    Tuesday night update – 1/14/20

    – 🧱 Univision news video of the new wall going up on Project 2. This was probably filmed Monday as a larger stretch of wall is shown than the video I posted yesterday (Sunday footage).

    – 2 drone videos of Project 1.
    – 1 photo from Project 1.

    – Tweet about Project’s 3 & 4 moving along and Trump being briefed on one of them yesterday.
    – Misc. tweets.

    – – – – – –
***Praise: 👍 (11/20/19)… DHS Secretary Chad Wolf & CBP Chief gave a huge endorsement to WeBuildTheWall while visiting Project 1. CBP Chief called it a “Game Changer”. It’s the only time CBP or DHS have ever endorsed a wall builder.
***Praise: 🧱 (12/2/19)… Fisher Sand & Gravel was awarded a $400M border wall contract to build 31 miles of wall in the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge in Yuma County, Arizona.
(Fisher receives $268M of this $400M project)(Estimated contract completion date is Dec 30, 2020.) (2 days of posts here & here.)
***Praise: (12/4/19)… Brian Kolfage & his family were given the opportunity to visit the White House.

***Praise: Fisher Industries and crews were able to keep working on some aspects of Project 2 from the Dec. 5th hearing (while still working within the limits set by the Temporary Restraining Order) up through Dec 12th, after which they agreed to stop until Jan 4th, the day after the amended TRO expired.
***Praise: (Jan 3)… Although Judge Crane extended the TRO another week to Jan 9, he lifted/removed section 8b from the TRO so that Fisher may now continue to shave, grade, or cut the riverbank.
***Praise: (Jan 9)… Judge Randy Crane lifted/removed the TROs from both the Federal government’s lawsuit (on behalf of the IBWC) and the North American Butterfly Association’s lawsuit (on behalf of Marianna Trevino-Wright’s National Butterfly Center) against Fisher Sand and Gravel Co.
***Praise: 🧱 Fisher was able to begin installing bollards on Sunday (Jan 12). (To be completed 8 to 10 days later.)

***Praise: (Reported on 12/11/19)… Although WBTW doesn’t have $50 million for Project 2, as a result of the success on Project 1, investors have united to come together to secure that stretch of the border on Project 2.
(1/13/20 update)… Fisher is taking the lead on Project 2 and is covering most of the money for the wall costing ~$40+ million. (Haven’t heard any more about other investors with the exception of WBTW as a minor investor. Not sure what the discrepancy is between 40M and 50M; perhaps it’s because Fisher plans to sell Project 2 back to the government for $14M per mile ~ $49M for 3.5mi.)
***Praise: 🔍 (Reported on 12/18/19)… Senator Kevin Cramer was able to complete his in-depth review of the USACE procurement process and send a letter with his findings and recommendations to President Trump on 12/6/19.
***Praise:🇺🇸 (12/22/19)… Brian Kolfage was awarded Patriot of the Year award by Turning Point USA at their Student Action Summit for his work with WBTW in helping to securing our border.

🙏 Prayer for the work crews. 🙏
Heavenly Father, we pray in Jesus’ name:
    – for safety and good weather for the work crews as they work on Project 2; that they would be able to continue uninterrupted (w/ no new TROs) until completion (~ 8 to 10 days later).

    – that the DoD IG’s office audit of the $400 million border wall contract which the USACE awarded Fisher Sand & Gravel would show everything is fair and above board; that the swamp in DoD and USACE wouldn’t be able to corrupt the process; & that Fisher would be authorized to proceed with the project as planned.
    – that Rep. Warren Petersen’s (R-AZ) bill,HB 2084, making it easier to build border wall on private property in Arizona would get passed.
    – for the bi-national summit with the Mexican IBWC and American politicians that WBTW will be hosting; for open lines of communication/understanding; that WBTW/Fisher Industries would learn what they need to know to facilitate the sign off and approval of their projects by the Mexican IBWC.

    – for 100% safety/health/guidance/direction for the work crews, security personnel, legal team, CBP, DHS, Army and all involved in Project’s 2, 3, and other projects.
    – that work would go smoothly with continual, innovative improvements in method/process/efficiency and quality of construction; and with transitioning as they scale up capacity(manpower, equipment, etc.) to build larger projects
    – that there would be no outside interference (cartels, IBWC, courts/judges, protesters, swamp, etc.) and that if outside interference takes place that it would only work toward WBTW/Fisher Industries/USA’s benefit (exposing corruption, raising awareness, fundraising, etc.)

