Nevada Caucus Election Results and Discussion – 4:00pm

The Nevada Caucuses are taking place today to select the Democrat presidential candidate. For the first time this year Nevada had early caucuses voting last week and there were a great deal of votes cast.

Caucuses begin at Noon local time, 3:00pm Eastern.  Due to early caucus voting we should start to see some results around 4:00pm to 4:30pm as precincts call-in their results.

Amazing, I bet a bunch of us could write a better app than the DNC’s “app experts” haphazardly threw together. In line with ancient thought, one screw up, well that could be an accident or plain bad luck. The second time it happens makes us suspicious. And three times out, gotta be a definite pattern of bad performance.

For sure, the DNC: can’t trust ’em as far as a weak man could throw ’em. Such a show of utter incompetence won’t help their electoral cause, not at all. Let’s just call ’em the gang that couldn’t think straight. They have no business being in charge of anything to do with running a big, beautiful, powerful country.

  3. I think Bernie is McGovern 2.0 , who had the youth antiwar enthusiasm similar to Bernie Bro’s socialism enthusiasm, but was soundly rejected by voters in 1972 general election. A Bloomberg run as independent is interesting, but if he doesn’t steal (buy ) nomination from Bernie he will focus on financing Congress and Senate Dems and be the Daddy Warbucks hero for them . He doesn’t have the fire/juice to mount an Independent run IMHO

      So he does, actually.

If Bernie Sanders is the Democrat nominee, MASSES of suburban Democrats will STAY HOME on election day.

Q: What happens to Democrat congressional candidates when Democrats stay home?
      A: They LOSE.

Bloomberg needs to run as an independent to give Suburban Democrats A REASON TO SHOW UP on Election Day.

Their was a gent on one of Bannon’s shows Christian Hanson that predicted the Bloomberg-Clinton teaming months ago. He is predicting a Bloomberg Indy or some other surrogate to run as the Clinton’s attempt to re-create 1992 all over again and steal it away from PDJT where as GHWB stepped in it and deserved his own defeat.

I do not rule out the Clinton’s thowing a major 3rd party candidate into the mix to throw a monkey wrench in the gear box….

Bloomberg inspires nobody. The idea that he can drive voter turnout is absurd. I don’t know how he got to Clint Eastwood but he can’t buy everyone. When Bloomberg is on the ballot his votes won’t be coming out of Bernie’s count. Plus Bernie is getting the Warren supporters as she continues to fade. The basic problem for the dems is that nobody acceptable for a general election can win the purity spiral of wokeness and get the nomination. If someone is going to push Bloomberg to the top it’s not going to be the voters. Also the Nevada vote was boring. Bernie won big and it lasted like a half hour. I was hoping for another mess.

OK. So a lot of people don’t really understand how elections work.

People either show up and vote their party preference, or they don’t show up.
There are almost no “swing voters.” There are only voters who might not bother showing up if they don’t like their party’s candidate.
Bernie Sanders has a large percentage of those voters. I’d speculate at least a third of Democrats. It’s not about Bloomberg “taking” votes from Sanders. He won’t. He would get some portion of the 33%+ of Democrats who were going to sit out the election. Those Democrats will vote for the D in their local House race.

He tried to astro turf a 3rd party run in 2008. he funded a site that tried to pick an independent person to run, it seemed like a good idea and movement to start because it wasn’t pushing him, but it soon changed to push him and then became obvious what was going on….

Bernie scares me just because of what he stands for and he has a very motivated and loyal following. Remember all the democrats wanted Trump to win his primary too…
I believe Trump should win 50-0 against any of these people currently running,.

However, I would still like to see the least offensive of the democrats win cause you never know how the vote may go. I don’t like any of the options but I guess Bloomberg would be the least worst option of that clown show.

      sherry,
I suspect thats part of the ‘problem’with the app. They want to prevent any candidate from bussing in caucus goers.

So, like for the general, they have to confirm that every person entering, is a registered voter in that voting district.

I strongly suspect, and believe I read, that the ‘app’in Iowa was SUPPOSED to ‘speed’ that process up, but slowed it down.

      Liked by 2 people

      • Dutchman, thank you. I really didn’t have any idea because when I vote in the primary here I show my ID, they look up my name, get my paper ballot, fill it out and put it in the scanner or ballot box. I didn’t know how they did it by raising their hands and having second and third choices. It sounds difficult to keep track of who is legally voting. Are non-registered voters not even allowed in the rooms?

Never BEEN in a caucus, but thats my understanding.
And what you describe is a little more complicated, when seen from the other side of the clipboard.
As,a poll worker, in a general election, I had to check several lists; one was voters who had been registered for years.
But, a SECOND was voters who had only recently, but within the time limit, registered.
For some reason, they printed the first list, well before the deadline, so we needed two lists.
Seems to me their was a 3rd, but can’t recall.
And, for the general we started with registered ‘affilliation’,,I think. So, one person with lists for Dems, one for Reps, one for Indies. I think, its been YEARS.
But I remember several of us, sitting side by side, and thumbing through lists, to find the voter and confirm they were registered.
So, its more complicated than it looks, from the voters view.

Thats why I love the fact that the media is joining with the Dems in attacking Sanders with this Russia hoax stuff – it just underlines how corrupt and fake both the DNC and media are, but in this case, for a different demographic, that would not otherwise have had any reason to doubt them before this. Every time the DNC and media use this Russia-hoax on Bernie, they are cementing an even greater portion of the population in the unavoidable understanding and belief that the DNC and the media are both corrupt liars, and are working together. Of course we’ve all known this for years, but when they alienate the only enthusiastic supporters the Dems have like this, those folks aren’t ever going to be able to trust either the DNC or the media again, because they, too, will KNOW that they are corrupt scheming liars.

Brennan is just a deep state tool, not an architect.

Progressives created civil service long ago

FDR made government much larger and more powerful, but even he couldn’t trust it to work for him. He had relied on his own little army of Giulianis to gather foreign information and negotiations.

Truman laid the groundwork for the IC type police state we have.

        Kennedy unionized government employees.

Johnson and Nixon further expanded government.

Carter created the SES separating government from political control. And he created the Department of Education. And the FISC to legitimate illegal spying.

        Bush signed the Patriot Act.

Clinton and Obama weaponized it all. With Obama being the greater offender.

I am sure to have missed much. We are frogs who are quietly accepting being in boiling water because the Deep State has been incrementally foisted upon us over many years.

The architects are many. The Presidents get all the credit and blame.

Brennan may be an architect of the coup, but he is just a Deep State tool.

Thats one way to look at it.
Another is that it is CONgress that created the administrative state.

The POTUS is constitutionally obligated by his oath of office, to see the laws are fathfully executed; laws that Congress passes.

So, as Congress passed more laws, presidents HAD to create more departments, and enlarge existing departments, in order to meet that obligation.

And, departments rely on CONGRESS for their budgets, so it can be argued that although administrative state is a part of the EXECUTIVE branch, it is really a creature created by, and beholden to, the LEGISLATIVE branch.

Sanders has a real shot now, as he has gone from a distant 3rd to a close 2nd. A big NV win could push him into 1st there. If this happens…..look for utter panic at DNC Hdqtrs going into Super Tuesday 🙂
