If you weren’t already certain that Chris Wallace is both sanctimonious and hypocritical, then read this article. It’s in reference to Acosta’s behavior in India.

FTA-Wallace said he is concerned Trump’s attacks on the press have made reporters feel they have “an excuse or license to cross the line themselves and become players on the field.

“I think that is a huge mistake,” Wallace said. “It’s not our role. Our role is to be observers, umpires, fact-checkers, investigators — it’s not to be advocates. It’s not to be opponents”

Several articles etc talking about Bernie’s heart issues and medical records and disclosure etc, Sure it is an issue but Biden’s mental acuity is as serious, or even more so, an issue and there should be some testing disclosure on that, you don’t want him to mistake the nuclear button for a room service button

As much as the Deep State would greatly prefer Pence over PDJT, I think PDJT made a very clever move because ONCE THEY ACTUALLY START LOOKING here, just as with everywhere else where that has happened, cases are going to skyrocket, FALSELY looking like massive exponential growth and spread when it’s just an artifact of actually beginning to test and finding already existing cases. That’s exactly what’s happening big time in South Korea right now:

          https://pbs.twimg.com/media/ERvt2TfWAAE2E_i?format=jpg&name=900×900

Right now the CDC is using insanely selective criteria for testing. If the CA hospital hadn’t somehow gotten the CDC to violate their own testing rules, the UNCONNECTED to any other COVID-19 case just found in CA would NOT have even been found and that’s according to an MD’s video just posted today!

BTW, when the already existing cases in the US begin to be found, the stock market is probably going to crash like we haven’t seen in a very long time.

Say Zippy ,sure looks like you co authored this article,
“New York (CNN Business)A market meltdown. Surging recession fears. And a sudden spotlight on America’s health care system. Goldman Sachs is warning Wall Street that the coronavirus could cost President Donald Trump the election.

The potential political fallout from the coronavirus adds yet more uncertainty for investors trying to assess the impact of the fast-moving epidemic.
“If the coronavirus epidemic materially affects US economic growth it may increase the likelihood of Democratic victory in the 2020 election,” Goldman Sachs analysts led by Ben Snider wrote in a report published Wednesday night.
That could be a negative for stocks because investors have been hoping for a continuation of the low-tax, light-regulation approach of the Trump administration. And Trump of course has been laser-focused on boosting stock prices.”

My hunch is that President Trump is on top of it even if he is delegating on paper.

That said, I know most of the reluctant GOP swamp dwellers would really be happier if Pence were president and probably have dreams of Pence 2024 as an easy way to get back to business as usual after eight years (just like Bush Sr. piggy-backed on President Reagan’s successes).

By putting the blame for any COVID failures on Pence though, it puts them in a precarious position… if they try to hurt President Trump with it, he jujitsu’s it onto Pence and can take the opportunity to announce he is replacing Pence as his running mate with one entirely of his choice (i.e. Pro-MAGA) and has the political cover to do so.

So hold their fire now and give President four more years to get his job done with Pence as lead in 2024… or try to hurt President Trump now and make a new Pro-MAGA VP the lead contender in 2024 (and, at best, drop his victory from 400+ to 300+ electoral votes).

      President Trump wins either way.

Agree this was a pre-emptive move. Since the Democrats have tried and failed to reverse the Don’s course for nigh on 4 years, and with the neverTrumpers hanging right there with them every step of the way, something drastic had to occur to take attention away from the abysmal clown show that is The Democrat Primary season.

Since the clowns to the left are falling all over their huge feet, it is time for the jokers on the right to spend time in the big UniParty tent, barking for the crowd to stampede . . .

Zippy, it’s not in the least unusual for a President to designate his Vice President as the person to deal with either a crisis or regular day-to-day business of the Administration. In V.P. “The FBI agent who ran the bureau’s warrantless spying program said Wednesday he warned ex-Director James Comey and his deputy, Andrew McCabe that the program was a useless waste of taxpayer money that needlessly infringed Americans’ civil liberties but his bosses refused to take action.