    – that Project 2’s wall will prove that WBTW/Fisher Industries can rapidly complete large sections of wall, with a superior build, at the lowest price
    – that this wall would prove that the design is sound and they are able to safely and effectively build it on a large scale in the Rio Grande Valley (Project 2’s “water wall” design is the first border wall that’s ever been built inside the flood plain)
    – that the federal government would provide funding for WBTW to build 250 miles on Private Property in Texas

    – that the Government would purchase all of WBTW’s projects so the funds can be rolled into future projects and Fisher Industries will be able to scale up with additional equipment and manpower as needed.
(This, in addition to ongoing fundraising from public/investors, will allow WBTW/Fisher Industries to continue to self fund projects, build their reputation/resume, while they continue to pursue other avenues which could lead to government contracts down the road.)

Maybe WBTW’s film guy hasn’t arrived yet?

Still not sure if Fisher is putting up 40 or 56 feet of wall panels at a time. Guessing just 40 feet for now. Maybe cement supply is limited?

But what I see is encouraging!

Jeff Rainforth probably arrived Sunday. Maybe they are letting the media get first shot at footage while WBTW collects and organizes their own.

I counted the bollards in different videos & pictures on the rack and CATs and it holds 36 bollards.

          36 bollards x 8in./bol. = 288 inches
          36 spaces (35 between bol. + 1 extra at end) x 5 in. gap = 180 inches
          288in. + 175in. = 468in. / 12 = 39 foot wide section per CAT excavator

Stillwater: Your calculations back up my eye guess of just 40 feet of panels per Cat. Likely 40 feet of panels is just easier all around to handle for everybody.

56 feet of panels might just be a little temperamental to handle?

Sometimes in practice less is faster! Construction is funnyw like that sometimes!

You’re probably right about it being easier to handle.

Another thing I just thought of is that they just improved the patent for this project by adding 2 smaller hydraulics to the hanger. Maybe these smaller hydraulics have trouble fine tuning movement on a wider section.

I’ve never hear of those measuring tools before. I think we’ve figured out the how wide a section the CAT is carrying, but that tool could be useful to measure how big a stretch of wall has been built. It may be difficult to measure as it isn’t necessarily a straight line and meanders along with the river. Either that or wait of an update on the figure. 🙂

I don’t know for sure but I would guess that Fisher is expanding its own workforce. But also they will have their subcontractors for other things. I think on Project 1 a little over half the workforce was Fisher crew and the other half were their local partners for concrete, etc. and those that do the lighting package, fiber optics, cameras, and other technologies.

It will be interesting to know how they intend to expand.

    Excerpt:

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in an interview Tuesday that he welcomed replacing the Obama-era Iran nuclear deal with a new agreement negotiated by President Trump.

“If we’re going to get rid of it, let’s replace it and let’s replace it with the Trump deal,” Johnson told BBC, referencing the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear deal between Iran and world powers.

“President Trump is a great deal maker, by his own account and others,” he continued in an interview with BBC Breakfast’s Dan Walker. “Let’s work together to replace the JCPOA and get the Trump deal instead.”

    • Unfortunately for these guys … “the replacement for JCPOA” would be … nothing at all.

Let’s face it: the Iranians self-styled themselves to be “the Nazi’s,” and they expected all of you to “appease them,” if only because you really didn’t want to believe that they could actually be as bad as they were. And, amazingly enough, most of Europe forgot the entire lesson that they should have learned from Neville. They went for it.

Trump didn’t. Nor should you ever have.

      Get over it.

Apple will probably cry wolf about “protecting privacy” in refusing to assist in unlocking the “devices” owned by the killers. But like other big tech companies, Apple has no qualms about protecting Apple users’ privacy when it suits Apple’s purposes. In reality Apple makes a ton of money from vendors like Google who pay handsomely so their privacy-invading apps can be promoted to iPhone users.

President Trump is right, Apple owes it to the country to assist legitimate authorities solve important crimes, especially when it involves national security. Apple wouldn’t have to do it for free, charge a fat fee if the company wants to, but flat out refusal to help seems at the least unpatriotic.

Let’s assume there actually are any legitimate authorities to trust for this example. Sounds ok if they are asked to unlock a phone and done deal right? The problem is that’s not what they are generally asking.

There was a big deal about this awhile back but essentially government wants full time access to the backdoor, the tool, the hack, call it what you want. They act like apple won’t pick up the phone to help with just one phone. They surely would if it didn’t come with so many strings. Ideally a judge, warrant, and proper law enforcement motivation would precede each unlock.

