Unfortunately, none of the great, logical, fact-based speeches that the Republicans are putting forth will be on the national news this evening…one of the biggest issues that President Trump has had to fight his entire Presidency is the blatantly biased media coverage.

The delusional Left is just going to continue screaming “Orange Man Bad!” but there are millions of middle of the road, independent voters who are, frankly, too busy or too lazy to actually get into the weeds and dig for facts. THOSE are the ones that are swayed by the MSM soundbites and those are the ones who keep putting the lunatics into office because they have been told that the President is bad and the Democrats are trying to “save the country”.

Breaking up the media monopolies AND reforming the actual election process to stop the BLATANT fraud, are, IMHO, the two biggest issues that have to be addressed immediately. I still believe that the House was stolen in 2018, both because of all the Republicans who suddenly decided to “retire” and because of fraudulent ballots in numerous districts, specifically Southern California.

Did you see Feinstein yesterday, sitting next to Graham?

I was shocked at her clearly visible decline even since the Kavanaugh hearing. She dang near looked dead!

But I would also say that Feinstein is old-school corrupt, but not new-school dumb like the Booker, et al crowd. She’s been around a long, long time and is one of the sanest of the Crazy Party (those are relative terms, but it is possible to be thoroughly corrupt, yet sane). Maybe one reason she looked so bad yesterday is that she realizes how deep down the rabbit hole things have gone and knows that something bad is coming….?

As SD has mentioned numerous times, there are TRILLIONS of dollars subject to be lost by the Globalists at stake from PDJTs trade reset with China, and they – along with China – are throwing money at getting rid of Trump by the truckload. Many Senators are wealthy beyond their dreams already and getting old, as well.

My concern is that enough of them say to hell with getting reelected, take the payoff and throw POTUS under the bus.

    • “Actually, they can’t.” They just don’t want to admit it yet.

“No Bill of Attainder […] shall be passed.” (Sec. 1.9.3)

What they are now attempting fits every textbook requirement for Attainder:
      (1) The legislature, with malicious intent and on its own recognition, declares an individual to be guilty of a crime (“according to us”).
      (2) The legislature then punishes the individual for that crime, by impeachment in this case.
      (3) It does this without benefit of trial, nor any due process.

In fact, the Democrats are even calling Trump’s reasonable attempts to secure “due process” to itself be(!) “an impeachable offense.”

The first question of course will be: “will ‘every Congressman who wears a blue T-shirt’ actually obey the orders given to them by their septuagenarian overlords? Or, will they think for themselves? Will they willingly sacrifice their own political futures in the service of criminals … criminals who won’t be toppled? Are they even bothering to find out what their constituents think, or is it simply “blind obedience to utter stupidity?”

The septuagenarians are simply confident that the Democratic Representatives will toe the line and do as they are commanded to do. They simply assume that the Bill of Attainder will be passed. Then, they expect that the Senate will also ignore 1.9.3 in its determination to get rid of the first President who directly challenged their sovereign rights to commit high crimes with impunity anywhere in the world. That the text of the US Constitution will be ignored in order to protect political corruption … the voters be damned.

If you’re a president whose own DOJ has been provably arrayed against you and would, therefore, be unwilling to investigate something like the Crowdstrike involvement in the supposed “hack” of the DNC (it being a “debunked conspiracy theory”, after all), why wouldn’t you try to get help from another friendly country with a connection to Crowdstrike? And in order to ensure that that country follow through with investigating, why wouldn’t you want them to announce publicly that they will be investigating – since it would create an expectation that they actually investigate?
And why wouldn’t you want that country to help ascertain whether a possible US presidential candidate has traded upon his office to enrich his family – especially given the unwillingness of your own DOJ to take action?

There are perfectly benign non-political explanations for the requests the president made of Zelensky. If exposing corruption on the part of Joe & Hunter Biden also happens to help your re-election bid, so be it.

Yup, Pres Trump is expert at “outsourcing” functions the Democrats refuse to vote for in Congress, or bureaucrats “resist” doing. Like get Mexico to guard our southern border and have Ukraine investigate our corrupt officials.

Not that such workarounds weren’t used by prior administrations. In fact the whole bloody Spygate mess was propagated by having foreign intelligence supply “information” about US events. Of course the conduct of the Obama admin was hardly benign. The Democrats want to cast the Trump admin’s efforts in the same filthy light, but that’s DOA, just not gonna fly.

    • The thing that scares the Democrats to death is that the Ukranians, by an overwhelming majority, elected a new President and many new members of Government specifically on their own version of a “Drain The Swamp™” ticket.

Today, the Ukranians are investigating, and this time there is no POTUS to “give ’em six hours.”

