President Trump had no part in this 👇👇

“The most infamous payoff was the $1.7 billion in cash the administration shipped off to the IRGC on wooden pallets in exchange for U.S. citizens held hostage by the regime. The White House said that there was no “quid pro quo,” that it was Iran’s money to begin with—$400 million the pre-revolutionary government had deposited in 1979 to buy U.S. arms, plus interest. But the U.S. had already used the $400 million to compensate terror victims of the Islamic Republic. That was Iran’s money. The $400 million the Obama administration used to “pay back” the Iranians belonged to the U.S. taxpayer.”

“The Obama administration even paid the Iranians when they violated the deal. The Iranians overproduced reactor coolant, (heavy water, a key ingredient in nuclear reactors and nuclear weapons) in violation of the JCPOA, and the administration offered to buy it for $10 million to keep them in compliance. But that wasn’t enough for Tehran—or the White House. In exchange for giving up the nuclear-related material they had promised not to have in the first place—the heavy water—the regime then demanded more nuclear material in exchange. And the American administration agreed: In January 2017, Obama greenlighted the shipment of 130 tons of uranium to Iran.”

Translation: Obama wanted Iran to get nukes as quickly as possible. Presumably to ensure no one could ever threaten the ayatollahs with overthrow. Including their own people.

Why? Does Obama consider himself the twelfth imam?

Thanks Reserved55- I have been seeking understanding on this very point re: money to the Iranians and was it their own back, or new taxpayer money, or ? and your info is great. It is in quotes- maybe I am missing something- where is it sourced from?

it is rumored that Barak got the cash from the CFCB bank shakedowns. Publicly, they claimed it was Iran’s money but since it appeared in the dark of night, with zero oversight, it is anybody’s guess.

I’ve always been asking, “why the hell are we giving them all that money back?”
Iran is a sworn enemy of the US and Israel. Makes no sense.
I don’t care if it’s their money. If we are gonna pay off protection money, we better have a better deal than that deal that Ozero and the EU brokered.
          What a joke.
It was the geopolitical final straw. Ozero not only gave away our leverage, he PAID the mullahs.

if it had been their money, it would’ve gone through proper channels. Liberals needed an acceptable explanation for the pictures of pallets of cash. Snopes obliged. The Iran deal was abominable and had no teeth to enforce anything. They wanted the win, not a good outcome.

The Shah of Iran paid the US $400Million in 1979 for military equipment. Before we delivered equipment the Mullahs revolted, overthrew the shah, and committed an act of war against our embassy. We no more owed that money back than we owed anything to Tojo after Pearl Harbor.

Obama used this $400 M as an excuse to pay the Mullahs $1.5B hard money as tribute. (He called the other $1.1B interest on the $400M).

Speaker Pelosi has chosen her actors for the Senate Trial. The seven dwarves were apparently carefully chosen as they include three white males and one white female. One Hispanic female, one black female and one black male. They hail from California (2), New York (2), Colorado, Florida (Orlando), and Texas (Houston). Give them each a half an hour to make their speeches and be done with them followed by the Republican defenders with equal time.
Then move to summarily dismiss the entire frivolous impeachment sham!
Let the Democrats whine about fairness (which they didn’t exhibit in their House proceedings) and cry about partisan politics. Let the crooked media p!ss and moan and poot into the wind as most of the country doesn’t care what they say and do these days. Sorry ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR & CNN… your best days are behind you and no one believes you any more.

This from the RedStateWatcher caught my imagination: BREAKING: West Virginia legislature invites Virginia 2nd Amendment counties (& cities) to join their state
    http://redstatewatcher.com/article.asp?id=158800
Questions 1) can this kind of thing be ‘offered’ by other states? 2) do the counties/cities have to be contiguous? 3) would such ‘offers’ necessarily be limited to constitutional issues – or maybe limited to the constitution of a sate? ie could Texas make offers to California?
Having lived in many different states we know that many states are very ‘red’, but the big city(s) are “blue”. if states could re-form (break CA into 2 or 3 parts) or join another state what a job that would do re: draining the swamp. Not bad mental fuel to warm a wintry morning in Idaho

I was recently posting on this very site, my rant about the “efficient” dishwashers, which in reality are so inefficient that people go back to the old, labor intensive way of doing dishes by hand.
Any good engineer would have told you, back then, that washing dishes by hand was not as efficient as those old machines.
So, the switch to the nuisance, pseudo-efficient machines wasn’t helpful, people were running the faucets while they re-washed plates, or not bothering with the machine at all.

Am I trying to take credit? A little.

      • And about this our Founders said this:

“No Bill of Attainder […] shall be passed.” Sec. 1.9.3.

They knew all about “maladministration,” and rejected it. They insisted on actual crimes for which the accused “shall face indictment, trial, conviction and punishment” in Court. Here, the House says nothing more and nothing less than “this man is offensive to us.” The charge is of their own devising, and the secretly-gathered “evidence” has never been presented to the accused, who has been completely denied due process.

This might be the way they used to do it in what is no longer the Soviet Union, but it is not how we do things here.

However, if the Senate agrees to a trial, Sec. 1.9.3 is neutered because “the House just did pass a Bill of Attainder, and the Senate accepted it.” Therefore, the President and all Justices now serve at the pleasure of Congress. No crime is required. The two Houses can now simply decide among themselves that “we just don’t like you anymore,” and throw you out. Tyranny will follow.

So everyone is shocked about the predicted outcome of NYC sanctuary policy?

Man Accused of Murdering Woman, 92, Should Have Been Deported, ICE Says
A killing that has shocked a community in Queens has become a flash point in the national debate over immigration.

The rape and murder of a 92-year-old woman in Queens became a flash point in the broader debate over immigration on Tuesday when federal authorities contended that the suspect should not have been in the country.
The officials said the suspect, Reeaz Khan, 21, had beaten up his father during an altercation in November that had resulted in his arrest, leading federal authorities at the time to ask New York City to hand him over for possible deportation.
Instead, he was arrested again on Friday and charged with the murder of the woman, Maria Fuertes.
In a statement issued by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Tuesday, officials said Mr. Khan was “an unlawfully present Guyanese national” who had been released “due to New York City’s sanctuary policies.”
The statement has pitted immigration officials from the Trump administration against local authorities in New York City, one of a number of so-called sanctuary cities around the country, where officials have resisted deputizing law enforcement to help federal immigration authorities detain and deport undocumented immigrants.
ICE officials said they had issued what is known as a detainer in November requesting that law enforcement turn over Mr. Khan for possible deportation after he was arrested and charged with attacking his father with a broken coffee cup.

    Short read.

NANCY PELOSI IS DOING PUTIN’S BIDDING:

“How can we take anything you say seriously if you engage in such utterly baseless allegations? Are you really too stupid to understand that by making such claims, you are becoming an asset in exactly the kind of undermining effort the Russians have advanced to run down trust in our representative government? The effort to seed distrust has been one of the best returns on investment of any foreign power – and when Pelosi and her fellow leading Democrats engage in such crazed speculation, they are doing the work of America’s enemies. Today, she named New York Congressman Hakeem Jeffries an impeachment manager – one day after he suggested his political opponents are engaged in “a coverup” led by “Moscow Mitch and the Senate Republicans.”

This goes beyond stupid and irresponsible. It is a vile failure of leadership that will have long-ranging ramifications and do damage to the country should the president be re-elected – an effort which such allegations only help.”
