New Jersey Democrat Congressman, Jeff Van Drew, Will Switch Parties Over Impeachment Fraud…

Jeff Van Drew is a democrat congressman from New Jersey CD-02.  According to multiple media reports he is likely to switch to the republican party next week due to the fraudulent impeachment effort.  Van Drew was one of two democrats who did not support the vote for the impeachment inquiry.

According to Politico Democrat leadership are in a panic and urgently trying to get ahold of Van Drew.  The optics of a democrat changing parties at the same time they are trying to sell the validity of an impeachment narrative are terrible.

[…] Van Drew’s congressional and campaign staff were informed he was planning to switch parties on Saturday, according to Democratic sources. The question was now when, not if, Van Drew was joining the Republican Party, according to several Democrats with knowledge of the ongoing conversations.

As of Saturday afternoon, it was still unclear if Van Drew would make the announcement before the House votes on impeachment, which is expected Wednesday.

“It was supposed to be bipartisan, it was supposed to be incontrovertible. It was supposed to be something that was always on the rarest of circumstances,” Van Drew told reporters about impeachment earlier this week. “Well it’s not bipartisan.” (read more)

Expect the “no” vote to rise. He’s not speaking generically about “incontrovertible” and “bipartisan”. He seems to be talking about what Leadership has told members…that they’ve been lied to. I’ll be interested to hear more from him.

Van Drew’s is the only alternative to those of “The Dirty 30” who want to retain their seats. (“The Dirty 30” is Bannon’s terms for the first term Dem Congressmen who won in 2018 in districts won by Trump in 2016.)

Regardless of their votes on impeachment, they are all gone in 2020. Unlike 2018, Trump will be at the head of the ticket and the Conservative base will be fired up by the sham impeachment.

Also all but the 20% hard-core Dem voters will realize that any vote for a Dem congressman is a vote for Nancy Pelosi and another two years of gridlock and likely another impeachment. Even if their Dem Congressman voted against articles of impeachment in 2019, if he is re-elected in 2020 he will vote for the radical Pelosi.

Hopefully Van Drew at least starts a trend of “no” votes among the more centrist Democrats.

It is South Jersey where I am from. Used to be LoBiondo(R) for years then he just retired in 2018. It is a farming area with parts of the South Jersey shore. Parts of the District are GOP such as Ocean City, Cape May, parts of Vineland, Gloucester, Rosenhayn, etc.

Used to be!!! Yeah, before Mitch screwed all the Republican homeowners in South Jersey and every other suburban Republican district in the country by limiting the SALT DEDUCTION to $10,000. President Trump wanted $20,000 because he knew it would cover 90% of middle income cops, firemen and union construction workers in those districts but Ryan and McConnell said no because they wanted Republicans to lose the House!

Ocean County in NJ unfortunately USED to be very red. Unfortunately, we have seen an enormous amount of illegals and refugees in our cities within Ocean County. I don’t know how much longer we can hold onto it 😩 I pray President Trump would hold a rally in NJ. 🙏🏼

It would be great if he announced his switch to the Republican Party on the floor of the House when he votes no on impeachment. He can, and should, help lead the “Walk Away” movement.
In addition to listening to, and actually representing his constituents, he was probably catching intense and hateful pressure from the left for his earlier no vote and siding with Republicans. That vitriol, (and threats I’m sure), may have been the final straw.
May he be the first of many.

You can thank the RINOs who advised President Trump to cap the SALT DEDUCTION at 10,000 for losing the House of Representatives! Everyone one of those 31 Republican Districts flipped because we handed Pelosi Galore a pocketbook campaign issue that the Democrats were easily able to exploit and what did we gain? NOTHING! Taxpayers can already deduct 100% of taxes paid to a foreign government. So, go ahead and bitchh and moan about the Impeachment hoax and Ukraine and the Schiff-Nadler schitt show but we screwed middle class Republicans like all the cops, firefighters, construction workers and UPS drivers who live in suburban New York, New York, Connecticut and California plus a dozen other states for ZERO. I hope everyone enjoyed the last year!

Mitch and Ryan used their majority contrhol to LOSE,elections in the run up to the midterms.
There, are all sorts of ways the majority can, and in the past HAS, used their authority politically, to polish their image (and dirty their opponents image) in the run up to the election.
Putting legislation to a vote that puts the opposition on the wrong side of popular issues, for instance.
McConnell and Ryan turned this strategy on its head, and it WASN’T cause “Party of Stupid”; it was INTENTIONAL.

