Two-Tiered Justice – DOJ Informs Andrew McCabe He Will Not Be Prosecuted for Lying to FBI Investigators (3 Times, Under Oath)…

The Department of Justice has informed former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe he will not face criminal prosecution for lying to FBI investigators.  The lawyers for Andrew McCabe shared the DOJ letter:

The DOJ inspector general had previously sent a criminal referral based on the OIG investigation of Mr. McCabe leaking to the media and then lying to FBI investigators four times, three times under oath in 2017, about his activity.  [OIG Report HERE]

During an immediate appearance on CNN the former FBI Deputy Director criticized the Department of Justice for putting his “family through this experience.”  McCabe said it was an “insult” and a “disgrace” for the DOJ to put him through this for two years.

Lawyers for Mr. McCabe released the following statement:

As a reminder, this was the previous summary from an investigation carried out by the Office of Inspector General:

  16. It was the height of naivete to expect a house-cleaning by Bush consigliere Barr. Barr is not going to squander or lessen the power of the Deep State DOJ. Rather, he is going to re-orient it in directions that he feels are more needful of attack. No sheriff will willingly remove bullets from his own chamber. That defies institutional empire-building. Rather, he will re-aim the gun at his own adversaries. Barr was nominated the Monday after the Bush Sr funeral. The quid pro quo was to call off the Mueller dogs that were harrowing Trump into irrelevance. Done. And that was no small thing. The ‘quo’ was that Barr would be left to navigate a careful and judicious housecleaning through the Swamp i.e. a surface clean-up.

Yes, watching McCabe’s victory lap is nauseating. As for ‘our side’, I’m sick of DeGenova and the wifey. Grandstanders. Give it a rest and plow your Hannity-time into a second honeymoon. A stopped watch tick-tocks forever. Until you turn the sound down. Disgusted. Outraged. But it would have been the first time in history a corrupt system doused itself in disinfectant.

              Yeah.

There’s a lot of ways we can speculate about this. First of all, we know for democrats that lying under oath is no big deal. Second, what if other shady DOJ characters being involved in the McCabe case is a liability to the DOJ and an advantage for McCabe’s defense team? If Lieu was involved in anything with McCabe’s case, and she’s become ‘dirty,’ then maybe DOJ wants to clear the deck.

Finally, we’ve got some smart people on our side too. From Barr’s ABC interview yesterday, I felt he was dropping a lot of ‘in between the lines’ nuggets for us.

I also felt that when Barr said Durham would be finished in late Spring/early Summer, than it was some kind of disinformation. Barr had no need to give any anticipated completion dates. If Durham is going to be completed before Barr’s testimony to congress in late March, then it’s much earlier that Durham is finishing up, and if there are charges coming, it’s maybe all hands on deck; no distractions.

I’m real good at self rationalization….

Me, I am in the camp that thinks we are turning a corner and have a real chance at setting this right while staying within Constitutional constraints. Look at the number of Republicans holding office at the city, county, parish, state and Federal levels in 1980. Compare that number to the same offices today. Republicans have crushed it.

Look at gun control laws in the USA at the federal and state level in 1970. Compare to the progress made in the last 45 years, both in court, state legislature’s, congress and the Presidency. Night and day difference, even if you only look at Concealed carry laws.

Constitutional patriots are making real progress. Yes, it is slow. Yes, we need to be vigilant and hold our elected officials to their promises. The left will get more vocal and crazy as they see power slipping from their grasp. Yes, we have a long way to go. But make no mistake we are winning.

If we were losing the left would not be saying a word.

But go ahead and wipe your ass with the Constitution because it is broken. That is the exact same argument the left makes.

Its interesting to me that when Comey was not prosecuted, many professed to understand since ‘Comey was clearly up for higher charges’. This could be the same with McCabe and until PDJT declares Barr a loser I am not giving up on seditious conspiracy charges. The very quote you post above (F Flynn etc…) is a clear indication of a conspiracy. Everything the swamp does is coordinated with multiple people and reeks of conspiracy. If McCabe did turn, he now has to put on the show of shows for CNN or else he will be eliminated.

Whatever Durham is doing, the time to show his cards is close. If Durham comes back with ‘nothing found, nothing charged” then I will admit my failure to comprehend that Barr is only a cleaner. Sundance asked us to declare our positions and why, months ago. I have a simple reason. Once I personally decide that this requires the people to fix it, I have no more choices. I have to act. I am not at that fork in the road yet.

