I think they are doing a great job. They are slicing and dicing each Democrat talking point with real facts. Then they sit down. They have said repeatedly that they will lay it all out of the last 3 years in what the Dems have done to them when it is their turn to do so. Right now, they are refuting the Dem lies and setting the table so to speak for what is to come.

One of the hardest skills to teach to lawyers is knowing when to shut up and sit down.

While a lawyer may need to go into detail and reiterate evidence or points with a jury of people of varying education and little legal knowledge, the audience here knows what the legal issues are and what the basic arguments are.

If a lawyer is allotted a certain amount of time, it is difficult to resist using all the time, In appellate arguments, the judges constantly interrupt with questions, so it’s necessary to use it.

But here it’s just speechifying The target audience is really four people: Collins, Romney, Murkowski, and Gardner. All have said they’re on board with Mitch’s rules.

Collins has said it’s “likely” she would want witnesses later on, but she’s given herself an out. (I suspect the whole dance of Mitch’s rules proposal introduced yesterday, Collins objecting a little, and Mitch adjusting them for her today was staged to make her look like she had influence to the folks aback home and make Mitch look accommodating.)

This is soundbites for tomorrow’s news, for campaign ads, and probably won’t sway any GOP senators. it’s been a long day, they are looking at two weeks of long days, and deciding right now to add on witnesses when they haven’t heard a reason for why the House didn’t try to subpoena them might be too much to ask

But, I assure you, it’s an excellent team. I actually appreciate the fact that they DON’T act like the DemonicCommunists are. I just finished listening to Cipollone. I think he did a great job. He spoke from the heart and seemed to be righteously indignant with cold anger, which he should be. It was the right balance. He was having a conversation with the Senate. He did not condescend to them — he simply pointed out the nonsense of all of this.

In my opinion their strategy (President’s team) is to do such a good job in openings that someone files a motion to dismiss.

I think this will be over before the SOTU.

Rudy Giuliani: Joe Biden Has to Be Prosecuted – There Is No Doubt About It (VIDEO)
January 21, 2020, 6:02 pm by Jim Hoft

Rudy Giuliani: I don’t know if our law enforcement has the courage to prosecute Joe Biden. Joe Biden has to be prosecuted. There is no doubt about it. He committed bribery. He was engaged in a long term scheme to use his name to extort money from countries. He did it in Iraq. He did it in China. He did it in Ukraine. It’s right in front of their eyes. And the problem is law enforcement is worried that they’re going to look like political prosecutors if they do this… The reality is if we’re going to get back to a country of one standard then Joe Biden’s got to be treated like everybody else.

I like the imagery this provokes..but I am curious..what exactly do you propose….?

Here is what I am watching, and my general uptake:

I am glued to this right now, and from where I am viewing the arena, it appears to me that Cipolloni and Sokolow are giving this the respect it deserves…little to none. I was enthused with the vigor in which Sokolow eviscerated “schiff world”….He was on target and hammered home some easy to memorize takeaways for viewers to get a quick read and turn it of….because if anyone had any doubts, sokolow condensed and distilled this saga down to its elementary substance: strange theoretical particles not proved to exist.

          chief takeaways in record time:

schiff is a proven liar…on multiple occassions!
schiff has not produced any evidence that a crime has been committed.
schiff has subverted due process and any standards of fair play and justice.
schiff abused the powers of a majority house and the intel committee and it’s classification authority to “form” a secretive non-transparent apparatus.
There is case law and prior impeachment processes that were useful to make this impeachment reasonable and the DIM’s refused to adapt any of those solid examples…substituting fact and evidence with constructed whistleblowers and rumors or whispers of “bad orange man flexing his executive authority over foreign policy ( please lets all clutch our pearls)…

Sukulow will next refer to this and the actions of team schiff as “mad science”…

How do I know this…? well…I can predict it with certainty.

You know what else I can predict with certainty…that the DIM’s could not argue their way out of a wet paper bag! The DIM’s have created a ditch..and they keep digging holes. It’s not so much they don’t know so much…..it’s just they know so little that actually matters to reality based human beings. These are bubble people…disturbed by their own attachment to crazy ideas and schemes that can only work if they commit fraud.

Normal people..regular everyday humans see through this. IT is not obvious at a level that is impossible to ignore.

and when your enemy is losing so hard…you don’t need to work them too much….it’s a good strategy…it’s also morally proper….you fleeze them…but you avoid the temptation to get down into the deep stew they have created…you just walk around the swirling drain and wave….buh bye

now, when this is over…I will gladly collect the 25 million dollar bounty for any true american that punches this schiff cold in his smarmy temple in the parking lot…I’ll pay for the damned video equipment. The 25 Million? defense fund to help out a partiot who knows this schiff tool deserves a few minutes of violence and humiliation. I want to see his head stomped into the dirt…I’ll gladly get sponsors to provide that defense fund..

          what ever it takes.