Retired Special Agent Bassem Youssef ran the FBI’s Communications Analysis Unit from late 2004 until his retirement in late 2014. He told Just the News he fears the deeply flawed program, which was started in response to the Sept. 11 attacks, was allowed to keep going to give Americans a false sense of security in the war on terror and possibly to enable inappropriate spying, such as that which targeted President Trump’s 2016 campaign.”

I feel sorry for the truly mentally ill homeless in CA cities, left to rot in tent camps on the filthy streets of SF, LA, etc. by insane Dem politicians. When C Virus gets into these camps, Pelosi and Newsom will scream and blame you-know-who.

Years ago 60 minutes had a piece on new (black) police chief in Savannah GA who put in place new rules for homeless: Vagrancy was made a crime. He closed the public shelter which had no rules on taking a shower, keeping clean, etc. So if you were on the street, you could go to jail and be forced to take a shower or go to Salvation Army shelter and take a shower and follow their rules.

If the FBI stopped their criminal political activities, maybe they could use their talents to put a dent in this corrupting, personal destruction of our people.

With the spread of coronavirus worldwide it’s predicted it will begin to hit the US pretty soon.

Like previous epidemics the worst effects are likely to be evident among the lowest strata of society. That includes the homeless living in poor conditions and area where sanitation and crowding are worst.

We can anticipate populations of homeless individuals and areas where illegal aliens are prominent will suffer high incidence of infection with concomitant mortality. “Sanctuary” states with large populations of both types are likely hit hardest.

Expect a great hue and cry over the plight of these states, albeit their wounds are in part self-inflicted. Hard to tell when this will begin to unwind, but perhaps in the next few months.

Mother Nature has a habit of imposing self-correction on aberrant phenomena. Come to think of it there are parallel Biblical allegories that some people might consider applicable.

OTOH in California and other places that allow massive squalor in homeless “camps” there’s potential for rapid spread should the infection gain a toehold.

Massive public health efforts could keep the threat under control. I’ve become out of the loop re: buzz within the public health community. https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/cdc-waited-days-test-californias-latest-mystery-patient-coronavirus-nyt

By the time President Trump kicked off his coronavirus press conference last night, top officials in California’s Department of Health were preparing an announcement of their own in conjunction with the CDC: They were preparing to confirm a Washington Post report about a new coronavirus patient whose infection was of unknown provenance.

Californian health officials could have known about the infection – and thus taken the critical early steps to quarantine the individual – days earlier if it weren’t for restrictive federal criteria determining when federal or state officials can use one of the limited number of coronavirus testing kits available in the US.

When the patient, who reportedly lives somewhere in Solano County, was first admitted to Davis Medical Center a week ago, doctors suspected she might have the virus. But they weren’t able to secure a test…

Doctors at the University of California, Davis Medical Center considered the novel pathogen a possible diagnosis when the patient was first admitted last week.

But the federal agency that conducts the testing did not administer the test until days later because the case did not fit the agency’s narrow testing criteria, university officials said in a letter to the campus community late Wednesday.

    …Because the case didn’t fit the CDC’s ‘criteria’…

The C.D.C. has restricted testing to patients who either traveled to China recently or who know they had contact with someone infected with the coronavirus.

…Even though the patient was already on a ventilator and suffering from severe pneumonia when she arrived at UC Davis from another hospital in Northern California.

The patient was transferred to the medical center from another hospital in Northern California with a suspected viral infection, and was already on a ventilator upon arrival, according to the university’s letter.

Interestingly the NYT never explains why the patient – who also happens to be the 60th confirmed case in the US – was finally given a test.

“Upon admission, our team asked public health officials if this case could be Covid-19,” the letter said. The medical center requested testing from the C.D.C. “Since the patient did not fit the existing C.D.C. criteria for Covid-19, a test was not immediately administered. U.C. Davis Health does not control the testing process.”