That is exactly what is being sought. Access to phone data of a known terrorist, pursuant to a warrant requested and granted in open court (not some FISA star chamber). Apple should find itself on the very wrong side of real, not fake obstruction of justice and contempt charges.

Yes I do remember the prior case some years back. As you say, at that time the DoJ/FBI were demanding excessive concessions from Apple and I wasn’t in favor of it at all. A government “backdoor” into the private affairs of citizens is unacceptable.

In the present case AFAIK no one was talking about backdoors. The request was for particular phones associated with the recent killings by the Saudi “trainee”. To that extent it seems to be a legitimate request that Apple turned down.

Maybe there’s more to it that makes it problematic, but not clear what that is. On the surface anyway it looks like a corporate form of TDS, which BTW is a widespread affliction of tech companies.

Just remove the solid state memory chip ( a bit of soldering I know ) and put it into another phone and then read, otherwise its just network encryption and then get it from the telco through the ISP, their is nothing that can be encrypted by software in one iPhone that is not in another iPhone apart from a password which can be easily overcome with the apple analysis and diagnostic equipment used in repair centre`s,

      • Beau Geste says:

Perceptive analysis Kim. If the memory chips are not encoded, it should not be difficult to remove the memory and connect it to an unencrypted reader. And even if encoded with a simple “password”, it is not difficult to process simply encrypted text. IIRC, a problem with leaving the memory in the same encrypted cellphone is that after a limited number of read attempts, the memory self-destructs. But this should not happen when the memory chips are removed to another reader.

LTR – I’d like to agree, but McConnell has been talking like this since the begining. It’s almost like he’s trying to engrave his tough stance in our minds, so if anything bad happens we can all remember how tough Mitch was.

However, reality is that Mitch initially said it was DOA (Dead on Arrival) at Senate (and still keeps acting like that), but now this is going to trial with new “evidence” and most likely with new witnesses.

Mitch talks about a weak Dem case and poor conduct by the House, but by default gives credibility to the House Impeachment overall.

This is how we know there are ulterior motives. The entire process was a sham and the Constitution has been ignored. Nothing else should be discussed until the constitutional hurdles are overcome.

And, a ‘good’ muslim would be following the tenets which are ideologically opposed to what America is. A ‘good’ muslim could never be an American, they could only be on the land but never have claim to the soil of America.

Interesting perspective on healthcare and GOP should develop the correct message. Health care could be a really big issue in 2020 as economy is good and people are feeling pain in healthcare cost.
I had a Canadian TD fan as guest over the holidays and let her go unchallenged in the holiday spirit. She think healthcare is a right and it is humane to make sure everyone has healthcare. One single payer govt system should be implemented and tight regulations to bring down cost of drugs. A lot of support for such idea among the young people. Bernie previewed it today. Only 1200 per year and tax of 4% above 30k. Sounds much cheaper compared to premiums, deductables, copay etct etc. A solid counter argument needed, otherwise it will gain grounds among the young for sure. I have got feedback on this from the young voters specially students. Something to think about seriously. May be a complete write-up needed about it and a GOP proposal. I know my simple pst here will be lost but note down: healthcare will be a big issue in 2020.A major unfulfilled promise by trump (thanks to mccain and dem resistance and also lack of a gop plan).

But it must be puzzling and horrifying to all the Iranians risking their lives to protest the despotic regime. Makes me feel we’re morally obligated to purge Democrats from our government—they’ve amply demonstrated utter contempt for American values and have no legitimate claim to power whatsoever.

Great analysis of the fall-out of the US-PRC trade deal.

China’s Truce With U.S. Exposes Rest of the World
The phase one pact may lead Beijing to put more trade pressure on other countries.

    Excerpt.

‘ This could change the dynamics for countries in dealing with China. For many, it was a promised land of trade and investment, offering the potential of untapped markets and an enormous population of consumers. However, with Beijing heavily managing trade to ensure it doesn’t go into overall deficit, critical eyes increasingly recognize a mercantilist trap. The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, seen as Beijing’s counter-play to the Trans-Pacific Partnership that Trump ditched early on, has failed to take off. India declared it would not join a playing field tilted toward China.

Despite the headline battle with Washington, China’s biggest trade competitors are other middle- and low-income countries. They will find it hard to capitalize off the trade war if Beijing forces them into deficits to feed its own appetite for dollars. The Made In China 2025 self-reliance drive has become one of President Xi Jinping’s signature policies to move China from low-skilled to semi-skilled products. Grumbling can be heard from Asia to Europe as economies more directly face the managed trade that drove Trump’s complaints.’

