Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on who is attacking Christians:
Attacks on Christianity, throughout the world, emanate from two principal sources: radical Muslims and leftists. The role played by radical Muslims is detailed in the 2020 World Watch List published by Open Doors; the Gatestone Institute cites radical Muslims as well, but it also mentions the role played by radical left-wing groups.

        Completely agree.
I don’t know how closely related Catholic Charities are to the Catholic League, but they are both apparently part of the same global church.

From the US perspective and especially that of Christians in the U.S., there is very little daylight between “radical” muslims and muslims in general since they both follow the same Koran and we cannot reliably and safely discern which ones are NOT practicing Taqiyya when they assure us they have come here in “peace” , or anything else they would have us believe about their motives.

The “Its Debunked” ploy is just a ploy, and is not uncommon.

Obviously, many things demonstrate that the Progs don’t work by regular logic, reason, and civility. I have said a few times here in CTH comments that the Progs are actually a Virtue Cult. I made up this term to suit the reality of what we see. A Virtue Cult exactly follow all of the characteristics of a cult, but a subtle distinction versus what we normally think of as a “cult:” a group of people with a misaligned world view supposedly provided from a supernatural source such as God, via a deliverer or prophet – a virtue cult does not include the “God” aspect, but has a similarly performing concept: being virtuous, versus being either ignorant or evil.

A “cult” is or has a world view that does not totally match with reality. Because it does not match, simple and clear examination, and or debate, will expose the non-rational part or parts, and bring it down.

To sustain the benefits of the Cult – which in short may be to “be virtuous, versus being ignorant or evil,” a member has to avoid arguments, discussions, or reasoning which will expose the faulty logic, the mismatch with reality.

The Progs have many standard rhetorical tricks to avoid seeing that they are a baseless cult. Calling people “racist.” Hiding behind “because Science.”

One big one, in recent years, has to parrot the phrase “[whatever] has been debunked.”
This is one aspect of the “we are smarter than you; our side has people that fact check things and yours only parrots what you hear on Fox News” value of the Prog cult.

Once a Prog hears this speaking point, they are off to the races. Their faulty world view is protected. They do not have to consider whether something is bunked or debunked. They can just parrot: “it’s debunked.”

Now, the task for people who live in reality is to simply say “no, it has not.”

A Prog requires the simplest of all “debunking” to accept that something has been debunked. For example, the mere fact that as far as we know there is no major investigation of Joe Biden – Ukraine corruption underway, then that is evidence that “Biden Ukraine Corrupt” has been debunked.

It was the same with Obama BC. “It has been vetted by many courts; the rumor has been debunked.” [no, it has not; many courts have been stuck with the hot potato, and have side-stepped the issue, by one of two ways: saying either “it is not in this court’s jurisdiction,” or “the complainants do not have standing.”

So, time for people who live in the real world to 1. recognize that when you hear “its been debunked” the concept is probably only propaganda, and 2. simply say “no, it has not.”

FTA “While we do not know how many campaign emails and communications were swept into the FISA surveillance of Page, we do know the FBI would have had access to all campaign emails that originated from Page or included him as a recipient. And the number of emails accessed appears large, given that the IG report stated that 45 days into the surveillance order, the FBI “team had not reviewed all of the emails the first FISA application yielded and believed there were additional emails not yet collected.” The IG report also established that the Crossfire Hurricane team recognized “the possibility that the FISA collection would include sensitive political campaign related information.”
Oh, There Were Also ‘Undercover Employees’
Beyond Halper, the tasked and volunteer CHSs, Comey, and Pientka, the Crossfire Hurricane team also used “a few” Undercover Employees, or UCEs. But how those UCEs were used and what information they accessed is unclear because the IG report did not provide any details, leaving open the possibility that even more spying took place.”….While the IG report stated that it “found no evidence that the FBI attempted to place any CHSs within the Trump campaign, recruit members of the Trump campaign as CHSs, or task CHSs to report on the Trump campaign,” as is clear from the above detailed analysis of the IG report, substantial spying took place under the guise of investigating Russia collusion—and there were many hints that even more spying occurred that has yet to be exposed.”