How soon EVERYBODY forgets there was a reported uptick in illegal immigration into CA by Chinese immigrants. This report came out just before China Inc. announced the virus. I am skeptical that this is a “native” case. Illegal immigrants are the perfect vector for this type of biological attack.

Otherwise the testing process does need to be fixed. Given the lack of kits, the lack of believable data from China and the fact there are not enough reliable kits due to actual time between reliable information and manufacturing of reliable is not surprising.

As much as I do not like the CDC, they deserve a chance to get a handle on this.

My question is why did the hospital believe it was the novel virus if the patient did not fit the cdc profile? What made them even think in the first place it could be the Coronavirus? I’m just curious as to why they would have asked to test her and not all the other cases with flu like symptoms.

Just saw a lung specialist doc on Tucker who said the most definitive test that he and his colleagues, who have been studying corona virus. is a CT scan of the lungs. The pattern this corona caused pneumonia leaves distinctive markings that show up on CT scans. So they do have more than just the tests to confirm this disease. The doctor said that ERs should be told to use CT to really confirm the disease.

I remember reading about a guy who left the CDC a few years ago. https://www.newsweek.com/missing-cdc-employee-timothy-cunningham-skipped-over-promotion-823739
He feared for his life and he left his family, house, friends, everything and just disappeared telling them the he was going to blow the whistle on the CDC. Then he was found dead. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2018/04/05/cdc-scientist-found-dead-atlanta-after-m
I wondered at the time if he was just crazy. Now I wonder what is going on within the CDC.

When I was doing ER nursing about 5 yrs ago and Ebola was the scare, we had to practice every month with our hazmat suits and everyone who came to triage was screened for Ebola risk 24/7, we were trained on how to take a sample to send to a special lab. And this was in a fairly small city in Finger lakes NY. We almost never got anything but run of the mill white folk who never in their life left their home town never mind travelling to Africa. I thought it very strange months ago that ER’s across the Country were not preparing to screen for Coronavirus risk factors. Something is definitely going down. We already know the virus was engineered in a lab. I am with those who believe this is being done to bring down our economy and cause death and disease in our Country. This reeks of Globalism warfare.

First of all, thanks for your input from a medical profession perspective.

As I and some medical professionals (where I get MY data since I’m not a medical professional myself) have said, the RIDICULOUSLY restrictive COVID-19 testing criteria from the CDC -WILL NOT- catch community outbreaks.

Their excessively restrictive crtiteria may be due to a limited number of test kits, but that doesn’t wash well since other countries, like South Korea, manage to conduct many thousands of tests with no problems.

The CDC has just been forced to do less restrictive testing thanks to a NYT article showing that the CA case just discovered with no known connections to any other COVID-19 infected persons WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CAUGHT if CDC testing criteria had not been violated!

“Upon admission, our team asked public health officials if this case could be COVID-19,” the memo says. “Since the patient did not fit the existing CDC criteria for COVID-19, a test was not immediately administered.”

Also symptomless carriers have spread the virus to other people. And it has a relatively high mortality rate of 2%.

From April 12, 2009 to April 10, 2010, CDC estimated there were 60.8 million cases (range: 43.3-89.3 million), 274,304 hospitalizations (range: 195,086-402,719), and 12,469 deaths (range: 8868-18,306) in the United States due to the (H1N1)pdm09 virus. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/pandemic-resources/2009-h1n1-pandemic.html

If we had 60.8 million cases of coronavirus. with the current fatality rate of 2% it would cause 1.2 million deaths. We were lucky with H1N1, it was relatively mild in most people. Coronavirus is not mild.

When you have a virus in circulation that virtually nobody is immune to, it’s going to spread rapidly. The only reason why nobody panicked about H1N1 is because it was relatively mild in most people. Notice the time frame of the H1N1 info, the thing spread during an entire year. It started circulating in the Spring of 2009. I fell ill from it in August 2009. WHO didn’t declare an end of the pandemic until August 2010, a full year after I became ill.