Actually in my experience there is not a “best” country in the world because different people have different things that make them happy.
The reasons that I love America are some of the same reasons that many people that I know would not, and the reasons that that they love places like Denmark are the same reasons that I do not.

Fantastic President Trump rally tonight. President Trump had me LOL many times during his speech.

I always make a day of a President Trump rally because they are so information rich. I like RSBN, even with all their warts and hiccups, because they show the attendees and talk to them. Having spent over 40 years in the psychological field, carefully observing people is second nature to me and I learn a lot from watching the attendees and listening to them.

Look at the turnouts for President Trump’s rallies. In about a week, President Trump will have been on the job of President for 3 years. When ever President Trump has an event, it is always SRO with a massive crowd that can’t get in but stay anyway to watch the outdoor screens and this is no matter what state or city he is in and no matter how bad the weather (it was brutally cold and rainy today and still people came by the 10s of thousands). Obviously, the people approve of the job President Trump is doing because he is helping them personally, something the crooked nitwits in DC haven’t done in my lifetime. Each rally is an opinion poll of President Trump just like each D-rat event is the same. Look at the turnouts; President Trump gets 10s of thousands for each event, the typical D-rat has at most, a few hundred.

President Trump connects with We the People. For instance, tonight he was talking about how outrageous government regulations had so crippled consumer products that cars were unsafe, dishwashers and washing machines did not clean and shower heads produced too little water to actually have an effective bath. He also talked about light bulbs and hinted at toilets. Every time he made these points, the people in camera view were nodding their heads in agreement. With President Trump, we have a President that is so thorough, even the least little things to make life better for We the People is still important to him and he is making it happen. Even with the fact that he has to fight the DC Rino and D-rat criminals every step of the way, he still is making life better for us.

Just a few points. One is that with every rally, the MAJORITY of the attendees are first timers! You don’t draw new people to an event unless they like the job you are doing. Up to this point, President Trump has personally addressed MILLIONS of people. There has been no one else in history that has done that.

Another point. The people who attend a President Trump rally are happy people. The people in camera view behind President Trump were smiling so much, they probably won’t be able to move their faces tomorrow. A President Trump rally is LOVE!

And a final point, to me, President Trump looked in a good mood; like he knew something good that he couldn’t talk about just yet. He was dynamic, powerful and funny in his presentation. The people loved it. President Trump is LOVED!!!!!!!

Great rally yesterday evening! Your observations about the people attending the rallies are spot on. They are a very upbeat crowd, no doom and gloom to be found there, unlike the hate-filled leftist-dominated gatherings.

As an aside, interesting that the Democrat debate got to be contentious among participants (Sanders vs. Warren). Beyond that every other word out of the candidates’ mouths was spewing pure spiteful animosity toward the President. But I imagine Democrats would say PT was badmouthing them, even if we only hear it as “the truth”. At least PT injects a lot of genuine humor into his comments about opponents, and doesn’t really seem to be mean-spirited.

BTW in terms of President Trump’s voter appeal, it’s worth mentioning that pretty consistently around 20% of the people at the rallies are Democrats! That’s an amazing statistic, I think it should have the Democrat overlords quite worried. If anywhere near that fraction of Democrats votes for the President this November, it’s gonna be a YUGE blowout like hasn’t been seen in a very long time.

So true, the President surely does connect with many people. As I frequently hear people say, his “style” is offputting, they dislike the way he “brands” opponents, makes fun of their physical characteristics.

And of course there’s the “orange man bad” contingent, totally and hopelessly clueless.

That said, you’re right, none of the Democrat “CAN’T-idates” (quoting Greg Gutfeld) holds a candle to PT in respect to “connecting” to the broad majority of Americans. But hey, it’s their party and they’re gonna do what they wanna do, elections be damned.

FYI: Body of letter I sent to my Senators. Let your voice be heard.

The impeachment of our Great President Trump amounts to a Bill of attainder. A legislative act declaring that a person is guilty of a crime and setting punishment without the benefit of a formal trial. The Constitution forbids the federal government (Article I, Section 9, clause 3) and the state governments (Article I, Section 10, clause 1) from passing bills of attainder.

There is absolutely no basis for this travesty not only perpetrated on President Trump but also on The Constitution a contract from the Founders to the future and by extension every American. We expect a vociferous defense of our Constitution and the sanctity of the voters choice of President Donald J Trump in 2016. This is nothing by a political hit-job, act accordingly.
