection. Insurance companies settle almost 95 percent of cases because they fear what a “compassionate” jury will award a suffering family, spouse, victim and children. Lawyers have learned this and on with the litigation. So, the results are doctors who practice simple medicine and won’t go the extra mile to help a patient. This is direct orders of the AMA.

Fauci has a medical degree he has never used to treat patients. He went directly from medical school to a career as a bureaucrat. He has no practical experience in the world of real life medicine.

What I wondered is if he was given a placebo in the ‘clinical study’ he would willingly take part in, got really sick and was on his death bed, would he still be poo-poohing PDJT’s enthusiasm for ‘right to try’?

That’s the problem with putting bureaucrats in charge of public health. Mike Rowe without a medical degree could do better. POTUS is doing better, even as he steps aside to let those who are most qualified to lead.

He didn’t want to piss off the pharmaceutical companies that have been paying him to find all these years, so he dodged the question on whether he would take the malria drug himself. He’s hiding behind the scientific jargon.

Fauci may have years of experience with bureaucratic medical administration and a broad educational background BUT, he has never been a medical practitioner.

That is eyes and hands on another person as a History of the Present Illness is fleshed in. The day to day health care practitioner has been given short shrift to counter the COVIG-19 illness.

“… are perfectly rational positions for an epidemiologist to take.

“That’s why we need to listen to people other than epidemiologists.”

Today, the epidemiologists are prepared to nuke the entire American economy to kill a virus.

What about the jobs, the suicides, the heart attacks, the lost careers, the destruction of America’s wealth?

      Oh, that’s not my field.

Governor Blackface(or KKK robe) in my state has shut down schools until September and so called non-essential business for 30 days. Such an idiotic move. Psychologically especially since he is telling people, “yeah, this won’t be ending soon”. While it may not end soon, you certainly don’t extinguish the hope people have that it could improve.

He also said. “People are just going to have to realize they have to live with some sacrifices now”.

Chances are decent this virus will still be around until an effective vaccine is found. Which may be a couple years. While it may be seasonal and dissipate at times, it may not. Are these mayors and Governors going to cancel schools and destroy businesses until a vaccine one day arrives? None of them have an endgame whatsoever to this nightmare(which they themselves have made much worse)

I believe you are correct. I also believe the plan is to develop a “herd immunity” by systematically allowing a certain percentage of the population to be exposed to the virus, just not too much at one time. That’s the only way out of this. A longer lockdown does no good. It just delays the inevitable.

No vaccine is required if there is a viable treatment which kills the Chinese virus.
Of course, Hydrochloroquinilone increases the QT interval, and can exacerbate psoriasis, but most people can handle the requisite 1g daily for 6-7 days…
The leftards must be gnashing their teeth and wailing at the thought it may turn out to be efficacious!

An Australian vignette: Having ordered all hotels, clubs, nightclubs and any other licensed premises to close, the Western Australian Government has introduced alcohol restrictions.
You may now purchase 1 carton of beer OR 3 bottles of wine OR 1 litre of spirits.
This is supposedly done on advice from police, who don’t want people who have had their business or job arbitrarily destroyed, their retirement nest-egg superannuation trashed, and who now will be unable to keep up the mortgage repayments or pay rent, to be allowed to drink too much.
I swear that Lewis Carroll must be writing the script for all this.

Alcatraz was returned to the Native Americans. It is now part if a Reservation so nothing can be done on the island without consent of the tribal counsel. However, there are several islands (Channel Islands) other than Catalina Island that are uninhabited that could be used. On the upside, those islands are patrolled by numerous great white sharks.

I think the peak is within the next 4 days in the US with daily deaths. NY just has to peak. Cuomo is full of it about the rest of the country being behind NY time wise. WA and CA the evidence says got it first and FL, TX and NY got it about the same time after that.
