There is a truism that is hitting the mainstream like a sledgehammer and has awakened a new understanding of the left and their methods. That truism is this: the left accuses others of doing precisely what the left is doing or has done. They accused Trump of doing exactly what Biden did. This trick has been on full display these past months.

But there is another truism of the left that it is also necessary to understand. It is this: What are thought to be unintended consequences of leftist policies are really the INTENDED consequences. If you want to know the left’s intended result, just ask “what is the worst that could happen?” That is the intended result. Yes, they are that devious.

Gun confiscation. What is the worst that could happen? Sure, leaving an unarmed population at the mercy of a government gone bad. But more granularly, gun confiscation would pit law abiding gun owners against the police charged with taking their weapons, driving a wedge between regular citizens and police. That is the intended result, not an unintended consequence.

I am grateful to the Tea Party for influencing the movement that has become MAGA. Along with independents, I think a new political party will rise with the re-election of VSGPDJT to overcome the uniparty and the infiltration of socialist/communist ideology.

A third party is desperately needed. Has been for a long time but it took a person like PDJT to open peoples eyes. Independents like me have been grudgingly voting R for lack of a credible alternative. Both current parties are a disgrace. The republicans have very few honest politicians and and the dems have none.

3rd parties don’t work….can’t work….in our “winner take all, first past the post” system of elections.

What you are really saying is that the GOP needs to be replaced with a more “dedicated” opposition party.

Practically speaking, this gets done easier from within rather than by being replaced by a true “third party”. The last time a third party stepped in was the late 1850s when the Republics filled the void left by the disintegration of the Whigs.

Bottom line: work to improve the GOP. Thinking that you can start and grow a 3rd party to replace it is chasing unicorns…….

And when that happened the Great Rebellion followed because the southern Democrats wouldn’t accept the restriction of slavery to the states it already existed in. I’d rather not have the country go through anything like that again. Orders of magnitude greater population, dependency on transport and infrastructure for our daily bread and existence, and firepower. Better to replace it from within, like the Socialists did to the Democratic Party.

          Impossible. Only republicans think otherwise.
The Tea Party tried that and the chamber of commerce squashed them like bugs.
          Neither party is reformable.
Republicans still don’t get how much their party is hared. Without first the Tea Party and then Trump it would have won nothing and would already be in permanent opposition.

True and PT is giving the repubs a chance to become America’s party not just the whipping boy cowards the establishment repubs have been for decades. Let’s hope the Dems get crushed in 2020 and the “new” Republican Party evolves into a proactive conservative force for all of us.

I think this is more doable than starting a brand new party and expecting it to be number one right out of the gate. A lot of republicans would gravitate to a new party but there would be a good number who would want to stay with the old party imo. Split parties never come out on the good side of things.

lawrencepaul1 is correct. 90% of the Republicans in the House and Senate are bought and paid for by the globalists including the CoC and other major donors. While any Republican is better than any Democrat right now when we’re voting, we need a change. The biggest problem with a new party is that it takes many election cycles for a new party to build the support to win a national election.

If there’s nil difference between establishment GOP and dems (ie: a Uniparty), then what we need is a SECOND party to demolish the illusion of choice we now have.

I posit that Candidate Trump largely destroyed the GOP establishment in his run for president, hence his 95% approval among the GOP. The 95% are the new GOP, and the 5% are the remnants of the establishment, and overblown and overhyped minority to begin with.

I’ll go further and say that President Trump is allowing the democrats to destroy themselves. Again, showing how few in numbers their establishment really is, despite magnification by an adoring media whorehouse.

So…eventually we’ll have two competing parties. Maybe sooner than we think. A third party would therefor be unnecessary. ALL IMHO.

If a trial, PDJT has to burn it all down, starting right at the beginning with a list of witnesses that will take months to examine, including biden and obama etc. He has nothing to lose since this is the swamps only chance to remove him and they will.

John Roberts CAN NOT deny him the ability to defend himself, no matter what “rules” mitch and schumer cook up. This includes dismissing every dem senator and the vast majority of the gope senator “jurors” who can be shown under examination to have prejudice against PDJT. At some point, Roberts declares it a mistrial and with the swamp exposed, Barr has no choice but to prosecute.

IMO The best part of Eric Holder coming out and attacking Barr is it must mean Those who ordered the Code Red are getting nervous.

It also means they must see that Durham’s investigation is moving up a few rungs in the ladder.

So the more irate and outspoken Holder becomes IMO the higher up the ladder Durham is getting.

Oh, how I hope and pray Barr and Durham go for indictments and they do not stop at just the FIB and DOJ.

Nothing changes if this ends with just a few in the FIB and DOJ getting reprimanded and surely Barr knows that.

My understanding is that Comey was required to advise AG Lynch and DNI Clapper about the counterintel operation against the Trump campaign. Lynch has reported that she has “no recollection.” Certainly Clapper has already blamed Obama for being the source of the investigation. So my take is that yes, Obama might have felt the first lap of the wave just touching his toes. Possibly why Holder moving in closer to protect himself and Obama.

I’d add though that if Repub senators won’t allow fact witnesses like Schiff or Hunter Biden or Joe Biden to appear before Senate committees, and if people like Senator Burr and others on the SSCI are still being treated as above the law, I suppose speculating about Obama getting worried (or Hillary for that matter) is just silly and useless wishful thinking.

I’m a little obsessed with some info in the FISA report. When reading this keep in mind that it was Bill Priestap who was the head of Crossfire Hurricane, he opened the investigation on Jul 31 2016, and Strzok reported to him. The entire chain of command was: Peter Strzok -> Bill Priestap -> Michael Steinbach -> Andy McCabe -> Jim Comey

On or before the opening of Crossfire Hurricane, Priestap was aware that Strzok and Page were having an affair and he didn’t want it to affect the Crossfire Hurricane team.