While your party has been pushing open borders for decades, refusing to secure the borders, and allowing the third world to demographically take over and change our country for the worse, where were you?

Your party has been doing everything in their power to destroy this country for decades, yet you stayed with them, why?

Kind of hard to have ANY record since virtually nothing has been done since dems took the house and that is when he came on board. As we all know it doesn’t matter what letter is behind the name. Personally if he has the ethics to call it out for the sham it is and defect I am good with that. Throw an (I), throw a (R), throw whatever it will be fine. We need more people who ARE ethical and moral and ACT on it.

While I agree with you the letter behind the name means literally nothing, I can’t agree a person who sells out his country for power and votes is by any means close to ethical and moral

        • III% says:

When ones moral and ethical compass has been dinged and damaged by leftism it sometimes takes an adjustment to come back to “true north”. This sham MAY be what umgums the needle a bit. Regardless of what I think, it is up to the people in his district to decide.

    • Super Elite Lt. Col. Covfefe999 says:

Well he’s not that bad. At least he wants to ban partial birth abortions and thinks there should be a waiting period before abortions. That’s not a typical Dem position.

And how long will his stance on partial birth abortions last when he’s done handing our country over to the third world?

If you recall one of the Trumpet’s main points in ‘Art of the Deal,’ he knows how to work politicians.

If the Trump administration backs Drew in the next election, with Drew as a republican, Drew wins easy. Trump knows these congress people want re-elected.

The democrats were astoundingly unimpressive over the past several months, and now with Barr and Durham indicating that some feces is going to hit some fans, the democrat party is not a very desirable place to be.

    Plus, the optics are powerful.

    • WeThePeople2016 says:

I was just thinking the same thing. I would not trust him with GOP plans/strategies. He would pass that to the DEM leadership. Also, he endorsed Corey Booker for President. I don’t know this for a fact, but I surmise he ran as a moderate and turned Left after winning. That is why he is polling at 24% in his District. There are a lot of Trump supporters in that area. When I visit, I see the flags, signs, bumper stickers, etc.

    I do not know

(maybe) have help with funding their campaign…that also allows for a decent nights sleep – with a clear conscience and some consistent virtues.

#2 He is ANTI-2A and is pushing the DEMOCRAT positions for an ASSAULT WEAPON BAN,
    ENHANCED BG CHECKS, …., etc.
#3 Voted “AYE” on EVERY Democrat bill except impeachment.

He is NOT a conservative in ANY WAY SHAPE or FORM. and cannot be trusted to support President Trump based upon my research.

      Gun-control is not necessarily anti-2A.

#3 Voted “AYE” on EVERY Democrat bill except impeachment.

I know that’s not true because I posted above that he voted No to find Barr and Ross in contempt of Congress.

But even if what you wrote were true, we don’t need this guy to vote like our best Republicans. Adding him to the Republican side means one more Republican and one less Democrat which will help in the Nov 2020 election when we try to get the GOP majority back.

For what ever reason “The politician” is doing this…
All the “Base” sees… Is defection. “Someone is LEAVING…
      “Can they DO THAT?!?”
      “Just… LEAVE?!?”

The Globalists have been playing a game of “Jenga”… If you like.

But, That’s the down side of playing “Jenga” and calling it Governing…

In a game of Jenga, you and a competitor try and make the “tallest” tower using “only” a finite number of “blocks”.

Each player (in turn) increases the heighth of the tower by removing blocks from a layer at the base (Foundation) and placing them above – to begin another layer at the top.
One must be sure to keep the tower foundation sound/sturdy by not removing a block which will cause it to become unbalanced and collapse.
The player who, having removed (lossed) a block which precipitates the collapse of the tower, is declared…..
      the LOSER!!

      “Really!!!.. Leaving???”
      “But, I thought….”

      Delicious…. 😁

Peterson said he expects 4-5 other Democrats will do the same. (Snip) Peterson said Trump “has not committed a crime” and most people in the Seventh District don’t think the US should provide foreign aid, so they are not troubled at all if Trump withheld funds to Ukraine. Peterson also said the case against Trump only includes “second-hand” information about Trump’s questionable phone call.