We have a ratified treaty with Ukraine … then-Senator Biden voted for it … which pledges mutual law-enforcement cooperation specifically with regards to corruption. But neither President needs prompting to investigate many wrongdoings that have been going on for decades.

The Democrats aren’t worried that this President is criminal: they’re worried that he isn’t. 🤡

I replied to that Jordan tweet. What he says is true in principle.
It is not true in fact. The unelected bureaucrats (and the judges) set and enforce policy, and Congress just preens itself. Congress purposely established the deep state by creating unaccountable agencies, and having them led by “Senior Executive service” people. Congress has made it near impossible to fire saboteurs.

Logically, if Ukraine is the issue which determines whether there is any impeachable offense then Ukraine must be investigated. To not investigate Ukraine means there are no grounds for impeachment. The other argument, which is election influence is not a valid argument since both Democrats and Republicans have candidates. So, to replace Joe Biden with Hunter Biden doesn’t suffice since the scope is more generally what happened in Ukraine. Jaresko is still employed and working in Puerto Rico after making millions in Ukraine. The Democrats brought impeachment and did so without investigation into Ukraine. Their desire to protect the Bidens and their party are plainly the reasons they pursue impeachment sans a Ukraine investigation. Since the aid must be released by law is it unreasonable to assume that the Embassy staff in Ukraine knew that? Therefore, isn’t it likely that the Ukrainians also knew that and were therefore confident the aid would be delivered? Clearly, the Congress has no regard or respect for the citizens. I for one want to see corruption in Ukraine involving US tax dollars investigated and NOT in the context of impeaching the POTUS. Further, impeachment prior to conclusion of the Durham investigation is premature. You would think the failures and patent lies the Democrats have put forth as truth over the preceding years should cause them to exercise judgement and caution but there is no penalty for their injustices so expect more of the same. In answer to the Democrats, the American people did decide the 2016 election and the American people will decide the 2020 election.

    • Many people are known to be guilty of high crimes involving Ukraine for which they have never been arraigned and punished. That list of names specifically includes:
      • Obama
      • Biden
      • Nadler
      • Schiff
      • Pelosi

… and, many others. Mind you, I did not list those people because they are prominent right now. The crimes include embezzlement, racketeering, gun running, drug running, influence peddling, extortion, and much more. (Mr. Biden boasted of it, and implicated Mr. Obama as he did so. And yet he thought nothing of it.)

This is the “stupendous criminality” that right now seeks to protect itself, even by illegal and unconstitutional means.

But the Ukranians elected a new government based on “Drain the Swamp,” and what these Members of Congress now fear most is that “the Ukranians don’t need prompting, much less quid-pro-quo,” to do what they are right now doing. Because, this time, they don’t have a POTUS to “give them six hours.”

So, what Mme. Pelosi actually intends is a literal “palace coup.” She will simultaneously impeach Trump and Pence, and thus seize the Presidency for herself. She intends to take it by force.

By my count today, of the 31 new Dems in Trump districts, likely 9 and possibly 12 will defect and vote no. Three have already declared. Pelosi has said she won’t ‘whip’ votes. It would take 17 defections for the House Articles vote to fail. So she likely has a majority by about 5-8.

BUT it makes a sham of her earlier ‘bipartisan impeachment’ comments. The bipartisan vote will be no, not yes. And that fact should cost Dems at least about 18 seats in 2020. And probably her the Speakership—the wild card is all the retiring Repub reps where we don’t know how the replacement races shape up yet.

Steve Bannon says that it is in President Trump’s best interests to seek a Senate trial where he is fully exonerated, not simply acquitted.

In other words, the Senate trial would be used to send a powerful message that President Trump did nothing wrong at all, not simply that there wasn’t enough evidence to convict him.

Thinking further about this strategy, then the Deep State’s and the Democrat’s coup against the President might be fought in two major but separate actions:

    — Use the Senate trial to expose the purely partisan nature of the House impeachment by focusing very narrowly on Ukraine and on alleged abuse of power.

    — Allow the Durham investigation to proceed quietly forward without fanfare until such time as criminal indictments are issued.

A narrowly focused Senate trial demonstrates to the voting public just where the Democrats are coming from. It also prepares the public for understanding the complexities and the motivations behind Spygate, once these have been fully revealed by the Durham investigation.

In addition to keeping the public’s attention fully focused on topics that are digestible over shorter periods of time, doing it this way also has the benefit of not prejudicing any criminal trials prosecuted later against the Spygate perpetrators.

