Even watching the proceedings when a break occurs, the panel on FOX are the sorriest crew of losers who have nothing of worth to listen to as they give their take on what just transpired. Martha McCallum and the rest of her comrades are so obviously anti Trump it makes me sick to my stomach.

This man has crystallized the unfairness of these student-loan proposals in a very public way, right in Elizabeth Warren’s face:

An angry father confronted Sen. Elizabeth Warren saying those who responsibly saved to pay for student loans themselves would get “screwed” under her student debt cancellation plan.

“My daughter is getting out of school. I’ve saved all my money. She doesn’t have any student loans. Am I going to get my money back?”

“So you’re going to pay for people who didn’t save any money and those of us who did the right thing get screwed?”

“My buddy had fun, bought a car, and went on all the vacations, I saved my money. He makes more than I did. I worked a double shift”

“Youre laughing at me,” the man said … “Yeah that’s exactly what you’re doing. We did the right thing and we get screwed”

So how do we handle it, Nimrod? We already skipped a generation that couldn’t afford to have kids. Are we going to sacrifice another? Do we make student debt dischargeable in bankruptcy? Do we get the federal government out of the student loan guarantee business? We’ve got to come up with a path so young americans can buy a home and raise a family. President Trump is on the employment thing hard. That’s a piece of it for sure. We have to fix the real estate market, and we’ve got to figure out what to do about the higher ed and student loan bubble.

        Liked by 1 person

        • nimrodman says:

Yes, certainly “get the federal government out of the student loan guarantee business”

Further – if there’s to be loan forgiveness, fund it out of the endowments of high-cost colleges.

They can recoup much of the cost through elimination of various Deans, Assistant Deans, Deputy Deans, and Deputy Assistant Deans of Diversity programs (and axe the programs while you’re at it), eliminating various “Studies” departments, and rolling back to 60 or 70 percent the salaries of liberal arts professors.

Deeper cuts to costs of tuition can be sought by eliminating other fluff in the bloated organizations.

          Tighten admissions standards.
Not everyone needs or deserves to go to college.

Admission should be refused to those who cannot pass a high-school exit exam set at proper standards for what should have been learned in high school.

For a substantial segment of graduating high schoolers, college is simply a continuation – and in many cases an escalation – of party culture.

These people don’t need to be in college and should be diverted into vocational programs.

Remember, ditches still need to be dug, restrooms still need to be cleaned, shopping carts still need to be rounded up at the market.

Fast-food fryers still need to be operated. Some of these lower-tier talents should be trained up in that to displace illegal aliens who’ve taken over those jobs.

I don’t have all the answers, certainly, but that’s a start

What is it about the real-estate market that needs to be “fixed”?

“We already skipped a generation that couldn’t afford to have kids.”

Not sure that’s entirely accurate. To some extent they chose not to, being more enamored of material trinkets and lifestyle choices, advancing in their professions, etc

To the extent the “generation couldn’t afford to have kids”, it’s because we reward and subsidize the wrong things.

Nothing prevents us from devising subsidies and grants for child-bearing by productive, working, tax-paying citizens … such as the grants recently offered in Poland, I think it is.

          But we don’t

I’ll tell you for damn sure there’s not a welfare population that “can’t afford to have kids”

They have 4 or 5. On your dime.

THAT’s what we reward and subsidize

Whatever you subsidize you’re going to have a lot more of

The forces that are aligned against we the people and our President haven’t slowed down in the least, not voluntarily anyway. That’s why I posted the video above. We have to get sociopaths out of positions of leadership. The impeachment is making that very clear. None of those people are natural leaders in any way shape or form. Just like the housing crisis, there are some people the deserved forgiveness and some people that should be held responsible. Not everyone was a victim of the mean old banks. Some people purchased a house and had bad luck (lost a job, health problems) they should be helped. Others played the game, refinanced (had an awesome vacation) refinanced (got an awesome boat) refinance (got some cool off road toys) then sh!t collapsed.

Answer.: Universities have ‘fast track’ programs for serious students that allow them to ‘skip’ the first 2 years of ‘American Style College’. They have surmised that our colleges allow students to party and select sports and fraternities, etc. as more important. Our ‘first 2years’ are a remedial studies and testing period to weed out the fakers from the bright, serious learners. They immediately jump from “High School” into professional and technical job prep. Become professional quicker and better. Our universities are soaking the parents of many unqualified kids with wasted tuitions.

Good point. As a ‘non-traditional’ student (meaning I was 30 years old before I went to college) the first two years was really wasted time.

You have take classes just to fill in the requirements. Took geography (easy A, no work). In class spent my time wondering, why are they teaching this in college?

Have to wonder about our government run education system (K-12). People are calling for FREE two year post high school education. Really? Why not just extend high school for two more years? Imagine the uproar over that.

They’ve been planning this impeachment since the early hours of November 9, 2016 when then candidate Trump won the election.