Not being negative, but being realistic, about how the process will be spun by the Mediapundicracy to the true believers on the other side. It’s hard to accept how otherwise intelligent people, some smarter than me, can swallow the BS whole. Those kind of people are the ones who are willing to tear this country apart over Orange Man Bad. Everything against Trump is justified because he’s 100X times Mr. H despite the complete lack of evidence. In their minds the only reason why he hasn’t done all that they think he would do is because of their stout dogged resistance. Like they’re the French Resistance fighting the Gestapo. Completely laughable except to them it’s no joke.

The DNC shenanigans didn’t bother me, that’s typical dirty politics. The absolute lack of interest in investigating Seth Rich’s death, including by his own family, really pissed me off as well as worried me. And Brazile’s comments afterwards about it really got to me. I was never ever going to vote for Her Odiousness under any circumstances, but considering Trump’s past politics and actions felt he was the less worse alternative. And have been extremely pleasantly surprised. There’s been a few policies he’s done I’ve not liked, most notably the Ethanol mandate, but almost completely agree with the rest. His style is grating at times, but it’s part of his personality, and his personality is a that of a dogged fighter and a winner and a negotiator and an improviser. I can’t imagine any other public figure in the US or even the world on the outs with the Mediapundicracy surviving much less thriving under their fire.

This was pretty funny from the Grauniad

“The first day of the trial has been far less dramatic than expected. The Guardian’s David Smith fills in what the Senate cameras aren’t showing:

This moment had been much hyped by cable TV but viewers hoping for the political equivalent of the OJ Simpson trial were in for a disappointment. There was no prisoner in the dock; Trump is thousands of miles away in Davos. This was reality TV without the reality TV president.

There was, however, the California Democrat Adam Schiff, the lead House manager in the impeachment trial, who once wrote a screenplay for a Hollywood crime thriller. He was not quite Henry Fonda in 12 Angry Men or Tom Cruise in A Few Good Men, but he did put Republicans on the spot over their pledge on oath to be impartial jurors.

“The American people want a fair trial. They want to believe their system of government is still capable of rising to the occasion,” Schiff entreated. “They want to believe we can rise above party and do what’s best for the country, but a great many Americans don’t believe that will happen. Let’s prove them wrong. Let’s prove them wrong!”

In the Hollywood version, the chamber erupted in applause, heavenly horns played and a solitary tear trickled down McConnell’s face. In the Washington version, however, Republicans sat or slouched expressionless or studied papers on their desks, while McConnell fixed Schiff with a death stare as if intent on turning him to stone.“

Could Schumer and Lawfare be creating new amendments on the fly? Are we in Ajax chasing the tortoise territory? The old mathematical conundrum whereby Ajax continually halves the remaining distance between himself and the reptile but never actually catches it.

It was Achilles, not Ajax. And the “old mathematical conundrum was solved in the 17th Century after Isaac Newton demonstrated that the infinite series 1 + 1/2 + 1/4 +1/8 . . . = 1/(1 – 1/2) = 2, not infinity.

McConnell and all the guys on Trump’s legal team, not to mention the ones coming over from the House (Jordan, etc) MUST have known this would be something Schumer would try. Endless amendments, with endless debates… maybe he’ll want to offer a THOUSAND of them. What’s to stop him? Obviously there must be SOMETHING to stop an abuse such as that… so I’m sure it’s already been considered and will be used if need be.

Very true, it does n o t h i n g good for them. Plus, in the larger picture, the longer this goes on, the longer Bennett/Klobuchar/Sanders/Warren cannot be on the campaign trail. Tut tut, isn’t that a shame?

I heard earlier on Fox that Schumer said he had 50 plus amendments ready to go…WTF? We might light this candle in the year 2525 if this keeps up!!

I just got home and have heard the news on the radio. You’d think the rats have valid points listening to the news that comes on when Mark Levin takes a break. Fox News Lisa Lisero or some name like that. And then there was a headline I saw (I was at a car dealer and he turned his computer on to show me something) that said something to the effect that the Democrats have stuck together to vote to get evidence. The headline made it look like they were heros.

Thank God for TCH and an honest look at the facts!

There’s some new “columnists” on Faux. One has a story making out Schiff to be a tough guy. I’d never seen her name before. The story is absurd. Fox is turning more blue by the day.

No she was absolutely blowing him. 100%.

          “Schiff remained stoic under attack.”

“Schiff stared down Cipollone and didn’t flinch.”

“Schiff kept his eyes wide open and glued on Sekulow, possibly aghast that Trump’s lawyers were putting him on trial.”

“as the House Intelligence Committee chairman — who is serving as the top Democratic impeachment manager — sat up straight in his chair and didn’t take his eyes off his accusers.”

She also gave him the last word. Fox is trash now.

Welcome to the Soros funded Lawfare Amendment proposals that further cloud the blather of trash thrown against our POTUS Trump.

The current blabbermouth for the opposition has the gall to speak to withholding military aid. The reality is the Trump supplied the first initial military aid to Ukarain. Democrats and Obozo provided ZERO aid to Ukrainians.

AND we take our time up in the late evening to listen to the treasonous liars that Soros fund ad infinitum.
