Although for the life of me can’t figure out how a man as smart as Dershowitz obviously is voted for Cankles, I know now why President Trump wanted him on his defense team.

President Trump used to donate to the Clinton’s and he voted for Hillary in the Senate. Past political mindsets aren’t relevant, it’s those that take off the blinders and see daylight for the first time that matter.

Dersh put on a clinic for idiots in the peanut gallery claiming to be Constitutional lawyers. As for wondering why President chose him, Dersh went to the President, made his case and asked to help. Good call by our President.

Need to shoot down the “reciprocal witnesses” balloon:
Equal means President Trump first gets 17 witnessesfor the defense to match those for the prosecution in the House, where he got zero.
Equal means that all testimony from all prior witnesses must be made public = Atkinson
Equal means that if multiple witnesses are available that refute a claim by a prosecution witness, then Justice requires that the defense be permitted to present the weight of convincing evidence.

“One for One” is complete BS and inappropriate for actual fairness…

besides, Alan D is correct, both Articles fail on Constitutional grounds, and should be dismissed or, even better, aquittal voted.

If it gets to witnesses being called, the Repubs only need to call one witness – Michael Atkinson – and force the Dems to release his testimony, which BTW, is the only testimony they have not released.

Atkinson and his testimony will put a stop on this whole thing quicker than the ‘big one’ at Talladega speedway.

Liz Warren said Dershowitz’s speech was nonsensical and hard to follow. She should know what those mean. Her “policies” are the epitome of nonsensical. And all Socialists characterize the Constitution in that way.

Well I have to admit I’d have been lost if I hadn’t recorded it and had the benefit of rewind to catch it all. Dershowitz’s delivery was at times tough to follow as he needs to take a bit longer pause between sentences. He bounced between discussing precedent and what the House managers had presented without enough of a pause to distinguish the 2 points.

Because she is an idiot. Professor Dershowitz’s speech was an excellent lecture on how impeachment laws were written, their intention and current application.

The Democrat Creep State positions are really quite simple. All they require for your obedient concurrence is for you to commit to the following divine truths:

    1) Trump is not President of the United States, only Democrats are.
    2) The President of the United States is elected to follow and obey the wishes of unelected bureaucrats.
    3) The President of the United States serves at the pleasure of Congress.
    4) The American People cannot be allowed interfere in American elections.
    5) The purpose of Congress to ensure Democrats will be enriched and prosper financially.
    6) All laws are subject to exemption and variance.
    7) Only Democrats can be trusted as the singular final authority concerning all facts and truths.

    See. So simple.

Only stupid people disagree. That just goes to prove how smart Democrats are.

    Because, shut up.

How nice would it be right now to have Jeff Sessions still sitting in that Alabama Senator chair instead of a Democrat?

The Dems would have then needed five Repubs to vote for witnesses…

If there is one area that, IMO, President Trump needs to vastly improve upon, its his choice of people that he allows as his advisors, Cabinet leaders, etc.

Appointing Sessions as his AG was a colossal mistake. And, it took him three tries to find someone who actually would implement his southern border strategy. The list of obvious “What the heck were you thinking, Mr. President”-personnel choices goes on and on.

    Scaramucci? McMaster? Really?

Yes, he’s cut back a bit on the enormous size of the NSC team, but has barely made a dent and is clearly not at all in control of its composition (e.g. that Eric guy as well as the smug Vindmann).

And the Bolton assignment was an obvious head scratcher from day #1. This coming back to President Trump should be a surprise to no one.

Yes, I fully understand that getting Mitch to allow any non-establishment person is virtually impossible or to even find “qualified” people who live in DC and are NOT swamp, but that’s a fight that PDJT needs to start taking as soon as this impeachment trial is over.

As soon as possible, President Trump needs to improve in this aspect. Else, his back-stabbing feet-dragging headaches will just continue.

    Just my two cents.

        You again?

So, do you disagree with my hope that President Trump is able to find better MAGA-aligned candidates for his West Wing positions? He’s had some serious problems with many within his team to date (some names mentioned above). Bolton is only the latest instance.

By posting that you want me to pick my two cents back up, it seems that you are disagreeing with me. Does that mean that you hope that PDJT continues to make poor selections and, as a result, continue to be back-stabbed and hindered by swamp members or #resisters on his team?

I am full MAGA. I hope that President Trump continues to do all the great things that he is excellent at while he improves on the things that he isn’t so strong. We all have weaknesses. Even our VSGPOTUS.

Sorry if that hope offends you.

Why is it that the GOP always gets pressured by some nonsense to do what the Dems and the MSM wants? I say.. no witnesses. The House Dems should not be rewarded for doing their sham impeachment the illegal way, then calling the shots in the Senate.

Shut it down now. Have today clear convincing wrap-up. Point out more of the sham, Schiff and Pelosi pulled. Have the question period.. then vote on Friday. enough.

I read many reports on how awesome Pam Bondi was yesterday. I finally caught up and watched her part.

I thought she wasn’t very good. Perhaps it’s my general preference for a speaker that actually speaks to the audience (while using their notes as a reference) rather than someone who reads from their notes verbatim.

She also spoke in a rather mono-tone voice rather than using inflection to keep the audience awake.

Lastly, she didn’t invoke the audience’s curiosity much. I definitely like how the defense team has repeatedly posed the rhetorical question to the Senate of, “Why not?” Ms. Bondi did this too, much without any emphasis or thoughtful pause. She just read the sentence like any other sentence.

IMO, she wasn’t as powerful as a good speaker would have been. She wasn’t horrible, just not very good.

For me, it was nothing new, thanks to this site and a few others.

I have no idea how much the Senators knew already on average or the watching public. Am guessing much less. So, the info was fine. Clear and chronological.

I was just stating that Ms Bondi wasn’t the best at presenting it. She was average at her skill in presenting a convincing case to an audience.

I’ll offer that Bondi got the sexy part of the presentations.
She’s a good looking woman. The topic is juicy. Red meat, so to speak.
I’ve got a feeling that had something to do with the choice of Bondi delivering the Biden Burisma argument, Moreno than her oratory skills.

        Your conclusion is incorrect,

I like many of his picks for many of his positions. President Trump has definitely made some whoppers of mistakes though over the past three years (eg Bolton, Scaramucci, McMaster, et. al.). I hope he figures out a way to weed out these never Trumpers or anti-MAGA folks earlier going forward. Will be a tough task for sure.

And narrowing in on just his Impeachment trial legal team, I like all of his picks, including Ms Pam Bondi. His team is excellent to a person.

I was simply pointing out that, IMO, Ms Bondi wasn’t the superstar presenter that some said she was yesterday.

So, your post was just a quick slam that has no basis in fact.

Bless your heart, too! And have a great day!

I enjoyed seeing what Treepers already know being presented so publically, but agree I wasn’t keen on her presentation. Reminds me of the Clinton Impeachment, don’t remember or care who asked the question that made Billy Jeff’s eyes pop out, but enjoyed the question about the cigar.

31:21 mark – Democrats are protecting the Biden’s. No investigation ever done

Bolton, Bolton, bolton…. Democrats call for witnesses.. Democrats demand witnesses…. Democrats vote witnesses… be careful what you wish for… the sting…
Atkinson is called, Schiff is called.. Biden is called. Republican shut down all other witnesses. But Bolton who says he did not say that.. it was a plan to identify leakers..