Unbelievable it’s possible that “even more spying occurred that has yet to be exposed”! There’s a headline that will never be seen on the NYTs! It would easier to list those who weren’t spying on President Trump or trying to stab him in the back! Godspeed President Trump!

Sundance, your earlier article about the planning behind the Bolton “bombshell” was spot on, and it is both infuriating and sad to watch how effectively it played out last night on the ABC News and the PBS Newshour. After many hours of the President’s Team highly effective defense (which I invested over two hours in watching) Bolton was still the lead story, and fed the Resistance Narrative: Trump was really working for Ukrainian interference in the 2020 election, and now, at last, the NYT has uncovered evidence of it.

Completely missing from the coverage were any mention of the compelling legal points made by the defense yesterday that: 1) Bolton was previously subpoenaed by Nadler or Schiff, pre-House Impeachment authorization, but that subpoena was abandoned by the House in court just prior to an anticipated ruling that the subpoena was defective for the compelling fact that without House authorization, nothing being done by the inquiring committees had legal authority, 2) any subpoena to a close advisor to the President, such as his National Security Advisor, even if issued pursuant to valid constitutional authority, must pass through the filter of executive privilege, which as Janet Reno advised Clinton, was absolute, and as Professors Dershowitz and Starr made clear, has long been uniformly advanced by the DOJ Office of Legal Counsel to Presidents of every party, as a presidential duty to the executive branch, independently of the current Occupant’s political calculus, and broadly supported by the Supreme Court, and 3) the extensive review of all the evidence that there is valid reason a) for the executive branch to investigate the strong odor of corruption among Ukraine, the Bidens and the Obama Administration in and before 2016 and to work with Ukraine in doing so, b) Trump and Rudy had been and were clearly doing this as part of President Trump’s defense against Mueller, and were not seeking manufactured evidence to hurt Biden in the 2020 election, and c) the leak, as Sundance pointed out, was likely a felony committed by a Deep State Resister in the WH National Security Adviser office, and, so coincidental, by Col Vindman’s twin brother.

No mention, in short, of the actual news of the day, just the Big Lie Narrative that these propaganda organs feel compelled to repeat endlessly, just days after eulogizing Jim Lehrer and his rules for reporters.

I hope that the leaker is exposed, in fact, that it was all a leak trap designed to catch them, and that somehow the PBS, too, is called to account for its betrayal of journalism for political purposes.

Again, I worry that, heading toward likely defeat, the Dem’s new strategy is to call witnesses, which will require a temporary adjournment to initiate depositions and a lengthy judicial process of testing the executive privilege as it attaches to President Trump’s conversations with his National Security Advisor, lasting until whenever, which the Dems will characterize as President Trump attempting to hide evidence of his perfidy, which the Blg Lie Media will repeat over and over, and, apparently, at least some Republican Senators will find credible.

I think this has been their strategy since at least December. It’s the same strategy they tried with Christine Blassy-Ford. They argued the FBI investigation was not legitimate and demanded new FBI investigations of her “allegations” in a similar effort to drag it out as long as possible.

Congressional Democrats and the scurrilous fake news media types demonstrate a couple of things …daily:
    1) Why they are paid by NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and MSNBC vs. a real private sector job.
    2) The liberal “thought” process, which is:
    a) If you can conceptualize or dream-up something, it is therefore, possible.
    b) If something is possible, it is therefore, probable.
    c) If something is probable, it is therefore, a fact.
A fact is not something one discovers. A fact to Democrats is a conclusion based on a liberal’s perception and their thought process. Don’t believe me? Just ask Comey, McCabe, Brennan, Biden or Clinton or any Democrat, even the ones you are related to.

    Michiganders: Call to action!

Want to Pay $500 or more in New Taxes?
Now that we have your attention, please read to see how you can stop this HUGE tax increase!

Please share this email [send page link or copy/paste in email] with other like-minded people (who wants taxes for transit?)!

Your legislators are trying to raise your taxes to fund the RTA (regional transit authority).

Yes, you read that right. Even Republican lawmakers are voting to increase your taxes!

Voters in Macomb and Oakland counties opposed higher property taxes for mass transit in 2016 and then again 2018.

