Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross Discusses MAGAnomics, China Trade and USMCA…

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, the coolest cat in the crew, appeared tonight for a discussion on economics and trade with Lou Dobbs.  Secretary Ross discusses the current status of the economy and how the two trade agreements have established the foundation for a completely restructured U.S. trade relationship for years to come.

Wilburine notes the Europeans are nervous thinking about the wolverine teeth that will soon be heading in their direction.  Good Stuff.  WATCH:

What makes the Trump economic team so effective is their independence from any influence outside of the America-First agenda.  President Trump, Secretary Wilbur Ross, and Secretary Steven Mnuchin were already independent billionaires -with wealth gained from private industry- before they entered office.  There is no financial influence upon them except to see Main Street USA thrive….

Yay wolverines! Just shows how corrupt all of Washington has been over decades. No surprise there is gnashing of teeth as POTUS shows the American people how a properly run government operates. And how we Americans have been screwed over all these years. Nuke the swamp!

Good point. Most of President Trump’s economic team were in private industry for most of their careers, so they actually know how to earn money, unlike many of the Swamp economic advisers who have been feeding at the government trough their whole working lives.

President Trump has one helluva of an economic team surrounding him. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, NEC Director Larry Kudlow, and US Trade Negotiator Robert Lighthizer plus other economic advisers have earned their money, and have helped the president produce one of the best economic booms in our nation’s history. All of these men are working to make this country better and they’re accomplishing that. On the other hand, the Democrats are in impeachment mode 24/7/365, and aren’t doing one damn thing to help this country. The people are noticing and the Democrats will pay a heavy price in November!

I am really looking forward to the European Union next. The President never minces words regarding their blatant and unfair trade practices. Victor David Hanson has had a bone to pick with them since they destroyed the raisin market in the early eighties, putting many of his neighbors out of business

Below is the link to the article that Mr Wilbur is referencing. I mentioned this a few days ago how trading relations will have to change due to the Administration’s policies. A global reset in the making. The US will no longer bankroll the inefficiencies and the Political economies of decline.

“ EU trade commissioner Phil Hogan criticises US-China phase one trade deal, claims it is unlikely to boost competitiveness or jobs
EU worries that Chinese companies would be forced to buy more goods and services from US companies than European ones, under pact signed by China and US
Top EU trade official’s reaction to pact reflects its overall cautious reception from European officials and businesses”

I posted this article that explains why the EU (read Germany) have suddenly perked up.

“ China’s Truce With U.S. Exposes Rest of the World
The phase one pact may lead Beijing to put more trade pressure on other countries. ”

Davos will be interesting to say the least.

    Go wolverines!

All of this has been accomplished by a business man’s viewpoint, not that of a lawyer, and he has some very good men helping him do it. As a result world trade is changing and America is once again becoming great! Imagine doing this with 24/7 main stream media and the Democrats bashing every move he makes! It takes a great man to accomplish all he has done with that coming all of the time. I am certainly glad that God gave us him at this particular time in our history, what would America look like if Hillary had won??

And look at what else is happening behind the scenes ,and this was the headline’
“Trump administration says no more computers in economic data lockups”

Washinton D.C. (CNN Business)Economic journalists will no longer be able to bring their electronic devices –including their laptops — when they arrive early at the Labor Department to write stories on the country’s employment and other data.
Instead, they’ll be returning to a pre-Internet practice of relying on good old pens and pads to write their stories on inflation, jobless rate and other pieces of economic data starting March 1.
The reason? The US government no longer wants news organizations that participate in so-called “lock-ups” to able to profit from their early access by potentially selling high-speed data to their clients.
“It is my obligation to do everything possible to protect the integrity of our data, as it is collected, analyzed, and distributed,” said William Beach, Commissioner of the Labor Department in a letter Thursday.
Since the 1980s, the Labor Department has allowed news organizations to bring computers into secured government rooms that are cut off from the Internet for a set period of time — sometimes up to an hour– before the government’s economic data is released to the public.

The basis of the decision relies in part on a July 2014 Inspector General report found that the pre-early access “unintentionally creates an unfair competitive advantage for certain news organizations and their clients.”

Because of their pre-release access, “they are able to load the data… allowing their clients to get this information faster than the public,” the report added.
Bloomberg is one of the news organizations known for packaging government data for wealthy clients. Its founder, Michael Bloomberg, is running for president against President Donald Trump.
A representative from Bloomberg did not respond to a request for comment from CNN.

Pens and paper! Awesome! I like it, but…I wonder how that will actually turn out.

I can imagine that industrious journalists will have a mini scanner with their laptops or iPads ready to digitize their handwritten notes and transmit to their waiting editors.

Or just use the hig res camera in their smartphone to snap each page or multiple pages of notes laid on a table. Once photographed, it’sonly a matter of seconds to get it into the editors hands.

Sullivan is the typical Affirmative Action judge appointed by a Democrat. I’ve dealt with more than one in Miami Federal Court and they’re all lackeys for the defense. We called them the “third” defense attorney if the defendant had two!

  11. In the crap storm that our president must face on a daily basis from the Dems and media, Wilbur Ross is the rock that is always there for him. Many years ago a much younger Trump was taken to the woodshed on a casino deal by Wilbur and told that he would sign over half of his ownership to his investors. The financial disaster was avoided and Trump sold at a profit. A special relationship of admiration and respect was formed and that bond continues to today.
It warms my old soul to see what these two brilliant minds, with able assistance of Light, Nuch, Varo & the Koala have accomplished. I am a half-full guy by nature but could never have imagined this degree of success, just glad that I am alive to see the amazing changes in economic, religious and judicial realities that are happening.

  22. But, Sundance, there’s yet another very important factor that you forgot to mention about all of these people: they have actual business experience. They have been at the helm of enormous organizations, some of which started as “their own ideas,” and they have prospered by seeing to it that their shareholders prospered too. Therefore, they have been in negotiations that “a mere politician,” quite frankly, “knows nothing about.” (Unless they read The Art of the Deal, which by-the-way is something that I recommend to everyone.)

Chester Karrass was yet another battle-hardened expert, who told us in our in-flight magazines for many years: “In business, you don’t get what you deserve. You get what you negotiate.”

And this, definitely, is one thing that “Washington, DC hacks” like Pelosi, Nadler, Schiff, Biden, and even Obama know nothing of: “that the American people, having been given this opportunity for the very first time in American political history, elected business experience.” Knowledgeable negotiators who knew how to accomplish things without resorting to high explosives. People who could “Think Different.”

What’s the fundamental reason why Donald J. Trump got elected? “Because he was qualified in a way that absolutely none(!) of his predecessors have ever been.” He brought to the Office a type of background and experience that none of his predecessors during the last 230+ years ever possessed. And the American people perceived a need for it. (Correctly.)