So the media chooses to reveal themselves and suddenly allows disparaging comments about Dimms?. And even if they did, how many low info voters would have the patience to watch it play out…and believe?
And then there was my grandmother who watched the network reporting of a landing on the moon and was certain it was either another movie, or a replay of the Orson Welles’ Martian invasion.

“Steve Bannon says that it is in President Trump’s best interests to seek a Senate trial where he is fully exonerated, not simply acquitted.”

That makes sense, however it helps establish a precedent where instead of guilt having to be proved beyond a reasonable doubt, now innocence must be proved beyond a reasonable.

Once that precedent is embedded (and these yahoos we’re watching are VERY good at EMBEDDING things)….once that precendent is embedded, no Republican president (or less than leftist….) will ever serve a full term again, no matter how great the landslide at the time of the election.

That may feel like winning a battle, but I don’t think it contributes to winning the war.

So the OMB released documentation that they placed the hold on 6/19 based on Trump’s concerns stemming from a WashTimes report. I realize with the Democrats citing crazy stuff like suffrage and immigration that “impeachment” is just a document they are all going to hang their different grievances on…but the OMB documentation proves (again) that Trump’s concerns about Ukraine far pre-date the phone call with Zelensky and had nothing to do with somehow abusing power to go after Biden.

  31. If impeachment ends up in the Senate, Republicans will have a golden, political opportunity at its conclusion, especially if:
    A. A motion to dismiss the charges, based on the insufficiency of the evidence, is granted, or

    B. The matter proceeds to trial and is concluded quickly in favor of the President.
In either case, the Republicans should insist on the opportunity, AT THE MOMENT IT CONCLUDES AND IN THE SENATE CHAMBER, to blister the Dems for their politically-motivated, grandstanding abuse of power. It should not be a moment of coming-together, or of gentlemanly commiseration for the losing Democrats, but one of scorn for the reprehensible their behavior, and for all the Nation to witness.
The United States Government has never seen the likes of these radical, totalitarian-inspired socialists/communists, and should be told (in the very words of Maxine The Mad Max Waters, ” YOU’RE NOT WELCOME HERE!!”

“Real” impeachment (the political kind, a la Nixon) has failed so completely, the Dems are left with a miserable political calculus for 2020. The articles are weak and dull. The MSM can’t generate any sex-appeal, suspense, or genuine excitement. Far from bipartisan, Repubs will vote 100% on party line and 5-10 Dems vulnerable Dems will be allowed to vote no.

Impeach = If we do not impeach, the base stays home and we lose. We’re way too far down this road to turn back now. We can use it to appease our lunatic leftist fringe and dirty up Trump enough to sway enough independents to get out and vote in the swing states that will decide the election. 2020 campaign message is vote against Trump and finish the finish the job we started. We’ll retain House control by a small majority in 2020 by minimizing our losses and picking up seats from retiring Republicans.

Don’t impeach = If we impeach, the Senate will aquit and we infuriate and energize the entire Republican base and alienate independents, including those who don’t like Trump but hate impeachment. GOP will tie that albatross around our necks and beat us to death with it in 2020. We will lose the house, lose Senate seats, and lose the presidency. We can’t be “Do nothing Democrats.” Get back to basics: pretend to have a message, then focus the race card, the war-on-women card, the union payoffs, and election theft.

Just a heads up… the democrats will not accept a innocent verdict in the senate… just like the 2116 election of President Trump..Today’s farce of a hearing proves that.. lie after lie… 13 Ukraine military killed… due to Trump withholding aid.

They will continue to try and devide this country to a civil war… the deep state does not care…

The FBI DOJ will do and sacrifice anyone…

He said this along with his comments on impeach the president because he is taller than the president of Ukraine and has a bigger chair at the UN than the president of Ukraine. He was saying that the president of Ukraine looked scared and intimidated by the President Trump, like he had his daughter duct taped in the basement…….. very disgusting.

      • SouthernTrumpette says:

Johnson made that remark a bit earlier this afternoon to emphasize his point that there is great disparity between the President of the US and the President of Ukraine.
He said that, of course, Zelensky wouldn’t admit to Trump pressuring him, while Trump
had Zelensky’s daughter “duct-taped in the basement.”

He went on to say that Trump used his greater physical size at his meeting at the UN
with Zelensky where the 6’3″ Trump was sitting in a “throne” and the puny Zelensky was sitting in a little chair.

Johnson also offered his sympathy to the fearful Republicans who are so cowed by Trump that they are knocking themselves out to defend him. They are afraid, you see, that if they don’t do Trump’s bidding he will have them primaried and will go all out to have them defeated.

I assume he didn’t literally mean that Zelensky’s daughter was being held captive
in the basement… but who knows with that idiot.