But big-government, tax crazed interests are at it again.
Big corporate lobbyists want state lawmakers to get $billions in new property taxes—on your house— for the Regional Transit Authority with House Bill 5229.

House Bill 5229 would allow a Regional Transit Authority to have taxing powers that go around the Headlee property tax caps.  This  Authoroity will allow local taxing units to enter into unlimited loan/bonds without constraints.

How much will this cost you?

Take the market value of your home, divide it in half, and then multiple that number by .005.  So for every $200,000 your house is worth, you can expect an increase of about $1000.   Now do the math on your house.

This could push seniors out of their homes!
New home buyers?  Pay even more in taxes and do so FOREVER.

And for what purpose?  All these new taxes will do is fund more empty buses that you most likely will NEVER use and most likely never even see.

Lawmakers could vote on HR 5229 as early as this week!

Public hearings? Nope.  Public input? Nope.

    Contact your legislators NOW!

Call the House Speaker Lee Chatfield and tell him NO to HB5229: 517-373-2629

Tell him what this will do to your taxes.
Tell him you can’t afford more property taxes.
Tell him it is wrong to remove protections of the Headlee Amendment.
Tell him to stand up against the lobbyists and stand with the taxpayers.

    Also Call:
Jason Wentworth Speaker Pro Tempore 517-373-8962
Triston Cole majority Floor Leader 517 373-0829
Call these two state representatives on the Committee for Transportation:

    Lynn Afendoulis 517 373-0218 and Beth Griffin 517 373-0839 and/or email them.

    LynnAfendoulis@house.mi.gov    BethGriffin@house.mi.gov

If you’re in Oakland County, attend County Executive David Coulter’s Town Hall January 15th at the White Lake Library at 10:30 AM.  The purpose of the Town Hall is to rally your support to increase your taxes!  We encourage you to attend and tell him how unhappy you are with his new tax proposal!

Let your friends and family know! Please share and ask them to share.

Let’s blow up the Lansing phones.

They could vote on this as early as Tuesday!

One more thing.  Some may say this does not affect them.  WRONG.  If HR 5229 passes, mass transit is only the beginning.  Under the bill taxes can and will increase using a taxing authority for every problem/project the spend happy elites envision.  Authorities could be used to fund pension shortfalls, more bike trails, environmental clean ups, climate change, blah, blah  etc…..etc….etc….

Help stop this boondoggle! Or be taxed out of your home.

    ” Wuhan University of Technology”?

Federal prosecutors on Tuesday charged a top Harvard University scientist with lying to the Department of Defense about his work for a Chinese-run talent recruitment program.
The program tries to recruit experts from Western universities to work in China and ramp up its work in science and technology. In a complaint, the FBI said the program has “rewarded individuals for stealing proprietary information and violating export controls.”

The charging documents, unsealed Tuesday, allege Lieber received some $1.74 million for research for China’s Wuhan University of Technology, as well as $50,000 in monthly salary and $158,000 in living expenses.

Lieber additionally made false statements to the National Institutes of Health about his involvement in the recruitment plan and his affiliation with the Chinese university. He was in federal custody as of Tuesday afternoon, a senior federal law enforcement official told NBC News.

“The veteran expert on Islam says that Western officials fail to grasp that the Arab and Islamic world truly see Israel’s establishment as a “reversal of history” and are therefore unable to ever accept peaceful relations with it. From Moslems’ perspective, “Islamic territory was taken away from Islam by Jews. You know by now that this can never be accepted, not even one meter. So everyone who thinks Tel Aviv is safe is making a grave mistake. Territory which at one time was dominated by Islamic rule, now has become non-Muslim. Non-Muslims are independent of Islamic rule and Jews have created their own independent state. It is anathema. Worse, Israel, a non-Muslim state, is ruling over Muslims. It is unthinkable that non-Muslims should rule over Muslims.”

The Article 32 is a fact finding investigation to determine if some level of legal action is warranted for an alleged infraction by a soldier. The findings will include evidence as well as type of action warranted or not. I’d even settle for a General officer level Article 15, non-judicial action, at this point because it would flush their sorry ass careers down the toilet.