In every way PDJT has shown he is capable of handling the swamp, this isn’t a sprint. His job performance and love for America is beyond question. He will know when/if to call, and patriots will answer in every way they can. Until then stay frosty, never discouraged.

So I have been skimming the responses for just this point. If you look in the letter or somewhere in Sundance’s story it very specifically states that they are not pressing charges based on findings of the IG report. IG report was about process, Durham investigation is about crimes- specifically an attempted coup against President Trump. My bet is that this isn’t over for McCabe, not by a long shot.

      Agreed.

But meanwhile……..Flynn is destroyed over the allegation of one lie…….that the fbi initially said he did not do.

McCabe lies to the fbi four times, three under oath.

Flynn wasn’t even under oath. If this situation were reversed? And if Flynn lies four times, three under oath, is there any question of what would happen to him?

This is a double standard even if they are going after McCabe for bigger things.

Not even a democrat could look you in the eye and say otherwise.

I am a realist. I think anyone who is expecting someone else to come in a “save the day” is naive to how bad the situation really is. There is no “saving” because a solid percentage of what we were taught, and learned to believe in, was a myth.
From here on out, we are charting where we go. Socialism? Communism? Back to the founding? Because we haven’t been what we were taught in school for many generations.

Did Barr do this, or is it more Deep State rogue prosecutors trying to discredit Barr with PDJT – or even just trying to generate a tweet storm for Nadler, Schiff and the DeepSwampMedia to hyperventilate over?

IMO, this is something Barr would have -had- to be involved with. So it is on him. If he wasn’t involved, it is still on him because he should have been.

If no one is fired for this (and they won’t be) it is on him.

So, more or less, I think this is Barr’s doing.

The irony of the last sentence in the FBI’s letter – “Please do not hesitate to call us if you have any questions”. Hell no he has no questions. He’s known this outcome for months. It’s just the rest of us rubes that are just now finding out. Conspiracy to take down a President must no longer be a crime.

I rest my case re the usefulness of DOJ’s prosecutorial standard being high likelihood, near certitude of conviction.

McCabe is guilty of lying without any shadow of a doubt. But now he’s parading around on TV claiming he’s innocent and castigating DOJ for taking so long to decide.

The small benefits of showing the huge disparity with Stone’s case and giving Barr “breathing room” are nothing.

McCabe is guilty. He was law enforcement. The standard for an official, an FBI official no less, should far, far higher. These people have power over the lives of others and they should be scrupulous, beyond reproach.

For a minor benefit, for not wanting to take heat for telling the truth, for playing the game of Washington, this puny little stinkbug was let go.

We are playing against people willing to risk it all and we bring our little pen knife to the fight. Bad call, lousy strategy, losing game. Brung out the nukes or just go the F home.

Barr and McConnell letting PT know they can complete the coup if he doesn’t quit exposing the corruption.

I’m just saying if I were in that position where I found out about the DOJ’s declination to prosecute a well-established, documented liar and key figure involved in the attempted coup, i would not be so self-controlled, at least for a few minutes in the privacy of my own space.

I could not swallow that level of backstabbing by my own cabinet member (AG) without taking some action…which is why I would never enter politics.

My question is: HOW LONG CAN WE STAND TO HAVE ANY POLITICAL TRIALS HELD IN DC WITH 90%+ DEMOCRATS? JURY OF PEERS?

ROGER STONE MIS-TRIAL LATEST CASE IN POINT

NOBODY will answer me on that question.

Republicans WILL NEVER get a fair trial in DC

ALL POLITICAL TRIAL SHOULD BE HELD IN FEDERAL COURT IN THE STATE OF THE DEFENDANT – NOT THE DISTRICT OF CRIMINALS!

UNTIL GOP DEMANDS THAT – we will never be able to prosecute Democrats and no GOP politician or officeholder is safe from the DC SWAMP!

Congress could modify that privilege to allow DC privilege over local cases but national venues for cases involving national issues. Would take nuclear option to get by Senate if Republicans take House. Also this is a very politically correct issue.
If DC ever gets statehood, perhaps this venue issue could be part of the trade. I don’t want DC to get Statehood.

If the STONE trial doesn’t bring this up as an issue it never will.
DC is not representative of the nation at all – completely biased.