Page 97 of the pdf: Priestap also told us that he originally wanted to assign the investigation to a Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) other than Strzok because, although he had confidence in Strzok’s counterintelligence capabilities, he had concerns about Strzok’s personal relationship with Lisa Page affecting the Crossfire Hurricane team.

And he wasn’t the only one who knew. Michael Steinbach did too. If people were already aware that Strzok and Page were having an affair, how the heck did they both end up on Mueller’s team in May 2017? Did McCabe recommend them to Mueller?

    Liked by 3 people

    • Super Elite Lt. Col. Covfefe999 says:

Page 97 of the pdf: According to Priestap, he told Steinbach about his concerns and Steinbach was supportive of his decision to remove Strzok from the team, but his decision was overruled by McCabe. Steinbach told us that he had concerns about Strzok and Lisa Page working together because he was aware of instances where they bypassed the chain of command to advise McCabe about case related information that had not been provided to Priestap or Steinbach. Priestap and Steinbach said they did not know why McCabe kept Strzok assigned to the investigation. Strzok told the OIG he did not ask McCabe to keep him on the investigation and does not know whether Lisa Page requested Strzok remain on the investigation in conversations with McCabe. We found no evidence that Page made any such request of McCabe.

I was looking at the Strzok-Page text messages and found some from early September 2016 which refute Horowitz’ finding that Page didn’t request to remain on the Crossfire Hurricane team. To keep this comment short I’m not including them all here, just a summary. You can see the text messages yourself to verify, they go from Sep 1 2016 through Sep 9 2016 (http://thespygateproject.org).

Page appealed to McCabe and was upset when he didn’t respond to her quickly. Page then confided in her pal James Baker who offered to intervene (which she declined) and also advised her to “cultivate a relationship with Steinbach”. Page told Baker she was thinking about telling McCabe she would quit if Steinbach didn’t (apparently she knew Steinbach was retiring from the FBI but it didn’t happen until Feb 2017), but Baker talked her out of it. Then McCabe finally responded to Page:

Sep 7 2016, Page: Andy just replied, said “Already spoke to S before I went to WH. Let’s talk in the morning.” I said okay.
Sep 7 2016, Strzok: I think (god I pray) it will be better after you talk to Andy
Sep 7 2016, Page: Well if it’s not I’ll leave. Make the same amount of money, be more bored, but have a better life

She had a meeting with McCabe the next day told Strzok it went well. She also noted that someone else (the name was redacted) had intervened on her half. So Horowitz was wrong, Page DID appeal to McCabe to keep her job.

People knew they were having an affair because you can always tell when two coworkers are having an affair, they think they’re being all cool about it but the signs are always so obvious. Andy McCabe never should have allowed them to be on the same team and someone should have warned Mueller’s handlers.

It’s not a trick but violates the very House Rules put in place by the democrats. I know its just window dressing at this point but needs to be said in public. The democrats can’t even follow their own rules as they rush towards the 3 votes required of the House to throw it over the wall to the senate. That alone is enough for Ms. Lindsey and Shanghai Mitch to say not senate trial with zero legal repercussions.

Just as the Socialist democrats are voting to shampeach the President, their holy shaman comes out to refute the beginnings of the sham –

    WaPo article is paywalled –
“The White House budget office asserts in a new legal memo that it withheld military aid to Ukraine as a temporary move to study whether the spending complied with U.S. policy – and not as a political effort to block Congress’s spending decisions.”

“The office first began discussing the aid on June 19, the day President Trump learned of the aid from an article in the Washington Examiner and questioned the wisdom of the spending”

We have been lulled into a trance. They have made us indifferent to ourselves…, to others…, we are focused only on our own gain. Please understand they are safe as long as they are not discovered. After weeks of shouting bribery Nadler admits there is no impeachment related crime committed by Trump

It is occasionally suggested that Presidents can be impeached only if they have
committed crimes. That position was rejected in President Nixon’s case, and then rejected
again in President Clinton’s, and should be rejected once more.

The AJC is complicit in many other misdeeds besides
destroying Richard Jewell, and shortening his life.

More then any other entity, they were the ones responsible
for wholesale white flight around Atlanta, Dekalb, and South
Fulton for decades with inflammatory articles.

The worst? “Dekalb County Schools in Black and White”
published in early mid 90s. Three parts, thousands of words.
Told about white kids getting beat up in Dekalb schools,
neighborhoods where all the homes were going up for sale
due to the schools, church congregations closing down due
to all the white flight. All 3 articles covered Stone Mountain,
Ga. Didn’t mention the fact that Stone Mountain covered 3
entire zip codes. The person that wrote the article never
appeared under a byline after the article came out.

And, the AJC profited mightily off of that article. Pages and
pages and pages of homes for sale in Stone Mountain. Back
in the days before online real estate listings.

Stone Mountain was, basically, identical to East Cobb County
when I moved to Atlanta. Upscale, affluent, majority white, and
Republican leaning. Pandemic moving after the AJC article,
conveniently about 2 years before the 1996 presidential election.

If Ms. Lindsey and Shanghai Mitch were actually going to follow the lead of their House counterparts, to actually defend the President and the integrity of Congress, they now have three items to on the list of reasons to NOT hold a senate trial.
      1. House rules violations with respect to granting the Republicans a hearing.
      2. Now attempting to impeach with items not listed in the Articles of Impeachment, written by the democrats.
      3. The WaPo article removes the entire predicate of both articles, actual in the Articles of Impeachment.

Throughout the day, I am sure more items will present themselves for addition to the list. Just sayin’ the excuses not to hold a trial are adding (unintentionally I am sure) to avoid deep state embarrassment in the senate.
